Alicia blinks as she turns in a slow circle. "Wow," she breathes out, suddenly glad she'd made this trip. Leaving Andre behind in California with Sofia had been strange, but now she's in Pennsylvania, feeling the crisp air brushing through her hair, against her skin, and she smiles, tilting her face up to let the sun warm her skin. "It's beautiful here."

"I know, right?" Ricardo asks, enjoying watching his wife prance around in the grass, enjoying the vastly different weather from California. "I know you only have had a few hours here, but what are you thinking so far? Do you like it?"

"I do," Alicia says. "But it's going to take more than one visit to let me know for sure if I want to plan the rest of my life here."

Ricardo nods. "That makes sense," he says quietly. "Well, we have time." He rests his hand on the table. "We can come back here as many times as you'd like."

Alicia smiles and joins him, curls her fingers around his. "You're the best," she tells him softly. Scooting closer, she grips his hand and eases it down to rest it against her stomach. "Soon enough, I'm going to be showing again."

He smiles at her. "You're beautiful pregnant, have I told you that?"

"You have," she says with a grin. "A few times. It may end up being Andre's first words at this rate."

He grins at her. "Well, then, I'll be doing a good job of teaching him how to properly treat a woman from the start, won't I?"

Alicia giggles. "Yes, you are," she tells him with a soft kiss to his knuckles. "Man, I"m going to regret returning home later. I feel like I haven't felt your touch on my skin in years... I know it's only been a month or so, but you know," she murmurs,

"Trust me, I feel the same way," Ricardo breathes. "I mean, this is a nice enough place, don't get me wrong, but... I miss you, and Andre, and Sofia. And the rest of our friends."

"We all miss you too," Alicia tells him. "In fact, I'm pretty sure Sofia has a countdown calendar until your stay here is up."

"So you're saying I should prepare myself for one of her outrageous return meals? I can accept that."

"And don't forget the big hugs," Alicia tells him, eyes sparkling. "I can't wait to be able to give you one as well."

Ricardo smiles. "How about a small one to hold us over until then?"

Alicia smiles and glances around the grounds. "Is that allowed?"

"This isn't prison, they won't taze us and add to my sentence for it or anything." He chuckles, standing up. "Come over here."

Hugging him feels like home and Alicia sighs softly as he rocks her gently left to right. "I love you," she breathes into his shoulder.

"I love you too," he says, leaning back and brushing the hair out of her eyes. "So, so much that it hurt when I can't tell you to your face."

She smiles up at him. "I know exactly what you mean."" Cradling his face between her hands, she kisses him, a quick mostly chaste move. "I love you too. So much. And soon we'll be back together in one house- be it here, or be it California- and we'll make up for all of this lost time. I promise you."

"I'm looking forward to it," he says, chancing one last kiss before they hesitantly take their seats back and Alicia pulls out her phone to show him a bunch of picture of Andre, first being held by her, then squeezed close by Sofia.

He smiles and watches as his son slowly grows up within the slideshow of pictures, itching to spend time with him, properly father him once more.

Alicia reaches over and squeezes his hand, smiling softly. "It won't be long now."

He hopes she's right, and that the time goes by quickly.
