Transformers Prime: No Autobots Are Idiots.
Chapter 17: Decepticon Freedom Fighters.
(Transformers Prime Universe #192,394,596,203,495,867,019,183, Thursday, June 10th, 2010, third person POV...)
In an undisclosed part of the United States where there are abandoned suburbs leading to a nearby forest and a nearby assortment of caves, a woman was taking a walk, whistling cheerfully to the tune of Chubby Checker's The Twist.
She was tall and muscular for a woman, standing at six feet and three inches tall, with jet black flowing hair reaching her shoulders, emerald green eyes, fair skin, and 60% muscle mass without being overly muscular and without looking like she's gaining too much weight in spite of her being able to exercise a lot without overdoing it.
This woman walked while doing a Saturday Night Fever strut down the street and while also doing the Spider-Man 2 Peter Parker dorky walk.
After a few minutes, the whistling stopped, and she glanced around, hearing nothing.
Suddenly, she could hear the Charlie Puth song Attention playing on her cell phone.
She pulls it out of her back pocket and looks at the caller I.D., seeing it display as "Underclash."
She answers it and asks, "Yes, Underclash?"
Underclash states, "Chargebreaker, a cluster of Autobot and Decepticon life signals are converging on your coordinates. We can't take any chances, but we also have to find a way to get in touch with Optimus Prime's forces."
Chargebreaker questions, "Are these signals coming from west by northeast?"
Underclash answers, "Yes, ma'am. Orders?"
Chargebreaker answers, "See to it that our Ground Bridge connects with the Autobots' Ground Bridge, see to it that our communications are linked with the communications of the Autobot base, and see to it that our duplicated Energon Locaters and Energon Refiners are given to the Autobots. I'll give you further orders after I make contact with the Autobots."
Underclash replies before asking, "Yes, ma'am. I'll be standing by should I hear word from you. Do you need me to send you a Ground Bridge?"
Chargebreaker answers, "No. I can handle things for the most part."
Another voice asks, "Do you need me to pick you up?"
Chargebreaker answers, "No, Moonbox. I intend to stay hidden and observe the fight while finding a way to get in contact with the Autobots."
Moonbox questions, "But what if you get spotted by Decepticons?"
Chargebreaker replies, "As long as I maintain caution, they won't be able to notice me. Besides, I've had millions of years to practice acting like a human."
Moonbox replies, "Understood."
Chargebreaker hangs up and activates her full human form.
The sounds then became louder and more clear.
Chargebreaker could easily hear blaster and gunfire, heavy pede falls, the clanging and slashing of metal against metal, the snapping of trees, and the crunching of soil and plants.
As the Autobots took on the Ground Vehicon Troopers and the Ground Vehicon Generals, Snipper backflipped multiple times to avoid a Vehicon General's advanced combat moves.
As Smokeedge came up to reprogram the General, much to Snipper's surprise, she took a glimpse at the road and did a double-take when she saw the human standing there with a look of awe, apparently dressed in a metal suit of armor and carrying what appeared to be a human-sized Cybertronian stun blaster with the setting set on kill.
Snipper says into her commlink, "Optimus, this is urgent. We've been spotted by a human behind us, by the road."
Optimus replies, "Acknowledged. Protect the human; I will rendezvous at your position."
Suddenly, the human looked up towards the sky, and Snipper does so, only for the both of them to spot the Decepticon Ground Bridge opening above them.
Fourteen Decepticon Fliers took on a fingertip right formation and a V formation, but Chargebreaker immediately fired on the lead UAV that happens to be Soundwave, taking everyone by surprise.
Soundwave immediately dodged the stun blasts, but 2 Vehicon Jets weren't so fortunate to evade the stun bolts in time.
As the Autobots took up a defensive circle around the human, a Vehicon broke off a nearby tree near the roots.
Smokeedge takes out his flaming sword and swiftly slices the tree into big and small chunks of wood before decapitating the drone.
But then, a Ground Vehicon General smashes Smokeedge with a lance of its own, even though the drone didn't know Smokeedge was nearly invulnerable.
Soundwave stepped back in fear as he saw Smokeedge deploy an Energon Axe and bisect the General before the two halves exploded.
