Smurfocalypse Chapter 81: The Smurf that Fell From the Stars.

It was early morning on this fateful day. So early in the morning in fact, that the majority of the village was still asleep. Archer was on the walls carrying out his shift watching for any sort of threat be it humans or harmful animals when he spotted what looked like a star falling out of the early morning starry sky. The object began to grow in size as it was obviously falling out of the sky. Within moments the object crash landed loudly into the fields outside the port. The impact shook the very Earth and the object immediately caught fire. This event woke Smurfs in the port from their dreams most violently, and Archer immediately got down from the walls and rushed to Hefty's hut.

Hefty was already awake, and was pondering what had happened when Archer ran to him.

"Something crashed into the field and caught fire." Archer said.

"We have to stop the fire before it spreads!" Hefty said.

A bucket brigade was quickly formed and several Smurfs volunteered to fill buckets from the sea as Hefty assembled the knights and went to investigate the crash site. Hefty and the knights were the first to the scene. The fire wasn't so serious that it risked destroying anything just yet, but upon further inspection it appeared there was a Smurf sized being inside the flaming rocket ship.

"Is someone trapped inside?" Sweepy asked.

"It would appear that way." Falconer said.

"I'll investigate. Timber I want you to get Doctor and a stretcher." Hefty said.

"I'm on it!" Timber said as he sprinted off.

Hefty fought back smoke and heat as he bravely investigated the crash. There was indeed a Smurf trapped inside the device. He was slumped over unconscious and the fire was getting closer and closer to consuming him. Hefty pulled open the door to the ship and grabbed the Smurf from inside, laying him safely on the ground.

"A Smurf?" Farmer asked.

"I have no idea what is going on here, but we must help him." Hefty said.

"I agree! No Smurf left behind!" Sweepy said.

The Smurf was wearing a space suit. The glass shielding his face was broken revealing a bloody gash on his head that was bleeding pretty badly. He was unresponsive and nobody present could tell whether he was dead or alive that is until Doctor and Timber arrived at the scene along with the bucket brigade that immediately started putting out the fire.

"How bad is it Doctor?" Hefty asked.

"Hefty… Who even is this?" Doctor asked.

"No idea, but if possible we need to help him." Hefty said.

"I'll see what can be done." Doctor said.

Doctor and Timber put the injured mystery Smurf on the stretcher, and Zarus the falcon picked it up and rushed him to Doctor's clinic as though he were performing an emergency life flight service. Doctor sprinted back to the village to enter his clinic so he could get straight to work on saving his life. Reporter typed up a story about the events of the morning, and in no time every Smurf was talking about the mysterious Smurf that fell from the stars.

"And then a BIG spaceship fell right out of the sky, and CRASHED right into the fields!" Coconut said as she excitedly told Tailor about the story.

"So that's what all the commotion is about then." Tailor said as he sewed.

Tailor was on diaper duty once again, and the next generation needed them badly since baby poop was inevitably happening all over town, so he was working hard busy as always. So busy he had little time for much else. Coconut and Elaeis were stopping by to grab his diapers and it was always a pleasure to spend time with Tailor as far as Coconut was concerned. The day after he was born Elaeis' eyes turned a blood red indicating he was naturally magically gifted. Coconut only knew one other Smurf with such power and that was the now deceased Witchdoctor Smurf. When a baby that was naturally gifted with magic was born they develop a change in eye color in the tropics, and Elaeis is a tropical Smurf. Doctor has already confirmed that Elaeis was perfectly healthy despite this rare occurrence.

"What do you have planned for the rest of the day Coconut?" Tailor asked.

"I'm going to take it easy today I think. I'm just going to spend some quality time with Elaeis. I love this little guy so much." Coconut said.

"I'm glad you're feeling better Coconut. You know I'm really sorry about Dreamy." Tailor said.

"I appreciate that Tailor. Elaeis is really helping me take my mind off things." Coconut said.

"Here you go, a week's worth of diapers for Elaeis."Tailor said handing Coconut the diapers.

Coconut built a section in Elaeis' carriage where she could store things the little guy needed so she could grab them in a pinch.

"I'll talk to you later Coconut. Right now though I am very busy. I have to make diapers for the babies." Tailor said while sewing diapers.

"See ya!" Coconut said as she left his hut.

As she made her way down the street towards Chef's kitchen she saw Mango walking her way. Duck was harnessed to a cart and was waddling behind him pulling it.

"Good morning Mango." Coconut said.

"Morning." Mango said.

"whatcha up to?" Coconut asked.

"Duck and I are heading to work." Mango said.

"Making baskets today?" Coconut asked.

"That's the idea." Mango said.

"Can I have one?" Coconut asked.

"Of course. Stop by this evening." Mango said.

"M'kay!" Coconut said.

The reeds growing around the pond in the forest were perfect for Mango to weave into baskets, and as he worked Duck could safely wade in the pond. It was the perfect job for the both of them. It seemed Mango had finally found something he could do for the village.

"Today I'm going to give you a special treat Elaeis. We're going to try some Smurfberry juice for the first time together." Coconut said as she pushed the carriage.

Elaeis was content in his carriage just taking in the big world surrounding him that he was now a part of. She made her way passed Potter's hut, but Potter was busy sculpting using clay from the pond to create necessities and running his kiln. He was also making glass from sand from the beach. Coconut didn't know Potter all that well so she left him to work and instead entered Chef's hut where Chef was preparing breakfast for the village. It would be time for breakfast very soon so the skilled chef was hard at work, but he smiled when he saw Coconut and Elaeis enter his hut.

"Morning Coconut! You're a little early for breakfast." Chef said.

"I know, but I was wondering if you could get us some Smurfberry juice. I heard it's really good." Coconut said.

