Chapter 84

Hiccups POV:

It's been four months since my last battle with the dragon hunters and in that time a lot has happened and I'm not just talking about cleaning up the shipwrecks left from the battle but I am grateful for those wrecks. The reason I'm grateful for the wrecks is because I'm able to strip them down leaving me with plenty of wooden planks for one of my longest running projects. Helping the Berserkers and Defenders of the wing rebuild their villages that the Shellfire who I named Tephra after the rocks and pieces launched from volcanoes because of what she can do. Repairing the villages was no easy project with all the damage that was done, everything that needed to be replaced, all the supplies they lost and Berserker Island was the true challenge since for some reason Dagur and Heathers dragons couldn't land in the village while mine had no trouble. (AN: Immunity to mind control including that of and Alpha from the vase given to him from Arabian gods after the demon controlled Toothless.) I'm still not sure why though but that was a thing to investigate another day since there's still so much work to do even though I was able to help repair most of the damages in both villages. I spent over a month tearing down hunter's ships to provide the lumber needed to rebuild their damaged houses, late nights working in the forge alongside other blacksmiths to restock the Berserkers armory which was destroyed in the attack, handing out food and rations to villagers and much more. One of the things I had to deal with when with the Defenders of the Wing was the baby eruptadon kept following me around like my wolves used to when they were pups and I admit it was adorable but it meant I constantly had to stop at the lava pit so it could eat. I am happy to say though that after two months both the Berserkers and the Defenders of the wing were back to normal with their villages fully repaired and their inventory restocked with the ocean around the edge free of any shipwrecks.

Besides that I was able to collect the dragon hunters ship that they strapped to Tephra's back and examine it from top to bottom from the inside and outside. To put it bluntly it was impressive but there was a lot of room for improvement in quite a few places starting with those chains that held the ship onto Tephra's back since they scratched her stomach which wasn't as protected as his back so they really dug in and hurt her pretty bad. I knew with more than a few modifications the ship would be perfect for deep-sea exploration in parts where my diving bell didn't reach the bottom. After my dragons retrieved it from the bottom of the ocean I got to work on those modifications starting with changing the way the chains held onto Tephra. I spent two days taking his measurements and another five days creating a gronkle iron chest plate for Tephra's stomach to protect her stomach from the chains, which go through some holes that then lock them in place meaning the chains don't dig into his underbelly or come undone easily. I'd also stripped down the outer shell of the ship and replaced the dragon proof metal with gronkle iron so it'd be lighter for Tephra to carry and tougher to break through. This did of course leave a mess of old iron to dispose of but fortunately Grump and Gobber were happy to chow down on it, my smothering Smokebreaths were happy to have more metal for their nest and Bandit was glad to have more metal to add to his armor. On the sides I had installed windows that were thick and made of deathsong amber so I'd be able to see out into the ocean while also seeing what was happening when we surfaced. At the back I added a cargo hold with slots that are about the size of a gronkle that could be pulled out on the outside then loaded with whatever treasures I discover before being pushed back in where the other end would come out in the storage hold so I could empty out the treasures. At the front where the spiked head is I removed all the spikes and made it so the head can be lowered down like a drawbridge and become a ramp leading inside so I could load up livestock and my dragons easily.

The inside now had a total of three levels with the lower level being the storage hold with the slots at the back on either the left or right side along with an airtight room at the back that had a hole in the floor that could be closed and opened allowing me to enter the ocean whenever I wanted. The second level being the level with the windows and pretty much the domestic section with a dinner table, bookshelf, Greek kline, a Maces and Talons set on its own table with chairs and a few weapons lining the walls for both decoration and if necessary defense. The third floor was that small upper section at the back of the ship where Ryker came out when he attacked the edge. This floor consisted of one room, which I had turned into my bedroom that had a bed against the left wall, a bookshelf against the right, a side table next to the bed and of course a cupboard against the back full of towels to dry off with while on the ceiling and on both the left and right walls were windows looking outside. As for lighting the inside of the ship, I didn't want to use candles or any sort of flame since they need air to live as well which would limit the amount of time I'm able to spend in the ship without surfacing for air so instead I used lamps with large glow stones inside them to provide light.

