Warm cozy apartment
"Ai de kowashite mirunda. Kanashii mayu o…"
A long and heavy sigh can be heard mixing with the song playing in the background while a hand slowly makes its way over the mattress to turn it off, peeking timidly out of the layers of blankets covering it up.
A grumble soon follows it as said hand feels the cold wooden surface of the nightstand next to its owner, before finally turning off the damn alarm.
Riko can't help but grumble begrudgingly as a shiver runs down her spine, quickly obliging her to hide her hand and arm back under the layers of blankets, before she also hides further inside the comfort and the warmth that they, along with the hug of her girlfriend, provide her of.
Cold. It's way too cold and early to have to leave the bed.
She thinks to herself, or rather whines to herself as she presses her back against Yoshiko's front, feeling the younger girl tightening the hold of her arms around her while her warm breathing tickles the little hairs on her neck causing her to shiver, this time for a different reason, before a giggle escapes her lips.
But as much as Riko loves the comfort and warmth of both of her girlfriend and bed, and would want nothing more than to stay in for hours, she sadly has to confront the cruel and cold reality of having to get out of bed and get ready if she doesn't want to be late for rehearsals.
Why the conductor of the orchestra she's in at the moment likes to have such early rehearsals in which half of the members of it are still asleep playing their instruments is beyond her understanding, but Riko can't do much about it except gather all her courage and strength to get out of bed every morning.
But that, of course, after staying another good 5 minutes more in the warmth of her beloved girlfriend's embrace, turning around to watch her sleeping peacefully, before she leaves a fleeting kiss on her nose and begrudgingly gets out of bed, this time for real and without waking Yoshiko up.
The soft smile playing on Riko's lips is soon cut off by another cold shiver running down her spine that obliges her to hurry up and get dressed, before heading to the front door to put her coat and boots on ready to leave their warm cozy apartment and venture into the cold weather and lonely streets on her way to get a hot coffee and then the train station.
- Riri?
Her nickname being called in a cutely and sleepy way pulls Riko out of her musings, turning around just in time to see Yoshiko peeking her head from behind the wall while rubbing the sleep off her eyes and shifting from one foot to another to avoid getting cold, yet failing miserably as the burgundy haired girl notices her girlfriend shivering.
A tender smile spreads across her lips as she watches her cute sleepy girlfriend coming to say goodbye, her heart and body warming up at it, before she leaves her bag on the entrance floor and walks to the blue haired girl.
- You're going to get cold, silly.
She whispers fondly as she feels Yoshiko wrapping her arms around her to give her a tight hug, before she notices her placing her feet on her boots, making her giggle.
- It's okay.
Yoshiko mumbles as another shiver runs down her spine, making Riko hug her tightly and run her hands up and down her back in an attempt to keep her warm.
- Go back to bed, Yocchan. It's still too early and cold to be out.
Riko tries to convince the younger girl, hearing her grumbling in return, before sighing, pulling the older girl closer by the lappers of her coat to kiss her deeply, undoubtedly making her feel really warm and giddy inside.
- Be careful.
Yoshiko whispers against her lips, before Riko captures them in another deep kiss, smiling in it to then pull away and rest their foreheads together, nuzzling their cold noses while giggling.
- I will.
Riko promises her, seeing Yoshiko smiling softly, before getting off her boots not without giving her a last peck.
The pianist can only giggle as she walks to retrieve her bag from the floor ready to get out of their warm cozy apartment, waving Yoshiko goodbye, before opening the door just to see the white landscape in front of her and that covers completely her surroundings.
A groan escapes her lips upon the white snowy sight before her, a shiver of cold running down her spine and obliging her to hug herself preparing mentally to really get out to the ruthless cold, when a giggle distracts her, her feet wavering in the air before landing back on their apartment's entrance floor.
- You know, you can always stay.
Yoshiko says playfully, her soft voice and cute appearance now wrapped in a fluffy and very warm blanket tempting Riko to indeed do what her girlfriend suggests and stay at home.
- Don't tempt me. Not all of us can work from home.
Riko mumbles while pouting, envying Yoshiko's work of playing and developing video games from the comfort and warmth of their own apartment. She hears her lucky girlfriend giggling, before her quick footsteps approaching resound through the corridor and soon feels her girlfriend's arms around her neck once again pulling her into another warm kiss.
- Sorry – Yoshiko apologizes cheekily – be careful still.
She tells her giving her another kiss, before pressing something against her chest, making Riko feel warmer than she already felt despite the cold snowy wind entering their warm cozy apartment and hitting her frame.
When she looks down at her chest, she can't help but notice the small warmer Yoshiko just gave her, giggling as she looks at her girlfriend adorably.
- Thank you…
She sees Yoshiko grinning widely, before pushing her towards the door.
- Come on, the sooner you leave, the sooner you'll be back to our warm cozy apartment.
Yoshiko says embarrassedly while giggling, happily kissing Riko once more, before she finally leaves their apartment.
- I'll be back before the snow thaws.
Riko answers playfully back, hearing Yoshiko snorting, before she makes her way through the snow feeling warm after the kisses of her girlfriend and her warmer, yet eager to come back to their warm cozy apartment after an early morning of rehearsals.
