Part 2

Jessie's veins popped. James, Meowth and Ash panicked.

"Uh, Goh, you shouldn't have said that." Goh looked at Ash, confused.

"Said what?" He wanted to know. "Call her that 'no good annoying, old hag, red-haired lady from Team Rocket'? But Ash, she is that no good, annoying, old hag, red-haired lady from Team Rocket."

"I am NOT annoying!" Jessie argued. "You're annoying, especially with that annoying voice of yours." This time, Goh got mad.

"My voice is not annoying!"

"Well, I'm not an old hag. I'm not going to tell you my age, but I'm not an old hag. I'm not going to tell you anything, twerp."

"Stop calling me a twerp! It's not nice. I have a name you know, and it's…"

"Don't care. It's not nice to call beautiful people such as myself an old hag. At least I know what a phone booth is."

"Well, excuse me for being ten. Up to that point, I never even saw a phone booth in my life. Also, I don't care about your name then."

"I don't care about your name, twerp and your twerpy friend is the same age and he knows what a phone booth was I'm sure." Goh looked at Ash.

"She's right, Goh." Ash told him. "I did. I can't believe you never saw one until then though." Goh looked at him.

"Well, not everyone is educated like that, Ash." He then looked back at Jessie, changing the subject. "Oh, and also I wouldn't say that you are beautiful in any way, shape or form." Jessie looked like she was about to attack him, so James and Meowth had to hold her back.

"I had just about had enough of you!"

"Jess," Meowth said to her. "I know what the twerp said to you is unforgivable, but let's keep this story rated K+, 'kay? No need to get so dark. Don't kill him."

"Yeah." James added. "We may be bad, but we aren't going to let you murder a child. We don't do that." Meowth let her go when she calmed down. So did James. Meowth turned to the kids and changed the subject.

"What we do care about is making the boss happy." The cat spoke up. "So if you excuse us, we have to vamoose."

"Oh no you don't!" Ash piped up. "Not today, not ever!"

"Looks like we need to teach you twerps a lesson then." Jessie said.

"If you're talking about a battle," Meowth started with a frown. "We'll lose. You know we always do. It's predictable." Jessie glared at him.

"Shut up, Meowth! And no, we don't. If that Bewear back in Alola didn't ruin our plan, we would have stolen those Pokémon."

"We're still going to lose, you know." Meowth said. Jessie glared at him.

"No we're not." She told him. She then looked at Goh. "I'm going to teach you, twerp, to never call any beautiful lady an old hag again and to respect your elders!"

"Okay with me." Goh said.

"Then I'll battle James then." Ash said.

"Then I'll just watch, I guess." Chloe piped up. Goh looked at Ash.

"You know their names and not me?" He asked.

"Well, yeah." Ash answered. "I've been battling them like forever. Plus, they say their names in their stupid motto every time."

"Our motto is not stupid!" Meowth argued. "However, it gives us great pleasure knowing that you know our names, Ash." Ash smiled.

"Glad you know my name." He narrowed his eyes. "But you guys are still going to lose." Jessie shook her head.

"Not today we're not." She and James looked at the sky.

"COME ON DOWN!" They both said at the same time. Pelipper made its cry, and dropped the Rocket Prize Master machine from the air. It landed on the ground next to them.

"Finally!" Chloe said. "I thought that completely unnecessarily filler bickering was going to go on forever."

"Eevee." Her Pokémon agreed.

"What Pokémon will we get today?" Jessie asked. "We'll soon see. Oh, Meowth! You know what to do."

"Roger!" Meowth said. He jumped headfirst in the slot machine, making sure his charm fit. James turned the crank and two purple Pokéballs came out. Both Jessie and James grabbed the special Pokéballs. They threw them at the same time.

"GO!" They both said at the same time.

"My Pokémon is…" Jessie began. Out popped a Raichu.

"Raichu!" The Pokémon said. They were shocked, even Ash and friends.