I'll never forget our first test run which proved to be a large success and an absolutely amazing experience where I was able to just stand at a window with a goblet of water in my hand as I watched the underwater landscape go by. It was on this trip I found a trophy from my final battle with Ryker but sadly I also found Rykers body floating there in the water. I collected his body and took it back up to the surface where I sent him off on a burning funeral pyre since despite him being my enemy he deserved to be sent off to Valhalla properly and this was something my dad, Gobber, Heather, Dagur, Mala and Throk all agreed with as they were all kind enough to attend his funeral and join me in launching the arrows that set the boat ablaze. As for the trophy I got I took his swords and hung them on the wall with the Ryker's name engraved on a gold plate underneath them. As for where Tephra slept, he'd taken to nesting in an isolated part of Glacia's nest which is now where I keep the ship on the higher parts above him on the ice Glacia blasted making his nest like a small cave.

Besides all this I was having a few issues of my own to deal with on the edge since the attack from the hunters disrupted the volcano and made the island unstable. I've had to deal with multiple lava spewing geysers popping up all over the island along with the islands constant rumbling and earthquakes. I tried sealing up the geysers by pouring melted gronkle iron into them and it worked but only temporarily since after a while the built up volcanic pressure was too great and either broke through the gronkle iron or launched it into the air where the now burning hot piece of iron normally came to land either in the base or ocean. I had to bring in Berg and Shard to help cool the lava enough to stop it from destroying my buildings along with Coal to keep things steady with a supply of gronkle iron while also having him bring in some of the other gronkles from the nest to help produce it. Because of all of these things going on I hadn't had the time to build a new dragon eye but I had the plans for the new one all drawn out in my head. I'm just glad I have experience in making these eyes with my cats eye, canines eye, birds eye and apes eye so making myself a new dragon eye will be a breeze.

Eventually I figured I could use a mixture of gronkle iron and deathsong amber to seal the geysers for good but I needed to get the amount right so I didn't set off a negative chemical reaction. The first attempt made the stuff explode in the cauldron splattering the hot liquid everywhere, the second attempt made the liquid explode right out of the cauldron before coming down onto the grass bellow but the third attempt just made the cauldron shake a bit but other than that nothing. When I poured it into the geyser it steamed for a few seconds before it was completely sealed as the lava hardened. This brought a smile to my face but sadly I used the last of the deathsong amber to make it meaning I have to return to Melody Island to collect some more since Sirens amber wasn't the same as deathsong amber despite it being nearly the same.

This brings us to where I am now and that's with Toothless, Saphire, Sear and Siren all wearing saddlebags, landing in the Deathsongs cove at sundown. I looked around at the area in confusion since something strange was going on since there was no sign of any captured dragons or their bones. Besides that I also noticed there wasn't any noise meaning there was no deathsong singing. I looked around at all the amber before turning to my dragons and said.

"Keep your guard up guys, something strange is going on here." They all growled and nodded. "Where is the deathsong?" It was at that moment a deathsong rose from behind some rocks spreading its wings and roaring before collapsing in front of me. "What in the world?" I walked up and placed my hand on its muzzle as it crooned before examining its wounds. "Hunters!" It then much to my horror let out a familiar song making me run to the head. "Garf?" I looked into its eyes and knew it was he. "It is you!" I looked back at his wounds. "What have they done to you?" He just let out a sad tune as Toothless walked up and nuzzled his nose. "Hang in there pal and I'll be back with some things to help you." He just sang as I smiled before turning to Siren. "Stay here with him girl and if any stranger comes near or tries to harm him then cocoon them." She nodded before she walked up and nuzzled Garf as he sang sadly as I gave him one last look before mounting Toothless and taking off.

