Chapter 54

Hiccups POV:

It's been four weeks since the defeat of Madhimaran and to say those four weeks have been busy would be a major understatement since we had a mess that was two years in the making to clean up. First thing we did was bring the royals back from my ship and as expected they demanded to know everything that had happened which resulted in me and Kadar spending over an hour telling them everything while also answering all their questions. After that we had to help explain to all the people who were enslaved what happened since when they came out of it, not one of them remembered a single thing besides looking at the ruby before seeing nothing but darkness. I have to say it was not fun to explain to the woman why they were all dressed in a way that left so little to the imagination and why their children were dressed as palace slaves. By the end of it I was surprised all the screaming, crying and yelling they did when they found out what had happened didn't damage my hearing but then again, I couldn't blame them. In order to explain to everyone in the city about the imposter the sultan had all the citizens of the city gather together for a series of announcements where he explained everything and promised the people he'd do everything he could to repair the damage that demon had inflicted upon the city and their lives. Aamin also made announcements and promised his people that he would never become like the demon that had taken his place and that he would do everything he could to help repair their lives as an apology for what that demon did in his name.

After the announcements the sultan had me, Kadar, Amira and Aamin gather into the throne room, which had returned to its former glory after the defeat of Madhimaran. It was here we went over plans to repair the damage done and we did come up with more than a few ideas to help the people such as returning the money that was stolen from them through taxing, supplying baskets of food for families and helping rebuild homes that fell into disrepair due to lack of care because of no funds. I was surprised though when the Sultan turned to me and made me head of these projects claiming to the people I was a hero and they would trust me above all others. When I asked him why didn't he do it or assign Amira to do it he replied that she needed to help get Aamin back to full health while he repaired the damage Madhimaran may have done to their relationship with the other kingdoms. I understood this and so began my work in community service, which went surprisingly well. With the help of both my dragons and multiple workers the buildings were repaired and had people living in them once again within two weeks. It did take me a while to return the taxes though while the baskets of food were a whole lot easier since I just had to ask the person how many members were in their family and then fill the basket up with enough food for them.

I admit it was anything but easy and it did take us a while to repair the damage that had been done to the city but whenever I fly over the city and see how happy the people are now I know its all been worth it in the end. Now there were no hungry people in the streets, no people begging for money and no children looking longingly at the food the merchants sold. Sadly all the work I did had come with a few drawbacks namely the women of the city and the nobles of other kingdoms. Once the buildings were finished some of the single woman or those who had daughters who were around my age would invite me back into their homes for dinner.

At first, I figured they just wanted to thank me for saving them but that quickly went out the window when I actually arrived for dinner. When it came to the single women's attempts to ensnare me they would wear robes that were baggy and hid their body which at first made me feel fine but once I was inside and the door closed they would let those robes fall to the floor to reveal clothes that were fit for belly dancers claiming it was more comfortable than their regular clothes, preparing plenty of food claiming they love to cook but as I later found out from Aamin they were just showing off their cooking skills to make themselves more appealing to me and of course taking a great interest in my adventures and myself like the things I liked, what I do, where I live, etc. Not all of them were like this though since some of them had children so they wore clothes that were less revealing but still showed a good amount of skin. They did use the same tactics as the other women but they also tried to use the children by having the children talk to me, try to convince me to join in their games, saying how much they wished they had a daddy while their mothers would tell me how hard it was to raise them alone. It wasn't hard to figure out that they believed I'd make a good father figure for their children and a good provider for the family and it's not that they weren't attractive but I wasn't looking for a relationship and some of them were old enough to be my mother.

Now some might think I could get some peace in the palace but unfortunately the palace is where I got the least amount of peace. In the palace I had to deal with the servant girls who had taken an interest in me and had no problem making that clear to me. Often at night when I was sat down at the desk in my room going over various plans I had to help improve the lives of the people I'd be interrupted by one or two of the servant girls dressed in outfits like the ones they wore when Madhimaran took control of them except they were a bit more modest. Sometimes they would bring food claiming that they thought I might be hungry while other times they would claim the sultan had sent them for my entertainment before they insisted I lay me back on my bed claiming it would be more relaxing before they danced in a way that brought attention to their more feminine parts which weren't that well covered in the outfit. When I went to speak with the sultan about it he claimed he never sent any women to entertain me but when I told him what happened he laughed and claimed the girls really wanted to repay me for what I did for them before telling me he couldn't stop or punish them for just being grateful. Eventually I just had Toothless guard the door at night to keep them out or from thinking about trying to come in but they soon learned that a plate of fish was all it would take to distract him long enough to enter my room and get to me. Heck the only girls in the kingdom who act normal around me are the children who don't know about romance yet and Amira who I am happy to say sees me more like a brother than anything else which suited me just fine.

