There Once was a Boy with a dream Pt.2
A few days of eating and resting later, Rayleigh brought Izuku and Hibiki to the neighboring island of Egghead. When Izuku asked what Egghead was, Rayleigh had this to say:
"It's like that fancy I-Island where all the big-wig scientists make their fancy Support Items...but Vegapunk is way beyond any of those tinker toys."
And as they got closer, the boy believed the old man: Cybernetic sea monsters and other robots, amazing machines and wildlife…!
"Hibiki, look! There's…!" Izuku marvelled as they passed a giant robot of sorts. He then remembered his frend's plight and felt angered/enraged he'd forgotten it.
"I-its alright, Izuku." Hibiki said, trying to calm her friend, having stayed close to him but also being able to sense his downed mood.
"…Some hero in training I am." Izuku pouted.
"Kid, you're what…six? It happens." Rayliegh assured the boy as they made their way up towards the tallest tower on the island, Izuku marvelling at all he saw for as long as he could before Rayliegh, getting tired of the awe (not that he blamed the kid), picking the children up and dashed upwards, coming to a doorb.
"Hey, old man! You available?" Raylieh called out
"You're the older one!" Said a wise and excited voice as spoke through the door. "And no one may enter least they know the password!"
"…You don't have a password."
"Yes I do! I made one up this morning!"
"Then how am I supposed to know it?"
"Guess!"
"…These kids need help, Vegapunk."
"…close enough. SHAKA!"
"On it, sir."
The door opened, revealimng a tall man with a helmet for a head; Izuku recalled his father listening to a musician who wore a similar helmet…
"Please, come this way." Shaka motioned. "The doctor will be along shortly."
The trio followed Shaka inside as an elderly man in labcoat descended the stairs. He had a bushy moustache and long, silly tongue,,,but what most stood out was his bed; easily double his size.
"My goodness, Rayleigh! You didn't tell me you'd be here so soon!" The man said.
"You really surprised, Vegapunk?"
"Not really….So, the boy ate the Devil fruit, eh?"
Rayliegh placed Izuku down, allowing the man to take a good look at him.
"Mmmm…A kind and cleaver mind and already brave. I can live with such a child eating…"
"Does you have a Apple Quirk?" Izuku asked, pointing to the doctor's head, which looked like the tip and top of an apple.
The good doctor laughed at that one, his laugh getting a giggle out of the two children.
"That's a new one! Apple-powered! Ah wait, no, Riku came up with that. But, no, no. I don't have an apple related Meta Ability. Mine called 'Real Dream'; it essentially allows me to create whatever I think of. And please, dear boy, never address abilities as 'Quirks' in my presence; I refuse to call them that." Vegapunk said bluntly, stifling a shudder. "Makes them sound…. Anyways, what can I do for you, Rayliegh?"
Rayliegh placed Hibiki down on the ground.
"She's the main reason we came here; Izuku maybe have eaten your Devil fruit and will probably need that book you wrote about them…."
"Here I come with it."
In clunked in a large humanoid robot, one that looked like a wind up toy, carrying a book that he handed to the professor.
"Thank you, Pythagoras." Vegapunk smiled as he handed Izuku the book. The boy didn't immediately take it, however, pointing to his friend.
"Shakky did some research, turns out Hibiki is heiress to a martial arrts school." Rayliegh explained. "Or she was…until she was deemed Quirkless. Despite her current lack of eyes, her senses are fine; she's able to sense Izu's emotional state and presence."
"I see." Vegapunk mused. "Little Hibiki?"
"Y-yes doctor?"
"I can easily give you new eyes, even better than some Quirked ones. But…I must warn you….The procedure will be strenuous." Vegapunk told the little girl.
"I will not be a burden," Hibiki said with no room to argue.
This made the good doctor smile and he cleared his throat to call out for:
"Dorthy!"
A redheaded woman in a black dress suddenly appeared beside him.
"Yes, Professor?" the woman asked.
"Once Maetel is done with inventory, have her meet us in the operation room."
"Understood, Professor."
Dorthy then vanished as soon as she came and Pythagoras offered Hibiki his hand.
"Come along, you two. Izuku, you'll have to leave once we start, but I think its best you stay close until then."
Hibiki, following Pythagoras' voice, managed to grab a finger and allowed him to guide her and Izuku away.
5 hours later
Izuku had been mumbling to himself after scanning some of the book Vegapunk had given him.
"Logia, Paramecia, Zoan, Mythical, model…."
"Yeah, the doc likes to categorize." Rayliegh said as he chugged down some wine, just as a beautiful blonde woman in russian attire stepped out.
"I am Maetel, Dorthy;s co-assitant to Dr. Vegapunk." She explained.