Morning

Last night was intense to say the least with all the volcanic geysers blasting out of the ground before me and my dragons were able to seal them. The volcano was the most challenging however since it began leaking lava towards my base but I figured this might happen so I brought in Quake and Boulder to help release the volcanic pressure by making a hole on the other side of the volcano so the lava leaked out into the ocean. Still there was a lot of damage done but now I could not care less about the damage since after the volcano was taken care of I grabbed as many medical supplies as I could including a small sail flew back to melody island with Toothless, Violet and Scardian. I was happy Garf was feeling a bit better when we got back but I still tended to his wounds while also examining them before using the sail to carry him to the Defenders of the Wing who immediately began tending to him when we dropped down. Now I was looking at Garf sniff around the defenders of the wing village with the baby eruptadon on my left side and Mala on my right as she said.

"I've seen some brutal methods from the hunters but what was done to him was far beyond any form of brutality I've ever seen them use."

"Which brings up the question of who's leading the hunters now." She nodded.

"Indeed Hiccup Haddock but it also means this war with the hunters is not yet over."

"True Mala, in fact I think it's only just truly begun." I saw the scars on Garf and clenched my fists. "I swear I'm going to find who did this to Garf and make them pay for it."

"Don't let your anger cloud your judgment and make you think you have to take them on alone Hiccup." I turned to face her. "You have allies in both the defenders of the wing, Berserkers, Berk, Outcasts and I assume more." I nodded. "My point is you have allies so don't try to do this alone since judging by the brutality used on this dragon this enemy is more dangerous than the Grimborns." I nodded.

"Don't worry Mala because with this enemy I don't think I'll be able to take him on by myself." She nodded before Garf ran up and nuzzled me as I petted his head. "Things are going to get interesting."

4 days later

It's been four days since I got back from the Defenders of the wing and in that time not much has happened aside from the volcano finally calming down and Garf moving onto the island where he was quickly recovering from the attack. Besides that I had visited Berk along with Berserker Island and Outcast Island to warn them that the hunters were still out there and to all be on their guard. Besides that I couldn't find anything about the new leaders of the hunters besides the fact that he was the one who tried to bring me in for the bounty and I only learnt this using my golden falcons. Other than that I'd finally been able to put the designs for the new dragon eye onto paper so I could begin building it soon. Now I was in the Northern markets with Toothless, Sapphire, Scorch and Siren thanks to a terror mail from Johan claiming he needed my help there and when I got there I understood why. The streets were nearly deserted with barely a few people walking around but it was then I saw Johan at his stall. I walked up to him and asked.

"Johan, what's going on here?" I gestured to the market. "The markets practically deserted."

"Master Hiccup you truly have a keen eye for what's wrong in the world but I'm afraid something very peculiar is going on." I gestured for him to continue. "Everything from glass trinkets to golden chalices have vanished and the traders, gone without a trace."

"Well I'm glad you're not one of the traders who've vanished Johan but has anything of yours been taken?"

"Master Hiccup, leave it to you to find the silver lining in a dark mysterious cloud."

"Do you have any idea on what might be causing the disappearances?"

"Well I've never been the superstitious type master Hiccup but this all feels a lot like the curse of tears."

"I've heard of this curse and it does seem like it since many traders and valuables have fallen victim to it."

"Indeed master Hiccup and I hope you as well do not fall to this curse."

"Don't worry Johan, I'll be careful." He smiled.

"Do you know where to begin though master Hiccup?"

"I'll start by asking around and see what I can find out about this curse." He nodded.

"I wish you luck master Hiccup and do be carful." I nodded before I walked away.

2 hours later

I'd been asking some of the merchants who were present if they'd seen anything or knew anything about the curse of tears but none of them did. They did however try to sell me some of their items but I turned them down saying I was only interested in finding out what's going on. I would've been done asking them a while ago but I had to keep stopping in order to grab thieves who'd decided to try and steal my money pouch but I always let them off easy with a broken nose, a threat and a growl from my dragons. There was one idiot who tried to steal my prosthetic since like most people he thought it was just a piece of my armor by running by only to then fall on his back when it didn't follow him. I recognized him as the two hooked man who tried to collect the bounty on me and let's just say I wasn't happy to see him again. He limped away with a broken leg and nose after a threat to do worse if he tried anything like that again. Now I was walking up to another stole where a merchant with his beard tied at two ends and wearing a dark purple tunic was waiting to see if anyone would come. When he saw me he smiled and said.

