Meeting of the Gods and a new adventure

Hiccups POV:

I was once again wondering through the streets of Athens. People stopping to glance in my direction, or whispering behind their hands, and some of the local girls giving me affectionate looks, attempting to flirt with me as I continued my walk to the forge belonging to Aetees. My task was simple, in that I needed to tell him that within a weeks' time, I would be departing Athens. As i reached the forge, Aetees was busying himself with sharpening the head of a javelin, eyes focused on the task as I entered before catching his attention, causing him to stop and turn his attention to me with a smile.

"Well, the conquering hero returns from his travels once more. Did the trip go well? Bring back any golden apples?" I laughed a bit.

"No, I didn't bring back any golden apples. The last thing I wanna do is anger the Gods by stealing from them."

"Alright, then did you do anything interesting on this trip?"

"Eh... not really, just a few fights here and there." Aetees merely raised an eyebrow before chuckling.

"Uh huh... I can tell you've been busy. I can tell from the look in your eyes."

"Um... I can honestly say it was definitely one of my more active adventures..." Aetees shook his head, pulling up a chair as he smiled to me.

"Oh really? Then you're not leaving this forge until you tell me everything about this adventure, got it?" I sighed, smiling as I pulled up a chair, and began regaling him with the insanity and excitement of the trip beginning with my first fight.

2 hours later

After two hours of nonstop questions, answers and storytelling I had finally finished telling of the tale of my latest adventure to what people were starting to call my labors. The reason it took so long though was because my arrival back in Athens brought attention to the people, especially the children who wanted to hear of my latest adventure and kept stopping me so they could ask questions. However I didn't mind the little ones asking me questions, the only thing that I did mind was how some of the girls who had been flirting with me, trying to cuddle up closer while I told everyone what I had done on my latest expedition. When I had finished Aetees much to my joy sent everyone on their way so we could get some peace in the forge. Once everyone had left he turned to me as he crossed his arms and cocked eyebrow.

"Alright Heracles I can tell you want to talk to me about something so what is it?"

"Well my friend I've been here in Greece for weeks now and I believe it's time for me to leave and return to my own land."

"Really now? I thought there was something keeping you here for some reason." I simply shrugged.

"I just have this feeling that my time here in Greece has come to an end for now." He smiled at me before placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Well if that is the case then please stay till this evening. My family would very much like to meet you, especially my father would like to have a chat with the great Heracles. Do you think you could meet them tonight?" I nodded to him.

"I think I could do that." He smiled before we got to work on the weapons.

Soon the day gave way to night as the billows which heated the coals that we used to melt the iron cooled allowing us the chance to close the shutters of the windows. I put the swords which had yet to have their handles wrapped in leather into the storage room. I came back to see Aetees standing by the windows most likely waiting for me to finish putting the stuff away so we could go. I smiled at him and said.

"So shall we get going Aetees?"

"Yes let's go Heracles." He put a hand on my shoulder.

"Or should I call you Hiccup?"

I felt my eyes widen before there was a bright flash which forced me to close my eyes for a few seconds until the light had died down enough for me to reopen them. When I opened them I found myself looking down a hallway made completely of marble with built in marble stands with metal torches lighting the way. I turned around to find myself looking at a cloud covered terrain with marble temples sticking out from underneath them. It was then I heard laughter behind me. I turned around to see Aetees smiling at me before he asked.

"Impressed?"

"Aetees where the heck are we?"

"The top of mount Olympus. Home of the Gods!"

"Why?"

"I told you my family wanted to meet you and now that we're here I think it best that you called me by my real name."

He then spun around and began to change before my very eyes. When he stopped spinning gone was the bald man with a black beard I had come to call my friend and in his place was long brown haired man with a large beard, a blind eye and deformed feet wearing a leather toga which was draped over one shoulder which covered the full body bronze armor he wore underneath it. I could literally feel my mouth hang open before I asked.

"Who are you?" He just chuckled.

"I am Hephaestus! Greek God of blacksmiths, metalworking, carpenters, craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, metallurgy, fire and volcanoes." It took all my will power not to faint hearing this but I still wanted to know why he brought me here.

"Why did you bring me here?" He once again just chuckled

"Like I said before my family wants to meet you. The mortal warrior who has impressed not only the king of the Greek gods but king of the Norse gods and trust me when I say it takes a lot to impress Odin."

