Hellhound fever? That is definitely something unexpected to happen. But, according to Lisa's machine from Lincoln's DNA, the results are correct of what kind of disease or condition her big brother has right now. Even Loona was surprised to hear the kind of condition her new friend had. "Wait wait wait," said Loona. "Hellhound fever? That's not right. Only hellhounds can get hellhound fever."

"It's what it says on my machine." said Lisa. "This is science, and science never lies."

Lincoln knew this was so much for him to take in and didn't know what to think, then decided to panic, for he didn't know if this was lethal for humans. "Ah! It can't be! This can't be! Tell me it's not deadly! Tell me it's not deadly!" he then began rocking back and forth as he was freaking out like he had mass hysteria. "This can't be happening, it's gotta be a regular cold! Yeah! Just a regular cold!"

"Lincoln," Loona tried calming him down by gripping, "Lincoln, Lincoln! Calm down."

The kid took a few deep breaths.

"Just breathe." said Vortex. "Hellhound fever is not a deadly disease."

Taking more deep breaths, Lincoln said: "It's not dangerous."

"No." said Loona. "Just relax, calm down." she tried to sound as soft as possible to him. "Hellhound is like a regular cold for hellhounds and there have been no deaths from this condition." Lincoln took a few more deep breaths and closed his eyes while his heart was still pounding.

"Even if i'm a human? How did i get it if it only gets in hellhounds?"

"I... have no idea." Loona admitted. "I'm just as shocked as you are."

"But he's a human." said Lynn. "We don't know how it will affect him."

"Will you shut up?" said Loona.

"Loona, calm down." Tex said.

The female hellhound took a breath and said: "Sorry."

"No, you're right. Lynn's not helping, dude." Luna said. She looked at her brother again. "It's ok, Linc. you'll be fine. But... yeah, how did you get it?" Everyone began to wonder.

"Wait, did you bite him?" Rita accused the female hellhound.

"What?!" Loona exclaimed in disbelief. She sounded very offended. "No! I didn't bite him! What kind of reason would I have for biting him?"

"Because you have bad attitude problems!" said Lori. "You insulted us a couple of times, and you literally sound unpredictable!"

Loona got angry at her and said: "You watch what you say or i will use my teeth to rip out each of your-"

"Stop!" Lynn Sr said. "Please. Arguing solves nothing. Lincoln's confused enough as it is." Indeed, Lincoln was confused and scared of getting a disease that came all the way from Hell. How long would this sickness last? Is it a stable one that a human can handle? The biggest question was: how did he get this hellish sickness? Alas, the question was unanswered, and no one knows the cause of this event right now.

Lincoln can just hope that he can survive this and pray for a miracle to happen, such as him recovering from this weird condition he was having. "Look, i didn't bite him." said Loona. "If i did, you would know, and he would be in pain, because when a hellhound bites a human, it stings like a bunch of white-hot knives stabbing you. And Lincoln is not in great pain, right?" she looked at him

"Right."

"There you have it." said Vortex. "He'll be just fine. And Loona's right, Hellhound fever is like a regular cold or flu, but for hellhounds." While this was so much for everyone to take in, they decided to just be contempt with this.

"Lisa," said Leni, "is there a cure for Hellhound fever?"

"Hmm... let me have a look." the prodigy did just that on her machine, and was searching for results. "Uh-oh. It says there is no known cure. But, like our two furry friends mentioned, it does say that Hellhound fever is like a regular cold that should not be anything to worry about." Everyone felt the greatest relief to hear thar kind of result. "Just continue resting for now and you will be just fine, Lincoln.

"Ok. Thanks for checking on me guys." Lincoln said.

"And I forgot to give you the CD from yesterday before going to Burpin' Burger." Loona remembered. "here you go, buddy." the CD Lincoln looked at was entitled: "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?" on it by one of the greatest bands of all time, Megadeth.

"Oooh yeah!" Luna exclaimed with devil horns showing on her hands. "That's a good one. I love your way of thinking, Loona." she looked at the female hellhound. So everyone got out of the room and let Lincoln have his privacy by listening to this timeless thrash metal album. As hours passed, he was given some noodles with Swedish meatballs and roux mixed in it, and it tasted so good.