"Good day sir and what can my fine establishment do for you today?" Before I could answer. "Perhaps you're looking for a new spear." He took one off the weapons rack. "Maybe this one will interest you as it has a barbed head so it slides in easily but pulling it out is a different story." I just stared at him unimpressed. "Perhaps this sax perhaps." He began digging through things. "Made from the neck bone of a dragon." My dragons growled at this as I glared. "Right, I suppose dragon bone is a no, no." I began walking away. "Wait, I do carry a wide array of items." He ran behind two crates and lifted up a golden plate. "This decorative dish for example." I shook my head.

"I've got plenty of those back on my own island."

"How's a real working ball and chain?" He lifted one up by the chain.

"I don't need one of those with Siren around to cocoon my prisoners." He began digging through some stuff behind the crates.

"Alright, alright, I was reserving this for my most special customer but-" He unrolled a parchment showing a map.

"I've got plenty of maps."

"But this is so much more than just a map." He leaned forward and whispered. "It is told that whoever can decipher it can find their way to the treasure of tears." Now this got my interest.

"Okay you've got my attention." He smiled at this. "Does this treasure have anything to do with the so called curse of tears?"

"It has been said they go together."

"How much?"

"For you forty gold pieces."

"I'll pay you ten."

"Thirty-five."

"Fifteen."

"Thirty."

"Twenty-five and you can either take it or leave it." He nodded.

"I accept." We shook hands before I took out the needed gold and placed it on one of the crates before taking the map. "A pleasure doing business with you." I just nodded and began examining the map that seemed strangely familiar.

1 hour later

I had spent an hour in the market trying to figure out the map but still no luck in deciphering it. It was then I decided on going to a cliff on the island where I go to think whenever I'm here which up until a few months ago was to just keep watch for dragon hunters. We landed on the cliff as I let out a sigh and walked over to the edge smiling at the view of the forest, mountains and rock formations. I walked over to the ledge and sat down with my legs dangling over the side as I looked at them and thinking about the map and said.

"It's got to be something obvious that I'm missing." I took out the map and held it up. "What is the secret to solving you?" I lowered the map again bringing the view to my vision and that's when it all fell into place. "Of course." I looked at the map and compared it to the view. "All the signs on the map are landmarks and when they're all lined up the X is right there." I rolled up the map and mounted Toothless. "Come on guys, let's go see what this treasure and curse of tears is."

They all growled before we took off to the beach that was marked on the map with a big red X. When we got there, I noticed Sapphire seemed to be growling at something while gently clawing at the sand. I walked up to investigate and saw the sand was covering some type of murky glass. I then heard screams from below and quickly mounted Toothless before turning to Siren and saying.

"Cover us from above girl!" She nodded as I turned to Sapphire. "You're with me and Toothless and I want you to get whoever's down there out as fast as you can." She growled and nodded as I looked down at Toothless. "Let's go save whoever's in trouble."

He growled and nodded before we smashed through into what looked to be a hidden cavern full of treasure but my focus was on the three men who were backed into a corner by one mean looking dragon. It looked up to glare at us before firing a bright blast towards us. We dodged but when I looked back up I saw that the way we came in was now sealed from the blast but I didn't have much time to think about it before we came in for a landing. It glared at us as it fired another blast but we dodged out of the way. I watched as the blast struck a large pile of sand before much to my shock it bounced off of it and flew into another sand pile and bouncing off that one and heading straight towards the men. Luckily one of them picked up a shield and used it to block the blast that covered the shield in glass that looked to have been frozen on mid blast. I turned from the men to Sapphire and said.

"Get those men out of here."

She growled and nodded before flying towards the men and grabbing one of them with her tail and the other two with her front claws. She then flew up towards the glass part of the roof as Siren broke through the top and glared down into the cove at the dragon that looked up and roared at her. It was then she moved out of the way allowing the sun to shine down onto the dragon whose scales turned red as it screeched in pain before running into one of the sand piles and burrowing into it. I was surprised by this and knew I'd have to come back another time to study and train this dragon but for now I needed to make sure those men are all right. I mounted Toothless and said.

