Mox is laying in bed, staring up at the ceiling, lost in thought while Petitmon floats around his body, cooing and mumbling to itself. Things in the digiworld are on pause, at least for now, because Luke had instructed them to go home after the defeat of Dark Bagramon. He doesn't exactly miss that world, or the danger of being within it, but there's something... fulfilling about being involved, saving the world, knowing that his actions there are bleeding through into this world, affecting the lives of the people here, those important to him depending on his saving the other world to save this one.

But there's more, he admits, and it's something he gets to experience even more rarely. The bond between he and Seth, how their digimon fit together, fuse into the powerful form of Aegisdramon, how it bleeds adrenaline through him, leaves him determined, focused on the defeat of whatever enemy is trying to rid the world of both of them. He drums his fingers against the mattress, remembering again and again the pulse of energy, how it felt to be joined together with Seth, their opposing forces powering their digimon, leading them, their groups, to success. To defeating the evil threatening to destroy both worlds.

He breathes and rolls over, closing his eyes, breathing deeply, when there's a shallow beep from inside his pocket. He frowns, fishes the digivice out of his jeans and squints at it as he lifts it to his face. He expects Luke. He expects the summons back to the digiworld, to finally begin the hunt for Ziggler, who had been left there when they were ordered to leave. But no, the digivice is thrumming a bright red, and it... it's Seth face that greets him, looking as surprised as Mox feels. "Uh," he says intelligently, the two of them gaping at each other. "What are you doing in my digivice?"

"I'm wondering the same thing," Seth says. "Since when has this become a messaging device?"

Mox shrugs. "Is this a message?"

"Yeah," Seth says. "I'm still at my house."

"So am I," Mox says, casting a quick glance around the room.

"Well, add that to the list of things to talk to Luke about whenever we see him again, I guess," Seth muses.

"What a long list that is becoming," Mox says with a bitter laugh.

"You are not wrong," Seth sighs. "Well, this will make it easier to communicate when we're in trouble in the dgiworld, I guess."

"That is true."

The two of them sit quietly for awhile, digesting all of the possibilities, until Mox finally turns his focus back onto the screen where Seth's face is still gleaming. "So. Whatcha been up to?"

Seth blinks back at him, then huffs out a laugh.
