Chapter 200

Hiccups POV:

It's been a month since my birthday and in that time not much has happened since things had been pretty peaceful and the only thing that's happened to me is a little teasing from the older males the day after my birthday. I couldn't blame them though since after the night before I couldn't help but smile the entire day and this was a smile that all the married men knew too well from their years of marriage what the smile meant. Besides that, the only other eventful thing to happen is Heatwave and Sahara finally let their little ones out of the nest to play and explore but they weren't allowed out of the desert section or their parents sight. This did give Twilight some new playmates which she was grateful for since the other hatchlings often had trouble keeping up with her while the sandphantom hatchlings had no trouble.

Speaking of the little ones Adal's pups had settled down well into their new lives after spending the first week whining and crying since what I assume was them missing their mother. Fortunately, the females in the pack were able to sooth the little ones with Adal helping and what I assume letting the little ones know that he was their father and he'd be watching over them from now on. After that rough first week they began exploring the forest with their father escorting them everywhere showing how protective he was of his newfound pups. Once they were settled in, I was finally able to fully examine and name the little ones so I could know what I was dealing with fully.

The first is a male who had fur that's black as night with crimson red underbelly, and it's because of this I named him Tartarus as his fur color reminded me of it. The second male is an exact replica of his father Hríð meaning storm since I felt he was going to be like his father and make large snowstorms when he grows third and final cub was the only female who has icy blue fur color with a white underbelly and because of this I named her Mizore, after the snow woman who I met on my first trip to Japan. The three were always being watched and I really can't blame him since they were little balls of energy, running around everywhere whenever they could escape their watchers.

Other than that, I'd been finding ways to occupy my time such as designing new automatons, going through new ninja training, working in my forge, playing with the little ones, flying Toothless and of course, spending time with my wives. Now I was in the ice-covered section of my island on my sleigh with Hubbard pulling it as I steered him while wearing my arctic wolf armor. My reason for doing this is I just enjoyed the ice and snow since to some this landscape would be nothing, but an ice filled waste land but to me it was something that held its own beauty. I steered Hubbard towards the green clearing in the middle of this white paradise and smiled when it came into view since this was one of the few places on my island where I could truly feel at peace and forget about everything that makes me worry.

I parked the sleigh on the edge before I hopped off and walked over to Hubbard before rubbing his head while thanking him for the help in bringing my sleigh. I made my way into the green clearing until I reached the crystal in the center and activated it allowing me to enjoy the lights in the sky that it created. I took a few steps away from the crystal before having the hood of my armor come back and allowing my body to collapse down onto the soft grass while allowing me to look up at the lights in the sky and I smiled knowing this moment might not last but I enjoyed the peace it offered.

Sadly, as expected my peace and serenity was ended but it was a lot sooner than I expected and not by what I was expecting as the thing that ruined my peace were four simultaneous roars. Three of these roars I recognized as coming from not three separate dragons but one dragon with three heads while the fourth roar came from the dragon its species was known to hate. I immediately got up just in time to see my Winters wings fly over me and knew Volcanus wouldn't be far behind and if it was the same thing that was bothering them, I needed to get to him first. I quickly began running towards the tunnel opening where I knew he'd come out quickly forming the ice wolf around me to help me move faster through the area. When I reached the edge of the island I arrived just as Volcanus was coming towards the opening and jumped off the cliff above the opening dropping the ice wolf around me as I landed on the back of Volcanus' head and held onto his horns. He didn't seem to notice though as I held on tight and muttered to myself.

"I better let the girls know I'm going to be late for dinner." I looked down at Volcanus who was chasing my winters wings. "What is going on with the two of you."

1 day later

We've been flying the entire night and it was these times I was greatful for my ninja training as one of the things I was trained to do is go past twenty-four hours without sleep. We'd caught up with my winters wing a few minutes after leaving and entered the frozen parts where I discovered Surtr and his fire giants months ago and I knew if we were here then it would mean something big was happening. I looked to the skies and saw a lot of dark clouds were circling and knew immediately something was here and it was going to be big trouble for all of Midgard if I didn't stop it.

It was then I could vaguely hear screams of pain in the distance along with loud roars of pain that sounded like dragons and I knew right there that someone was up to something involving some big dragons. I looked ahead and used the eye of the dragon to see what was going on and saw a giant tree but what surprised me was this tree was in the same crater where the fire giants were and it was huge with bark that looked black as charcoal. Along with this it had seven giant glowing yellow pods that had black branches wrapped around them, hanging from its branches while they expanded and shrunk as if they were beating hearts. I couldn't tell at this distance, but I knew there was something in each of the pods and as we got closer the screaming got louder making my skin crawl and for some reason my prosthetic began to ache. It got so bad I lost my focus for a moment which was all that was needed for me to fall of the back of Volcanus and begin plummeting back to earth. It was moments like these I was truly greatful for my wings which I quickly spread out and glided down the rest of the way to the ground.

