Ricardo smiles, softly, peeking in at the still fast asleep AJ and Sara, before holding his finger to his lips and taking Alicia's hand, joining Mike in the living room as he spends time with his new son- running his fingers over the smooth, soft skin of the baby's cheek, along the creases of his chubby fists. "Good morning," he whispers, and Mike looks up with a soft smile.
"Morning," he says quietly, and Ricardo and Alicia sit down nearby, Ricardo's touch gentle as he smooths the baby's onesie down. "How are you guys?"
"Good," Ricardo whispers, Alicia nodding in agreement as she lightly touches the baby's small fingers. "He's adorable, Mike."
Mike grins. "I know," he says with all of the adoration and love in the world as he looks down at the little boy. "And you already know it, don't you, George?" he coos, hoisting the baby up and hugging him close, lightly rubbing his back. "Yeah..."
They're still sitting there, getting their fill of newborn baby in the quiet lull of the morning in the early hours, when Sara starts calling. "Mommy, Daaadddy, little brother," she sings and Ricardo chuckles.
"I'll go-"
"No, no," Mike says softly. "Thanks, though, but AJ and I are trying to spend as much time with her as we can whenever this little guy gives us a minute, so she doesn't get confused or sad. Do you mind taking him for a little bit so I can go to her?"
Ricardo's eyes widen. "Of course I don't mind," he says, taking the baby from Mike and holding him the way he used to hold his niece and nephew. "Well, hello, George," he says softly as the baby stretches his little fists out and makes a protesting whimpering noise.
"It's ok, honey, you're safe," Alicia tells the baby and smiles when he relaxes into Ricardo's hands, blinking slowly up at her.
"I think he likes you," Ricardo chuckles.
"Well, the feeling is very mutual," she says with a soft smile, gently dancing her fingers over the baby's upperbody.
Ricardo smiles at her, struck once more over how good of a mother she'll be someday. He adjusts the baby and leans in to her, searching her eyes for a moment. "I can't wait to have children with you," he tells her, and she lights up, cupping his face with a shaking hand, leaning in to kiss him.
"I can't wait either," she shares and he grins, eager to go try again, but George needs them so they silently agree to a raincheck and turn back to the softly fussing baby in Ricardo's arms, listening to Mike play sing with Sara as she gets dressed for the day.