Of course, Lincoln got some more chicken noodle soup an hour later to help out with this unworldly cold. Another thing he did to try and make himself feel better was take a nice, warm shower to clear up the sinuses congesting him. Yes, warm water was another nice way to help out with a cold or a similar sickness.

It did clear his sinuses a little but but not completely, for he knows that a fever wouldn't go away in less than a day, especially hellhound fever.

The next morning had passed, and when Lincoln awoken, he was feeling a shit ton better than yesterday. He didn't feel nasally congested or he didn't feel any coughing about to spew from his mouth.

He yawned and sniffed, realizing his nose didn't feel stuffy anymore. It felt so good that he can smell things again and he yawned as he was getting up. Lincoln couldn't wait to tell the good news to everyone and he went in the shower to get himself clean.

drying himself off, he couldn't help but notice something was a little off about him, despite not feeling like shit anymore.

he looked at his hands and they looked a little furry with claws. Then he looked at his tail and- wait, his tail? Yes he had a white bushy tail on top of his ass, then he looked at the mirror to see the kind of problem he was having. He had a dog-like fade with red eyes, something similar to Loona and Vortex had.

At first, Lincoln thought he was having some weird fever dream from being sick, but then, when he rubbed them a third time, he realized he wasn't hallucinating at all. This was all too real and no dream.

covered with white fur all over his body, and his ears changed from normal human ears, to floppy dog ears like a Great Pyrenees or a retriever would have. The boy let out the longest scream he can ever create from his wind pipe. It was so loud he woke everyone in the house up, and he began panicking.

"This can't be happening!" Lincoln kept saying to himself all over again. "This can't be happening! This can't be happening!"

He then heard a knock on the door, "Lincoln, you ok in there?" It was the rocker girls' voice from the other side of the door.

"Don't come in here!" Lincoln said. "I'm a monster.

"What?" Luna said in disbelief. "A monster?"

"what is he ding-dang talking about?" said Lynn.

"Are you dying?" Lucy couldn't help but ask.

"No!" Said Lincoln in an exasperated voice, "I'm not dying!"

"Then what's wrong?" Said Luna.

"I can't tell you. It's complicated." Lincoln,

"We're going in there." said Lana

"No wait!" Lincoln wanted, but it fell on deaf ears. The sisters barged through the bathroom door and they saw that Lincoln was nowhere to be seen.

"Lincoln?" said Leni. "Where are you?"

"Go away." Lincoln said, and it was revealed that he was hiding in the bathtub with the curtains closed. "I'm a freak. A hideous freak?"

"What is going on?" said Luan.

The kid didn't answer and Luna removed the curtains to reveal what Lincoln had become. She and the other sisters gasped to see this kind of transformation happen to him. "Whoa!" said Luna. "Look at you. You're... different." Sighing in defeat, Lincoln slowly got out of the shower. "You don't look hideous. You look... very cool actually." Luna smiled.

"Yeah, you look like a werewolf of some kind." Lucy smiled. "A very beautiful transformation."

"Actually... i think i'm a hellhound." Lincoln remarked.

"Looks at you." said Leni. "You're so cute, and so fluffy." she couldn't help but rub Lincoln's now furry back. "Ooh, you're so soft."

Lola was the next one to do it, and she gasped: "You are as soft as a furry blanket, Lincoln. I could use you as my teddy bear." then she hugged him. "So fluffy, so cute, so alive."

"Guys, cut it out!" Lincoln said. "I'm glad you guys don't think i'm a monster, but i don't know if it's permanent or it's-" he was cut short when Lily hugged his left leg.

"Doggy Lincoln!" Lily exclaimed.

"You must have undergone this transformation while you were in your eight hour slumber." said Lisa. "Was it painful?"

"No, it didn't hurt." Lincoln admitted. "But it did feel my body tingling as I was sleeping overnight."

"I wonder what everyone in school will think." said Lana

"What?!" Lincoln said. "Are you crazy!? Do you know what would happen if people saw me as a Hellhound? The government would probably test me through experiments! I cannot let that happen."

"I am afraid he is right." said Lana. "It is best to refrain him from the outside world until I can figure out a cure for this. And this is quite remarkable. I have discovered what happens to humans when they have hellhound fever."

