N/A: I had to work on this chapter ASAP. I did not expect this many reviews and even PMs from everyone for just one chapter. So I decided I really needed to work on this one and release it as soon as possible. Think of it as an early Christmas present.
And with that, I do hope you all have a good Christmas and please enjoy this chapter.
ALSO, I will be answering any and all questions from reviews at the end of each chapter.
Chapter 2: A bit of bad news
Night City: September 26th 2073
A quick three months had passed within Night City. During the time, they were taught a very rough and warped learning of the black apple. The broadest points were, Cybernetics. They were the way of living and if you wanted to survive you had to chrome up. The biggest issue with that was it cost a few eddies to do so, eddies the two did not have.
Another was that the ones who ran the city weren't government leaders or even the police. But, corporations and gangs. They were the ones who called the shots and who got to dictate who really lived and who died. Death was a common occurrence in Night City with the average death rate being in the double digits daily.
That had been a culture shock to the two teens, not that death was common. That was a given, they had killed before. No, the shock was how numb a civilian was to the violence. Rita and some of the Moxes had told them stories or how on their way to Lizzie's they had to walk past a crime scene of gang violence or some poor gonk that got zeroed for just walking at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Then the real confusion was the Corporations or 'Corpos' as everyone called them. The three biggest being, Arasaka, Militech, and Biotechnica. From what Naruto and Sasuke were able to learn were that they will do anything for more power and money or as everyone else said, Eddies. Even going as far as sending a hit squad to kill their own parents if it meant getting up on the social ladder.
They had also been taught the basics of technology. Rita had tried, but after spending ten minutes on teaching them how to just turn on a terminal. She screamed and stormed out before dragging in Judy and told her she was, "Cashing in a favor." Before promptly storming out and leaving the techie and shinobi alone. That had turned out relatively well, but Naruto and Sasuke did notice how Judy was speaking to them like they were toddlers.
Fortunately, the two didn't just learn about the new world, they also had to work in it. More so work as guards within Lizzie's bar. Suzie had kept true to her word and forced them into work of some kind. She originally was going to stuff them as janitors, but decided to test them in the hopes they would fail as guards and have a reason to kick them to the street. That of course was a mistake on her part.
It had only been two days into their new jobs as guards when an argument between one of the Moxes and a customer broke out. The reason being to him becoming handsy with the Mox, of course the number one rule was no touching which caused her to slap him and tell him to fuck off. The customer's reply was to strike her back, but before he could fully raise his hand. He felt someone grab his arm and another place a hand on his opposite shoulder.
When the drunk Gonk tried to swing at the guards with his free hand, he was met with his trapped arm snapped in an uncomfortable direction. Causing him to scream in pain and shock, that had been quickly silenced with a punch to the jaw knocking him out. Without a word, one of the guards lifted him up with one arm while the other followed behind and towards the main exit.
~~~SCENE~~~
The two had been trying nearly everyday to get some kind of sign or even possibility of finding a way home. It started in the first week when Sasuke had realized both he and Naruto had both halves of the sage of six paths. From that, they had tried to form a release seal between the two of them, but nothing happened. They had then gone over every seal combination possible before Sasuke cursed. He had even tried opening up a dimension himself, but was met with nothing. It was as if something was preventing their escape from this reality.
"Anything?" Sasuke asked as he sat cross legged, his back against Naruto's, who sat in a similar position to him.
Naruto let out a tired sigh, "Nothing… The natural energy here is non-existent."
Sasuke sighed before groaning and then cursing aloud and jumped to his feet spinning and facing Naruto. "This, this is all your fault," Sasuke spat.
"How is this my fault? Naruto asked incredulously.
"If you didn't try to stop me, if you just let me lead the world, then we wouldn't be here right now!" Sasuke Barked out in anger.
"Do you know how ridiculous you sound? You wanted to force everyone into peace by using fear. You sound just like Madara and Obito did!" Naruto bit back.
"And what was your plan, Naruto? To let the villages have their freedom again? Just so another war can start in a decade or two?" Sasuke argued.
"How do you know that would have happened? The world was allied to fight a common enemy, what's to say it wouldn't have stayed like that?"