When I hit the ground, I quickly rushed after my dragons to see what was going on with them but stopped two miles away from the tree which is when they reached the tree. I could only watch in horror as the branches of the tree came to life and launched themselves at my dragons before they had the chance to react or fight back. I could only stand there and watch as the branches cocooned them completely before they expanded with the gaps being filled by some strange material as they took the form of new pods that were pulled back to the tree while they to, began to beat like hearts. It was then that the roars of pain came from my own dragons and I felt my blood boil but knew I needed to first find out what I was dealing with or there'd be trouble. I was greatful my arctic wolf armor allowed me decent camouflage in the snow, so I'd be able to get in close and see what was going on with that tree.

10 minutes later

It's been ten minutes since I reached the crater and looking down into it and I did not like what I was seeing one bit as the tree was growing right out of the pit that was created by the fire giant spike they called 'The blazing destroyer'. Anything coming out of that pit was without a doubt big time trouble and I did not like the look of the ones surrounding it since if there's one thing, I know it's guys in black cloaks who are also chanting at something that looks like trouble is bad news. Fortunately, there weren't that many of those people on the edges of the crater so sneaking past them wasn't that tough and I was able to slide down the slope towards the tree and take cover behind a large piece of snow that was pushed out by the roots of the tree. When I peeked over, I saw one of the cloaked had a silver insignia stitched into the back was giving orders to them marking them as the leader.

They then turned away from the men and made their way into an opening in the tree which is when I made my move from behind the snow and followed him in. The inside of the tree was just as dark as the outside with the only light source being small glowing grey pods that were in the roots but what made this place creepier was the screams of pain were louder. We eventually came to a large clearing like room with a throne made of roots growing out of the back wall with a single twisted root forming into the back of the throne. I watched as the figure sat down on the throne before intertwining their fingers and stare into space for a few moments before they spoke in a voice that was smooth yet hid a razor-sharp edge to it but what shocked me was what he said.

"You know Hiccup, it is considered rude to hide in the shadows instead of coming to greet your host." My eyes widened when I realized that they knew I was there but seeing no point in hiding I walked out of my hiding place and asked.

"How'd you know I was there when I was trying to be stealthy."

"When your dragons arrived, I knew you would be near and although your skills in stealth are impressive, I can always sense when one is near, especially someone like you."

"Someone like me?"

"Hiccup, after all your incredible deeds did you honestly think the fire giants would be the only ones who'd know about you." The figure stood up. "Now I believe you have questions."

"Yeah, and one of them is who are you, what are you doing in this wretched place and what is this tree doing to my dragons." They smirked. "I am Khelthrai, leader of my people." He walked up to the wall gently patting it. "This tree is imbued with the magic of my people, but it still needs a source of nutrients which is where your dragons and the other seven come in." I raised an eyebrow.

"Other seven?" He turned back to me.

"One from each of the nine realms allowing the roots of my tree to reach into each of them using the essence of the dragons so me and my people may have access to them while the tree does what it was created to do."

"And what is it that this tree was made to do exactly?"

"It was built to give me and my people what we have always been denied." He reached for his hood. "A place in the nine realms and a home realm to call our own." He removed his hood to reveal a face that was grey as ash and looked to be have made from it, long hair that was as pale and white as the moon, yellow eyes with a blazing fury within them and pointed ears while a black crown with a single white gem in the center wrapped around his head.

"You're a dark elf!" He nodded.

"For centuries my people have been outcasts among all the races and forced to live in darkest depths of Niðavellir which we call Svartálfaheimr, where there are few resources and even less food." He began pacing. "Every day I was forced to watch as my people, both the elders and the children starved and suffered because we could not be accepted by any of the other races." He then smiled. "This tree is going to change all that though."

"Let me guess, you're going to wipe out all life in the other realms." He raised an eyebrow before chuckling.

"Oh no, nothing so simple as that." He walked back to his throne. "The tree shall inject its magic into the nine realms, slowly draining the life from those realms while poisoning the inhabitants making them weaker." He sat down. "I intend to drive them all to the darkest depths of their realms to scrounge off the scraps as my people were forced to for centuries." I raised an eyebrow.

"But why here, why would you plant your tree in Midgard in the crater where I defeated the fire giants of all places?"

