Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 87 of God of Lies and Mischief and the Woman of Many Faces. We're getting closer and closer to the end of this part of the story. Which is painful for me to say knowing that we won't have Loki for much longer in this story. Which brought me to the choice of trying to figure out when to end Everleigh's path. I am curious about what you guys would like to see. I know that this is a Loki series but should she have another love besides Loki? I'll voice this down in the ending part once this chapter is all finished. And a double update this week. I hope you all enjoy this chapter. Without further ado Chapter 87. ENJOY!
Chapter 87
Everleigh twirled the swords in her hands. She had to be thankful for the training that she had with Clint and Natasha and would at some point have to thank them when she saw them again, or if she would ever see them again. She gripped the swords tightly in her hands as she knew that this could be the last fight that she would be in.
Thor began to fight with Hela making sure that she didn't notice Loki leaving the group.
Valkyrie blocked Hela's attempts to spear the Asgardians from afar.
Everleigh looked over her shoulder at Valkyrie. "Hey, Val."
Valkyrie looked over at the young woman who made the swords vanish. "What is it?"
"If you can keep them busy, I can keep a shield up around them so they're safe from Hela's attacks, but I need to make sure that those spears and whatnot stay away from my shield… I know my shield won't last long."
"Won't that wipe you out?" Valkyrie questioned as she blocked another attack.
"If it means to protect them…"
Valkyrie nodded her head. "Do it."
Everleigh nodded her head using her magic to fly towards where the Asgardians were still loading up. She knew that her choice probably wasn't the best thing, but she knew that this probably was the best way to protect them. She had a feeling that there might be a chance that she wouldn't make it through this and see Loki. She took a breath through her teeth and brought up a blue barrier to protect those who were trying to get on the ship. "Heimdall get them onboard now! And be quick about it!"
Heimdall looked over his shoulder, seeing Everleigh with a barrier up. He nodded his head and quickly got the refugees aboard as quickly as he could making sure that they weren't pushing or shoving one another as they scurried aboard the ship.
Everleigh turned her head sharply to look back at Thor to see that Hela was carving him up and making steady progress towards the ark and the last few refugees that were still on the bridge. She looked back and let out a breath of relief to see that they all had gotten aboard the ship. She saw Heimdall, Korg, and Miek get onboard.
"Come Lady Everleigh," Heimdall called out to the young woman.
Everleigh slowly moved back, keeping her shield up as she made her way toward the ship as quickly as she could. She got onto the ship panting softly, her shields lowering from how much she had used.
Heimdall caught her before she ended up falling hard on the deck. His arm wrapped around her tightly, keeping her upright. He then made contact with Thor.
"GO! GO NOW!"
Everleigh's hand gripped tightly to her chest as the engines began to power up. Her eyes watered as she saw Hela harpoon Thor and began to widen when she saw a giant black spike stabbing the ark to keep them from leaving. "Oh, you got to be…" She groaned as she noticed butchers beginning to scramble up the black spike towards Ark. She could hear the screaming from those who were trying to escape from Asgard and she knew that they were trying to protect their families from being killed, but she knew that it could only mean sudden death for anyone to try and protect their family when they had no skill in fighting.
Everleigh turned her head sharply when she heard a family screaming. She saw them cowering in fear knowing that this was probably going to be the end of them when she heard the loud sound of guns going off and the butchers falling dead. She blinked a few times unsure of who this man was, but she knew that he was insane for doing this.
"For Asgard." The man said running forward and leaping off of the ark down to the bridge below.
Everleigh gasped softly unsure if she should go down and help.
"Everleigh, Prince Thor, and Prince Loki both will be angry if you try to help," Heimdall said, looking back at her.
Everleigh took a breath as the ship began its lift off to get away from the carnage below. Her eyes widened when she saw the man that risked his life to save others be killed falling to the bridge in a harsh thump.
"He gave his life to save us. He did the right thing for everything that he had done."
Everleigh turned to face Heimdall to figure out what he had meant.
"He betrayed us and then turned and saved us."
Everleigh swallowed the lump in her throat and nodded her head weakly knowing what that had meant. Her head turned sharply when she saw something exploding through the roof of the palace and growing in size and having a massive sword in its hand. Her brows furrowed in concern for Loki, Thor, Valkyrie, and the Hulk since none of them were on board the ship yet. "Come on." She whispered as she looked down below in hopes that they would be soon joining them.
Everleigh let out a gasp as Thor, Valkyrie, and Hulk jumped onto the ship. Hulk holding the two of them close to him. She moved towards the three of them as Hulk carefully put Thor and Val down.
Valkyrie let out a soft laugh that sounded rather winded from what she had done down there on Asgard.
Thor looked up at Everleigh. "I'm so glad to see you in one piece, Lady Everleigh."
"I'm glad to see you three are in one piece." Her voice came out softly winded slightly from everything that she had done.

This is the end of Chapter 87. I hope that you guys enjoy this chapter. The next chapter will be rather bittersweet since there isn't going to be much Loki after this. Other than seeing him during Avengers End Game and the side story of course. But it's kind of painful to see Loki go. I don't know if she'll end up with someone else. Because I do want this to be a Loki series. But things can change. Please leave a review and let me know if she should have a second love besides Loki. Reviews help me keep going when it comes to writing and planning out future chapters. I have planned up to WandaVision. Which will be fun within itself I can't wait to show you what happens in it. I will hopefully update you next week with a new chapter. Until next time.