The only problem was that she and Aamin would often laugh at my misfortunes despite the friendship that had grown between all of us. The sultan didn't stop them from doing so claiming it was as if the three of us were siblings and he found it quite refreshing to see his children laughing together again after so long. I couldn't even find some peace in the desert since I'd try relaxing at an oasis and then be joined by travelling merchants who wished to hear my tales, barter their goods with me and of course in some cases marry off their daughters to me. Besides my trouble with woman and traders I had taken the cobra staff, which was the only thing, left to remember the demon by as a trophy, which the sultan was happy to grant me along with a permanent room in the palace. Other than that, I have also been studying Bubo a bit more to see if he can do anything else but as I studied him he projected another message that simply read.

'Sorry Hiccup but you'll have to wait for Bubo to unlock his other abilities when the time is right.

Signed Hephaestus.'

After that I just shrugged and went back to making plans to help the city knowing it was more fun to actually figure it out myself then find out from others. Currently I was outside the palace with my dragons and a group of five guards on waiting for Amira who we were all escorting to a neighboring kingdom to discuss a trade agreement. Normally it would be the sultan who did such things but he was too busy helping Aamin rebuild his relationship with the people after all the damage that was done to his relationship with them. I had to say I was looking forward to this trip since I could see a bit of the desert while also checking out a new kingdom. Also, it was normally at least twenty guards escorting Amira with a camel caravan but with me here the Sultan felt she would be safer on the back of a fast flying dragon than on a camel's back and knew we'd be able to make it to the kingdom faster so less time for threats to come at us. It wasn't long before the sultan came down the stairs with Amira and Aamin at his sides. Once they were at the bottom of the stairs in front of us he turned to Amira and said.

"Be safe my daughter." She smiled and hugged him.

"Don't worry father I will." I saw Aamin snort and so could his sister since she turned to him and asked.

"And what is that about Aamin?" He shrugged.

"Knowing you and Hiccup there's bound to be some trouble." He then smiled. "Just be careful Amira since I just got you back and I don't want to lose you again." She smiled and hugged him.

"Don't worry brother." She pulled away. "Hiccup may be a trouble magnet but I will be safe." It was then I stepped forward.

"Oh come on I don't get in that much trouble." They both turned to face me and said together.

"Yeah, you do!" They turned to face each other and laughed before me and the sultan joined in before I said.

"Well we better get going so we can reach the kingdom before nightfall."

She nodded before she mounted Toothless with, Dune and Heatwave following us while carrying the guards. After one last final check to make sure we had everything we needed and to make sure everyone was ready we took off. As we flew over the city multiple people waved at us to which we waved back. I could tell that Amira loved the flight if her holding her hands up and screaming in joy and laughter which is when I realized that she had never been taken on a flight before since her father was worried about her falling and getting hurt despite the fact that he was always requesting me to take him out for a flight which lead to him screaming like a happy child as we flew over the city. I chuckled at the memory before turning my attention back to the path ahead of us.

Nightfall

We had finally arrived at the city we were visiting and just landed in front of the palace where multiple guards were waiting for us. I helped Amira dismount before she walked up to the front of the guards and said.

"I am princess Amira and I am here to renew the trade agreement with your sultan." One of the guards replied.

"We have been expecting you princess and the sultan awaits you in the throne room with his daughter."

She nodded before gesturing to my dragons, her guards and me to follow her as the guard led her inside. We walked through the long winding corridors to a large room where a man dressed in blue silk robes with gold trimmings and a small beard walked sat on a golden throne with a blue silk cushion. He looked down at us as he smiled before standing up with his hands rose as he said.

"Princess Amira!" He took her hand and kissed it. "We have been expecting you though we thought it would be a few more days since the letter we sent to your kingdom four days ago and should have only arrived yesterday." She smiled.

"Well we didn't come here by camel." She gestured to me. "My friend Hiccup here allowed us to use his dragons to fly here faster than any camel." He turned to me before shaking my hand quickly.

"Oh, I have heard much about you Hiccup Haddock." I cocked an eyebrow.

"You have?" He chuckled.

"My young friend the Arabian kingdoms may be a great distance away from each other but world travels fast when it comes to people like you."

"People like me?"

"My friend you are on the fast track to becoming a full-blown legend in these lands thanks to the tales that have been passed through the kingdoms."

"Really?"

"Yes, the tail of how your defeated a man turned demon masquerading as the prince and sealing up the gates to the underworld by summoning an army of skeletal warriors is an amazing tale." He then leaned in towards me making me lean back. "A tale that I wish to hear from you face to face to make sure I have all the right details." He then turned to my dragons. "And I especially wish to understand those magnificent beasts you ride upon." From the looks of things this was going to be a long visit.