"Raichu?" Meowth questioned. "You gotta be kidding me! Why does Team Rocket have a Raichu? It's the evolved form of Pikachu, and yet Boss still wants Pikachu? Am I missing something?! A Raichu should be way stronger than a Pikachu any day! Hang on, didn't James have a borrowed Raichu from that 'Jigglypuff seen from above' guy?"

"Quiet!" Jessie told him. "Remember, this is the same Pikachu we have been fighting for like, over two decades, and it's still a Pikachu. That must amount to something."

"Guess that's true." Ash smiled.

"I'm glad you see the value in Pikachu,…" He said. "…however you are still not going to steal him!" Jessie sneered.

"That's what you think, twerp! However, I'm not fighting you."

"Right." Goh stated. "You're fighting me. And I know the perfect Pokémon!" He took out his Pokéball from his pocket and threw it. "Go, Inteleon!" Inteleon popped out.

"Inteleon!" It spoke once out. Jessie smiled.

"Foolish twerp. You do know water is weak against electricity, right? I'll easily cream you." Goh smirked.

"I know, but seeing how we defeat you guys every time, I figure it won't matter."

"That is where you're wrong, twerp. I'll show you how wrong you are."

"I'm going to show how wrong you are! Are you ready, Inteleon?"

"Inteleon!" It said with a nod. "Inteleon, Snipe Shot!" Inteleon did Snipe Shot towards Raichu.

"Raichu, dodge it and use Thunder!" Jessie ordered.

"Raichu!" It spoke. It dodged Snipe Shot and used Thunder. It was a direct hit.

"Inteleon!" The Pokémon sighed and collapsed.

"Inteleon!" Goh screamed. Jessie laughed.

"Told you that I'll cream you! You shouldn't have used Inteleon at all. You must regret your decision now!"

"No way! I believe in my Inteleon and it believes in me."

"Whatever, twerp!" Goh looked at his fallen Pokémon.

"Come on, Inteleon; get up! I believe in you!" But Inteleon didn't get up. "Inteleon?" Jessie laughed again.

"You can't expect that to work every time, you know. What a waste!" Inteleon got up, making Goh happy.

"All right, Inteleon! You got up! I knew by believing, it would work!"

"Inteleon!" It cried. This shocked Jessie.

"But…how? It was a direct hit. It should have fainted." Goh smirked.

"Sorry!" He told her. "But I…"

"I know, you 'believed' in your Pokémon. Well, guess what? So do I! I believe in all my heart that Raichu can still win. Raichu, do another Thunder!" The electric rodent did as it was told.

"Inteleon, dodge and use Mud Shot!" Inteleon dodged it and did its Mud Shot, blinding Raichu.

"Rai, Rai!" It cried.

"Raichu, hurry up and shake it off!" Jessie commanded. Raichu frantically tried to shake the mud out of its face.

"While it does that, use Pound!" Inteleon got up close to Raichu and used its Pound. Raichu stumbled back.

"Get back up and use Thunder Shock!" Jessie ordered. Raichu got back on its feet and used Thundershock

"Dodge it and use Liquidation!" Inteleon dodged Thundershock and used Liquidation.

"Get out of the way, Raichu!" Raichu tried to get out of the way, but Liquidation was just too fast and hit Raichu. Raichu flew backwards and hit the ground.

"Get up and use Thunderbolt!"

"Quick, before it gets up, use your Water Gun!" Inteleon splayed a gush of water at the electric rodent. It hit Raichu and the Pokémon got soaked.

"It's just water! Use an Electro Ball!" Raichu shook itself off.

"Liquidation and Pound!" Inteleon did one last Liquidation. It hit Raichu. It did another Pound and Raichu fainted. Goh cheered.

"Yes! Way to go, Inteleon! You beat a Pokémon that would normally beat you. I knew you wouldn't let me down!"

"Inteleon!" Inteleon said.