"Look at what happened when Hashirama had the same idea… He even gave every village the Bijuu in hopes to build relations. And they just went and used them against one another!"
"Yet you would have led the world to peace? You would have just gone against all of Itachi's goals and wishes?"
Hearing his brother's name, Sasuke froze and glared at Naruto, "Don't talk about Itachi like you knew him."
"I might have not known him like you, Sasuke, but I know what he wanted. He wanted to keep you safe and for you to live a life he never got to enjoy!" Naruto shouted, his anger and emotions getting the best of him. "Do you want to know what he told me when I spoke to him?"
"Whe- where did you speak to him?" Sasuke asked.
"We came across one another when he was reanimated. He was possessed and he used the very genjutsu that was supposed to be for you on himself so he can put an end to the reanimation. A Genjutsu meant to put an end to that unrealistic goal of yours and to bring you back home to enjoy your life." Naruto explained angrily.
"What…" Sasuke said, his mind beginning to reel at the revelation.
Naruto ignored him and continued on. "He told me, 'If you forget others because you now have power, and become arrogant and egotistical, you'll eventually become just like Madara.' Do you think he would have agreed with you if he saw what you tried to become? What you did become."
Sasuke stood there, his head down, but his face scrunched in a mix of anger and confusion. When Naruto realized the black haired teen wasn't going to say anything. He turned and stalked to the door, "I'm gonna go see if anyone needs help."
When he didn't get an acknowledgement he walked out, as the door closed behind him. He heard a shout and scream from behind the door. He knew Sasuke needed to vent his anger, he also knew he wouldn't do it with him in his presence. Naruto only looked at the door and leaned on the wall next to it, slowly sliding down to sit, as he listened to Sasuke's shouts and cries of anger escape.
They were brothers now, and even if Naruto knew Sasuke still held some kind of grudge against him. He would protect the Uchiha and try to keep him within the light. Just like he did all those years ago.
Two hours had passed from the moment Naruto left. During that time he had heard curses and shouts. Of course some of the Moxes had come to see what was going on. But, when they saw Naruto there he had waved them off saying everything was fine and continued sitting there scrolling on his phone that Judy had shown them two how to use a month ago.
The device was an interesting thing to Naruto, if he had any questions about a topic. He could just search it up on the phone and get his answer. Sure it might not be the full or even the correct answer at times, but it still fascinated him that something that could fit in his pocket could do something like that. He also found out it could play games on it, so it was a great way to pass the time.
"Cybernetic arms…" Naruto said aloud to himself as he typed in the words slowly with his one arm. Him and Sasuke had grown accustomed to having only a single arm. Yet, they both had agreed it would be nice to have both again. Of course they were very hesitant on doing such a thing, they were hoping they could just get a metal arm and be done with it.
But they both quickly came to realize if they wanted any form of metal on their person. Then they would need a Neural slot, as from how Judy explained it. "The cybernetics will need something to link to as they can't just go metal to the brain. Along with their need to be updated from time to time along with running diagnostics to see how the software is holding up." Of course it was explained a lot differently, but when Naruto and even Sasuke couldn't understand the gibberish Judy had told them, she sighed and told them that.
From that point on, they were hesitant on getting any work done since when or even if they were able to return home. Their cybernetics would more than likely become an issue with no one to help them with the upkeep.
Yet, Everyday they were losing hope. It was a constant cycle and they were slowly becoming to fit the definition of insanity. Nothing new had come from their hours of meditation or figuring out what they were searching for. Nothing came to them, and what made it worse was Kurama was still asleep. He felt the fox was still present, but he could feel how weak the fox was. The only explanation he and Sasuke could think of was that it simply was due to the lack of natural energy within the city.
They had sent out a few clones during the night in hopes they would find something. Which came to a bust, with the closest thing they could find was a small park within Corporate plaza. The issue with that was everything was almost fake in terms of pure nature. That had happened last night, which was more than likely the biggest reason for Sasuke's outburst as he had possibly come to reason that they were stuck in this new world.
Naruto sighed and turned off his phone. "Shit…" he said to himself before finally standing and stretching his back out before walking into the room. He looked around and saw Sasuke was laying on his bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.