"You communicate with the Norse gods?"

"Of course we do. We communicate with all the other gods but we mostly stick to our own lands and people."

"Then what does Zeus want with me?"

"Odin told us about you and said we should keep an eye on you since we might be impressed by you. He was right and with how you've helped our people with the tasks you've accomplished we wanted to speak with you face to face." He then made his way down the hall with me following.

When we reached the end of the hall we entered a large circular room. Formed in a circle were marble thrones each on their own marble stands except for one which was a black stone throne which rested at the back against what I assume was the top of the mountain, the floor looked to be a complete model of Greece with clouds floating above the land and everything, tall windows with marble columns circles the entire room and behind the thrones rested flaming metal torches. (AN: Think of the room the gods met in in the movie 'clash of the titans') My eyes went over those people resting in the thrones each wearing armor which just seemed to shine as bright as the sun itself. My eyes were then drawn to the person standing in the middle of the room smiling at me. It was the elderly man who I had spoken with before in a few of my adventures. He most likely saw the confusion on my face to why he was here since he said.

"I take many forms child."

He then spun like Hephaestus did before he transformed into a bearded man with long brown hair in armor that seemed to be made out of the stars themselves with how much light it reflected. He smiled down at me before raising his arms to the side and said.

"I am Zeus!"

Hearing this I immediately fell down to my knees in a bow before the king of the Greek gods to which he chuckled.

"There is no need for you bow Hiccup for you have earned both my gratitude and respect through your accomplishments in the land of my mortals."

"I understand lord Zeus but why have you brought me here. Is this about me freeing the titan Prometheus from your punishment?"

"No! In fact I am grateful for you freeing him for you see I feared what the mortals would do with fire so I punished him for giving it to them but when I saw how much it has helped them I regretted imprisoning Prometheus. My pride however would not allow me to release him and for that I am grateful to you for freeing him." I just nodded

"If you are not mad at me then why have you summoned me here if I may ask?"

"You are welcome to ask anything you wish Hiccup. As for the reason for us bringing you here we wish to reward you for your deeds which shall be remembered for eternity."

"I appreciate the sentiment but I can't accept anything. I was just trying to do the right thing and most of the time it was just self-defense."

"Never the less we cannot ignore such heroics and for that we give you these gifts." He took out a glass orb from behind his back and handed it to me allowing me to see a small island floating in what seemed to be the ocean inside.

"In this orb is an island which shall grow to full size when the orb is thrown into the ocean. On this island anything you plant will flourish since from what Odin has told me you have grown quite the garden. There is also an active volcano which shall never erupt but there is a gift waiting for you there at the top. This island possesses many other gifts but those you will have to find yourself." I nodded before Hapheastus stepped forth with what looked like a blue owl made of metal.

"This is an automaton of Athena's owl Bubo which I gave to the hero Perseus to aid him in his journey but now he is no longer in need of it."

"Thank you Lord Hephaestus"

"Don't mention it. I also gave him a few improvements but those you'll have to find out for yourself my friend."

Bubo then gave a small hoot before he flew from his perch on Hephaestus's hands and landed on my shoulder before letting out another small then put his hand on my shoulder and said.

"One last gift we give you here is our full blessing."

All the gods stood up and pointed the palms of their hands at me before I fell to my knees and grit my teeth in pain as I grasped my right arm. It felt as if my entire arm was being ripped completely off piece by piece and then engulfed in the flames of a deadly nadder. Then just as quickly as it had come it had disappeared as if it was never there. I slowly stood up and looked up to Zeus who was looking down at me before he said.

"We have given you our blessing. You will never be able to die on Greek soil but that does not make you invulnerable so you can still be hurt." I simply nodded. "Now it is time for us to send you back to the mortal realm and you shall have no more trouble when you leave Greece to return to Berk and at your ship rests your final gifts." I nodded before there was once again a bright flash and when I opened my eyes I was once again in the forge but this time I was alone.

