I'm excited to show you what is going to happen next. Without further ado Chapter 94. ENJOY!
Chapter 94
Everleigh stood next to Natasha, Steve, and Bucky as the carriers hovered above the ground. She took a breath through her nose in the hope of calming herself from what was going to happen soon. She could only hope that they weren't headed to their deaths.
Bruce was walking in the Hulkbuster that Tony had made.
Natasha looked over at the Hulkbuster hoping that they would have some good news about what was out there. "How we looking, Bruce?"
"Yeah, I think I'm getting the hang of it. Wow! It's like being the Hulk without actually-" Bruce then stumbled on a rock and the carrier went by. He got up to his feet. "I'm okay. I'm okay."
Everleigh pursed her lips together as she felt Natasha shift next to her.
"We'll do this together," Natasha said softly to her friend.
Everleigh's eyes slid over to the blonde-haired woman. "Including losing?"
"We won't lose," Steve said, looking over at Everleigh. "We fight till there is no more."
Everleigh swallowed the lump in her throat. She couldn't help but wonder if Steve in a way was going to be sailing their fates.
"We got two heat signatures breaking through the tree line," Sam said over the comm.
Everleigh got off the carrier as M'Baku rallied his soldiers and stopped when T'Challa came closer to them. She bit her lips softly as she stood there behind T'Challa with the others.
"Thank you for standing with us," T'Challa said, pulling M'Baku into a hug.
"Of course, brother."
Everleigh watched Steve, T'Challa, and Natasha walk to the edge of the barrier where a few of Thanos's men were standing. She closed her eyes in hopes that they would be able to talk some reason into them, but the sinking feeling in her chest told her that there was no way that they would be willing to let anyone live. She knew that they were doing something for a reason and that was to kill 50% of life on all planets.
Bucky looked over to Everleigh. "You look nervous."
Everleigh looked over at Bucky. "Nervous? More scared… I mean I'm hoping that they will turn and move away…" She shook her head lightly. "But I doubt it."
Bucky looked up to see T'Challa, Steve, and Natasha returning to the front line. "Did they surrender?"
Steve let out a breath shaking his head lightly. "Not exactly."
T'Challa began to lead his people into a war cry ordering them to hold their lines as the Outriders came bounding towards the barrier.
Bucky blinked a few times seeing them hitting the barrier. "What the hell?"
"Looks like we pissed her off," Natasha said, shaking her head.
Everleigh let out a breath shaking her head. "Of course… and we're going to have to pay for it in the blood aren't we?"
Natasha gave her a look and shrugged her shoulders lightly.
Everleigh let out a soft breath shaking her head lightly knowing that this wasn't a good thing. "They want the stone that is for sure." She wrinkled her nose as the Outriders bombarded the dome only to have a few get through alive.
"They're killing themselves," Okoye said the color leaving her face.
"Have you seen the teeth on those things?" Sam said over the comm.
"Alright, back up, Sam. You're gonna get your wings singed." Rhodey called out to the fellow man in the air.
"Cap, if these things circle the perimeter and get in behind us...There's nothing between them and Vision."
"Then we better keep 'em in front of us," Steve said thinking.
"How do we do that?" Okoye questioned T'Challa.
"We open the barrier," T'Challa said, putting his hand to his ear to give the order. "On my signal, open North-West Section Seventeen. On my signal."
"This will be the end of Wakanda," M'Baku said, looking over at the general of the King's army.
"Then it will be the noblest ending in history."
Everleigh grabbed her weapon knowing that this was going to be a stand that they were going to make against these creatures. She swallowed the lump in her throat as the section of the barrier opened that T'Challa had ordered to be open.
"Wakanda Forever!" T'Challa shouted before crossing his hands over his chest making his helmet appear over her face.
Everleigh followed her team towards the creatures that were now through the barrier. Everleigh blasted a few of the outriders with her magic. Her lip curled in anger as she continued to make her way with her team. She could only hope that they could give Shuri enough time to get the stone out of Vision's head. She looked over to see Thor landing after being brought in by a light beam.
Bruce's helmet moved to laugh. "Hah! Hah! Hah! You guys are so screwed now!"
"BRING ME THANOS!" Thor said charging towards the hoards of Outriders followed by Groot and Rocket. He fought alongside Everleigh and Steve. He looked over at Steve with a curious gaze. "New haircut? I notice you've copied my beard. Oh, by the way, this is a friend of mine. A tree."
"I am Groot."
"I am Steve Rogers."
Everleigh jumped back and used her powers to send two of the outriders up into the air and smashed them together with force. Sweat beaded on her forehead as she continued to fight her way through the outriders. She hadn't even noticed that Wanda had joined in the fight for a few moments.
"NO!" Thor shouted in shock.
Suddenly there was a shift in the air causing Everleigh to turn her head sharply. Her blue eyes widened as her brows pinched together in concern. She knew that something was indeed wrong. She could feel that there was a solemn danger in what she felt.
"WHAT DID YOU DO?!"
Everleigh moved quickly to where Thor and Steve were seeing that Stormbreaker was left on the field and Thanos was nowhere in sight.
"Where'd he go? Thor… where'd he go?" Steve questioned that Asgardian.
"Steve?" Bucky said softly.
Steve looked over, seeing Bucky stumbling over and collapsing into ash.
Everleigh swallowed the lump in her throat. She lowered her head sadly knowing that this wasn't a good thing.
Steve swallowed the lump in his throat. "Oh, God."
Everleigh looked around. "We just lost…" She said softly, her heart plummeting in her chest. She looked at Thor seeing the look on his face. "Thor… did…"
Thor looked over at Everleigh seeing the look on her face. He knew that she was hoping that Loki was still alive. He swallowed the lump in his throat. "I am sorry Lady Everleigh."
Everleigh gasped in shock as tears came to her eyes. She should've known that something was wrong, but was she too far away to feel Loki's magic disappear? The tears slid from her eyes as she felt her legs go weak. Loki was gone and she didn't even have a chance to fully talk to him about what life could be like here on Earth in the spot where Odin had picked before he had died.
Thor moved quickly to grab her as she began to sob softly. "I wish I could have saved him…"
"Thor this isn't your fault…" Everleigh said through broken sobs. She knew that there were a lot of things that they had to do and it wasn't going to be easy. Losing members of their team as well as Thor pretty much-losing everything… it was going to be hard moving on.

This is the end of Chapter 94. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I tried to make this chapter as good as I could. I didn't want to add everything in when it came to the battle since it would be a pain to write. And now we have Everleigh knowing that Loki is dead. I know that she didn't react all that well… but then again I do promise that it'll hit her a lot harder as the story goes. Please leave a review and let me know what you think. I'm going to try to update on Mondays to keep the schedule going. But I do apologize if I don't update weekly. Reviews help me keep going with updates and writing. Until next time.
