Chapter 7: THE FORCE PROVIDES

Four months had passed since the Jedi Order's relocation to Tython. The Jedi had settled into their new home, a sanctuary hidden from the rest of the galaxy. The planet was teeming with life, a lush paradise that seemed untouched by the ravages of time and conflict. The air was rich with the scent of blooming flowers and the sounds of wildlife. The Force was palpable here, a vibrant energy that seemed to hum in the air and pulse beneath the ground.

The Jedi Order was flourishing in their new home, but they did not forget the galaxy. Missions were regularly being sent to answer the numerous calls for help sent to the order.

The galaxy was starting to realize that the Jedi were truly willing to help everyone, no matter the origin or state of wealth.

Surprisingly to the Jedi, the donations from the galaxy had surpassed ten times what the Republic had offered as a budget. Also, more Families were willing to give their children for training to the Order, especially since it was explained to them that they could now stay in touch with their children through holos and scheduled visits by a knight. No outsider was allowed on their new site for security reasons.

The Jedi had also discovered a replica of the Room of a Thousand Fountains, twice the size of the old one, within the new temple. Which was a surprise for everyone and made Master Yoda jump uncharacteristically for joy. The room was a massive greenhouse, filled with waterfalls and a vast array of flora.

Meditative areas, ponds, and stone walkways were scattered throughout the chamber, serving as a meditative retreat for the members of the Jedi Order. Master Yoda had insisted that all the plants and animals that could be transported from the old Room of a Thousand Fountains be brought to Tython.

And he was rewarded as the new room was spacious enough to accommodate both the new and old temple species.

Flashback to the day of the announcement

The day the Jedi delegation came back from Coruscant to announce the cessation, all Jedi were summoned in the new hall. The room was five times the size of the one on Coruscant, with large glass windows all around and in the ceiling, giving the impression of being outside in nature.

Master Windu stood before the crowd, his voice echoing through the vast hall.

-"We have ceased our affiliation with the Republic." he announced, his voice steady despite the gravity of his words. Shock rippled through the room.

-"We will continue to serve the galaxy, but we will do so independently, free from political ties.

He took a moment to pause.

- "It's time to tell you the real reason for our relocation. The Sith have returned.

Gasps filled the room. Younglings started crying and padawans and knights were struggling with their emotions. The Force easily supported all that needed it and calmed the room in no time due to the rich and strong atmosphere.

When the crowd was somewhat silent again, processing the news, Revan stepped forward, his presence commanding the attention of every Jedi in the room.

- "Two of them are currently on Coruscant and were… are planning the purge of the Jedi. The Force saved us temporarily by sending me and will guide us through difficult but necessary changes. But, we will have to face the Sith order eventually. Therefore, we need to prepare to embark on a new path." he declared.

-"We are dissolving the corps into the Jedi, introducing specialisation classes anyone can follow. All will be known as Jedi and must learn at least one combat form. No one will be forced out at 13. Masters who have a senior padawan approaching knighthood can take a new padawan to train. That way, the senior padawan can help train the new generation and learn to prepare for his/her future role of master. This will also develop sisterhood and brotherhood."

He paused, letting his words sink in. The crowd was silent, hanging on his every word.

- "We are also changing the code. The old one serves neither of us and our era anymore. The jedi path is one of compassion, unconditional love but also dedication, passion. Cutting ourselves from emotions is not the jedi way. Learning to feel and regain control when overwhelmed is the way. Attachment through unconditional love is a strength face with hate and anger" he continued, his voice resonating with conviction.

- "From now on, Jedi can have families when they have at least reached knighthood and balance in the Force. This to assure that every jedi knows how to deal with strong emotions, pains that usually lead to a fall to the dark side."

He then recited the new code, his voice echoing through the hall.

"Our new code is as follows:

I am a servant of the Force, a guardian of balance.

I strive for knowledge, acknowledging that ignorance is part of the journey.

I embrace passion, aiming for serenity.

I acknowledge that emotions are natural and should be expressed in a balanced way for peace to be achieved.

I uphold harmony in the midst of chaos.

I understand that death is a part of life, and in death, there is the Force.

Light and dark exist together, but darkness or light must not prevail over one another.

I am a jedi, a beacon in the darkness, a champion of balance in the Force."

The crowd was silent for a moment processing the new code. Smiles started emerging on numerous faces and some felt more free, less constricted, then the room erupted in cheers. The atmosphere was filled with joy and acceptance.

Some Jedi looked shocked, others confused, but many faces lit up with relief. Revan raised his hand, and the room fell silent again.

"We will face many challenges in the coming years." he said.

"The Sith are probably rebuilding their order in response to our relocation. We will also face criminal and slave empires like the Black Sun, the Zygerrians, and the Hutts who will probably ally with the Sith if given the chance. Our two main goals in the coming months are to train to become strong warriors of light again and, to find a way to turn Tython into an impenetrable sanctuary for all Jedi. We are hidden now but it will not last."

He paused, looking over the crowd.

"Thankfully, the Force has already provided a way for the second goal." he said, a smile playing on his lips.

"It has given us a way to find the legendary Katana fleet."

A wave of awe mixed with disbelief swept through the room. The Katana fleet, a legendary fleet of two hundred Dreadnought-class heavy cruisers, was a myth among the Jedi. Revan's announcement was met with excitement and also doubt.

Revan went on to explain that the fleet could provide a powerful planetary shield for Tython which elicited an eruption in cheers, the atmosphere filled with hope for the future.

End of Flashback

Now, four months later, Revan, Dooku, and Plo Koon were preparing to embark on a journey to find the Katana fleet. Yoda and Windu were there to see them off, their faces filled with hope.

-"With you, May the Force be." Yoda said, his voice filled with warmth. Windu nodded in agreement, a rare smile on his face.

-"Thank you, Masters." Revan replied, his voice filled with gratitude. He turned to leave, but not before Yoda made a joke that had everyone laughing, even Windu, though he tried to hide it behind a stern facade.

The journey to the Katana fleet was calm. The three Jedi spent their time training, meditating, resting, and playing sabacc. Dooku's impenetrable sabacc face was a source of amusement for the others.

-"You could at least pretend to be surprised when you win, Dooku." Revan teased, his eyes twinkling with mirth.

-"What would be the fun in that?" Dooku replied, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

On the third day, the ship jumped out of hyperspace on its own, startling the Jedi aboard. They rushed to the pilot seat, only to be met with an amazing spectacle.

Countless gigantic creatures, purrgils, were flying in space around the ship. All 3 Jedi were in awe of the majesty and size of the creatures.

The Force murmured that one would lead them to the fleet. So, they started following one that was circling the ship. They took it at a sign but to be honest, due to the size they could not be sure that was actually what it was doing.

The journey lasted for about ten hours and right when they were starting to wonder if they had followed the wrong purrgil, before their eyes laid the Katana fleet.

The sight of the fleet filled them with awe and joy. After a bit of celebration, they set to work to reach each Dreadnought-class cruiser and, connect it to a navigation system to bring the entire fleet back to Tython.

Two weeks after their departure, the sight of 200 massive ships descending on Tython was met with dread at first, then cheers of celebration when the jedi realized what they were seeing.

The former exploration corps knights and mechanics were probably the loudest, and the entire Jedi Council waited for the fleet to land with smiles on all their faces.

The Jedi Order had found its fleet, and with it, a new sense of hope and purpose. They now had the means to protect themselves and act more actively in the galaxy.

The Force had provided, and the Jedi were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