6 days later

I was once again on my ship but this time when we tried to get away from Greece we were successful in making it out to sea and this time we had a third dragon with us along with another friend in the water. The Kholkikos Dragon was with us now when I found him waiting with Scaulder at the beach where I normally dock my ship. I knew he would be a more than capable guard dragon since he never needed to sleep and was the dragon responsible for guarding the golden fleece until Jason and the remaining Argonauts were able to get it after putting him to sleep using a potion given to them by Medea. When he awoke he discovered the fleece missing and in turn had lost his purpose. They left me a note carved into a tablet saying they saw how much I loved dragons and decided that I would be able to look after him along with a message telling me to collect his teeth that fell out and that if I sow them then they would grow into spartoi warriors. I didn't believe it at first but if there's one thing I've learned in Greece it's that anything is possible if the horse with the lower body of fish swimming next to my ship was any indication. As for a description of him he had blue scales which were dark blue on the top and light blue on the bottom with a row of spikes going sown either side, a row of light blue spines going down his back, a set of wings like a monstrous nightmares, five horns on either side of his head, a small helmet like form of scales with a horn on top of his head, he lacked any legs except the wings he had so the rest of the his body was that of a serpent and his tail ended with four spikes. (AN:googlecolchian dragon and go to images it will be the blue one around the tree or look it up on . )

Another gift I had received was from the god of the sea Poseidon who gave me one of his prized Hippocampus who had the uncanny ability to find old shipwrecks if the message on the tablet from Poseidon was any indication. He was also pretty fun and I knew he would come in handy in the future when it comes to my searches for sunken treasure. I had given my new dragon the name Damen which in Greek meant divine power while my new hippocampus the name Kal which in Greek meant most beautiful since the way he swam through the waters and just looked as the sun shone down on him was indescribably beautiful.

On my last day in Athens I got a few extra things which now rested in my storage room on my ship along with the trophies from my travels. They had sent me off with eleven white marble reliefs depicting my fights as best they could which still looked pretty good. I also still had a ton of Greek drachmas, multiple Greek made weapons and armour such as spears, swords, shields and helmets since I admired the fine metalwork that had gone into the Greeks metalwork. I also had one hydra skull which had been dipped in melted silver from a nobleman sent from Argos to deliver it to me before I left. He said it was from the rulers who wanted me to have something besides the blood to remember the great deed I had done for them.

Around my neck was a golden pendant with an image of Hermes kerykeion on it with one snake having a ruby eye while the other had an emerald eye. This amulet was my final gift from the Greek gods for what I've done. Hermes delivered it to me personally and said it was the secret to how he got around so fast and asked if I thought he was just able to run around the world in a second. We both had a laugh at that joke since I actually did believe that before I met him. The way it worked was I pressed it hard against a surface and the amulet would begin to heat up and burn the kerykeion into the surface like a brand except instead of black the marking is silver and glows when it's being used. To use it I have to hold my hand on the marking I made while focusing on it before a door forms on the surface and inside a simple circular black marble room with another door leading to the other markings. I could easily tell which door lead to where since the doors seemed to be made of glass so I could see where they lead to. I learnt all this when Hermes demonstrated using my ship and a small mountain near Athens as the two points and had me try it. When I walked through the doors it felt like I was walking through water but came out completely dry and arrived at the area as if it was just walking through a door. In order for me to set up a new door in another area I would first need to receive the blessing of the local gods of the area. I would know when I had the gods blessing when the ruby and emerald glow and the snakes begin to hiss.

I did get a visit from another god with a gift for me as I was packing away my supplies. He came out of the forest playing the pan flute but the thing that drew our attention most to him was how the plants seemed to be following him and how he was a satyr. He told me that he was the demigod Pan and had a gift for me before I left. He tossed me a pan flute and a small bag before he said.

"Play the flute to your plants and they will flourish far beyond your expectations, play it after replanting them and they'll take to the soil as if they were grown there, play it for the seeds and they'll begin to blossom and grow but will still take time to fully mature. As for the seeds in the bag, well you'll just have to wait and see what they grow into and don't let Hera find out. She'll kill me if she found out!" I nodded before he left playing his flute.

I knew one thing to be true and that was when I get home I was not going on any trips for a very long time since I had my fill of adventures for a long time. Seriously I met the gods of this land and got my own island all because of my near death adventures which turned out to be tests set up by the gods which doubled as helping the mortals of the lands. I'm still surprised I'm still alive after all that but I did walk away with various treasures, multiple trophies, a way to travel to foreign places faster, new ideas for inventions, my own island and a the blessing of the local gods which came with a tattoo that circled around my upper right arm which appeared when I just focused and clenched my fist. I now had a lot of work to do such as building a new home on my new island after exploring it a bit, mapping it out, making a list of the resources, helping my dragons and animals settle in, moving in all my stuff into my new place once it was built, etc. Besides I could use some time to myself just to enjoy life and catch up on a few of my projects that I've delayed because of my travels. I knew one thing to be true and that I was looking forward to getting home.

