Ricardo wakes up groggy and sore, blinking lazily into the faint light coming through their blackout curtains. He mumbles and pats around the bed, not terribly surprised to find himself alone. He sighs and buries his face in his pillow, allowing himself to drift for a little longer before finally pushing himself upright and hanging his head, staring down at his knees. He'd wrestled both nights this past weekend, and his body shows it- bruises and cuts mar his skin in unexpected places, Ricardo frowning as he pokes listlessly at one of the marks on his thigh. "Damn," he grumbles, slowly getting to his feet and staggering to the bathroom.

After changing into something he thinks is clean, he makes his way slowly to the kitchen, blinking slowly. "Morning," he mumbles, squinting between Alicia and Sofia as he settles at the table.

"Aw, someone's feeling the post-wrestling hangover," Alicia teases lightly, walking over to run her fingers through his hair, the rasp of her nails against his scalp comforting. He leans into her side and hums, relieved as she continues to massage the tension out of his neck, down to his shoulders.

"Where are the babies?" he mumbles, still avoiding the sun shining through the thin kitchen curtains.

"Andre is at preschool," Alicia says. "The twins are napping, but will probably need fed soon. You feel up to helping with that?"

"Maybe," he says. He pulls back and looks up at her. "I forget every time how bruised up I get after wrestling."

She clucks. "If you want a massage later, just let me know, ok?"

"Ok," he says tiredly.

She cups his face and kisses him before moving to join Sofia in preparing bottles for the babies. "Do you want to help feed them when they're awake?" Alicia calls over to him, shaking out some of the milk onto her wrist to check its temperature. "Sofia will be going to get Andre from preschool then, so I could use an extra pair of hands, if you're not too tired to help."

"I'd be happy to," Ricardo tells her, resting his hands out on the table and smiling. "You know, some day we should bring the kids to California, once they're old enough to remember it."

"They could meet heir grandmother, aunt and cousins," Alicia says. "I'd like that. I bet you miss it more than you realize sometimes."

"Yeah," Ricardo sighs. "Wrestling there over the weekend definitely reminded me. Not that I don't love it here, in Pennsylvania here with you all."

Alicia smiles, leaning in to kiss him. "I know," she says fondly. "I am glad that those Californians didn't try keeping you to themselves."

"To be honest, sp am I," he says, running his fingers through her hair and guiding her back in for another kiss. "Let's do this," he says with a smile up at her.
