As literally everyone - including the two Maiar of the Sun and Moon, though their ships had remained blessedly skyborne - had fallen asleep, it was impossible to determine exactly how long the Eä-wide nap had lasted. Certainly, based on the sunburns of those unfortunate enough to fall asleep out in the open, it was a fair while. The healers had something of a field-week to fix those.
It was a consensus that Irmo would never get anywhere near stimulants ever again. He was somewhat sad about it, because it had tasted quite well.
Mellissë however, was not done with what her kin already declared 'shenanigans', instead flitting off to her next fascination like a teenager who got a new crush every week... an appropriate comparison considering her part of the Song.
Thuringwethil and Þossaica had a field-day to keep their shared Valie - for a given definition of shared - from becoming too annoying. It did not help that the younger twin once in a while went hands-off for some entertainment.
Usually, Mairon found a bat in some corner after those days... and often enough at most two days later, the Hunt as its' Master followed his daughter.
'Having fun up here?' The fluffy orange cat had needed a few jumps to get to the rafters, where a dark almost-equally fluffy bat hung.
'Why did I think it was a good idea to come down here again?' She muttered darkly, dropping down so she landed on his soft back. He found a nice spot, curling up with his luxurious tail dangling down.
'Heck if I know.' He helpfully pointed out, chuckling when she tugged on his fur in answer. 'Look, I never got her, even before I fell, so...'
'She's matchmaking, Mairon, matchmaking!' Oromë's daughter muttered mentally, burying her face in the orange fur she'd settled on top on.
'Oh, who?' He purred lowly, swishing his tail as he tucked his nose in his paws to keep it away from the few cobwebs that existed up here.
'I suspect you are not feeling much compassion towards me here.'
'Thuri, she's your Valie... you should know her at this point.' Ercasseyonde's Maia reminded her. 'Also, I distinctly remembering you being the daughter of Oromë now. You could just stay with your parents, you know?'
'Look, I prefer civilization's luxuries. Indoor plumbing for one. Don't have any of that when they decide to go count sandgrains in the far south.'
'Good grief, you're spoiled.' He yowled softly when she pulled out some hair for that, shaking her off. Considering the bat had expected that, she fluttered off easily to some other part of the roof-cavity.
'Oh yeah, while I am here...' She remained somewhere below him, where he couldn't pounce if he didn't want to send them both down a good few feet. 'Finwean family-gathering's been planned, can you warn Tyelpe?'
'Where did that come from!?' He still tried to find a trajectory despite that, because that had stung.
'She's trying to find someone for Arakáno.' The other Maia somehow managed to shrug despite flapping wings.