Naruto only glanced his way and laid on his bed, copying Sasuke's action of staring at the ceiling, minutes had passed before Naruto felt himself slowly let his eyelids droop for a nap.
"I'm sorry…" Sasuke said, still staring at the ceiling.
"Huh? What?" Naruto asked, his eyes opening and looking at Sasuke.
"I said… I'm sorry," Sasuke said again, his voice heavy with reluctance on apologizing to the Uzumaki.
When Naruto didn't say a word, Sasuke finally decided to tear his eyes from the ceiling and turn to the left to look at where Naruto was lying down. When he saw Naruto looking at him blankly, he felt his irritation grow. "Are you going to say anything, or are you just going to stare at me like an idiot?"
Sasuke finally saw Naruto take a breath and looked relieved before saying. "Phew… I almost thought you weren't Sasuke for a second."
Sasuke scoffed and faced the ceiling again. Unable to hide the smallest upturn of his lips.
Even if the blonde haired Uzumaki constantly pissed him off. He couldn't help but admit that he was the closest thing he would see to a brother now. Ever since the days at the academy and after his family's death. Naruto wasn't only his rival and best friend, but his closest thing to a family.
"Hey Sasuke…" Naruto said quietly, his eye's back on the ceiling.
"Yea, Naruto." Sasuke said, looking back at him.
A few seconds of silence passed before Naruto's voice came again. "I think we should get a Neural port."
Hearing those words, Sasuke felt his heart sink. He had lost hope of getting back home, but he had at least hoped Naruto wouldn't give up. But, hearing those words, he knew Naruto gave up like him. They would never admit it so bluntly, but talking about finally taking the leap for chrome meant they both accepted it.
"Yea… I think we should." Sasuke replied.
~~~SCENE~~~
"Hey Jude!" Naruto called out, stepping into the basement level of Lizzie's with Sasuke to his side.
"I told you to stop calling me that." Judy replied, her attention diverted to the part she was currently fiddling with. The reply had become more so a way of greeting now than an actual complaint.
"But Evelyn calls you it all the time." Naruto shot back.
"And that's Evelyn, you're Naruto." She said as if that was the answer Naruto wanted.
"Jude, we were hoping you knew someone that can get us hooked up with Neural ports," Sasuke said.
"You two finally decided to chrome up?" Judy said, taking her attention off her tech and looking at the two.
"Hey, why can Sasuke call you-" Naruto began but was cut off as Sasuke spoke over him.
"Yea, but we want someone who we can trust. Not some random run of the mill ripperdoc."
"Hmmmm…" Judy hummed, rubbing her chin in thought. "There was Dr. Chrome, but he's currently out due to the whole Kabuki explosion."
Naruto and Sasuke winced at that, they knew they were the reason for the explosion and destruction of the plaza. They had gone back to the site a couple of weeks after their arrival at Lizzie's and noticed the explosion had matched up identical to how their two moves would have if they collided.
Judy either not noticing their reaction or ignored it, continued on. "There is one Ripperdoc, but he's kind of new. Only been in the game for a couple of years now, his name is Viktor Vektor or something like that."
Sasuke nodded at that, "Do you know how much a Neural processor goes for?"
"Nothing too bad, probably around five hundred eddies," Judy shrugged.
Sasuke nodded at that, "You know anyone that needs something done for a thousand eddies?"
Judy glanced at the two, "Are you both really that strapped for cash?"
"Well, Suzie's form of payment is us living under her roof," Naruto said.
"What about Rita?" Asked Judy.
"We'd rather not ask anyone for eddies." Sasuke answered, with Naruto nodding in agreement.
Judy sighed, "Sorry guys, but I'm not a fixer. I would say maybe ask Suzie if she can have you guys do something for some cash. I bet there's something she needs. That she would have to pay you both for."
Sasuke and Naruto looked at one another, "Couldn't hurt to ask." Naruto commented, with Sasuke shrugging his shoulders.
"Alright, we'll try there. Can you send us the deets to that ripperdoc also?" Sasuke said, leaving with Naruto to his side.
"Already sending your way." She called out, already leaning forward and working back on her tech.
