Dagomon eases slowly from the water, Duke tangled up in his tentacles, dangling dangerously just above the sand. He stares warningly at the Digidestined, twisting more tightly around Duke's prone body. "You do not belong here," he tells them.

"Let go of Duke," Thea says, clenching her fist in Andre's vest as he holds her back, keeping her from making things worse by going into the water after Dagomon. "He wasn't doing anything to you."

"He trespassed on my territory," Dagomon says calmly, lifting Duke up even higher. "For that reason alone, you have no say here."

"He's our friend," Thea insists, still fighting off Andre's grip. "That gives us all the reason to fight to get him back!"

"He barely seems to tolerate you," Dagomon observes, squeezing him tighter until he makes a faint noise of distress. "He was doing his best to escape you all when he began stomping through my area." He lifts Duke higher and stares at him. "You humans, such strange creatures. Never considerate of anyone else, thinking it's fine to just impose on us. We never wanted you here, nor did we need you here, and yet you pretend like you are the saviors of the Digiworld. The last thing the Dark Ocean needs is more of the same."

Thea looks like she's going to continue arguing her point when Andre forces her behind him, stepping forward. "I'm responsible for him, he's my student. If you're going to punish anyone, punish me."

Dagomon turns towards them, blinking slowly, seemingly disinterested with discussing it further. "You?" he asks, sounding bored with the prospect. He casts one more, searching glance over Duke's prone form before tossing him towards Andre and Thea, more of his tentacles snaking out from the water and snagging Andre by the ankles, dragging him up until they're eye to eye, Andre exhaling sharply as dizziness overwhelms him at being held upside down like this. "This is what you wanted, then?"

Thea struggles to get free from Duke's tall form, her eyes wide as she tries to see through the gloom to the choppy water. "Mr. Chase!" she cries out for her teacher. "MR. CHASE!"

All she can do is gasp for air, horrified and agape as Dagomon disappears under the water, Andre tangled up in his hold.
