It was a regular day. Zim was in his lab, working on his plans like usual. Gir was upstairs, watching the Angry Monkey Show like usual… or that's what Zim thought, at least.
While Zim was working on his new device to conquer Earth, Gir snuck up on him and tackled him. Zim yelped, and immediately got him off himself. "Gir! What on Irk are you doing?! I thought I told you to leave me alone!" Zim yelled. Gir looked up at him innocently and giggled. "I know! I just wanna see what you doin!" Zim shook his head and sighed. "But Gir… When I ask you to leave me alone, you're supposed to obey. When I ask to be left alone, I don't want you to bother me until I say it's okay." Gir stared at him and frowned. "But Masterrr! I wanna see what you doiiin'!" Zim groaned loudly. "No, Gir… You can't-'' He stopped mid sentence, and came up with an idea. "Okay, Gir. Come with me." Gir jumped up in excitement, thinking they were going to do something fun together. Zim picked him up and walked out of his lab. They went into the living room, and Zim started putting on his disguise. "Put on your costume, Gir. We are going to the Dib-worm's house," He said, adjusting his hair piece. "Oooh! The big-headed kid!" Gir replied, now also putting on his disguise. Zim grabbed the dog-leash, put it on Gir and headed outside. "Are we gonna invite him to play?!" Gir asked. Zim looked down at him, still walking on the sidewalk. "...No, Gir. Just wait." Once they arrived at Dib's house, Zim knocked on the door, and Gaz responded. She glared at Zim. "What do you want? Why are you here? You interrupted my Game Slave," She said angrily. Zim cleared his throat. "Hello, filthy Earth creature. I have come for your brother." Gaz sighed and rolled her eyes. "Give me a second." She turned away. "DIB! COME DOWNSTAIRS! ZIM'S HERE!" After she said that, Dib immediately rushed down. "What?! Why is he here?! Careful, Gaz! He could be dangerous!" He said. Gaz just rolled her eyes. "Whatever." She went to the couch, picked up her Game Slave, and started playing it again. Dib rushed over to the door. "What are you doing here, Zim?!" "I have come to ask you to babysit Gir."
Dib raised an eyebrow. Zim wanted to leave his robot with him? He was a little suspicious. Zim noticed this and groaned loudly. "Look, Dib, he's been an annoyance towards me recently. And I can't work with him like this." Dib glared at Zim. "Well, that's good, cuz I don't want you to be able to wor-" "QUIET!" Zim interrupted. "Just look after him!" Before Dib could say anything else, Zim slammed the door shut. Dib sighed and looked down at the robot, who gave him a huge, happy smile. "..." Dib didn't really know what to say. "Hey, Zim's evil robot thingy…" "HI!" Gir responded. Dib picked him up in his hands. He was really light. "So, uh… Did Zim put anything on you, to like… y'know… spy on me or something? Is there some weird tracking device or camera?" Dib asked, checking around Gir's body to try and find some sort of device on it. Gir giggled. "I dunno! Can you make waffles?!" He said. Dib stopped looking and just stared at Gir, confused. "I mean… I guess? I guess Zim did want me to babysit you… But I don't really have much experience making waffles. Usually my dad's robot cooks for me-" "I'LL MAKE YOU WAFFLES!" Gir screamed. Dib blinked, kinda surprised. "Uh… Thanks, but I'm not really that hungry at the moment." But Gir didn't care. He just ran into Dib's kitchen, opened the pantry, and started looking, dropping everything in there on the ground as he did so. Dib followed him in there, and just stared at him in confusion. Then, after a few seconds, Dib walked to one of the cabinets next to the pantry and pulled out some waffle mix, causing Gir to stop everything he was doing and stare. "...You okay?" Dib asked. Gir just stared, before screaming again. "WAFFLES!" He grabbed the waffle mix out of Dib's hands. "Go wait! I'll tell you when it's done!" Gir said. Dib just nodded, and went upstairs to his room. He was doing some research on some random creature, but he couldn't really find much information on it. It was so… mysterious. Dib kept doing his research, waiting for his waffles to be done. Finally, the waffles were done, and Gir ran upstairs to tell Dib. Without even knocking, he opened the door quickly, slamming it against the wall. This caused Dib to get really startled and yell a little. "I'M DONE MAKIN' YOU WAFFLES!" Gir screamed. Dib nodded, and got up from his chair. They both went downstairs, and Dib sat at the table. To be honest, the waffles looked surprisingly good to Dib. He grabbed a fork and a knife, cut the waffle into little pieces, and ate it. Dib was shocked at how good they were, and when he finished it, he wanted more, so he decided to ask Gir if he could cook more for him.
"Those were actually kinda good… Mind if I have some more?" He asked. Gir nodded extremely quickly, and gave him another plate of waffles, covered in syrup.
Meanwhile at Zim's base
Zim was finally working in peace. No noise. No interruption. He liked it at first, but then after a little, he thought it was too quiet. He didn't like it. On one hand, he kind of wanted Gir back, since he missed the noise. On the other hand, he didn't want Gir back, since he knew he would interrupt him over and over again, making it difficult to work. Zim decided to just wait after he was done working to pick up Gir from Dib's house, but still, he was uncomfortable without hearing Gir screaming. He was just used to it. He sighed, and had an idea. He would turn on that weird monkey show Gir loved so much, and that would probably make him feel better. So, he went upstairs into the living room and turned on the TV. Then he went back down to his lab, thinking he would feel better. But he wouldn't. No matter how many times he told himself, he knew Gir wasn't actually up there watching TV. He groaned in frustration, and finally decided to go to Dib's house to pick up Gir. He once again put on his disguise, and walked all the way to Dib's house. He knocked on the door aggressively and impatiently, waiting for Dib to answer. Finally, After a minute or two, Dib answered. "...Zim? What are you doing here?" He asked. Zim raised an eyebrow. "Isn't it obvious? I want my robot back." Dib has a confused look on his face. "Already? You dropped him off thirty minutes ago. Zim was flabbergasted. Only thirty minutes? It had felt like hours. He couldn't believe it. "LIES! Just give me back my robot!" "Okay, geez. One second." Dib left for a few minutes, then came back with Gir. He handed the small robot to Zim and stepped away slightly. "Uh. Cya-" Zim immediately slammed the door on him, and walked away from the house. Gir stared up at him and smiled. "Hiya, Master!" He said happily. Zim stopped and stared down at his robot, then smiled slightly and pat his head. Gir giggled. "Can I go see the big-headed boy tomorrow?"
"...Maybe."