Three days later

It's only been three days since we got here but it felt like a month with everything that has been going on in this palace and this city. I knew things would be bad at the beginning when we arrived at the palace with the sultan wanting me to tell how I summoned an army of skeletal warriors and defeated Madhimaran. After that this trip went downhill for me since he kept asking me questions about the story and to repeat it at least four times a day. If that wasn't bad enough he was constantly asking for rides on my dragons and lessons on how to fly Toothless on his own. It was nuts how he never gave me a moment's peace just to breathe a bit. Honestly when me and my dragons were just laying around in the garden relaxing he'd come by with questions, when I'm going for a flight he immediately requests that I let him join. Odin's beard I can't even walk to the bathroom to take care of some business without him intercepting me along the way.

Furthermore, he kept trying to convince me to sell my dragons to him despite me telling him eighty-seven times that the answer is no and yes, I did keep count. His offers were getting out of hand though since he was constantly coming to me with multiple offers that were getting more ridiculous and more outrageous. I admit at first it wasn't so bad with him offering me gold, money and jewels and when I told him no to what he was offering he began offering me more money and jewels which I turned down as well which is when things got annoying.

He began offering me positions in his city as an advisor, a guard captain, a counsel man and more but I told him that I wasn't interested in any positions he could offer. He then began offering me property like houses in the city, farmland and after I turned down an actual section of his palace he offered to actually have an actual palace built for me anywhere I wanted including on my island and even offered to send me servants of my own. When I turned that down he turned to what he called the weakness of every man and that is beautiful woman. He would send female servants only a few years older than me dressed in outfits that were like the ones Madhimaran had his female servants to try and convince me by performing and keeping my mind on them before trying to trick me into agreeing to sell to their sultan. It never worked though unless annoying me was part of their plan.

I was just grateful that tomorrow we would be heading back to the city since tonight there was meant to be a big ball with many merchants and nobles from other kingdoms coming to do business. I was just hoping to enjoy a little peace at this ball since the city's sultan would be far too busy dealing with his guests to bother me. I knew some of them would be curious about my dragons and me but as long as they don't constantly ask me the same questions and to repeat my stories over and over again then I'd be fine. I sighed and ran my hand through my hair as Toothless and Dune walked up to my sides and Heatwave up to my back as they crooned in concern. I turned to them and said.

"I'm fine guys just annoyed with that sultan and his attempts to buy you guys from me." They growled at the mention of the sultan since he had been constantly pestering them by trying to convince them to stay by offering lots of fish and lives of luxury with silk pillows, big rooms and unlimited fish. "Don't worry guys we'll be out of here tomorrow after breakfast and we won't be back in this city anytime soon." They growled in approval. "Well I better get ready for the ball." They just went back to the pillows they'd been given and lay down to sleep while I prepare for what I had the feeling would be a very interesting night since my dragons were staying behind to avoid the crowds.

Nightfall

I was now in the palace ballroom, in my formal armor enjoying a goblet of wine while leaning against a pillar while watching people socialize with each other. Now I did socialize with a few of them and even discussed a possible trade route between my island and some of the kingdoms that were set up by the ocean. What annoyed me though were some of the nobles were like the sultan and wanted to see my dragons and possibly buy them. I just told them to not even bother, as there is nothing in this world that could make me sell my dragons. This normally put off most of them but a few of them became more persistent and told me what they could offer which ranged from treasure to women but I just turned them down. I was brought out of my thoughts by the sound of a woman screaming in terror and looked up to find a large group of armed men running in with their swords drawn. I looked at the men before taking out my daggers and saying.

"Looks like we have some party crashers."

I then charged at them with multiple guards following my lead into battle. The sound of metal striking metal filled the air as did the screams of the party guests but I was focused on blocking the scimitar that was coming towards me. I used my daggers in an x form to block them and while the guy was distracted I need him in the stomach making him loosen his grip on the blade giving me an easy time disarming him before delivering a solid punch to his face. It was then another one charged towards me from behind but I just ducked under his swing before using his own speed to toss him over me and into one of his comrades who was doing battle with one of the guards. I then took this moment to let loose my dragon calls to summon my dragons for a little help. Unfortunately, it also got the attention of one of the bandits who yelled that he was going to really give me something to scream about before charging at me swinging his sword but before he could get close to me he was hit in the side with a hardened ball of sand which was followed by three loud roars. Everyone turned to the doors where my dragons were looking and glaring at the bandits who all looked horrified at the sight. I smiled at the sight before walking in front of them and saying.

"To all our party crashers I'd just like to say you made a big mistake coming here." I turned to my dragons. "Right guys?" They roared making me smile before one of the bandits yelled out.

"RETREAT!" All the bandits were all too happy to comply with some carrying there downed comrades and I figured it be best to leave them for now so we can assess the damage to the building and the people.