2 weeks later

We had finally arrived home after two weeks at sea and by Odin was I happy to be home as were my dragons since Toothless literally pranced around the ship as Berk came into sight as Scaulder sped up with Kal speeding up as well to keep up with him. I chuckled at how playful Kal which was expected since Hippocampus' have been said to be very playful and very loyal. I smiled as we slowly pulled into the cave and docked in the unloading dock before I let the gangplank down but the second I did my wolves pounced on me and began to lick my face as I laughed. When they got off I was once again pounced on but this time it was by my jaguars before my monkeys followed by hopping on my chest and jumping up and down on it while screeching. I chuckled and the second they all got off I was nearly drowned by my dragons who proceeded to lick and nuzzle me all together which completely covered me in head to toe in saliva. I knew I would need to clean off my sailing armour before I use it again which I'm pretty sure would take a while since dragon saliva takes forever to get out. For now though I had some new animals and a dragon to help settle into their new homes. Then I had a whole lot of stuff to unload and put away for now before heading to the village and telling everyone that has happened.

3 hours later

It took me a while but I was finally done helping my new animals and dragon settle into their new living arrangements. Kal was playing with the tidal class dragons. Maelstrom was accepted into my wolves pack after I showed them he meant no harm and he ran back into my ship before returning with some dried meat in both his mouths which he dropped onto the ground and used his muzzles to push it towards Shadow and Bidzill most likely seeing them as the two alpha males of the pack. After that they accepted him into the pack as one of their own. I was planning of having Diggs dig out a new den for Damen in the dragon pens but then I remembered Damen doesn't sleep so I allowed him to fly around and explore the lair. My new cattle were with my yaks enjoying the grazing ground I had made for my livestock before I left.

I had stopped by Glacia's cove to greet her which resulted in me getting covered head to toe in frost from her breathing on me. After I shook it all off I Hopped onto one of her tusks which had grown more than large enough for me to walk on and ran up to her face and hug it. She crooned in comfort as I told her how much I had missed her while I was away. It felt good to be able to hold her once more since I felt some sort of connection with her like I did with Toothless only this one was a little different somehow. I didn't know why though but I'm guessing it was because I was there when she hatched and entered this world. I smiled at the memory of seeing her face for the first time looking around the cave in curiosity to the new world she had just hatched into.

In the vault my drachmas were safely put away along with the various other treasures I had gathered from Greece before I left. All the books, scrolls and maps I had gathered from Athens and the other places I visited were now in the library which was now half filled with all the books, scrolls and maps I've gathered in time. All the Greek weapons I gathered were now on racks in the armoury except for my hydra blood arrows which were now in the vault with the jugs of hydras blood since the last thing I wanted was for that stuff to fall into the wrong hands or any of my animals or dragons to accidently touch the stuff. I had put the helmets I gathered in my art gallery on their own pedestal since there were so many types of Greek helmets and they were each a piece of art in their own way.

My reliefs were in my trophy room embedded in the walls like my Mayan calendar but in front of each of them on pedestals were the trophies I got from the adventures and the occasional item I got along the way. In front of the relief depicting me strangling the Nemean lion rested the pelt which was spread out and over it was the chain I used to strangle it along with the claw I used to skin it. The one depicting my battle with the hydra had the skull resting in front of it facing away from the relief. The relief depicting me wrestling the Ceryneian hind to the ground and resting on the pedestal in front of it was the arrow the Greek goddess Artemis shot at me when she thought I was trying to kill her hind and wanted me to have it as a memory of the event. The relief depicting my capture of the Erymanthian boar with the skull of said boar facing away from the relief and in front of the skull lay a map of the stars I had made after the night I spent with Chiron. The relief depicting me cleaning out the stables rested in the wall next to it since the only trophies I brought back from that trip was the cattle. In front of the relief depicting my battle with the Stymphalian birds in a glass case were the feathers I collected all circling around the krotala's with their quills facing them. In front of the relief showing me wrestling the bull to the ground was the bronze bust of Cretan bulls head I got as a reward for my deed. The relief showing me stealing the mares had a large and wide pedestal in front of it with the six helmets I got from King Diomedes guards with three on either side of the pedestal with the mares bridles in the middle. The next relief depicted more than just my battle with Hippolyte but my battle against the giants as well. Hanging one the wall under the relief was the spear I got from my battle with the giants and under it a pedestal with the shied I got from the Argonauts and Hippolyta's belt. Then there was my relief depicting my fight against Geryon and Orthros with Geryons shields resting in front, the spears above them and helmets on top of the shields. Then there was the relief depicting my journey to the garden of Hesperides and on the pedestal in front of it was the horn of Kyknos, the helmets of Busiris and his guards and the amulet Atlas gave me. The blacksmith hammer I received on the trip was in the forge hung up on the wall safely where it belonged from now on.