Izuku stopped mumbling and ran towards the woman, silently begging for his friend tyo be okay.
"The operation was successful." Matel assured the little boy, whgo rushed past her to see his friend.
"….Soemthing happened." Rayliegh guessed, getting a nod.
(Inside the Operating room)
"Hibiki!" Izuku mcalled out.
"Izuku! Look! I can see! I can see you!" The little girl leapt from the table and rushed to her friend and savior, who she hugged. Izuku returned the hugs with glee and eleation.
The two compeltly missed the worried looks on the doctors' faces.
"Whoops!" Vegapunk gasped as he read a canaster. "I…did not mean to use thooooo…wait a second. Dorthoy?"
"Yes professor, the eyes are agreeing with her." The red haired woman nodded as Maetel escourted Rayleigh inside.
"Um…I-Izuku? Where did you skin and bones go?" Hibiki sunddely asked. "All I see is lines and dots."
"I'm right here." Izuku said, confused…until he saw Hibiki's eyes…as did everyone else.
"Amazing! I've never seen anything like it!" Vegapunk crowed in excitement as Izuku stared in awe at his friend's beautiful new eyes.
"They're amazing!" Izuku beamed.
"R-Really?" Hibiki asked.
"Yeah! They're a pretty purple…no wait, now theire turning red…and have little…commas on them?"
"Goodness gracious!" Vegap[unk gasped. "You got BOTH of them, young lady! The Rinnegan and Mangekyo Sharin…No, not one and the other…a fusion! We shall call it…the RINNE-SHARINGAN!"
Lightning suddenly cackled and horse whined around him,
"Subject to name change of course."
"The what?" Hibiki asked.
"The what?" Izuku followed.
"And the what?" Rayleigh concluded,
"From another dream of mine!" Vegapunk exp-lained. "One of monsters, samurai and ninjas! From that dream came two powerful eyes; one that could track movements and cast illusoions and grow even stronger when the user lost whom they loved most. But with that strength came blindness….And the other pair; by Oda and Horikoshi, those were the eyes of a god! Gravity manipulation, animal control, cybernetic enchacmenets, even limited resurrection!"
"Oh, you mean the 'Devil's eye' and the 'Eyes of the Sage.'" Rayliegh realized.
"Yes, exact…Wait, how do you know this?" Vegapunk asked amused.
"Roger was a history geek." Rayleigh shrugged, "I picked up a thing or two."
The discussion was then interrupted by:
CRASH!
BANG!
"JINHIHIHIHIHI!"
"GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE BRAT!"
"Catch me if can, Atlas! L:ilth! York!"
"Oh you're going to regret that!"
The group rushed outside to see a little girl with two toned hair, a teenager with headphones and a sultry blonde racing after a boy, who was surrounded by an aura of energy that gave him nine tails.
The boy had spiky hair, a mix of red and blonde and scars on his cheeks. His smile was like Ka-chan; confident, battle hungry...but his canines were larger and his eyes showed more kindness than the blonde Pomerainian.'
"RIKU!" Vegapunk suddenly called out.
The charging boy suddenly fell onto the floor and looked on at the Apple headed man.
"Yeah? What's up, doc?" The boy known as Riku said, embarrassment and shame clear in his voice.
"What have I taught you about how to conduct yourself around newcomers?"
"Leave nothing for CPO-9?"
"...Okay, correction." Vegapunk nodded. "What did I tell you about newcomers YOUR age?"
There was an awkward silence as the boy tried to wrap his head around what the old man said as if struggling to remember what he was told.
"To let me see them first! Now, APOLOGIZE!" Vegapunk snapped, then winced. "Oh dear...not used to that."
Lilith and Pytahgras quickly went to aid the doctor, giving the tiny girl Atlas the time to bop riku ipside the head.
"Dingus!"
"Midget." Riku grumbled as he then looked at Izuku; a scrawny kid, but helping a girl with weird eyes…A VERY pretty girl.
Hibiki then shared eye contact with Riku and suddenly rose her hand up before declaring:
"Petra."
And suddenly, the aura around Riku vanished into Hibiki's hand, leaving the boy to collapse on the ground, his eyes never leaving Hibiki, who seemed torn between apoilogzing and reveling in the rush she suddenly felt.
"Yo, Riku?" Another voice called out. "Where you at?"
"Are there any punks for us to smash?"
In walked seven children, all with tanned skin, yellow eyes, and most notably; black angel-like wings on their backs.
"Ah, there you all are." Vegapunk beamed. "Rayliegh, Izuku, Hibiki. Come and meet my grandchildren; Makoto, Yaato, Chikara, Kohaku, Sumiko, Shun, and Kazuya."