"Hiccup do you know where Midgard resides on the tree of Yggdrasil." I nodded.

"It's in the centre of the tree."

"And because of that it possesses a connection to all the other realms while the pit created by the fire giants may not reach the core of this realm yet, it is close enough that the roots shall be able to reach it soon and then the conquest of the nine realms can truly begin." I quickly got into my fighting stance while activating my prosthetics dragon claw form.

"What makes you think I'm going to let you do that?"

"Now, now Hiccup, put the fists away as we have much to talk about."

"Forgive me but I prefer not to talk with crazy beings bent on poisoning the nine realms."

"I'm not too sure about that Hiccup, we're not so different you and I."

"What makes you think that?"

"I did some research on you after I heard about your fight with the fire giants and discovered who you were before you became the hero of so many lands." He looked me in the eyes and continued. "Back when you were known as Hiccup the Useless." I clenched my fists at the sound of my former title. "You were like me and the rest of my people." He began waving his hands. "Unwanted, unloved and hated by all those around you, forcing you to live like an outcast on the island where you should have felt the safest in the world."

"What's your point?" He sighed.

"My point is despite all your hardships you never gave up and that is the marks of someone I could use as my second in command." My eyes widened. "Think about it Hiccup, we'd make quite a team and the gods who used you as a pawn would be nothing more than weaklings so you would no longer need to fear taking your revenge." I raised an eyebrow.

"My revenge?"

"You honestly expect me to believe that you've truly forgiven those people after all they did to you in your life."

"No, I can never fully forgive them, but I've learned to move on with my life and try to get along with them." I then got into my battle stance. "And I'm not going to let you hurt them or anyone else in any of the nine realms." He sighed.

"I'm disappointed Hiccup but I cannot say that I am surprised." He then got a wide smile that I didn't like. "It's a good thing I came prepared." He then snapped his fingers and the roots parted to reveal multiple dark elves wearing just grey pants but all armed with weapons. "KILL HIM WHERE HE STANDS!" I just smirked knowing that he was making the same mistake as all the other enemies I've faced and that is, he's underestimating me.

Nobodies POV:

Five archers fired their arrows at Hiccup, but he just smirked and swung his prosthetic hand down while releasing the threads that came down on the arrows. The arrows split in two before the threads were maneuverer towards the bows cutting right through the threads of the bows as if they were made of paper with the wood following. This surprised the archers giving Hiccup the opportunity to catch them by surprise, which was an opportunity he was all too happy to take. He quickly activated his ox flame boots speed mode and ran right up and past them delivering a powerful punch with his prosthetic right into their faces knocking them out cold before reaching his original place just as the bodies of the elves hit the floor.

Hiccup smiled at their downed form before quickly stepping back to avoid the dagger of another elf who then moved his arm to slash at his chest. Hiccup was quicker though and grabbed the elf's arm with his prosthetic and quickly twisting it behind his back making him scream in pain as he dropped the dagger into Hiccups waiting hand. Hiccup then quickly turned around with the elf as another elf leapt at him from behind before he let go of the elf he was holding and stepped to the side. This resulted in the elf that jumped at him tackling his comrade instead while Hiccup turned at an archer on one of the higher roots who was readying an arrow and threw the knife nailing the root just below the elves foot making him stumble back and fall off the root and onto another charging elf.

Hiccup dropped to the ground avoiding a swing from a short sword being wielded by another elf before his legs were swept right from underneath him from Hiccups leg sweep. He didn't get the chance to stand up though as Hiccup slammed his prosthetic fist into his gut knocking the air right out of him before Hiccup slid him back into another charging elf with two daggers tripping him. He then released three of his scimitars throwing knives and turned around throwing them at three archers who were preparing their arrows. They were quickly carried back by the scimitar throwing knives thanks to their lunar mirage ability pinning the elves completely to the roots of the tree but when they hit Hiccup had to cover his ears to try and block the scream that followed. This scream was slightly louder than the others and filled with more pain which is why Hiccup was forced to cover his ears but the elves just looked at him in confusion showing they couldn't hear the screams that seemed to surround Hiccup.

As few of the smarter dark elves saw this as an opportunity to get Hiccup while he was down and one single elf took this opportunity before the others. He jumped above Hiccup with his sword raised but before he could bring it down on Hiccups head the screaming quieted down allowing Hiccup to tuck and roll out of the way of the strike. Hiccup then quickly pointed his fist towards the elf as he switched out the hand for his flail head and launched it right at the elf throwing him back into the wall with the ball going all the way out with the ten foot chain before he swung the flail to the side. He was able to throw three more elves back and out of the fight before Hiccup pulled the chain back into his arm half way and then swung it over his head and into the ground behind him causing a shockwave, throwing two more elves back into the wall.

