Stella could hardly believe her eyes. This cake was... perfection in every sense of the word. The bird-like woman was silent for a rather long time, for she was feeling like in heaven where everything was just made of this cake and the sky would rain edible gold flakes.
A look of rather foolish happiness appeared in Stella's face that it made her look silly. Even Stolas couldn't help but take a picture of her silly face to possibly humiliate her.
"This is... amazing." Stella finally said. "I never their that the most disastrous of Goetia dessert recipes would be cooked to perfection." She smiled at the cake and took another bite, loving every bit of the texture and taste. Clyde smiled with hope and knew that he had made his friendship between him and Octavia safe. "André," she said to her brother, "you must simply try this. Hmm? I swear to Satan, it is so fucking tasty."
"Don't mind if I do." Said Andrealphus, pulling a small dessert fork to try this baked cake. When he managed to take a bite of the chunk he took from the fork and let out a happy case sound that a peacock would sound like, except it was a deeper kind of peacock sound. "Oh my Satan." He breathed. "This is so delicious."
"I knew you would love it." Clyde said.
"Well," said Stella. "I have to admit, my dear Clyde, you have really outdone yourself in making the most difficult Goetia dessert dish to have ever existed."
Clyde gave her a bigger smile on his face. "So that means me and Octavia can still be friends? And you won't keep me away from her?"
"Of course not." Stella sounded rude again. "Not even if someone would pay me millions of dollars."
Then Clyde's smile immediately turned upside down like a rainbow that got back in shape. "What? I made you the cake." He protested. "Why won't you let me hang o it with your daughter?"
"Because," said Stella. "You don't seem worthy of spending some friend time with Octavia."
At this, Stolas began to fume with anger. "You promised him that you would let him hang with Via if he succeeded you stupid c- witch!"
"Promise?" Stella said before laughing. "It was supposed to be a wild goose chase. Though... I didn't really think he would pull this off."
"You are forgetting one of the most important things about being a Goetia, Stella." Stolas narrowed his eyes at her bitterly. "Never break a promise, no matter the task or what exactly to promise."
"Look Clyde is-" before Stella could protest even further, she was interrupted by her own brother.
"Stella," said Andrealphus in a stern voice, "you did make a promise to Clyde, and what kind of a Goetia would be if you break it? Stolas is right."
"I never thought we would agree on something for once." Stolas admitted.
"don't get used to it." The icy Goetia bitterly said.
Clyde gave Stella the puppy eyes to her, one of the best "please" faces he can ever pull off. "Oh, not the puppy eyes." Stella complained. She let out a small groan, and said: "Very well. I'll let you and Octavia's friendship stand."
"Yes!" Clyde exclaimed in pure joy.
Stolas and Andrealphus smiled as well. "Look, I am sorry about my dear sister." Said Andrealphus, "she can be a little... irrational. After all, I know how hard you worked on this dish."
"I did, your highness. It took me hours to try and get this right."
"Well you did it, Clyde." Andrealphus smiled. "You did what many chefs down here in Hell could not. So I give you my congratulations. So... can I have a slice of this cake?"
"Of course." The boy said in delight. "The more the merrier."
"Excellent!" The icy demon clapped his hands like he was at a gold tournament and pulled out his own fork, eating a bite of the cake himself. "Hmmm, delicieux." He said.
"me next!" Said Stolas. Before grabbing a slice for himself.
"This is mine!" Said Stella
"I don't see your name on it." Stolas teased.
Stella just seethed in angry, crunching her teeth in her mouth so hard that they were starting to hurt, and she didn't even care about the fucking pain.
"Can you two just not be at each other's throats for once?" Andrealphus had to intervene between his relatives. "If you are going to have one of your usual squabbles, then take it outside."
Both Stolas and Stella were silent for a period of time, but then the Goetia prince said: "look, Stella, I think that you have overstated your welcome here. Now just take your cake you desperately wanted and leave."
Making another small growl, Stella just said: "very well." She grabbed the cake and was about to walk out when Stolas stopped her by clearing his throat. "What?!" She snapped.
"Don't you have anything to say to this amazing chef?" He pointed to Clyde, who had an eager face, awaiting praise from Stella from the hard work he endured to make this difficult dessert.
Letting out a sigh, Stella said: "thank you for making le Gâteau a la Goetia, Clyde."
"you're very welcome, milady!" Clyde replied. "I hope you will enjoy the cake I made you."
"Yes, yes, I guarantee you that I will." Stella sang. "And you can still be friends with Octavia."
"And I still need my slice." Stolas sang.
Making another bitter growl, Stella reluctantly cut a piece of the cake for Stolas for him to enjoy. "Here, choke on it."
"Thank you very much."
"Look, we will take our leave now." Andrealphus. "Come along, sister dear, before you have another tantrum or a nervous breakdown." Looking at the young chef, he added, "good work as always, Clyde."
"Thank you, sir."
as both the siblings walked out the door, Stolas looked at his friend. "I'm terribly sorry about my ex, Clyde. She can be quite a b-I-t-c-h.
"I heard that!" Stella called out from outside the castle.
"It's ok, Stolas. I'm just glad me and Octavia are friends again." Clyde said. Speaking of friends; Lincoln was coming inside the castle with Loona and Verosika, and Katie.
"Hey Clyde." Lincoln said. "I've been looking for you."
"Lincoln." His best friend sounded happy to see him as always. "And, this is... Verosika Mayday?"
"How did you know, sweetie?" Verosika smirked
"Well, I seen you. You really are a Succubus."
"That isn't a problem, is it honey?" Asked the pop star
"No! Of course not." Said Clyde. "As long as you don't suck the life out of me."
Both Katie and her sister laughed at this. "We're succubi." Said Katie, "not vampires."
"And you must be Clyde, right?"
"Hmm-mm."
"Clyde just made one of the greatest creations ever." Stolas said
"Ooh, what's that?" Asked Lincoln curiously
"He created le Gâteau a la Goetia."
"The what?"
"A recipe that is the most difficult to create." Clyde pointed. "But I managed to create it with my own hands"
"Try a bite of it."
Lincoln, Loona, Verosika, and Katie walked up to the cake on the table and took a bite of it, making them look in awe at the taste and texture like Stella did before. "Oh my Satan." Said Katie. "This is delicious."
"I wish that there was a second piece." Verosika added.
"Aww, you shouldn't have." Clyde flustered.
"So you're Clyde." Said Verosika, walking up to him. "Lincoln told me about you. How you boys have been best friends forever." Then she got a closer look at him. "You're more adorable up close."
"How come you don't have a girlfriend?" Asked Katie.
"I... don't know." Clyde admitted.
"Well, we came to invite you to take a dip in Katie's cauldron hot tub, Clyde." Said Loona. "You wanna come or whatever?"
"Sure!" Clyde said. "But can Octavia come with us?" He haven't forgotten about his friend.
"The more the merrier." Katie smiled.
"Make sure she stays safe and careful, Clyde." Said Stolas.
"I will." Clyde said.