While they all had the same skin, eyes, and wings, the seven each had their own unique features to differentiate themselves from each other.
Makoto had a rather childish appearance with messy blonde hair a rather toned build under his clothes and a dragon tattoo carved at the top of his left bicep, just below his shoulder.
Yaato was a bit taller than the others and had a slouched posture. His hair was short, spikey, and colored pale blue and he had thin black eyebrows. On the left side of his jaw and extending down to his neck, he had a large scar and a tattoo of a fox was carved on the left side of his waist.
Chikara looked like a young boy, even more childish in appearance than Makoto. He had a high forehead, thin eyebrows, and was carrying a spiral-marked pillow. A tattoo of a grizzly bear was marked just above his left ankle, on the outer side of his lower leg.
Kohaku was much taller than everyone else, almost akin to a Giant. However, she had a very cute and fair appearance. She had medium-length brown hair which was tied up into large twin tails. A tattoo of a snake was marked on her left outer thigh.
Sumiko looked the most childish out of everyone next to Chikara. She had black shoulder-length hair, three beauty marks below her right eye, and on the left side of her neck was a tattoo of a boar.
Shun had an androgynous appearance and magenta hair that reached just past his jaw. Over his eyes was a pair of light-framed glasses and on the right side of his chest was a tattoo of a goat.
Finally, Kazuya had a very scrawny appearance with a shy demeanor to him. he had short brown hair and a gentle smile on his face. On his back was a tattoo of a lion.
"Ah good. Riku alone messed up." Shun mused.
"Why would you say that like it's a good thing?" Chikara asked.
"Because looking at your scared and fat face is a punishment worse than death; you could've driven the poor girl blind again."
The floating boy gasped indignified and then shifted to into an older and fatter shape.
"First of all, I am what the cultured call 'THICC!' Secondly, that was hurtful. And thirdly, like you're any better, Mr. Zinger."
"The truth hurts."
"All right, knock it off!" Makoto snapped. "These are the first new faces in...weeks! Let's try and NOT traumatize 'em, eh? Especially not the cute one."
Hibiki blushed and then hid behind Izuku.
"Makoto! You're not going to flirt with the girl while I'm here, right?" Kohaku pouted.
"Why would I not? We're siblings. Don't make it weird."
Kohaku smiled...and then SLAMMED Makoto into the ground.
"JERK!" The girl said as she began to storm away.
"WOOHOO!" Riku, suddenly energized, cheered. "Thanks, Koh! Save me the trouble of pummeling the pev!"
"Now, now, Kohaku, Riku. Let's be nice and chat with these people, shall we? At least say hello." Sumiko mused as she floated toward Hibiki, enraptured by her eyes. "My, my, my... The legendary eyes of the Great Sage."
Kazuya pouted. "Sumiko-Chan, that is indecent."
"Oh, don't be such a baby, Kazuya." Sumiko giggled before offering her hand to Hibiki. "I'm Sumiko, that's Kazuya."
"N-Nice to meet you." Hibiki said shyly, accepting Sumiko's handshake.
"Those two bickering fools are Shun and Chikara. The giant is Kohaku, the guy who looks like he wants to steal your belongings is Yaato…"
"There ain't NOTHING I can't steal!" Yaato smirked, revealing a very famialr All Might action figure.
"Hey, that's mine!" Izuku reached desperately, his arm suddenly stretching, bursting into scaly flames before Yaato dropped the toy and Izuku then found himself gloweing yellow. Next thing he knew, his toiy was back in his hands.
"Interesting…." Chikara noted. "You must have eaten grandpa's Devil Fruit. Oh wait, we still got one more to introduce."
"….and the flattened one is Makoto." Sumiko finished.
"Not flattened!"
From the hole Kohaku had opunched backfluipped Makoto, looking right as rain.
"EEEH?!" Izuku and Hibari gasped. "B-B-BUT YOU WERE JUST FLATTENED LIKE A PANCAKE!"
"Nah, Koh likes me too much." Mamkoto beamed. "Oh yeah, we almost didn't see ya there!"
He then grabbed Izuku's now normal and free hand with both of his own, and began to shake to poor ghreen haired boy to the point eh was almost vibrating."
"Pleasure to meet ya! You all heard our names, band I think I heard someone call you…Izuku?"
"Yeeeeeeeeeeeesssss! Niiiiiiiiice toooooo meeeeeeeeeeeet yoouuuuu!" Izuku managed amid the crazy shaking.
"…He seems…unsure." Shun mused.
"He'd be fun to wrestle!" Yaato cheered.
"So many powers, no wonder he's unsure , Shun." Chikara smirked.
"At least he has a good head on his shoudlers." Kazuya mused.