"Two Smurfberry juices coming right up." Chef said as he worked.

Coconut wheeled the carriage outside and she sat at a picnic bench outside Chef's kitchen/hut. She took Elaeis out of his carriage and held him lovingly as she hummed a familiar tune all Smurf's sing. They're peace was to be interrupted though by Brainy who had come over to stick his nose in her business.

"No no no! That's not how you properly hold a baby Smurf. I'm going to tell Hefty." Brainy said.

"How am I supposed to hold him?" Coconut asked.

"Like this." Brainy said taking Elaeis out of her arms and holding him the exact same way Coconut was holding him.

"But I was literally holding him the same way!" Coconut said.

Brainy just shook his head.

"It is so obvious that what you were doing was wrong." Brainy said.

"Why do you have to be this way? This is why no Smurf likes you!" Coconut said.

"I'll have you know I have many friends in Port Saint Smurf, and they'll listen to me if I tell them you're not taking proper care of Elaeis." Brainy said with a wave of his finger.

"You're just taller than me so it looks different. Watch." Coconut said as she took Elaeis and held him in the way Brainy deemed proper. Brainy shook his head.

"You're still not doing it right. This isn't good I'm telling Hefty." Brainy said.

"Well TELL him then!" Coconut screams.

Elaeis began to cry and she began rocking him in an attempt to bring back his warm smile. Just then Chef comes out of the hut with two bottles of Smurfberry juice and hears the commotion.

"Brainy! Are you bothering her again?" Chef said.

"Yes!" Coconut said as she comforted Elaeis.

"On the contrary! I was merely giving young Coconut some pointers." Brainy said.

"Threatening to have Hefty take Elaeis away from me is giving me "pointers"? Coconut asked.

"Brainy I thought your advice was what convinced Hefty to allow this. It's just the way things are in her culture. You need to leave the poor girl alone and let her live her life. She's going through a hard time as it is." Chef said.

"And my advice can just as easily have him taken away from her but whatever, when the stork comes and takes Elaeis away you'll be very sorry. Hefty will be angry, and you'll be in a lot of trouble." Brainy said as he walks off.

Chef hands Coconut her bottle of Smurfberry juice and sits Elaeis' on the table.

"Thanks Chef." Coconut said.

"Enjoy the juice, and I'll see you at breakfast." Chef said.

"I'm sure we'll love it." Coconut said.

Coconut was the first to try the juice. She took a small sip and immediately loved it. As a fruit connoisseur this was one of the best fruit juices she had ever tasted. Fresh squeezed Smurfberry juice was amazing. It instantly became her favorite drink even more so than lemonade.

"Oh Elaeis! This is so good!" Coconut said.

Elaeis was still crying but then he stopped once Coconut fed him the juice. It was likely that he was just hungry, but let's not rule out the probable fact that he just simply didn't appreciate the yelling.

"That's good stuff isn't it young chief? Some day when you're big and strong you will have more fruit than any Smurf, and hundreds of Smurfs will adore you just like I do." Coconut said as she fed him.

On the other side of the village Doctor was being swarmed by Reporter. The Smurf was in the clinic doing everything in his power to get Doctor to spill the beans on this juicy new scoop.

"Can you picture the headliner? "The Smurf that fell from the stars"! This will revolutionize The Daily Smurf." Reporter said.

"Reporter I told you several times to leave me be! I don't know who this Smurf is, or where he came from! Now beat it!" Doctor said as he worked on stitching the mystery Smurf's head shut.

"Can you just give a statement on the situation? What are your thoughts? Will the mystery Smurf survive?" Reporter asked.

"That much I can tell you. He will survive he just hit his head." Doctor said.

Just then the mystery Smurf jolts awake, sitting up and gasping as though waking up from a terrible nightmare much to the shock of Doctor and Reporter. It was fortunate that he had already finished stitching him up first.

"W-Where am I?" The Smurf said.

Reporter's eyes widened and he flipped the page of his notebook and put his pencil to the paper.

"What is your name? Where do you come from? What do you like to eat? Tell me everything!" Reporter said.

"My… Name? My name is Jupiter" Jupiter said.

Jupiter looked around the room as though dazed still from his head injury. He then grabs his head and groans as he lays back down in bed.

"Get out Reporter! Before I get Hefty!" Doctor said.

"Fine! I'm going I'm going." Reporter said as he leaves the clinic.

"Jupiter Smurf. We found you this morning clinging to life outside our village. Now we know you're a stranger in these parts, but caring for you is the Smurfy thing to do. I want you to take all the time you need to rest and heal. My name is Doctor Smurf, and I will be your Doctor." Doctor said.

"It's good to meet you Doctor. Where exactly am I?" Jupiter said.

"Port Saint Smurf… in Europe." Doctor said.

Jupiter was dressed in a white suit that Tailor had made, extra clothes they had laying around. Handy had to destroy his spacesuit so that Doctor could properly examine him. He was young around his 170's.

"Hefty will want to meet you eventually." Doctor said.

"Hefty?" Jupiter asked.

"He's our leader. He saved you from the crash." Doctor said.

"The… Crash? Wait! You mean my spaceship is gone!?" Jupiter said.

"It is I'm afraid. Was it important to you?" Doctor asked.

"I got to see the Outer Smurf. It's beautiful up there." Jupiter said.

"Outer Smurf? Are you sure? That sounds like nonsense." Doctor said.

"No it's true! I explored Outer Smurf in my space ship!" Jupiter said.

"Then what caused you to crash?" Doctor asked.

"I… Don't remember." Jupiter said holding his head.

The strange morning in Port Saint Smurf gets even stranger as the mystery of Jupiter Smurf unravels.