Hiccup then pulled the flail head back into its original place at the end of his wrist just as Hiccup turned around to grab the wrist of another elf who tried to stab him in the back with a dagger. He twisted the elves wrist making him cry out in pain as Hiccup pulled his prosthetic arm back and then delivered a powerful punch with the flail head right into the elves gut sending him flying back into the wall. It was then as another elf came at him from the side with a sword Hiccup traded in the flail for his regular claw allowing him to grab the blade with it right before he yanked it forward forcing the elf to stumble towards him allowing Hiccup to deliver a hard headbutt knocking the elf out cold. Hiccup was quick to lift up the elves unconscious body over his shoulder and throw it into two more charging elves that had their weapons drawn. Hiccup then turned to Khelthrai as he asked.

"Are there any other warriors you'd like to put up against me." He smirked at Hiccup.

"Warriors no, but a beast I captured on my last trip to Alfhiem."

He snapped his fingers and the roots on the upper wall behind his thrown opened up to reveal the silhouette of a dragon that quickly leapt out of the opening and in front of the throne to reveal a dragon. This dragon looked to have teeth and claws made out of petrified wood while its scales looked like they were made from birch tree bark that had been caught in a forest fire. The wings had holes at the ends of them, but they were so few and small they wouldn't affect the dragons flying and the eyes were grey with red slit pupils that were glaring at Hiccup. The most surprising part about this dragon though is it bore a great resemblance to a nightfury in its body shape making Hiccup stare in shock. Khelthrai smirked as he walked up next to the dragon petting it as he said.

"Impressive, isn't it?" Hiccup shook out of his shock. "This dragon from Alfhiem is known as a floral fury and knowing about you I figured it best I bring it, but it did need some alterations to suit the purpose I have given it."

"And what purpose is that?"

"Hiccup, you know some enemies who've fallen will always try to continue to resist." He rubbed the floral furies head. "That's why I have this dragon, to help deal with them and when the dragons who are feeding the tree are done, they'll be just like this dragon." He gave cruel grin. "Completely unable to resist and forced to bow down to me." Hiccup clenched his fist in anger due to his hatred for any form of mind control as Khelthrai then chuckled. "Take a good look Hiccup as this will be your fat as well as all others in the nine realms, including all your beloved gods." He walked back to his throne and sat back down while letting out a silent chuckle that seemed to echo through the room. "All their power will be drained to feed my creation while what remains shall become my slaves." He then turned to Hiccup. "And my first conquest of this worlds race shall be you." He then pointed at Hiccup. "SIEZE HIM BEAST!"

The dragon turned to Hiccup with its eyes narrowing in glare before it let out a roar that nearly blocked out the screams that was still ringing in Hiccups ears but this time a screech from a dragon in pain joined it. It let out a blast of some sort of transparent liquid at Hiccup who quickly tuck and rolled out of the way towards the wall and watched as the goo hit the floor it just sat there and sizzled before Hiccup turned back to the dragon that pounced at him. Hiccup dived out of the way and pointed his prosthetic at the dragon as he readied his disk launcher before firing three bolas at it hoping to restrain it. The dragon however was quick to react and dived to the ground and sliding to the side so the bolas completely missed it before it let out another blast of the goo from its mouth.

Hiccup jumped back against the wall to avoid the goo not wanting to discover what would happen if that stuff touched him but when he hit the wall the roots tried to reach out to grab him. He quickly pulled away though avoiding them but felt his prosthetic pulse as if it was trying to tell him something, but he was pulled out of this thought path when the dragon pounced at him again with its fangs bared. Hiccup waited until the beast was only a foot away from him before he quickly side stepped avoiding the blow while giving him a short moment to launch a bola at its muzzle just as it closed. He smiled when the bola hit its target and wrapped around the muzzle ensuring the dragon wouldn't be able to snap its jaws at him or launch any more of its goo at him. The dragon immediately began to try and break the bola off and Hiccup, seeing it was distracted took the opportunity to launch five more bolas at its body with all hitting their targeted spots leaving the dragon completely immobilized and on the floor.

As it lay there though the screeches of pain mixed with the screaming became louder as the pain in Hiccups prosthetic returned and got even worse than before. Hiccup dropped to his knees gritting his teeth in pain as his prosthetic forcefully turned to into its plant form and then tried to drag him towards the wall. Khelthrai watched as this happened with interest while going through all he knew about Hiccup from what he'd been told from all his comrades and spies before his eyes widened in realization at what that prosthetic was capable of. He knew that what was about to happen could be potentially ruin his plans making him run towards Hiccup who was close to the wall as he yelled out.