Now I was going to the village to see everyone since there is no doubt they're all wondering where I am and probably wondering what happened to me. I decided to bring Maelstrom with me since there is no doubt with him around they might actually believe me when I tell them what I've been up to in Greece. I also had my new island in my satchel to show them since they might not believe me if I didn't have it as proof. I saw that it was it was getting close to lunch so it was most likely everyone was heading to the great hall to get something to eat meaning I should use the secret tunnel to the side of the great halls outside. I walked over to Diggs and after a quick scratch and request to take me down the tunnels that lead to the outside the great hall we were on our way.

We arrived at the outside of the Great hall shortly. Once we arrived I gave Diggs a quick scratch on the nose before I made my way towards the Great hall with Maelstrom at my side. I looked through the crack of the door to see how many people were inside the great hall at this time and found everyone from the tribe at tables eating and talking. I smiled before pushing the doors open and walking in but everyone was too busy with they're lunch and chats to notice me. I stuck to the wall to avoid being spotted as I made my way to the table where my dad was having lunch with Gobber and Spitelout. I walked up behind Gobber and listened as he said.

"Ya' know I wonder when Hiccup will get back from his trip. He's been gone for weeks and I could really use another delivery of gronkle iron." I walked up behind him and leaned up next to his ear and whispered.

"Good to hear I'm missed."

He literally jumped up right out of his chair before turning around, grabbing me and holding his hook hand over his head ready to run me through. I even pulled out my sword to block it as I yelled.

"GOBBER IT'S ME YOUR OLD APPRENTICE HICCUP! DON'T CHOP ME!"

When he saw it was me he lowered his hook and yelled. "Hiccup!" and engulfed me in a hug. Of course when he yelled my name it attracted the attention of everyone in the Great hall. This lead to me being swarmed by villagers but Maelstrom growled with one head and barked with the other. This got everyone's attention and made them all back away slowly as I kneeled down next to Maelstrom and rubbed his back before I turned to everyone and said.

"Funny thing! My pal here isn't the strangest thing I've seen on my trip just one of the strangest things I brought back." Everybody just kept staring and I knew this meant I was going to be here a while.

2 hours later

I had finally finished telling everyone about my trip to Greece and the looks on their faces by the end was absolutely priceless. When I was done though Gothi walked up and pulled me to my knees before she began to examine me, going so far to pull out my tongue and examine it. I'm guessing that she believed I was ill and I can honestly say I don't blame her since the things I did in Greece were pretty unbelievable. When she was done she took a step back before looking up at me and just stared at me with wide eyes before she started writing on the ground. Gobber walked over to translate what she was saying but when he finished going over it he looked at me slackjawed and said.

"She says he's telling the truth about everything." I just shrugged.

"Trust me Gobber if there's one thing I've learned is that there are some strange things in this world and we just have to get used to it. Besides I got some great souvenirs from my trip." My father then stepped in.

"Either way Hiccup you are not going on any more of these adventures of yours for a long time."

"I couldn't agree with you more. After that trip I have had my fill of adventure for a long time and besides I have another project to work on." I then begun to make my way to the door as Gobber asked.

"What project is this Hiccup?" I turned towards him.

"Setting up my new island." My dad stepped forward.

"You found your own island?" I looked at him.

"No the Greek Gods gave me my own island to set up where ever I like for my services to their people."

"Hiccup have you been drinking?"