"Let's get out of here bud before that Sandbuster gets back." He growled before we flew out of through the hole in the roof where the men were waiting with my dragons. "Are you lot all right?" They all nodded before the one in the middle with a blond beard and brown tunic stepped forward.

"Thanks for saving us lad but I don't suppose you'd be willing to go back down there and collect our products for us?" I just glared at him as my dragons growled before he raised his hands. "Didn't think so." One with a brown beard and red tunic holding a sword stepped forward.

"Doesn't matter since I still got this little bejeweled beauty from down there." He swung the sword forward and stabbed it into the ground before my eyes widened as I quickly took the sword and examined it only to confirm my suspicions. "Hey I found it so it's mine." I looked back up at him.

"Where did you find this?"

"I found it down there among all the other treasures."

"But how did it get down there in the first place."

"What's the big deal, it's just a bejeweled sword."

"The big deal is this sword belonged to one of my worst enemies."

"So he must've dropped it here."

"The problem is I saw him fall into a volcano."

"What does this mean lad?"

"It means someone brought it here but the question is who." They each nodded.

"So can I get that back because I need something to help me regain my lost profits." I just glared at him making him back off. "I don't suppose you could at least give us a lift back to the markets could you?"

"Now that I can do."

1 hour later

The traders were back in the market and I was now with trader Johan discussing what happened on the beach. He smiled at me as he said.

"Oh, Master Hiccup leave it to you to solve even the most complex puzzles and solve the most difficult of problems."

"We still need to lock down the beaches where this dragon hunts so no other trader's fall into it trap."

"Don't you worry master Hiccup for the three men you rescued were more than happy to tell which beaches where they were caught by that beastly dragon."

"I'll bring in my gronkle and have him cut off the ocean entrances by forming a wall around them and keeping any ships from being able to enter."

"You truly are a kind soul master Hiccup for with all those beaches closed off to traffic the flow of commerce can continue."

"It's my pleasure Johan."

"But what do you intend to do about the Sandbuster?"

"I think the answer is clear on that Johan." He raised an eyebrow. "Without the traders wondering onto its beach it won't cause any trouble so it's best to just leave it be."

"I thought you'd do your best to train it to help you master Hiccup."

"Normally I would but this one is very powerful and very dangerous so I think it best I leave it alone for the time being till I can come up with a plan to handle and relocate it."

"Understandable Master Hiccup and I wish you luck in this endeavor." I nodded before I turned around to leave with Viggo's sword on my back.

2 weeks later

It's been two weeks since I fought the sandbuster and since then not much has happened besides me bringing in Coal to help seal off the beaches where the sandbuster hunts. I had paid the sandbuster a few visits but my first visit ended up with Siren needing to cocoon it after it tried to trap me in glass. After that I gave it a little dragon nip to calm it down and then it was a breeze once I made it clear to the sandbuster that I wasn't after its treasure. Once that was done I broke it out of its cocoon and found it to be a male with a nasty sunburnt spot on his back where the sunlight had hit him before. I was glad I brought some of Marina's saliva since it worked great on sunburns and when I applied it to the sanbusters burn it turned into a purring mess as it fell to the ground allowing me to rub the saliva in. Once that was done I was able to train him and give him the name Sandtrap because of his ability to trap people from beneath the though despite him being trained now I felt it best to let him stay where he was till I could build a lair for him to rest in back on my own island and besides that the hunters might come here so I might be able to use him to lure them into traps. Still though I did drop by his lair every three days to show I hadn't forgotten him and to continue to train him in battle tactics and study him in general.

Earlier today I received an invitation to from the berserkers to be their honored guest at something called inaugural berserker apprenticeship graduation ceremony. It was my chance to see Berserker island for the first time and I figured it be nice to see Dagur and Heather again so I was quick to accept but decided it best take Toothless since I doubt there'd be need for a full blown dragon fight. I did bring my god made weapons along with two gronkle iron swords strapped to my back and three paralyzing bombs on my belt though since if Dagur was any indication of these people I might end up in a brawl. While Dagur gave us the tour I saw he got Savage and accepted him into the tribe before taking me up to the dragon pens that looked a lot like mine with a skrill design. This is when I learnt the apprentice much to my shock was Gustav who had formed an ego that reminded me of a young Snotlout. After I left Toothless and Siren inside they gave me a tour of the village that was surprisingly pretty calm but I did notice how the guards seemed to be to put it bluntly, bored out of their skulls. Then came time for the ceremony where things took a turn for the worse since a coup lead by Savage took place. Me, Heather and Gustav were able to escape but Dagur was captured. This brings us to where I am now which is lying down on my stomach looking down at five guards in front of their dragon stable where not only Toothless resided but also Dagur's triple strike Tail-smasher and Windshear. I turned to Heather smiling as I said.