"No fair!" Jessie complained. "Raichu should have defeated your Inteleon."

"I told you." Goh told her. "If you believe in your Pokémon and it believes in you, anything is possible."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever, twerp. Let's just see how your twerpy friend does against James." Goh smiled.

"I bet I know how it'll end." Jessie smirked.

"We'll soon see."

"And my Pokémon of the day is…" James began, throwing his Pokéball. Out popped a Galarian Mr. Mime. "Ah, a Galarian Mr. Mime! It reminds me of my Mime. Jr! Awe, good memories."

"Just because it's a Mr. Mime from this region," Ash said. "…doesn't make it really special. It's still Mr. Mime. Gengar, I choose you!" Ash called, throwing Gengar's Pokéball. The Ghost Pokémon popped out of its ball.

"Gengar!" Gengar cried.

"Alright!" James said. "Let's have some fun!"

"Sounds good to me!" Ash agreed.

"Mr. Mime, use Psybeam!" Mr. Mime did Psybeam.

"Gengar, Shadow Ball!" Gengar used its Shadow Ball. Both attacks made contact with their respective targets and they both went flying to the ground. `

"Mr. Mime, get up!"

"You too, Gengar!" Both Gengar and Mr. Mime got back up on their feet.

"Now, Mr. Mime, Confusion!" The mime Pokémon did just that. Gengar was now confused.

"Gengar!" Ash cried. James cheered.

"Now this will be a piece of cake! Alright, Mr. Mime, Sucker Punch!" Mr. Mime ran towards Gengar.

"Gengar, Night Shade!" Gengar did just that, but attacked itself instead. It stumbled to the ground. "No, Gengar!" James laughed. Mr. Mime made contact with Gengar and Gengar flew backwards towards the ground. James laughed again.

"Good job, Mr. Mime!" He congratulated the mime Pokémon. "And congrats for confusing it."

"Mime!" The Pokémon said proudly. James looked at Ash.

"What are you going to do now, twerp?" He asked."You're in quite a pickle, aren't you?" Ash sneered, then looked at Gengar who had got up.

"Gengar, Shadow Ball!" Ash ordered. Gengar did, but then attacked itself again. James laughed yet again.

"You can say whatever you want, twerp, but Gengar is still confused and just going to attack itself. It's so sad. I almost hate to let Gengar be attacked, but I must. Okay, Mr. Mime, use Psybeam!" Mr. Mime used Psybeam on Gengar. It made contact and Gengar fell.

"Gengar, get up and use Ice Punch!" Gengar got up.

"Not going to work, twerp!" James said. "This Mr. Mime is an ice type, so it won't do much." Gengar ran towards Mr. Mime. Ash grinned.

"Yeah, but it still hits!" Before Mr. Mime could react, Gengar punched him to the ground. James was shocked.

"But, how?!" He wanted to know. "Gengar is confused. I don't get it."

"True, Gengar is confused at the moment." Ash told him. "But Gengar can still attack at times, and that's a good thing." James smirked. Ash was confused.

"What is it?"

"Mr. Mime isn't frozen because it's an ice type." Ash smiled.

"I guess, but it can do some damage, and that's good enough for me." James smiled back.

"I guess it is, twerp." He then was determined. "But let's just focus on the battle."

"Sounds good to me. Gengar, Will-O-Wisp!" Gengar did Will-O-Wisp.

"Mr. Mime, Protect!" Mr. Mime protected itself from the attack.

"Ha! Thought you could burn Mr Mime, twerp? Well, think again because you were wrong!"

"I must admit that was a pretty good move."

"Thanks. Know what also is a good move? This! Zen Headbutt!" Mr. Mime charged at the Ghost Pokémon.

"Gengar, make the ground slippery with your Sludge Bomb!" Gengar did a Sludge Bomb on the ground, flying mud puddles everywhere. Mr. Mime stepped in one, and slipped. It fell to the ground. Ash cheered.

