Chapter 81
Everleigh stood with Thor and Loki as Loki entered the codes to a door's security panel.
Thor's eyes slid over to his brother. "Hey, so listen, we should talk."
Loki shook his head, clicking his tongue against his teeth. "I disagree. Open communication was never our family's forte."
"You have no idea. I've had quite the revelation since we spoke last."
The door slid open revealing a bunch of guards.
Thor and Loki hefted their Sakaarian guns.
Everleigh's hands glowed blue knowing that this was probably the only thing she could do since she opted out of having a Sakaarian gun.
"Hello!" Thor said his lips quirking.
"Hi!" Loki said as the two brothers began to blast all the guards with the help of Everleigh flinging them around with her magic as they moved towards another door. "Odin brought us together, it's almost poetic that his death should split us apart. We might as well be strangers now. "Two sons of the crown" set adrift."
A guard tried to ambush Loki through the door, but Thor took the guard out.
"Thought you didn't want to talk about it?"
Everleigh looked at the two men. "Come on boys, we have work to do." She said as she pushed the button for the elevator for them to go to where the aircrafts would be hidden from prying eyes.
Thor pushed the button for the floor that they needed to get to.
"Here's the thing. I'm probably better off staying here on Sakaar." Loki said as he waited as the elevator went up.
"That's exactly what I was thinking." Thor said not even looking at Loki.
"Did you just agree with me?" Loki questioned turning to look at his brother.
"This place is perfect for you. It's savage, chaotic, lawless. Brother, you're going to do GREAT here."
"Do you truly think so little of me?"
Thor thought for a moment thinking of what Loki had said. "Loki, I thought the world of you. I thought we were gonna fight side by side forever. But, at the end of the day, you're you, I'm me… I don't know, maybe there's still good in you, but let's be honest, our paths diverged a long time ago."
Loki looked away feeling wounded by Thor's willingness to discard him. He quickly masked his feelings. "It's probably for the best that we never see one another again."
Thor patted Loki affectionately on the shoulder. "That's what you always wanted. Hey, let's do "Get Help.""
"What?" Loki questioned his brows pinching together in confusion.
""Get Help.""
Everleigh's brow raised. "Get help?"
"No." Loki said firmly.
"Come on, you love it."
"I hate it."
"It's great. IT works every time."
"It's humiliating."
"Do you have a better plan?"
"No."
"We're doing it."
"We are not doing "Get Help.""
Everleigh let out a breath shaking her head. "Are you two done fighting? We're almost to our stop and we need a plan. If you two can't come up with a proper plan I guess I'll exhaust myself even more with my powers."
Loki looked over at Everleigh. "Now darling, you won't be good to us exhausted."
Everleigh waved her hand not having much of a concern for herself. She had fought alongside her team against him and exhausted herself and she did fine, and she even fought with her team against Ultron and exhausted herself to the point that she had passed out on one of the ships taking them to the helicarriers.
The elevator doors opened.
Thor supported Loki's weight with Loki faking a fatal injury. "Get help! Please! My brother, he's dying."
A small group of Sakaarian guards turned towards Loki and Thor not even seeing Everleigh due to her vanishing.
One of the guards aimed his gun at them.
"Get help! Help him!" Thor picked up Loki and flung him at the guards, knocking them down like bowling pins.
Loki stood up as Thor came to his side.
Thor grinned. "Classic."
"I still hate it. It's humiliating." Loki said as his face soured.
Everleigh appeared from her invisibility.
"Not for me, it's not. Which one's the ship she told us to get?"
"The Commodore." Loki said, pointing to the starship that was brand new, solidly built and sleek. Loki lagged behind as an illusion of himself walked with Thor. "Though I feel it won't make much of a difference…"
The real Loki grabbed Everleigh's arm slinking away towards the security panel bringing up a screen that would set off the alarms.
"Oh, Loki."
Loki closed his eyes and then turned to see Thor standing behind him not looking surprised at all. "I know I've betrayed you many times before, but this time it's truly nothing personal. The reward for your capture will set me up nicely." He said as he triggered the alarm.
"Never one for sentiment, were you?"
"Easier to let it burn." Loki then noticed Thor holding up a fob device. Loki realized that it was an obedience disk that Thor had stuck on him during their little heart-to-heart moment.
"I agree." Thor zapped Loki and held it down to keep the power zipping through his younger brother
Loki hit the ground hard, writhing in pain.
Thor approached his brother. "Oh brother, you're becoming predictable. I trust you, you betray me. Round and round in circles we go."
Everleigh bit her lip as Thor looked like he was thinking as his brother was convulsing in agony on the floor.
Thor kneeled down. "See, Loki, life is about, it's about growth. It's about change. But you seem to just wanna stay the same. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you'll always be the God of Mischief, but you could be more. I'll just put this over here for you." Thor then placed the fob on top of the security panel so close but too far from Loki's paralyzed reach. "Anyway, I got places to be so good luck." Thor said walking away from where his brother was.
Everleigh shook her head and used her magic and moved the fob closer to him where he could reach it. She leaned down quickly kissing his cool cheek before she rushed away from him following Thor quickly. She knew that Loki wouldn't take this the wrong way. She wanted to get home as quickly as she could to be back on earth and not gallivanting all over the place from planet to planet.

This is the end of Chapter 81. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I tried my best to write this chapter. We see that Everleigh kissed Loki on the cheek which is something different than what she normally does with him. I don't think we've even had a proper kiss between the two of them? Please leave a review and let me know what you think of this chapter. Reviews help me keep going and help me keep my muse going when it comes to writing. I will hopefully update next week on Monday. Until next time.