As the remaining Vehicons were offline, Soundwave hightailed it through a Ground Bridge.
Optimus questions, "Where is the human?"
Chargebreaker answers, "On your lower right."
Optimus looks down in the direction of his lower right to see the human looking up at him, but more specifically at his dented right shoulder plate.
Optimus questions, "Are you alright?"
Chargebreaker answers, "Yeah, considering the fact that I almost got captured by Soundwave if I hadn't shot at him with my stun blaster."
Everyone looks at the human femme in shock, not anticipating that she would know who Soundwave was.
But any questions were lost when she asked, "What about you? Are you okay? Your right shoulder plate looks like it was dented by a drone using either a hammer or a tree ripped out of its roots, and it appears to be bleeding."
Optimus' optics widened before he felt his shoulder plate, only to feel his servo wet with his Energon.
Optimus replies, "Now I see what you mean. Anyway, we mean you no harm and bear you no malice, but we cannot simply leave you here. Our enemies will possibly return to harm you if they manage to find you. Will you please come with us? We will explain everything to you in our base."
Chargebreaker replies back, "All right. Let's go."
Snipper says into her commlink, "Ratchet, we need a Ground Bridge. Optimus has a bleeding dented right shoulder plate that needs looking over."
Ratchet replies, "Coming up."
Everyone goes through the Ground Bridge to the base.
Chargebreaker takes note of everything in the base, and notices that the Autobots' equipment has undergone vast improvements, thanks in part to the Forge of Solus Prime.
Ratchet asks, "Smokeedge, can you help Optimus' repairs finish up?"
Smokeedge nods and does so with his Energon Repair Grenades.
Ratchet notices Chargebreaker and snarls, "A human?! What's the meaning of this?!"
Overscreen answers, "She saw us fighting the Decepticons, and when Soundwave and a few more Vehicon Jets noticed her, she tried to immobilize Soundwave with a human-sized Cybertronian stun blaster."
Ratchet whirls around to look at Chargebreaker in shock.
Ratchet questions with interest and suspicion, "Where did you get a stun blaster?"
Chargebreaker replies, "Hhhaaa. I was hoping you wouldn't find out until I was ready, but..."
Chargebreaker proceeds to switch to her Cybertronian form, much to everyone's collective shock.
Everyone could see that Chargebreaker's robot mode was standing at 29 feet tall, her armor was in amaranth red, frostbite pink, French sky blue, and French lime green, her frame had wheels on her backplate alongside the car doorwings on her backplate, she had car wheels on the backs of her calf guards, she had a car front arranged in 2 different configurations flawlessly without making her chestplate look like a mismatched jigsaw puzzle, she had a grayish-silver faceplate, and she had a medium-sized helmet with trident prong-shaped horns.
Chargebreaker says, "My designation is Chargebreaker, and together with my one hundred and two thousand, seven hundred and twenty-nine friends and surrogate relatives, we have remained hidden from Autobots and Decepticons alike as the Transformer Guerilla Corps."
Optimus and the others looked at each other in shock, but before anyone can say anything, the Autobot Ground Bridge opened and out came Chargebreaker's troops.
It took a lot of convincing, but eventually, the Autobots got new recruits even further.
But of course, Smokeedge knew that it was a matter of time before the Darkness Rising Part 1 episode came to be.
He wanted all hands on deck to be ready.
More specifically in the sense that he wanted any further Autobots or otherwise Neutral Cybertronians on Earth or coming to Earth to rendezvous with him and his fellow Autobots.