Half an hour later

We had finished assessing damage done to the room and people, which had been difficult since I had to deal with multiple guests congratulating me on the victory and in the cases of the young girls taking the opportunity to flirt with me. I wasn't too happy about this and neither were my dragons since the people were swarming them as well wanting to examine them and if there was one thing dragons hated when it comes to people it was being swarmed by them. We were fortunately saved by one of the guards that came with us ran up through the crowd and said.

"Hiccup Haddock we have a problem!"

"What is it?"

"Those thieves took princess Amira!" My eyes widened and pushed the crowd away.

"What did you just say?"

"Those bandits kidnapped princess Amira while we were occupied with battling most of them."

"We've got to find them and save her." It was then the sultan walked through the crowd looking down.

"You'll have a tough time doing so my friend as those were the forty thieves."

"Who?" He looked up.

"The forty thieves and they are the biggest scourges of the desert." He looked down. "They're always able to escape their pursuers and vanish into thin air."

"What do you mean?" He looked up.

"I mean that we don't know where they disappear to even after following their tracks it only leads to dead ends."

"So, you're saying I should just let those monsters have Amira?"

"No, they'll return her after her father pays the ransom." I shook my head.

"Not if I'm able to find them first."

"But they'll kill you." I smirked at him.

"They can't get rid of me that easily or I would've been dead years ago." I turned to my dragons. "Guys get ready for a long flight." They walked out of the room with me following but when I reached the door I turned back to face everyone. "I'll send back one of my dragons to fetch you when I've found their lair." He just nodded but as I left I saw him slowly shake his head while I wished I brought my battle armor instead of my formal and desert armor but I did pack some flightmare bombs from my ship since you never know.

3 hours later

We had been following the trail of the forty thieves, which was not easy since some of their men abandoned their horses and set them off in different directions to trick us. Their little trick succeeded a few times but now we were on the right path to finding them and I knew it was right because I was looking through my spyglass and could see them in the distance. I smiled before signaling my dragons to speed up so we could catch up to them but to keep back so they didn't see us as they lead us to their hideout. We quickly caught up to them but hung back as they ran towards a large stone mountain. We stayed back and had Heatwave turn into a sand dome to cover us as we watched them. I was confused as they stared at the mountain before the guy at the front held his hand out towards the wall and yelled.

"OPEN SESAME!"

I then felt the ground begin to shake as the mouth of a cave opened up in the side of the mountain, which would have surprised me, but to be honest is the least weird thing to happen to me in my life. Besides that, I didn't have much time to think of anything we had to get into the cave before it closed or they would know I was there and that is the last thing I wanted since it would risk Amira. I told Heatwave to wait outside the closed mouth of the cave and when it reopened to go into sandstorm form so we could learn if the words to exit the cave were different while also being able to take care of the thieves under the cover of the storm. He growled in approval before I signaled Toothless and Dune to fly as fast as they could to the cave where the thieves were now running into on their horses. We were barely able to make it into the cave before it closed but we made it in before the entrance closed on a high ledge, which wasn't difficult since it was dark and their scales were the perfect color to blend into the darkness and it gave us the perfect view of the thieves surrounding Amira in front of a large pile of bags, chests, vases, bowls and more all holding unbelievable amounts of treasure. I saw a large well-muscled man who I assumed was their leader looking down at Amira who had her arms tied together as she glared up at him before she asked.

"What do you piece of filth want because if it's money you're after my father will pay it but make sure you are caught for kidnapping me." They all laughed.

"We don't want money princess but we do intend to hold you for ransom!"

"Then what is it you want from my father than?"

"From him nothing but from your friend Hiccup, we want the dragons." My eyes widened at this.

"Hiccup would never give up his dragons."

"Oh, I'm sure he could be convinced to hand them over if it meant saving your life."

"Why do you even want them?" They all laughed.

"We know he has a dragon which can turn into a sandstorm and that will make our raids much easier along with their strength and speed that will allow us to bring back even more treasure for our hoard." It all made sense to me now.

"Hiccup will never do it and when he finds you he is going to punch you so hard in the face you'll be out like a light." He just laughed before walking to the entrance and turning back.

"We'll see how you are feeling after a few days alone in here." He turned back to the entrance as I put my hands on the hilts of my swords. "OPEN SESAME!"

When the entrance opened Heatwave was standing there and glaring at the leader who was frozen in shock before Heatwave let out an ear-piercing roar as he turned into a sandstorm and flew into the cave as me and my dragons attacked. I cut the men trying to shield their eyes with my swords injecting speed stinger venom into their systems paralyzing them. Toothless knocked them out by pouncing on them before using his paw to slam their heads against the ground while Dune blasted them in the guts with hardened sand blasts. When the only guy left was the leader who was still trying to see in the sandstorm I walked up behind him and signaled Heatwave to stop the storm. Once he finished the leader was still wiping sand out of his eyes but when he saw all his men on the ground he asked.