"Alright, Gengar!"

"Gengar!" It cheered as well.

"No fair!" James cried. "Why isn't it attacking itself anymore? It must surely still be confused."

"Don't know." Ash admitted. "But as long as Gengar lands its attacks, that's all I care about. Gengar, Shadow Ball again and hopefully it hits this time!"

"Mr. Mime; let's not risk it. Protect yourself!" The Pokémon did their attacks. But Mr. Mime's Protect failed, and Gengar landed a direct hit, and it went flying to the ground.

"How?! Why didn't Protect work?"

"Don't know, don't care! Finish it with another Night Shade!"

"Get up, Mr. Mime, and hurry!" But before Mr. Mime could get up, Night Shade hit and Mr. Mime fainted. James screamed. Ash and his Pokémon cheered. Unfortunately, Gengar was still confused, so it stumbled to the ground. Ash noticed this. "Whoa, I know you're happy Gengar, so am I. But take it easy!" Ash ran to it and helped it back to its feet. Gengar looked at its trainer and they both smiled. Ash took out its Pokéball.

"You deserve a nice long rest, Gengar. You won despite being confused. Return!" Ash returned Gengar to its Pokéball and put it away in his pocket.

"Did you defeat the blue-haired guy, Ash?" Goh wanted to know, returning Inteleon to its ball. Ash smiled at him.

"Sure did." This time, he smiled.

"Good. I defeated the no good, annoying, old hag, red-haired lady." This angered James.

"Her name is Jessie!" He said. "And I have a name too, you know, twerp. You know, I'm starting to think you are pretending to not know our names just to spite us."

"Just like how everybody botches Butch's name?" Meowth asked. James looked at him, puzzled.

"Butch? That's his name? Hmm, I swear his name was either Botch or Biff."

"Aha!"" Goh said. "So you do know my name, as well as Ash's. You guys just choose to call us 'twerps' just to get under our skins."

"I'm used to it." Ash said.

"Uh oh!" Meowth said with grave concern.

"What 'uh oh'?" Jessie wanted to know.

"That doesn't sound good." James observed. Both villains looked where the cat Pokémon was looking at. The Kangaskhan and Pikachu were all free from the net, shocking the two,

"How did they all get free?!" Jessie wanted to know. She looked madly at Meowth. "Meowth! You were supposed to keep a close eye on them and make sure this never happened! This is all your fault!" Meowth looked at her, mad.

"My fault?! You never told me to keep a close eye on them!"

"Well, you should have!"

"Even if I did keep a close eye on them, there's just so many of them. I'm only one Meowth. I can't stop all of them from doing their thing." One of the Kangaskan showed one of her claws at them. James saw this.

"They must have cut the nets with their sharp claws and teeth." He reasoned.

"Well, get them back inside of the net quickly…" Jessie began. They then all panicked as they saw Pikachu's sparks in his checks.

"Too late!" Meowth finished. The Kangaskan all prepared to do their attacks as well. The villainous trio all screamed. Ash took a determined step.

"Alright, Pikachu and Kangaskan," He said. "Pikachu, Thundershock and Kangaskan, do whatever attacks you guys were planning; let them have it!" Pikachu did his Thundershock on Team Rocket and all of the Kangaskan did their Outrage attacks. All of the attacks made contact. There was an explosion, and Jessie, James and Meowth, all went soaring in the air. Wobuffet popped out of its Pokéball.

"WOBBEFFET!" Wobuffet added.

"Wobbuffet!" Jessie argued with it. "Did you just pop out of your ball just to blast off with us?"

"Wobbeffet!" The blue Pokémon answered.

"I'll take that as a yes." Meowth stated.

"Awe!" James put in. "I don't know if this is a touching moment or not."

"LOOKS LIKE TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Meowth, Jessie and James all screamed together at the same time. The heroes and Pokémon all down below all cheered. Ash looked at Pikachu.