On the other hand, Smokeedge knew when to take things easy, even outside of sharing debates with the Nightowl Trines, with White Crossbill and her friends, with Kenneth and Christian about their shared collective foreknowledge. And considering the fact that Smokeedge was the only one in the masses to have once been a child of a mysterious forty-first Prime only to be sent into the Quadwal cluster as a human infant with his memories erased and only to be sent back into the Transformers Prime universe on his 21st birthday and become immersed in the Great War after some help from the Primes, complete with him giving his intel on the Decepticons' numbers, tactics, battle plans, and so forth, well, that literally resulted in Senturion, Punisher, Legionnaire, Strongflatten, Badgespear, Guerigeant, Insurcom, Sentumvir, Centurion, Centumvir, Zenturion, Zentumvir, Kenturion, Kentumvir, Gadgetfoot, Spearteer, Fashionformer, Raiseforger, Manufactureshaper, Moldcreator, Fabricaterector, Formconstructor, Frameknocker, Forgemolder, Shapeformer, Constructfabric, Createfashioner, Assembleraiser, Knockmanufacturer, Erectframe, Belurion, Delurion, Pelurion, Quelurion, Avenger, Nemesis, Vigilante, Revenger, Castigator, Redresser, Righter, Requiter, Vindicator, Tormentor, Chastiser, Retaliator, Chastener, Corrector, Penalizer, Executor, Executioner, Flogger, Hangman, Headsman, Strangler, Torturer, Smiter, Discipliner, Fixer, Handler, Blackbadge, Conscriptor, Cavalrybacker, Amazonfighter, Chiefigerent, Armiggressor, Aidetain, Brifodder, Regionnaire, Warraider, Battleasor, Brightwing, Superion, Defensor, Computron, Volcanicus, The Beast, Betatron, Big Motorvator, Big Rescue Force, Superion Maximus, Dauntless Maximus, Dragon Beast, G Liner, Gaia Guardian, Gaiacross, Strictstone, Guard City, Landcross, Landfill, Lazerbolt, Magnaboss, Mega-Dinobot, Modulus, Omega Prime, Orthia, Raiden, Rail Racer, Build King, JRX, Road Caesar, Ruination, Shelterscreen, Sixbuilder, Sixliner, Sixtrain, Sixturbo, Sixwing, Sky Reign, Supernova Convoy, Tonkanator, the Trainbot Omni-Car Joint, Sixtupledacus, Tripledacus, Ultra Prime, Unstoppimus, Victorion, Victory Saber, Volcaticon, Wreckage, Elita Infin1te, Jumphammer Maximus, Phoenixtitan Maximus, Kingball Maximus, Maycall Maximus, Firepower Maximus, Streamer Maximus, Ironsquare Maximus, Actwave Maximus, Impactcore Maximus, Ironrage Maximus, Shifter Maximus, Sounder-117 Maximus, Fighter-283 Maximus, Spartan-072 Maximus, Primefin Maximus, Primespin Maximus, Firespin Maximus, Nifist Maximus, Crashwing Maximus, Jetcore Maximus, Spinfin Maximus, Jetcrash Maximus, Firefin Maximus, Crashcore Maximus, Bicore Maximus, Jetfin Maximus, Helpershot Maximus, Onyxwall Maximus, Actsquare Maximus, Firestreamer Maximus, Powerstreamer Maximus, Helpercore Maximus, Mayball Maximus, Kingcall Maximus, Nicore Maximus, Kaiwing Maximus, Zerwing Maximus, Helperwing Maximus, Phoenixhammer Maximus, Bifist Maximus, Biwing Maximus, Niwing Maximus, Jumptitan Maximus, Rollheader Maximus, Finface Maximus, Banzaicone Maximus, Gutspin Maximus, Skyhandler Maximus, Cutwatch Maximus, Finstuff Maximus, Gutmine Maximus, Groundlane Maximus, Ratstalker Maximus, Roadlord Maximus, Primecore Maximus, Battlewise Maximus, Afterstreak Maximus, Blackshaft Maximus, Shiftsounder Maximus, Ironcore Maximus, Impactrage Maximus, Windslammer Maximus, Narufist Maximus, Axefin Maximus, Blazetank Maximus, Bladechopper Maximus, Neohead Maximus, Maxtangler Maximus, Rhibreaker Maximus, Thunderroad Maximus, Corekeeper Maximus, Thundergunner Maximus, Clawhead Maximus, Novaparin Maximus, Saberless Maximus, Smokepack Maximus, and Optimus Maximus.
But if Smokeedge is being honest, for the Decepticon combiners among them, he was still uncertain about whether or not the combiner turncoats could be fully trusted considering his small paranoia and big trust issues. But he had to have faith, for he may be surprised about how much the new Autobot combiners would come through for their new friends.
Smokeedge went into the SAFE and when the new recruits came for training, it was smooth sailing from there.
The End.