"What in the Arabian Desert is going on?" At this point I was right behind him and said.

"It's called an ambush." He turned to face me. "By the way, Amira was right about me punching you in the face." I then pulled my fist back and punched him so hard I actually saw a tooth fall out and once I was sure he was out I ran to Amira. "You alright?" She smiled.

"I'm fine but annoyed with these idiots!" I chuckled and cut the ropes holding her.

"Don't worry they'll be going away for a long time." I helped her up. "Think I can send you back to your father with Dune to get help." She nodded before I helped her onto Dune and sent them off before turning back to the thieves to begin tying them up for the guards.

Three hours later

The guards finally arrived with Dune and took every thief there was after Kadar assured me that Amira was safe and her father was more than grateful to have her back safe and sound. Kadar then said a few things that made me a bit worried claiming that word of my defeat of the forty thieves would spread quickly and it would no doubt only make me more desirable as a husband to the woman. If that wasn't bad enough then there's still the issue of how the sultan is going to treat me when I get back since he was trying to convince me to move to Arabia permanently. I could tell he wanted me there so he could enjoy flights whenever he wanted and it did his image good to have what the people called 'the demon slayer' by his side and with my capture of the forty thieves he'd no doubt try harder than ever. It was for these reasons I decided it was best I come back to the cave to explore it after I helped escort the thieves back to the city to face judgement for their crimes but I knew as soon as the sun rose I was coming back here before the sultan could start on his long speech thanking me and before the women could try to get their hands on me.

Six days later

I was back at the cave and I had to say I was grateful after what happened in the city which is an experience I'd much rather forget. As expected when we got back the Sultan wanted to see me immediately but I informed him that I was really tired so he allowed me to go to bed but I saw a glint in his eye telling me that this wasn't over. Sadly, when morning came I was proven right as a female servant was sent to collect me since the sultan wanted to speak with me and unfortunately for me I sleep shirtless so she got full view of my bare torso which if the look in her eye was any indication she liked what she saw. She even offered to stay and help me get ready for my day but I could tell she wanted something more so I told her I was fine before sending her out. When I met with the sultan he took me out to see the people who had gathered outside for his morning announcement and presented me as the hero who captured the forty thieves which got screams of joy from the people and I knew this meant I was not going to be getting a moments peace when I go into the city. The sultan then called his children and I in to discuss the matter of the thief's treasure where it was decided that the other two kingdoms, which had fallen victim to the thieves, would be needed to help decide its fate. It took the neighboring kingdoms a day and a half to arrive so we could discuss it but unfortunately the one of said kingdoms was the one I just visited with Amira and the sultan of that city was all too eager to see me again to talk. Luckily the other two were able to convince him to discuss the treasure first before anything else.

In the end it was decided that each of the three kingdoms that had fallen victim to the thieves would each receive a quarter of the treasure for their own kingdoms to help their people. They had all agreed that the remaining treasure would be given to me for capturing the thieves and saving Amira. I spent an hour telling them that it wasn't necessary and I was just happy that I could help bring a little more peace to the people of the cities. Unfortunately for me my claims fell on deaf ears and I ended up with a ship full of treasure after I helped escort the caravan camels with the treasures to each of the cities. I had used some of my money to help feed the hungry people on the street but even after that I still had plenty of treasure and a whole lot of sorting to do when I got home. Sadly, the people of the cities knew this and this made the woman all the more eager to snag me as a husband so no matter which city I went to I got no peace. Along with this the news of the thieves' defeat would spread far which according to the sultan would draw in sultans of other kingdoms to the city to meet me. I knew it would be bad but I knew in some ways it would be good for the city with all it the sultans brought but it didn't make things any easier for me. At the same time as all this I was not looking forward to getting back to Berk though since there's no doubt my dad was going to want to know what's happened and he was not going to be happy about my latest fights. I was however looking forward to getting home to my own island though since it would get me away from the chaos of everything that's happened in this kingdom.

Now I was sitting in the cave in front of a small pond of water with my dragons behind me as I took a drink from it. The pond was really the only thing in the cave now that the treasure had been emptied out. I had spent the day exploring it with my dragons and I have to say there really wasn't that much to this cave when it came to the inside which was around the size of the cave I used to live in after I expanded it. It was then I noticed a small glimmer of gold in the water which I figured must be a gold coin that fell in so I shrugged and reached in to pull it out but when I grabbed it I realized it wasn't a coin but a large gold chain. I tried to pull it up but it seemed to be stuck on something so I pulled harder until the ground began shaking. My dragons ran up to me to shield me from any falling rubble from the roof but none fell before I noticed a stone path of stepping stones rising from the water leading to the center where a small stone pedestal was rising. Once the pedestal was fully up I saw the top open before an Arabian oil lamp was lifted through it. I looked at the lamp in confusion as did my dragons before I turned to them and said.