~~~SCENE~~~
Suzie groaned as she sat at her desk. It seemed like whenever something good was happening for the Moxes. Someone or something just had to come and take a shit on her lap. Then as if a cruel joke, she heard a knock come from the door.
"It's open!" She called out, before groaning again at seeing the brothers who were still living under her roof. How they were brothers, fuck if she knew. They looked nothing alike, but hey they both said they were so whatever.
Her exasperation towards the two wasn't because they were terrible kids. No, the reason was because they did their job perfectly. To the point she had no choice but to stick to her agreement and let them live in Lizzie's. She was proven wrong and if anyone knew Suzie Q, they would know she hated being proven wrong.
"What do you two want?" She said, her eye's going back to her terminal.
"We were wondering if you needed any help with anything, that you can possibly pay us for?" Naruto said awkwardly, his one hand rubbing the back of his head.
Sasuke groaned and commented, "He means. We are planning on getting Neural links. But because we are broke we need some money to do so."
Suzie glanced at them, and was about to tell them to fuck off and how she pays them enough by letting them live here. That was before a brilliant idea popped off in her mind. "I do actually have something for you two." She said, trying to hide the grin that threatened to show.
Sasuke and Naruto arched an eyebrow. Even if Suzie tried hiding it, they could tell she was planning something.
"One of the girls, Sabrina, you know her. Hasn't shown up to work in a few days. We have been trying to get into contact with her. But, we haven't been able to. I want you to check in on her and see if she's okay." Suzie explained, already sending the deets to her home to their phones.
"That's all?" Naruto asked.
"That's all, just give me a call when you get there and tell me if it's anything important." Suzie said, already waving them out the door.
The two shrugged and walked out the door. Making their way to the exit of Lizzie's already having their coats and on. "I have a feeling this isn't going to be a simple wellness check," Sasuke grumbled.
"If Rita's lessons have taught us anything about Night City… Then you're probably right," Naruto replied.
As they walked out into the public and onto the sidewalk, Sasuke hissed before turning his phone over to show Naruto. "She lives in Japan town."
Naruto only grimaced at the news. He and Sasuke had learned quite early on that Japan town was a danger zone for moxes. The reason for the danger? A rival gang named the tiger claws had claimed it as their home territory. The two gangs had a bloody history with one another. From what Naruto and Sasuke had been told, the bar was named after the original owner of the bar who had killed three tiger claws due to their brutal rape and murder of one of her coworkers and friends.
The tiger claws had retaliated with attacking the bar and killing Lizzie. Which in turn caused a war between the Moxes and Tiger Claws. Along with the uproar and anger from the everyday civilians of Night City, forcing riots and attacks on tiger claws and their businesses. The war had gone on for four months, before the two gangs had finally decided the death toll between them had reached new heights and called a very shaky and uneasy truce. In the end the Moxes and Lizzie's bar were birthed and another new household name gang was in the black apple known as Night City.
"Why would a Mox be living in Japan town?" asked Naruto with a sigh.
"A question to ask her when we get there. At least it's towards the edge of the district," Sasuke replied.
Naruto nodded in agreement, already walking in step with Sasuke to the east. Both having the gut feeling that everything was about to change within their already fucked up lives.
~~~SCENE~~~
The two had arrived at their destination in an hour. The reason for the time was due to them having to blend in with the populace. Meaning the last thing they needed was to run across buildings or walk over the water.
"Shit," Sasuke hissed as he looked at the apartment building that housed the Mox in question. Which was currently being guarded by two Tiger Claws, and one thing they had been told was if there were a couple of tiger claws then there were at least a dozen somewhere close by.
"Either Sabrina is a gonk who decided to live in a Tiger Claw den… Or they discovered who she was and are holding her hostage." Naruto thought aloud, he didn't want to jump to conclusions. But, he knew better and decided thinking the worst case scenario helped him brace for the inevitable fighting.
"Call up Suzie," Sasuke said, crouching low with his eyes scanning the apartment building. The two Shinobi standing across the street under a store's awning.
Naruto nodded and pulled out his phone and selected Suzie Q who appeared as, "Granny Suzie" under his contact. Something only him, Sasuke and Rita knew was what he called her when she wasn't present.
"Are you two there yet?" Suzie asked as soon as she answered the phone.