"Hey, Pikachu?" He questioned. Pikachu looked at him. "It's getting late. I think it's time to say goodbye, don't you think?" Pikachu and his longtime Kangaskan friend looked at each other.

"Don't put pressure on him." Chloe told Ash. "He can stay the night maybe."

"Yeah." Goh added. "Something tells me that they haven't seen each other in a long time. If it was me, I never want to leave. Maybe you can come back for Pikachu tomorrow?" Ash looked at Pikachu again.

"What do you say, Pikachu?" He wanted to know. "Want to stay the night, and I'll pick you up in the morning?" Pikachu looked back at Kangaskhan.

"If you want." Kangaskan told him.

"I'll stay." Pikachu answered. He looked back at his trainer. "Pikachu!" Ash stood up and nodded, confusing both Goh and Chloe.

"Then that settles it. I will be back tomorrow to pick you up."

"Yay!" The baby Kangaskan cheered. "Sleepover!"

"How did you know what Pikachu said?" Chloe asked.

"I just know." Ash told her. "That's how much of a bond we have." Chloe was surprised.

"Really? Is that really possible?" Goh shrugged.

"If Ash says it's possible," he began. "I believe him. If Team Rocket's Meowth can talk, anything goes, I say."

"I guess. Say, how can Team Rocket have a talking Meowth that walks on two legs instead of four?"

"It's a mystery. We may never know."

"I can't even tell you that." Ash piped up. He looked at Kangaskhan.

"Take good care of Pikachu for me, okay?" Kangaskan nodded. Ash bent down to Pikachu.

"Goodbye, Pikachu. I'll see you."

"Pikachu!" The mouse Pokémon replied. He stood up.

Chloe, Eevee, and Goh said their goodbyes and they left. Grookey stayed behind without Goh's knowledge.

"Say, Goh?" Chlole asked him as they were waiting at the bus stop. "Where's Grookey?" Goh looked all around and panicked. He then frowned.

"It must have stayed behind." He said.

"You go get him." Ash said. "But, hurry, the bus will be here any minute."

"Right." And so, he went back.

Grookey and the baby Kangaskan was playing with each other when Goh called it. Grookey stopped hitting his stick on the ground and looked up at him. The baby Kangaskan looked at Goh too.

"Grookey!" Goh cried. "Come back here! The bus is going to leave soon!" Grookey ignored him and whacked his stick on the ground again. "Now, Grookey!" Grookey and the baby Kangaskan bid farewell to each other, and the grass monkey ran towards its trainer. Goh bent down to pick up his Pokémon. "Sorry to take you from your new friend, but you really have to stop doing this. I didn't say you could stay too." And with that, he took off again. Kangaskan called for her baby and her baby ran to her.

"WAIT!" Goh cried as he saw the bus leaving, "WAIT FOR ME AND GROOKEY! WE'RE COMING!"

"Grookey!" Grookey called. The bus stopped. Goh ran up the steps. He bowed to the bus driver who didn't look pleased,

"Thanks for stopping for me." He thanked him. "Sorry for being late."

"Goh, you're late." Ash told him when he sat next to him with a relieved sigh. "We tried to tell the bus driver to wait, but he didn't want to be late. You have to be punctual and responsible. Remember, the early Pideo…"

"Yeah, yeah!" Goh said. "I know. I'm just glad I made it."

The next morning, Ash took the bus to pick up Pikachu. Pikachu ran up to him with all of the Kangaskhan watching. Ash and Pikachu bid farewell. The Kangaskan did too. Ash and Pikachu both left.

"Did you have fun, Pikachu?" Ash wanted to know.

"Pikachu!" He replied. Ash smiled.

"Good. I'm glad."

Pikachu sure did have fun reconnecting with Kangaskan again after so long. The electric rodent was shocked that Ash asked if he wanted to stay the night. He was hesitant at first, but so glad he did in the end, Ash would always be his friend, but Kangaskan will also always be his friend.