"Well this looks to be something worth investigating if someone went through all this trouble to hide it."

They just growled and nodded before I walked across the stepping-stones after tapping each with my sword to check for traps. I'm happy to say there weren't any traps as I made my way across the stepping-stones to the pedestal where I picked up the lamp before returning to my dragons at the edge of the pond. I walked up to them and showed them the lamp, which they looked at and sniffed but saw nothing wrong with it as I turned it in my hand and asked.

"Why would anyone go through so much trouble to hide this little thing?"

I looked closely at it and saw nothing valuable or impressive about it since from what I could tell it was just an old bronze lamp and a dusty one at that. I turned it around in my hand a few more times trying to figure out why anyone would go through so much trouble to hide an old lamp. I shrugged figuring the dust might be covering up something on it that was actually valuable. I began rubbing the dust off the lamp when all of a sudden hit began to shake and glow red before it began to shoot sparks out of the nozzle and into the air making explosions in the air. This shocked us all if my dragons roaring in shock and backing up was any indication and I would've done the same thing but it felt as if the lamp was stuck to my hands. It was then the explosions stopped and smoke burst out of the nozzle as a woman's scream filled the cave. I looked at the smoke as it began to take the shape of a woman. Then much to my shock it hardened and turned into a woman in dressed as belly dancer with a gold outfit with gold arm bands around her wrists with her long black hair tied up in a high ponytail that reached down to the bottom of her back. Her hands were stretched out over her head as she let out a yawn. As she did this I just stared at her in shock as did my dragons but their shock was quickly overcome since they got in front of me in their defensive stances. She turned to face us smiling before she said.

"Five thousand years sleeping really leaves a girl feeling great when she gets up." I was still in shock so all I could say was.

"What?" My dragons just growled at her before she looked at them.

"Calm down boys I can't hurt any one." She shrugged. "Comes with the whole genie life." I walked in front of my dragons as I signaled them to calm down.

"I'm sorry but did you just say you're a genie?" She smiled at me before snapping her fingers and was all of a sudden right in front of me making me jump back in shock.

"You heard right and you my dear fellow have become my master so tell me what would you like your three wishes to be."

"I'm sorry but did you just say wishes?"

"Oh, this I forgot this is new for you so let me break it down for you." She snapped her fingers and reappeared in front of my dragons before gesturing to them. "First of all, nice dragons and second of all how many of your pals do you see."

"Thanks, and three." She smiled before snapping her fingers and reappearing in front of me making me jump back again.

"Exactly!" She held up three fingers. "Three is the exact number of wishes you get." She brought down two fingers and pointed the last one at me. "Don't try to wish for more wishes or ask to redo a wish though since that is not an option." I nodded as she pulled her hand back.

"Are there any other rules I should know about?" She smiled.

"Yeah like you get three wishes I have three more rules I'm stuck with." She held up two fingers. "Rule number two is I can't do anything that would affect anyone's free will so in other words no mind control or making a person fall in love." I waved my hand at her.

"Don't worry about that since I've seen my fill of mind control on this trip." She cocked an eyebrow. "Long story."

"You'll have to tell me sometime but for now." She held up three fingers. "Rule number three is I can't kill anyone." A dagger appeared against her throat. "So don't ask." I nodded.

"Don't worry it's not my style and there's nobody I want dead." She nodded before snapping her fingers and disappearing in puff of smoke leaving only a tombstone before her hand burst out of the ground with four fingers standing up as she crawled out of the ground.

"Rule number four is I can't bring the dead back to life which is a good thing since before that rule was created it was never a pretty picture." I nodded before she snapped her fingers and was suddenly appeared in front of me but at this point I expected it. "Other than that take your pick of wishes but before you do any questions?"

"Why don't we start with your name since I'd rather not just keep calling you genie." She smiled before clapping her hands over her head forming a small cloud of smoke.

"The name's Kaamisha master." The smoke above her head turned into glowing fold letters that read KAAMISHA.

"Okay but please don't call me master since it doesn't feel right so just call me Hiccup." She cocked her eyebrow.

"Is that a nickname?"

"No it's my first name while my full name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third." She cocked another eyebrow. "Yeah, I know it's not the best name but parents believed names like that would keep trolls away."

"Wow if that's what parents believe these days along with the dragons than Arabia has changed in the past five thousand years."

"I don't doubt it's changed but I'm not from here I'm a foreigner visiting the land."

"Oh that actually explains a few things." She shook her head. "Well anyway do you have any other questions?"

"Well I wouldn't mind knowing what happens when a master uses the last wish." She put her hand to her chin and began tapping her cheek with her index finger as she rested her elbow in her other hand.