"Trust me dad I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't gone through everything I did in Greece. Besides I have it with me right now."

I reached into my satchel and pulled out the orb with my island in it before I held it out for them to look at. My dad took it out of my hand and looked over it before he passed it to Gobber who began to examine it. Gothi then took it and examined it carefully turning the orb in her hand and staring intently at it as if it would vanish if she took her eyes off it. Once she was done examining it she handed it over to me with a nod. I smiled at her before I said.

"Well now that that's out of the way I have an island to raise from the sea."

Before I made my way to the exit but before I reached it I felt a hand land on my shoulder. I turned to see Gobber looking down at me before he said.

"Hold it lad! Are you sure this will even work and even if it does do you know where you'll set it up?"

"I put a lot of thought into it on the way back to Berk. I've decided on an area close to Berk so transporting all my stuff won't take too long and it won't take too long for me to drop off the gronkle iron shipments." Gobber nodded before my dad stepped forward.

"If you really plan to go through with this I'd like to witness you raising this island for myself." I nodded.

"Then be at the docks tomorrow morning and have a ship ready. I'm setting it up then and I'd rather not wait."

He nodded before I walked out the great hall and made my way to the forest but before I could reach it I was stopped by the teens with Snotlout and the twins each holding a box. Maelstrom growled at them using both his heads which made them much to my relief back up a bit. Snotlout offered the box he had and the twins did the same before he said.

"Hey Hiccup me and the twins were going through all our old stuff and found some of the things we borrowed from you and thought that it was about time we gave them back to you." I took the box and looked at them with a cocked eyebrow.

"First of all you didn't borrow this stuff you stole it from me after either beating me or throwing me off Trader Johans ship. Second of all why are you giving me my stuff back since you never do anything nice without expecting something in return." Snotlout put a hand to his chest.

"Do you really think so little of us that we can't do something nice just to be nice?" I just cocked an eyebrow.

"Nice try but Gobber already informed me of your little attempt to find my place and steal my stuff along with finding out how to train dragons."

"Oh come on Hiccup you got to teach us how to get our own dragons. Heck just imagine how good I'd look with my own dragon. The babes would be lining up to see me." The twins then stepped in with Tuffnut saying.

"And just imagine all the destruction me and Ruff could do." Ruff then stepped up to me and rubbed a hand over my chest as she said.

"Ignore him and focus on how hot you and me could make it if you'd let me ride with you."

Maelstrom actually tried to take a bite out of her leg with one of his heads. Fortunatley she moved her leg before his powerful jaws could sink into her leg and possibly break it off. I smiled and rubbed his heads making a mental note to give him an extra piece of dried meat when we got home. Fishleggs then stepped forward and said.

"Come on Hiccup! Please teach us. You can't keep all that dragon knowledge to yourself!" I just shook my head before Astrid stepped forward and said.

"Oh come on you caused a ton of damage to the village over the years including to some of our huts. The least you could do is show us how to ride dragons and make our lives a little easier."

"It was the twins who were responsible for the damages since they're the ones who messed with my inventions. Now leave me alone I have a lot of work to do."

"You really think that island in a ball will actually turn into a full sized island?"

"I have faith and besides. If you've seen what I have you would have faith in it to."

I then gathered up the crates which held my stolen possessions before I pushed my way through them and into the forest with Maelstrom at my side. As we walked towards the nearest entrance to the tunnels I looked down at the top box that I was balancing on the other two boxes. The top part was covered by the old bear fur cloak Snotlout stole from me when we were kids. I realised this meant that these boxes most likely held some of my old childhood memories. This just meant I had a lot of things to do when I got home, starting with going through all this stuff. I also had to start drawing up plans for my new place on my island since I knew I had to first explore the island and check out what the gods left me by the volcano.

