All in all, the twins aren't that fussy, Ricardo thinks, rocking them quietly in his arms. Yeah, they're still not quite at the stage to sleep through the night, but even when they're hungry or in need of attention, they only let out a couple of cries here and there, just enough to get his or Alicia's notice, then they're right back to silent staring. It's almost creepy but handy when he just wants to lay in bed next to a sleeping Alicia and hold them close when his own insomnia has reared its ugly head again.

He watches them, he watches Alicia, he thinks about Andre down the hall, and Sofia puttering around in the kitchen one last time before she goes to bed too. He smiles a little and shakes his head. "I'm way too lucky for my own good," he murmurs to the watchful Mariana. Clara is tucked into his other arm, fast asleep, breathing steadily against his wrist.

"We're the lucky ones," Alicia's groggy voice startles him and he gapes down at her.

"Did I wake you? I'm so sorry," he whispers.

She shakes her head, moving to sit up. "Call it mama's intuition," she says, making grabbing fingers for Mariana and cooing when Ricardo hands her over. "You hungry, little one?" she asks, guiding the baby into position and smiling when she almost immediately latches. "Yeah, I thought so."

They lay there side by side, quietly watching as Mariana begins to slowly drift in and out between suckling, and Clara just continues to breathe deeply, not bothered by her sister or anything else going on around her.

"Ricardo," Alicia says softly after a few moments.

"Yeah?" he asks, only just able to look away from his daughters enough to take in the soft, pensive look on Alicia's face. "What is it?"

"I know we kind of talked in the past about three children being enough," Alicia begins hesitantly. "But what would you think if I said I wanted more?"

All Ricardo can do is gape at her, all thoughts grinding to a halt. In fact, it feels like all of his senses have deadened at this question, the only thing somewhat working being his eyes as his gaze shifts from her to the twins and back. "What?" he finally asks intelligently.