"Well it really depends on the genie since in some cases when it's one of those power hungry genies they go on a rampage to conquer the world, when it's a genie who is permanently bound to their item they just go back in and wait till the item is passed on to somebody else or until their master uses their last wish to set them free, some move on to another existence, some swap places with their master, some just get their freedom but lose their powers."

"So which category do you fall under?" She looked down.

"The one that needs her master to wish her free or I go back into the lamp for who knows how many years." She looked up. "Honestly to finally be free of that lamp and just be a normal girl again."

"You weren't always a genie?" She looked up and shook her head.

"No I was once a crowned princess of a kingdom but when a powerful sorcerer desires you then turning him down is the last thing you should do." She looked down. "The last I heard of my kingdom was from one of my former masters who told me it fell to an invading army."

"I'm sorry to hear that."

"It's alright it was thousands of years ago but it would be nice to be normal again and I doubt you'll waste your last wish on me." It was at that moment I knew what I wanted to wish for.

"Kaamisha what do I have to say to free you?" She looked up at me surprised.

"You'd really free me?" I nodded.

"You've suffered this fate enough so just tell me how to free you."

"Hiccup I appreciate this but are you sure?" I nodded.

"I'm positive." Before I could blink she had me in a tight hug.

"Thank you so much Hiccup, you have no idea how much this means to me." She pulled away. "Alright then but let's get these first two wishes."

"I don't know what to wish for since there isn't much I want but I don't want to waste this opportunity."

"How about untold riches beyond your wildest dreams." She snapped her fingers and there was a bright flash before I found myself surrounded by piles of gold and jewels the size of mountains but as I looked around I knew I couldn't wish for this.

"No thanks I prefer to earn my own wealth instead of just getting it handed to me." She snapped her fingers and we were back in the cave again as she rubbed her chin before smiling.

"How's about a life of luxury where you won't have to worry about a thing and have many servants to cater to your every whim."

She snapped her fingers and once again there was a bright flash before I found myself sitting on some very expensive looking red silk pillows in a white marble house where some girls dressed as belly dancers were performing in front of me while one was massaging my shoulders, one was sitting beside me holding a plate of grapes and one was fanning me. I turned to my dragons and saw they were all confused as they were now lying down on large cushions like the ones I'm on while some of the girls were offering them each a plate of fish.

"So how's about it Hiccup?" She gestures around the room. "Beautiful servant girls ready to cater to your every whim in a palace fit for a king where you could live the rest of your life in luxury." I stood up.

"Not really my style since I won't force anyone to do what I want them to do and I thought you said you couldn't make change anyone's free will." She smiled at me before gesturing to the girls.

"These girls are harem djinn and they seek their keeper's happiness above all else so they will happily serve you no matter what." The girls al nodded their heads at this but I shook my head.

"Still not the kind of life for me." She sighed and snapped her fingers before we were back in the cave.

"How about all the knowledge in the world." She snapped her fingers and once again there was a big flash before we were in a huge library.

"I admit it's tempting but I prefer to gain knowledge through adventure and using books I buy myself."

"I can always give you untold power to conquer your enemies." She snapped her fingers and as usual their was a flash before I found myself sitting on a throne with my dragons at my sides while an army of armed warriors that reached the summit all cheering me and my dragons as I turned toKaamisha.

"I don't need an army since I don't want to conquer anyone or make any enemies." She looked down and snapped her fingers before we were back in the cave.

"You have a good heart Hiccup and you'd make an excellent leader." She looked up and smiled. "I can give you your own kingdom to rule over with multiple loyal subjects."

She snapped her fingers and I found myself sitting on a golden throne in a large room while my dragons sat next to me on silk pillows. It was then I heard chanting coming from outside so I went to investigate using a balcony built into the left side of the room with my dragons following behind. When I reached the edge of the balcony I found myself looking over a huge city with people on the street cheering for me. I walked back to the throne to sit down but as soon as I had multiple belly dancers walked in and begin performing. I was about to say something but some more girls dressed the same way chose that moment to walk in carrying plates of food as the Kaamishaappeared next to me.

"All this could be yours." She gestured around the room. "A life of luxury where you have control over a kingdom of your own." Before I could reply to this she continued. "A palace of devoted Harem Djinn servants, a city for you to rule, untold riches but if the way these girls look doesn't please you keep in mind that djinn can change their form to please you." I turned to her and shook my head.

"I admit I wouldn't mind this life for a little while like a vacation but it's just not my style since it feels like I didn't earn it." She smiled at me before snapping her fingers and we were back in the cave.

"My father would've liked you Hiccup since he always said if you didn't earn it then you don't deserve it."

"He sounds like a wise man." She looked down.

"He was!"

"So any other ideas?"

"Hiccup my power is limitless beyond the rules so it's all up to you." I rubbed my chin in thought.