Morning

I was now waiting with Toothless at the dock with my satchel holding my island in the orb looking out for my dad since he's the one who wanted to see me let my island be raised from the water while my other dragons with my animals were waiting at the location where the island was to go. I knew he just wanted to make sure it was close to Berk so he would have an easy time finding me but I wanted it to be close to Berk so I would have an easy time transporting my stuff. As I looked out at the ocean I couldn't help but look forward to having my own island which I would hopefully grow my own different environments like my own rainforest like the Mayan jungle or my own desert like in Egypt. I know it would be better for some of my animals to be in their own native environments but it would take a while to grow it. Fortunately I have nothing but time on my hands so I would be able to do it and with my amulet allowing me to travel to different places I would be able to gather building materials easily. It was then I heard multiple footsteps on the dock behind me. I turned towards the sound of the footsteps and saw not only my father approaching but Gobber, Spitelout, the teens, Silent Sven, Bucket, Mulch, Gothi and a few other Vikings. I cocked an eyebrow at my father when he stopped in front of me. He just looked down at me and said.

"They all wanted to see if this island of yours would really rise from the ocean and I figured a few more witnesses wouldn't hurt." I sighed before turning around.

"Get everyone onto the ship and we'll get going."

They all just started talking as they boarded the ship while I mounted Toothless and had him prepare to take off. Once I saw everyone was on the ship, ready to go me and Toothless took to the air so we could go to the location I wanted my island to be. The location I had decided on would only take five minutes to arrive at by ship and only a few seconds by dragon. I believe that I could actually build a bridge from my island to Berk if I wanted but I would still need time to think about that. For now however I could just focus on setting up my island and then making my new home.

We finally arrived at the area I wanted to set my island up but before I could even get the orb out of my satchel my father signalled me to come down to the ship. I rolled my eyes wondering what he wanted since he's the one who wanted to be there when I let my island out of the orb. I had Toothless fly down to the ship and land on the deck so I could see what my dad wanted. I looked at him and asked.

"Okay dad what's the problem?"

"I just wanted to know if you really think this is the right place for you to set up an island and are you sure you want to set up your own island and not just move back into the village."

"Dad Seriously I won't be that far from the village, I'll be able to be there in seconds if something is wrong and I have too much stuff for a single hut in the village."

"Hiccup it's just you moving off Berk is a big step."

"Dad I know it's a big step but just think of the benefits like more land for farming, Mildew won't be able to complain about my dragons always being around, my animals get more land to run in without trouble and we can build a bridge connecting the two islands. Just think of this as an extension of Berk okay." He let out a sigh.

"Alright son. You've sold me! Let's get on with this madness." Spitelout then stepped forward and said.

"I doubt this'll actually work and if it does I'll eat the underwear Gobber is wearing right now."

I nodded after shivering at the thought of anyone eating Gobbers underwear knowing him. I then just looked at everyone looking at me with their arms crossed expectantly. I knew they were all waiting for me to start so I decided I should be getting started. I turned back to Toothless before getting back on him and taking off.

When we were over the exact spot I wanted us to be and surrounded by my dragons I looked around at them and smiled as I had Toothless start to hover. I took out the orb along with a dagger to pierce the glass. I held the orb up and punctured it with the blade making the water start squirting out before I dropped it into the ocean below. We waited three minutes and it was just as I noticed the Jorgenson's preparing to complain the water began to ripple and multiple bubbles started to rise out of the water as if it were boiling. Then all of a sudden a mountain began to rise from the water making the ship begin to rock as an island began to rise out of the water before our very eyes. After two minutes a whole new island had risen from the sea. I landed on the ship where everyone was staring at my new island but I couldn't blame them. I turned to look at my dad before saying.

"Well dad it looks like I was right. This means that I now have a lot of work to do and Spitelout has a meal to enjoy." He shook his head.

"What?"

"Well I have to do a recon of my island and draw up plans for what I intend to do on it while Spitelout said that should my little raising an island from the orb work he would eat Gobbers underwear?"

Spitelout looked sick remembering this but I just smiled at him before turning back to face my new island. I saw the large volcano letting smoke come out from its top and as I stared at it I couldn't help but wonder what surprises the gods had left me up there along with what secrets my new island held. I knew one thing to be true and that my adventures in Greece may be over for now my adventures here at home were just beginning.

AN: Hey guys I hope you enjoyed the new chapter and the new style I'm working with. The other chapters will remain up but once they've been altered their new versions will be posted as they come along. Just so you know the next chapter will focus on Hiccup exploring, studying and working on his new island then the following chapters will loosely follow the T.V. series so we'll be bringing in The Outcasts and Berserkers. Also if you have any ideas what Hiccups surprises could be please PM me. Also remember to vote on the polls which will close this Sunday and be replaced with another one. Please be nice with the reviews.
