Mini Episode #1: Withered Roses
Night 2, 1:00 AM
It has been exactly an hour past midnight. Quiet snores filled the dorm room of the younger boys, indicating that everyone was practically asleep.
All of them except for maybe one.
Jeremy could only look at the dorm's window from time to time, thinking about different things that would possibly put him to sleep, but to no use.
He sat up, trying to process everything that happened to him. To be frank, his face donned a rather sad expression than a happy one ever since that loss with his performance with Marion earlier.
Different thoughts were running through his head: thoughts about his parents probably not supporting him by watching the show because they were too busy caring for his twin sister, thoughts about getting booted off first, even thoughts about wanting to make friends with some of the others. He's not very open to spill these things, especially since doing so would be way too early as he barely even knew his competition for less than a week.
Since he was seated on the top bunk, he was able to lean off to the side and get a short glimpse of the bottom bunk. His eyes narrowed a bit, only to find a faint light from below his bunk. Scooting a bit closer, he could already see where the light was coming from; light from a phone is being illuminated as to give view to a notebook being written, with someone's left hand gripping a pen just next to it.
"...You're still awake?" Vernon's voice whispered from below, which was obvious that he was the one writing in the bottom bunk. He went through… a somehow similar fate to Jeremy in a way. Only… his stepsiblings hated him because they envy him in a way. But that didn't bother him.
"Uh… yeah…" Jeremy merely nodded. "Couldn't sleep."
"Same." he lightly chuckled. "My inspiration usually comes out in the night, though. So… I usually just end up writing these before I sleep."
"Ah… I see." Jeremy quietly responded. He wasn't sure if making friends with him was a good idea, but maybe it wouldn't hurt to do so. After all, two quiet people would probably make a good duo after all.
"Hey, you did pretty good with your performance with Marion, by the way."
"You think so? The hosts probably thought it sucked." the musical nerd sighed in disappointment, that fact stil lingering on his mind.
"Well, you did better than me, that's for sure." Vernon assured as he continued to write in his notebook. "I'm pretty sure you have what it takes to go in Major."
Jeremy thought about what he said. Maybe he was right, of course there was a reason for it, he probably just can't pinpoint on what it is. After all, the hosts looked as if they didn't want to place them in Team Minor in the first place.