"Well I could use something to help me map out my travels to show me the quickest rout to where I'm going but at the same time not show me places I've never been since finding them is part of the fun." She nodded.

"So basically your asking for a map to places you've already been which will show you the quickest route while also hiding the new places until they've been found." I nodded before she smiled. "I've got just the thing!" She snapped her fingers before there was a bright flash before I was looking at a large crystal table with a small model of the ocean with smaller models of the islands and places I've visited with the majority of the table being blank and the city of Madain Saleh glowing red with a crystal symbol of Toothless floating over it. "The land which glows red is where you are and the symbol is you and if you just tell the map to show you somewhere on it it'll show you the best route." I looked at it and decided to test it.

"Show me how to get to Berk!" A red line formed from the city to Berk.

"That's the best root and as for it being portable just hold out your hand and say shrink and it'll shrink to a size that'll fit in your open hand." I looked at the table and held out my hand.

"Shrink!" It lifted up before spinning and shrinking before landing in my hand as I smiled at it knowing it was going to make my navigation a whole lot easier.

"All you have to do is wish for it Hiccup by saying I wish for this table map." I looked up at Kaamisha.

"Kaamisha I wish for this table map!" She smiled.

"Your wish is my command!" She snapped her fingers and there was a bright flash. "The map is now yours to keep and don't worry about it being damaged since I made it indestructible."

"Thanks but now what to do about my second wish?" I rubbed my chin in thought since there really wasn't anything I wanted that I didn't have or wanted to earn myself. "How's about something to help me practice my fighting skills." She smiled at me.

"I have just the thing!" She snapped her fingers and a full size mirror with black marble framing appeared next to her.

"This mirror will create any type of fight scene you want like say you want to practice fighting against some actual opponents then this mirror will conjure up the fight scene for you to practice in."

"So it's like another world that I can make myself?" She nodded.

"And if you're worried about time then don't be since I can make it so you can spend days in that world but only seconds will pass in the real world."

"But what about the wounds I can get?"

"Don't worry about those since the wounds will disappear the second you leave the mirror and you can't die in there since if you get too injured then the scene will freeze and you'll be able pushed out to of the mirror to heal." I smiled and knew this is a wish I'd like. "I can tell you want it so all you have to do is wish it!"

"Kaamisha I wish for the mirror!"

"Your wish is my command!" She snapped her fingers and the mirror became completely solid. "Go on and give it a try but remember to exit just say 'battle end'." I nodded before I put down the lamp as I pictured a scene and walked through the mirror only to find myself in the middle of Berk surrounded by Berserkers walking towards me as I smiled and took out my swords.

"This is going to come in handy."

Mirror 1 hour later

Real world 1 second later

I walked out of the mirror out of breath but smiling since that was good training and a good workout. Kaamisha smiled at me as I picked up the lamp as she asked.

"I take it you like it?"

"Oh yeah I did." I turned to the mirror. "This is definitely going to come in handy."

"Great to see you enjoyed it." I smiled at her and nodded.

"Now for my third and final wish and I know what want." She looked down.

"Listen Hiccup I won't blame you if you wish for something else since that's what my past masters have done after they promised to free me since it was too tempting an opportunity to give up so just know that I don't blame you for not freeing me." I smiled at her.

"Kaamisha I wish for your freedom."

"Okay let's get this ov-" She paused and looked up at me in surprise. "What?"

"Kaamisha!" I held up the lamp. "You're free!"

A small tornado of colored smoke came out of the lamps of the nozzle before circling around a glowing Kaamisha. The glow seemed to float of her as the smoke began to focus on her wrists where the gold bands were. The gold bands then unclipped and fell to the ground before turning to dust as the smoke flew into the air above her before scattering into different directions and dissipating. Kaamisha looked at me before saying.

"You freed me!"

"Yeah I did since as I said before I prefer to earn my own treasures instead of just being handed them." Before I could say anything Kaamisha had me in a hug while chanting 'thank you' as I just smiled. "I told you I'd use my last wish to free you." She let go and pulled back and looked at me.

"My other masters made the same promises but always used their last wish on themselves before I went back in the lamp and they were thrown from the cave with the items they wished for." I nodded.

"So you're no longer a genie?" She shook her head.

"Nope I'm now as human as you are."

"If that's the case then I'm sure I can convince the sultan to allow you to stay until you can find your way in life." She smiled.

"I'd like that." After that I gathered up my map and mirror before helping Kaamisha onto Dune before we took off back to the city.

AN: Hey all I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and I'm sorry it took longer than the others but I was having trouble thinking of what Hiccup should wish for and what should happen. Besides that I was out of town for a few days on a get away with no wifi connection except through my phone so I couldn't post it if I finished. Well this brings an end to this chapter and if you have any ideas for the gifts from the gods let me know and I'll consider them. Till next time keep the reviews friendly please.