"Easy enough." Heather looked at me.

"You really think so Hiccup?" I turned to face her. "Hiccup I admit there aren't many but they'll still be tough to take down without alerting others." I smiled at her as I stood up while taking one of my paralyzing bombs.

"Don't worry since this little beauty will take care of them easy." She raised an eyebrow before I tossed the bomb at the guards before it landed at the feet of the one in the middle making them look down before Gustav asked.

"Is that it?" I raised my hand.

"Wait for it!" The guards looked up at us just as the bomb went off releasing the mist before all the guards froze in place. "They'll be paralyzed for at least an hour which will be more than enough time to tie them up, free our dragons and get Dagur out." They nodded before we walked down the path to the stables but when I opened the door I found the place was loaded with dragonroot gas as our dragons slowly made their way out I held Toothless' head. "You alright bud?" He let out a low croon before I turned back to Heather who was tying up the guards and Gustav who was watching. "The dragon roots left them too week to fight." Gustav asked.

"What do we do then?"

"We free Dagur and fight without the dragons."

"But we don't stand a chance against an army." I smirked at him.

"I've been in worse situations and come out on top so come on so we can free Dagur." He gulped as we walked away but not before me and Heather told our dragons to feel better and keep watch from above.

Ten minutes later

We were luckily able to make it to the dungeon where Dagur was being kept where there were eight guards keeping an eye on things. I smiled at the sight of them all in a group and took off one of my paralyzing bombs before giving it a gentle toss towards them and smiled as it rolled on the ground. It came to stop in the middle of them before exploding as they all looked down at it leaving them all paralyzed. Heather looked at me smiling as she said.

"Brother, one of these days you've got to show me how to make those bombs of yours." I smiled at her.

"Sure Heather but let's save our brother first." She smiled and nodded as we made our way out of the bushes and made our way past the paralyzed warriors and up to the door of the dungeon where a guard opened the door just as I reached it but I just smiled at him. "Were you lot looking for me?"

I then delivered a hard punch to the face with my prosthetic sending him flying back into the cell as another guard stood up taking one look at his downed comrade before looking back up at me. He growled and charged at me with his sword raised but when he brought it down on me I stopped it with my prosthetic. I then raised an eyebrow at him as I snapped his sword as if it were a twig before saying.

"Nice try man." I then ducked down and gave him a hard punch in the gut making him fall to the ground unconscious as I walked around him and up to the cell where Dagur was surprisingly meditating. "Hey brother, how've you been holding up?" He opened up and smiled before standing up with his hands spread out as he yelled.

"BROTHER, YOU CAME!"

"Of course I did and don't worry about our sister." I walked over to the unconscious guard and collected the keys to the cells. " She's outside with Gustav tying up the guards." I walked up to the cell and began unlocking it. "Gustav's been shaking and near tears the entire way down here." I opened the cell. "Don't know why you think so highly of him or think he's Berserker material."

"I don't!" I raised an eyebrow. "He's only here because Stoick needed a break from the little beast, the entire apprentice program is made up and a sham."

"That explains so much." I took my two gronkle-iron swords off my back and offered them to Dagur. "You're going to need these to help fight the men." He smiled at the swords before looking at me and frowning.

"What about you brother?" I smiled and released my star sword.

"Don't worry I'm good."

"Brother when this is over you has got to tell me how you do that."

"Let's focus on taking down Savage and his men for now." He nodded as we walked out to meet up with Heather and Gustav. "My best guess is Savage is where the ceremony took place." They nodded as Heather said.

"If that's the case the best route would be through the village but it's full of Savage's men." Dagur smiled.

