Everything hurts. Mox can barely breathe, much less move, but when he opens his eyes, it's to find Seth collapsed next to him, unmoving, Darkness Bagramon hovering overhead, a hungry look on his face as he digs a claw deeper into Aegisdramon. Mox groans, slams a fist down into the dirt and forces himself up. Casts a quick, cursorry glance over Seth's slack features and then gets to his feet, cursing all the way.
Darkness Bagramon's attention is claimed by this, and he looks up to find Mox stumbling towards him. "What, do you believe you can stop me?" he asks. "When all of your other digidestined failed? There were so many of them, and only one of you. What chance could you truly have, I wonder?"
Mox grits his teeth and stands as tall as he's able to, despite the pure, bitter agony that he's in. "I guess we'll just have to find out."
"Or," Darkness Bagramon says, flicking his fingers and sending Mox toppling back over with a sudden wave of dark energy. "I could just destroy you all right here, right now." Before Mox can try to clamber back up onto his feet, smothering pressure digs into his spine, presses him down into the dirt, and all he can do is gasp uselessly, unable to breathe, or think, or do anything as he's slowly crushed under the weight of it all.
He thinks he hears a yell in the distance but can't look to investigate. Can't do anything but sink down into unconsciousness.