"Yeah, but we got a bit of bad news."
Naruto heard the leader of the Moxes let out a sigh, "What is it?"
"Tiger Claws… There's two posted at the main entrance, and no doubt more inside the building."
"Fuck…" Suzie cursed before going silent for a few seconds and continuing. "I need you guys to go and see if she's alive or dead."
Naruto glanced at Sasuke who heard the back end of the call and nodded. "Alright."
"If she's alive, try to get her out of there. If the Tiger Claws haven't killed her…" Suzie said, her voice dying out. Not wanting to continue on what she was going to say.
"Consider it done Sue," Naruto finished. The blonde hung up the call and stuffing his phone in his pocket.
Sasuke stood up and lifted his hood over his head along with Naruto so as to conceal their identity as much as possible. Back in their world, doing so wasn't necessary. But now? In this congested city, word got around fast and they would have hits on their backs along with everyone they associated themselves with.
The two, being ready, made their way across the street and kept their heads low. Keeping in the middle of the crowd that was taking the crosswalk, before making a beeline for the two guards.
As they neared the two gangers, they finally took notice of the hooded figures. "Buildings closed, fuck off." One of them said, when Naruto and Sasuke were ten feet away.
"You deaf? We said fuck off." Said the other, both of them beginning to brandish kaikens.
The moment the weapons were clear of the sheaths within the gangers waistband. Naruto and Sasuke appeared in front of them, swiping the blades from their loose grips the tiger claws had on them and stabbing forward, embedding the weapon within their hearts.
Just as quick, they grabbed onto the bodies and walked them forward into the building. As the door closed, they dropped them and looked around for any others that would be hanging around the lobby. Thankfully the lobby was empty, from both gangers and citizens.
"Check them for anything we can use." Sasuke said, already reaching down to check over his kill.
Naruto grunted, already doing his basic search of pockets and such. Unfortunately, they didn't find anything else besides the Kaiken they had been killed with and a mask that both wore.
"Would be a nice way to conceal our identity," Naruto said. Pulling off the mask from the gangers dead body and inspecting it. It was a green half mask resembling the mouth of what was no doubt an Oni demon with two fangs on the top protruding out.
Sasuke removed the one from his and inspected it himself, similar to Naruto's but his being white with two fangs on bottom protruding out.
"How do I look?" Naruto said, already wearing the mask. His eyes cast low and glaring as if he was trying to be as threatening as possible.
"Like an idiot," Sasuke replied, putting on his mask and tightening the strap. Internally thanking the designer of the mask for making it easy to do with one arm.
"Did Suzie tell you what floor she's on?" Sasuke asked, making his way to the elevator with Naruto in step.
"The Fifth," Naruto answered, hitting the button as they stepped onto the dirty elevator.
"I still find it hard to believe this is considered decent living." Naruto said aloud.
"When corruption, violence and hate is rampant, I doubt they consider how clean things are." Sasuke said in disgust.
"Everyone is so used to living like this. Even if we removed the leaders and corruption. It'll just be replaced by someone else." Naruto commented with a grimace.
As Sasuke was about to reply, the elevator dinged. As the doors opened the two masked shinobi were met with a hallway of at least a dozen Tiger Claws.
"Who the fuck are you two? Where's Kaito and Shuta?" Asked one of the tiger claws. This one a female, heavily marked with both tattoos and cybernetics.
She never got a reply as the kaiken Sasuke had been holding was thrown, piercing her chest. "They're dead."
The gangers stood frozen for only seconds before they shouted before brandishing weapons of their own. Mixtures of swords and guns, both semi and fully automatic. Unfortunately it didn't mean much to them as Naruto and Sasuke were already on the move.
The two had sprinted forward, Sasuke ripping the small blade out of the gangers dead body. He then saw two gangers in the middle of the now standing eleven gangers., one with a sword and one with what he now knew was a handgun behind the sword wielder.
Already having decided every ganger here was to die. Sasuke used his rinnegan and switched places with the one holding the gun and slashed forward, cutting the neck of the sword wielding Tiger claw before dropping it and grabbing the larger sword from his hands before he fell.