"Well that makes things a whole lot more interesting doesn't it." I smiled as I unfolded my eagle shield.

"Agreed brother." I noticed Gustav eyeing my shield before he asked.

"Hiccup would it be alright if I used your shield?" I shook my head.

"Sorry Gustav but the weapons I have like my eagle shield will only work for me." He looked down hearing this. "Don't worry though since you can get some weapons from the downed guards." He hesitantly nodded but I could see the fear in his eyes so I decided to take pity on him. "Gustav while we handle the men in the village we're going to need you to stay here and guard the cells." He smiled and nodded.

"I won't let you guys down." I nodded before I walked away with Dagur and Heather at my sides.

10 minutes later

We were now walking into the village that was now full of guards but fortunately none of them had noticed us so I walked up behind one of them. I tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention but as soon as he turned around I punched him in the face with my prosthetic knocking him out cold. This also got the attention of all the other men as I then charged at them alongside with Dagur and Heather. The men charged at us as we split up to take on the men separately before I punched one of them in the face knocking him out. One of the men with a spear charged at me as I readied my sword that I was quick to bring it down as he tried to block it with the staff of his spear but my sword just cut it in two before I smashed the berserker back with my shield. I charged at the next man but was sure to run over the guy and step on both his stomach and head before I rammed into the side of the next guy with my shield knocking him into a wall. I charged into the front of another one with my shield before using it to lift him up and toss him over my head and into two other men who were battling Dagur. One then charged at me with a sword but when he swung at me I swung my sword back for our swords to meet and for his sword to snap in two as the momentum carried him forward allowing me to elbow him in the back of the head. Another one charged at me with his sword raised but this one I just blocked his blow with my shield creating a shockwave that sent him flying back into a wall. Two more men charged at me but before they could reach me a plasma blast hit the ground between them sending them both flying to the ground unconscious. I looked up at the cliff where the blast came from and smiled as I saw Toothless looking down at us before I signaled him to blast some more of them men who were fighting Dagur and Heather.

With Toothless' help we made it to where Savage was in no time before we charged into the arena for a fight. Savage was sitting on the throne doing nothing when we charged in but when he saw us he sent his guards at us. I slashed my sword up to meet the sword of another man and snapped his sword in two before I kicked him in the stomach and ducked underneath another mans sword as I swept my leg underneath him sending him tumbling down. Before I could ready to take on another guard however Savage said.

"Stand down, all of you!"

I looked up to see he had Heather with a sword at her throat so I dropped my weapons but felt the weight of one of my scimitar throwing knives fall into my prosthetic hand. Savage chuckled but before he could give out any orders though I threw the knife at the sword in his hand. The blade snapped and shocked Savage giving Heather the chance to elbow him in the gut and get away from him before she swept her leg underneath him knocking him down before she pinned him to the ground. Dagur just walked past him and hopped onto his throne and said.

"It's good to be me." Savage just glared up at him and groaned.

"I still hate your laugh."

Morning

I was on my way back to the edge after my trip to Berserk island which I'm sure I'd never forget but could you blame me? My first trip to Berserker Island was rather interesting to say the least with the coup happening and dealing with both Savage and his men. Once Savage and his men were locked up Dagur said he'd be sure to send a terror mail to Alvin since he'd probably be happy to have Savage and his men back in his dungeon and under his care once more. When it came to the ceremony much to my surprise Dagur gave the award, which was a solid gold bust of his head, to me claiming it was for true battle skill, insane bravery and true Berserker attitude and traits. I looked out at the horizon and knew that the hunters were still out there and knew I would need the help of the Berserkers, Berk, Outcasts and the Defenders of the wing in truly defeating them since from what I could tell the new leader was ruthless. I just hoped I'd be able to take him down before what he did to Garf happens to any other dragons.

AN: Hey all I hope you all liked the chapter and will remember to review on your thoughts of this chapter. I hope you're looking forward to the next chapter because he's meeting the wingmaidens. Along with that it might be the chapter where he faces Krogan and his flyers for the first time but the question is will this new Hiccup lose the first battle. I hope you all have a nice day and please keep your reviews kind.