"Too bad you can't get a Nobel prize for it." said Lola in a sing-song voice.

"Grr, indeed. It would have made me big bucks." Lisa said in a begrudging way.

"What is going on in here?" Said Rita. When she and her husband entered the room, they were just as surprised to see Lincoln turned into a hellhound. "My baby!" Rita exclaimed. "What happened to you?"

"Calm down." Said Lincoln. "I'm not hurt, mom."

"Are you a werewolf?" Asked Lynn Sr

"No, I'm a hellhound." Lincoln said. "I guess I turned into one overnight."

"Was it because of Hellhound fever?" Asked his father.

"I guess so." Lincoln said. "But I can't be seen by the public like this. I might get probed by feds."

"You're right." Said Rita. "Lisa, you can find a cure for your brother, can you?"

"I will most certainly do my best to search for one." The parents sighed in relief to hear that. But Lincoln just went back to his room and tried to think things over.

"So how do you feel now?" Asked Luna

"honestly, I don't really feel sick anymore, besides turning into a hellhound obviously. No cough, no sore throat, nothing else. Just a change."

"Well you do look very cool, little bro." said Luna. "Like a wolf or a fierce dog."

"A white wolf." Said Luan."

"Do you think if you hit me in that form," Lucy had an idea. "Do you think I will turn into one too?"

"No Lucy, don't even think about it." Said Lynn Sr.

"Groan." Said Lucy

"Keep dreaming, Luce." Said Lynn, "keep dreaming."

The sisters all got ready for school and Lana couldn't help but say; "still wish I was in your shoes Lincoln, or paws. I don't wanna go to school today." Nevertheless, she prepared herself for a line anyway for the bathroom.

As the girls went to school again, Lincoln felt like he had the house all to himself since he wasn't really sick anymore. He turned on the TV, and closed the blinds so that no one outside would be able to see him in my his hellhound form.

"Now make sure you stay inside the house, honey." Said Rita about to go out the front door.

"I'll be fine, mom."

"unless you are hanging out with Loona in Hell of course."

"I know. I can probably go down there no problem like this. Wait," he got on all fours and scratched behind his left ear with his left leg like a dog would scratch behind his ears. "Have a good day, mom."

"you too, honey." Rita went out the front door, heading off to work.

Lincoln decided to do one of his favorite activities: reading comic books in his underwear, and he caught the smell of leftover noodles with meatballs from before. So he asked his father if he could have some, which he said yes.

When Lincoln got the plate of noodles and meatballs, he ate it in just a few seconds, for he was eating it in a beastly manner. The kid must have been really hungry if he ate all the food down by just scarfing it all down his throat.

Using the bathroom, Lincoln heard a knock on the door. "Lincoln?" It was the female hellhound coming to visit him. "You in there?"

"Yeah Loona!" The boy called out. "I'm coming out."

"you feeling better?"

"Well... yes and no."

"What do you mean?" Loona sounded confused.

"Well I don't feel sick but Hellhound fever did something to me."

"like what?" The female hellhound still looked confused.

Lincoln sighed and slowly opened the door. Loona, with Vortex with her, was so shocked and surprised to see Lincoln as a hellhound.

"Whoa!" She exclaimed.

"Yeah wow." Tex agreed.

"Wait, you turned into a hellhound?"

"Yeah, Lisa said that hellhound fever did this to me. But she will find a cure."

"This is so cool." Said Tex. "Look at you, kid. You look awesome as a hellhound."

"look at your fur." Said Loona. "It's like you've been."

"reborn?"

"Well morphed, but that works too." Loona smirked. "But you don't feel hurt, do you?"

"No, just physically changed." Lincoln remarked.

"But what would Blitzo, Moxxie, and Millie think of me as a hellhound? Or what about Octavia? And I don't know if it's a permanent thing on me or not."

"Don't worry." Loona said. "Blitzo lives with a hellhound." She pointed at herself.

"Right. But Stella might call me a mutt if she saw me like this."

"Pfft, well you shouldn't give a fuck what she thinks." Loona scoffed.

"Yeah, people like her are so conceited." Said Vortex with disdain.

"You don't have to say that twice, Vortex.