Naruto was right behind Sasuke when the switch happened. Naruto knew of the ability and reacted accordingly, stabbing his blade into the gun wielder's chest. The look on the already dead man's face was only confused. Not knowing how he could appear somewhere else without his knowledge.
The blonde then saw one of the female gangers further down the hall. Holding a larger gun which from Rita's teachings told him was an SMG. Point it at Sasuke, who had cut down two more. Naruto, knowing he didn't have time, threw the blade forward, his aim hitting true and lodging itself in the female's head. Her body dropped as if her strings were cut. While her finger tightened around the trigger letting off a burst, thankfully missing Sasuke and striking a ganger in the body and head.
"Shit!" He cursed as another appeared in front of him. Moving as fast as he and Sasuke did. 'So this is the sandevistan' he thought to himself, as he dodged a blade that was coming out of their arm. 'And those are mantis blades', he thought. Naruto quickly realized how dangerous this one could be and formed a rasengan.
The ball of chakra looked almost like a ball of air and wind to the Tiger Claw. Not knowing what the ball was, the ganger blocked the incoming attack with his mantis arms. That was futile as the ball destroyed his arms like paper before connecting with his chest. Once it did it felt like his insides were being ripped apart from the inside as his body twisted.
Naruto paid no mind to the body of the tiger claw as the force of the rasengan sent it flying multiple feet down the hall like a bullet before slamming into another tiger claw.
Sasuke glanced back quickly and smirked before activating his chidori and stabbing it through his final enemy, the ear piercing chirping emitting around him.
Only two enemies still stood in front of Naruto, their eyes and faces no longer showing anger and determination. But fear at what they were seeing. These weren't typical mercenaries, no these were something else.
They weren't even human.
Naruto, not caring how the two enemies were frozen, launched forward, grabbing a sword that was on the ground from a fallen tiger claw and slashed through both. Their bodies crumpled to the ground, only being able to twitch before finally going still.
The Uzumaki only looked down at the two in disgust before moving to Sasuke. If he was still in his reality, he would have been disgusted with his actions. But he wasn't, he was now in a world where the ones who tried to kill him weren't just soldiers doing their job, no, these people were monsters. Monsters that enjoyed to hurt, traffic, kill and rape. Only because they had the power to do so. These monsters didn't deserve mercy, and to Naruto they would never see it come from him.
Every ganger he saw, every man and woman who meant harm to him, Sasuke, a friend or even an innocent. Were sentenced to death, and nothing will change his thought process. He had hoped he could fix this world for the better. But, he had woken up to this reality, and he discovered that not everyone could be saved.
"Room number?" Sasuke asked.
"Five - eleven, this one right here." Naruto replied, walking up and getting ready to open the door.
Sasuke stopped him and pressed his ear against the door. That was when he heard shuffling and muffling cries. Knowing they were running out of time, Sasuke kicked the door, sending the electric sliding door off its rails and sliding across the main room.
"You move and she fucking dies!" Shouted the ganger that was currently hiding behind a badly beaten and nude Sabrina. His gun pressed against her chin, as his other hand was wrapped around her body.
Sasuke ignored the threat and stepped forward. "I told you-" began the ganger again before he stopped speaking.
It was then his hold on Sabrina went slack, and the gun dropped from his hand. Sabrina, seeing her time to escape, bolted out of his grip before looking at the two who saved her afraid.
"Sabrina, it's us." Naruto said, pulling down the half mask and removing the hood to show his smiling face.
The mox seeing the security guards who the Moxes had taken a liking to. Standing there, made her bolt and slam into Naruto. Her sobs came in uncontrollable bursts as she clutched onto Naruto for dear life.
"It's alright, you're fine." Naruto cooed to the mox.
Sasuke only glanced in their direction before walking forward at the Tiger claw who was standing still, his gaze distant and his body unmoving. "Die…" Sasuke whispered.
The Tiger claw stayed staring forward, as he reached down and picked up his gun. Moving it to his chin and pulling the trigger.
Naruto felt Sabrina jump in his arms from the bark of the gun and sighed. He knew Sabrina, she was a delicate thing. A simple sex worker that was just trying to make a living in the fucked up city. She wasn't no true mox, she hid from the first sign of trouble and always tried to be friends with everyone.
