Chapter 75
Loki lounges next to Everleigh both dressed in Sakaarian garb. The two of them chattering back and forth with the people that were there with them.
The Grandmaster and Thor arrived in the room where there was music being played on strange instruments.
The Grandmaster joined them before beginning to play a strange piano-like contraption, riffing a melody over the existing music. "My name is Grandmaster. I preside over a little harlequinade called the Contest of Champions. People come from far and wide to unwillingly participate in it. And you, my friend, might just be part of the new cast. What do you say to that?"
"We're not friends, and I don't give a shit about your games! I'm going back to Asgard!" Thor said in a booming voice.
"Ass-gard?" The Grandmaster said rather amused. "One, two, three, four." He then really got into his playing.
The Grandmaster's guards and the VIP guests started moving to the music.
Thor took a moment to look around the bizarre spectacle unfolding around him. In doing so, he zeroed in on one particular group of VIPS. It was Loki and Everleight, both lounging dressed in Sakaarian garb. He was rather surprised that the both of them were alive and well from when Hela had attacked and knocked them both from the bi-frost.
"There was a wormhole in space and time beneath me. At that moment, I let go." Loki said as he wrapped his arm around Everleigh's body keeping her close to him.
"Loki!? Loki! Over here!"
Loki looked up noticing Thor, blanching a little bit. He slid a little closer to Thor to speak with him without looking like he was speaking to Thor. "Excuse me one second."
"Loki!"
Loki hustled over to his brother, shushing him. "What? You're alive?"
"Yes, of course, I'm alive."
"What are you doing here?"
"What do you mean, what am I doing? I'm stuck in this stupid chair. Where's your chair?"
Everleigh came over to Loki who wrapped his arm around her.
"I didn't get a chair."
"Get me out of this one."
"He can't." Everleigh said softly looking at Thor knowing that this would probably most likely make him fairly angry.
"What?"
Loki took a breath trying to not look irritated. "I've made friends with this man. He's called the Grandmaster."
"Oh, he's crazy!"
"I've gained his favor.. The Bi-Frost brought me out here weeks ago with Everleigh."
"Weeks ago? I just got here."
Suddenly the Grandmaster appeared right next to them.
Everleigh's hand tightened on Loki's arm that was around her.
"What are you whispering about?"
Both Thor and Loki reacted, both startled to see the grandmaster right next to them.
"Time works real different around these parts. On any other world, I'd be like, millions of years old. But here on Sakaar…" The grandmaster beheld himself before turning to Loki where there was an uncomfortable silence. "In any case, you know this... You call yourself Lord of Thunder?"
"God of Thunder. Tell him." Thor pleaded with his brother to say something to get him out of the predicament that he was currently in.
"I've never met this man in my life." Loki lied knowing that this wasn't going to end well if Thor didn't keep his mouth shut.
"He's my brother."
"Adopted."
"Is he any kind of a fighter?"
Loki shrugged his shoulders giving the universal gesture for so-so.
"You take this thing out of my neck and I'll show you."
"Now listen to that. He's threatening me. Hey, Sparkles, here's the deal. If you wanna get back to Ass-place, Assberg…"
"Asgard."
"Any contender who defeats my champion, their freedom they shall win."
"Fine. Then point me in the direction of whoever's ass I have to kick."
"That's what I call, a contender! Direction would be this way, Lord."
"Loki!"
The guards arrived hauling Thor up and escorted him out of the room.
Everleigh let out a breath as she looked over to Loki. "You know he won't forgive you for this."
Loki's lips quirked a bit as he looked over to Everleigh. "Well, darling, he'll forgive me at some point. We can't be out of favor with the Grandmaster."
"Do we really have to still be in favor of the man that keeps looking at me like he wants to steal me away and make me his?" Everleigh questioned as she felt Loki's hold on her tighten. She blinked a few times and slowly looked up at him. She saw the bitter and sour look that was on his face. "Loki?" She questioned softly, her brows furrowed together slightly in concern.
"I promise that nothing will happen to you." He pointed out softly slowly loosening his hold on Everleigh knowing that he probably was hurting her. That was the last thing that he wanted to do to her.
Everleigh took a breath through her nose knowing that Loki was trying his best to calm himself. "Loki… I know that you will protect me. I know you won't let anything bad happen to me."
Loki carefully offered his arm to her knowing that this was going to not be easy in any sort of way. "Come." He said softly.
Everleigh nodded her head slowly walking with Loki knowing that whatever would happen with Thor wasn't going to be easy on anyone. She knew that Thor was going to continue on fighting to try and get out of the hands of the Grand Master. "Why did you tell the GrandMaster that Thor was a so-so fighter?"
"Because the oaf is a so-so fighter. I've seen better warriors than him."
Everleigh shook her head lightly. "You and your brother are just so freaking stubborn."

This is the end of Chapter 75. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. It took me a bit of time to write this one since I wrote chapter 74 a while ago but it was waiting for it to be posted. But I have to admit I think that I did alright with this chapter. Please leave a review and let me know your thoughts on this chapter and let me know what you think of Loki and Everleigh's relationship. I have to admit that I'm fairly excited to write the last bit of Thor Ragnarok and move onto the next part of the story which is, I believe, Infinity War. I've already planned out what will happen during Infinity War. Do you think Everleigh will survive the snap? I will update next Monday. Until next time.
