As Lauren was seeing Kate off, Emma was having dinner with the Black family.

"Thanks for inviting me again," said Emma.

"You're part of the family now, you are more than welcome at our family dinners," said Mrs. Black.

"The same goes for you, Marissa," said Mr. Black.

"Thank you sir," said Marissa as she sat next to Walter.

"By the way, Emma, what are your plans for the fall, will you be going to college or finding a job?" asked Gwen.

"I'm actually going to culinary school," said Emma.

"That's great news," said Mrs. Black while everyone congratulated her.

"Honestly I owe you for giving me kitchen duty as a punishment last summer, Mr. Black," said Emma as she looked across the table at the director.

"If it had not been for that then I would not have realized how much I actually like cooking and I may have never figured out what I want to do after school, so thank you," she said.

"Well I'm happy to see how far you have come since then," said Mr. Black.

"Yeah, you're like a completely different person from how you were at the beginning of last year," said Walter.

"Guess you can say that I was a puzzle with a few missing pieces," said Emma.

"But now I've found them and I'm one full picture now," she said while looking around at everyone with a smile.

"Oh, that's so sweet," said Gwen as she got up to hug Emma. A knock on the door then got everyone's attention away from their conversation.

"I'll get it," said Vivian. When she opened the door, she found Lauren standing there with a nervous expression.

"Hi, sorry for interrupting but is Emma here?" asked Lauren.

"Is something wrong, Lauren?" asked Emma who came over after hearing her name.

"I think I was just asked out on a date," said Lauren to everyone's surprise.