He slowly pulled away from the mox and pulled off his heavy long coat and placed it over her shoulders. The girl instantly welcomed the clothing and let Naruto zip it up. The coat that would naturally reach Naruto's thighs, now reaching down to her calves. She was a short thing, standing at five foot three when compared to Sasuke and Naruto's five foot ten.
Sasuke looked back at Naruto, they both nodded at one another and Naruto crouched down to let Sabrina climb on his back and carry her piggyback style. Quickly putting his mask back on as they both walked out the room and back into the hallway that was littered with bodies. It wasn't a scene of a fight, but one of a pure massacre.
As they walked past the bodies, Sasuke crouched down and retrieved the sheaths for his and Naruto's new swords. Putting them both away and holding them with his one arm. They then both made their way down the elevator and to the exit.
Sasuke stuffed the sheaths into his waistband at an awkward angle and pulled out his phone. "Suzie, It's us again, we need someone to come and pick us up a block from here. I'll message you the location." Sasuke didn't wait for a reply as he hung up the phone and quickly typed the address of a place he and Naruto had walked past on the way to Sabrina's.
"Let's delta before someone shows up." Naruto said, with Sasuke to his side.
The two quickly made their way to their pick up location and were thankful that a car stopped in the street in front of them. "Hurry the fuck up!" shouted Rita from the driver seat of a Thornton Galena.
Sasuke hopped into the passenger seat while Naruto carefully placed Sabrina in the back seat before scooting in himself. As soon as the door closed, Rita slammed on the gas, making the tires squeal and race off to the bridge that led them back to Kabuki.
It was only after they fully crossed the bridge, the four occupants in the car let out a deep breath in relief. "What happened to you two? NCPD chatter was going crazy." Rita said, glancing at Sasuke.
"Tiger Claws had control over the building." Sasuke said, removing his mask and deciding not more was needed to be said.
"So, I'm guessing with you two here along with Sabrina, you two flatlined them?" Rita questioned, already guessing what the answer was going to be.
"Yeah, they're all dead." Sasuke answered simply.
~~~SCENE~~
Eyes opened wide and deep breaths erupted from a body in the middle of a hallway. The man tried to sit up, it was then he noticed a weight over him and saw a disfigured and mutilated body over him. The dead man's chest caved in and blood came out from every possible way from his body. He rolled it off himself and looked around as he saw the other gangers around him dead and slaughtered. Their bodies slashed, and even one with a whole through his chest.
The ganger couldn't remember much, only that one moment he was about to be stabbed by the one with one red eye and one purple eye before a body slammed into him and then darkness. But before he was fully unconscious he remembered two distinct sounds. The sound of electricity and wind.
"Raijin and Fujin…" He whispered in fear, the brothers of storms and wind. Where one was the other will come, and wherever they are, then death will always follow.
N/A: How did you all think of the chapter? Please leave a review on what you think and what you would like to see. I wanted to have this chapter just show how Sasuke and Naruto were both settling into the world of cyberpunk. I wanted to really show how their minds are already beginning to corrupt and Naruto's once solid morals were beginning to crack due to the ruthlessness of this new world they are trapped in.
SO please leave a review on what you all thought and what you would like to see in future chapters. Also if you haven't left a favorite and follow, and if you are a bit of a shy person send me a PM and I will be sure to respond.
Now for the reviews:
Park Otsutsuki: I haven't really thought of the DLC, but it will come up in the future. I do know there are some characters within the DLC that would be interesting Pairings. But I don't know if they can compare to the Edgerunners and 2077 base girls.
Kai753337: Oh I have some fun planned with Rebecca. She is a fan favorite in both fanfic and canon so I can't leave her out of having the spotlight at one point.
Riba Nyabom: Their presence will bring both happier endings for some and sad endings for others. Even though they might be gods in terms of power, they can't fix and prevent everything.
False sense of insanity: I don't plan on borging out the two. Honestly there would be no reason to do anything to them as their bodies are better than what any cybernetic can do. Maybe besides an arm, but ya know. Also, I am planning on giving Rebecca some happiness. She really tugged at my heart strings after episode six and nearly broke me on the last episode.