Izuku smiled weakly, not used to all this praise but liking it all the same,
"Gotta say foc, not much resemblance between you and the kids." Rayliegh noted.
"And there is a reason for that. Have you ever heard of the Seven Deadly Sins?"
Izuku and Hibiki were silent.
"The legendary knights?"
More silence.
"The big names before King Arthur?"
Even more silence.
"OH, WHAT DO THEY TEACH YOU KIDS NOWADAYS?!" Vegapunk screamed, only to grimace in pain. "Whooo! By Oda, I am out of shape on this whole 'angry' thing."
"We're in preschool." Hibiki managed.
"Okay, long story short..." Vegapunk cleared his throat as he began to tell his tale.
"Better sit down, kids. This is a real doozy." Rayleigh smirked as Vegapunk started.
"Long, long ago, before noble knights and chivalry truly bloomed, the world was overwhelmed by demons and monsters. Eventually, a group made up of members from all the races was formed to bring some order to the chaos. And they succeded, eventually…although apparently they were all murderously cruel and violent. I say apparently because most of what we do know of them comes from….propaganda like messages. But anyways, thanks to that warmongering idiot, Judge Vimsmoke, I was able to aqyoire their Lineage Factor…"
"You mean DNA?" Izuku asked/
"….No." Vegapunk said, "I was able to clone them back…and I grew to love them as if they were my own."
"Awww, gramps…." Makoto, Yaato and Kohaku all cooed.
"And Riku-kun?" Hibiki asked, missing the boy blush and smile dumbly when she brought him up.
"The grandson of a dear and true friend who, like Izuku, ate something that held great power." Vegapunk recalled.
"IT LOOKED LIKE RAMEN AND I WAS HUNRGY, SUE M,E!" Riku snapped.
GROWL!
The kids all chuckeld weakly and Maetel and Dorthy then wheeled in trollies filled with food.
"It is Lunchtime, after all." Maetel smiled, getting the children to dig in.
At the same time
York had slipped away in the 'cute craze' and was preparing to make a call.
Unlike her fellow assistants, York was out for number one, IE herself. And this was the perfect chance to try and make a deal with the old men:
The right hand of Roger himself? 10 incredibly powerful and almost broken kids? Finally being free of Veagpunk and the others?
Hell, if she paid her cards right? She could become a Heavenly Dragon!
"I wouldn't do that if I were you."
York was brought out of her musings and froze and the sight of Shakky smoking a cigerrete as she walked on the broken bodies of several guards.
"I like those kids. And Ray, for all his faults, is mhy husband. And he likes them. So, you have a choice: Die right here and now when you try to call? Or live to see a new age and weigh your options. What's it going be?"
Not trusting herself to speak and deciding she liked living more than she was willimng to risk it all to be free, Yokr gulped and walked away.
"Good girl." Shakky patted her head. "Also? I was never bhere,"
York blinked and then, true to her word, Shakky was nowehere to be seen.
An hour later
With full belies and some laughs and stories shared, the kids became tired.
But before they hit the hay, Rayliegh made them an offer:
Starting the next day onwards, until he felt they were strong enough? The kids would train and study under a man who was called 'The Dark King' and strong enough to make nations stay away.
Why was he doing this?
"Well, I was going to train Izuku and Hibiki anyways…" Rayliegh said as he turned to the assembled group. "But I can already see some great comradery and potential in you all. But . I'll be honest, kids."
He made sure they were paying attention before he continued.
"If you can make it through this training, you can get through anything, but that means this will be HELL! You will be tired, broken, hungry, and constantly need to improve. You will emerge from my training at the level of Pro Heroes...but once we start there is no going back. Its' not too late; Vegapunk can radio for a pickup and send you home."
"Selkie is in the area!" Vegapunk noted.
Izuku and Hibiki looked at each other before nodding their heads and holding hands firmly together.
"Rayleigh-Sensei...we'll accept! We'll get super strong and find a way back home! Then we'll become the greatest Heroes ever!"
"And we'll help so you won't have to feel lonely!" Makoto and his siblings all smiled.
Rayleigh smiled as he turned to Vegapunk, who nodded his head in approval.
"These kids are something else, I tell ya. I have a good feeling about them."
Knightmare Lord A/N:
Mrotrax had to split this into two parts because crime is everywhere where he's from and it's hard for him to work. He's trying his best and that's all we can ask of him. All I can do is try to lighten the load for him any way I can.
Anyway, bet you weren't expecting us to have Seraphim versions of the Seven Deadly Sins here. I was originally suggesting one character with the powers of all seven of the characters but I figured separating them would be easier and it'll help expand Izuku's future Pirate Crew!
Mrotrax A/N:
And with that? The prologue is DONE!
HAPPY 2024!