"NO, STAY AWAY FROM MY TREE!"

His orders fell on deaf ears though as Hiccup knew that his prosthetic wouldn't be acting this way for no reason so he just went with the flow and allowed his prosthetic to pull him to the wall right before the roots took hold and pulled him in. All Hiccup saw though was a blinding white flash before he found himself floating in the black void that was the tree with multiple roots spread around him with blood red energy rushing through them. The sound of screaming echoed through the void but this time it was louder than ever making Hiccup more eager to find the source to end the screaming. He looked around for the source of the scream until his eyes landed on an area in the void where roots were wrapped around things forming cocoons of some sort. Hiccup floated himself towards them hearing growls from them but the thing that he was focused on wasn't the cocoons but the large seed pod that had thorn covered roots sprouting from it with a dark aura surrounding it.

It was then another scream of pain echoed through the void as the roots forming the cocoons seemed to tighten as more roots slowly pushed out of the pod while the ones already sprouting out grew longer and larger with more thorns. Hiccup floated himself over to the pod as the screaming echoed while it mixed with the dragons' roars of pain that he now realized were coming from the cocoons while the screams came from the pod. Hiccup floated himself up to the pod and carefully pressed his prosthetic hand up against it before the pod gave a faint glow as the voice of an elderly man echoed through the void.

"Welcome, Hiccup Haddock." Hiccup pulled his prosthetic back in surprise before he asked.

"What are you?"

"I am a pod formed from the essence of the Yggdrasill, of the world."

"If what you're saying is true than why are you doing this, why are you helping the dark elves destroy the nine realms?"

"I don't have a choice." A small pulse of light left the pod. "The magic of Khelthrai and his dark elf mystics is forcing me to use my own magic against the main body and mind of the tree." Another pulse of light left the pod. "I don't want any of this, I just want to become one with the main body once more." It then screamed again as roots extended from it and when they stopped the pod continued. "That is why I called to you through your prosthetic." The roots then extended again as the ones forming the cocoon tightened causing more roars of pain from dragons.

"How do I stop all of this?"

"Destroy my pod and the roots shall shrivel while the tree shall perish."

"But what about you, won't you die with the tree?"

"I appreciate your concern Hiccup but this pod that is my body may be destroyed but the magic that I am shall return to the tree from which it was stolen from and I shall live on." Hiccup nodded as the pod let out another scream of pain as the roots extended tightening the cocoons. "We do not have much time left before the dragons are completely drained of their power and the damage done to Yggdrasill is irreversible so please stop the destruction of the realms and end my suffering." Hiccup quickly asked.

"How do I destroy the pod."

"The key to doing so is to destroy it from the inside."

Hearing this Hiccup looked down at his wooden prosthetic before turning the hand into a wooden spike and slamming it into the pod making the scream louder than before as Hiccups entire body filled with pain due to the dark magic trying to eject his arm. Despite the immense pain, Hiccup kept forcing the spike into the pod making the screams of pain louder as he grit his teeth, doing his best not to scream. He tried to keep his mind off the pain by focusing on the task at hand making roots extend from the part of his prosthetic that was inside the pod and as he expected the pod began to break apart as screams filled the void before the pod let out one final scream as it exploded. The blast succeeded in throwing Hiccup back but he was able to regain his balance and watched as a shining white ball floated where the pod once was as the roots including the one forming the cocoons shriveled up and turned to dust while a voice echoed through the void saying.

"Thankyou!"

The last thing Hiccup saw was multiple dragons including his Crimson Fire Dragon and winters wingsspread their wings as they emerged from the cocoons before there was another bright flash and he found himself back in the same room with Khelthrai. The difference this time was Khelthrai was armed with a dagger, glaring at Hiccup with a look that looked as if it would make an alpha class dragon flee and the room was slowly falling apart around them. Hiccup didn't stumble at the sight of Khelthrai's glare and instead met it with his own glare that matched Khelthrai in anger as Hiccups fury towards the dark elf had grown to new heights after discovering the pain he was causing to not only his dragons but the other dragons and Yggdrasill itself. When he saw Hiccups glare Khelthrai actually stumbled back in shock and slight fear as it was as if he were looking at death personified and it didn't help that Hiccups eyepatch was open, showing the eye of the dragon. Hiccup stood still just glaring at Khelthrai before he said.

"Do you have any idea how much pain you've caused to Yggdrasill and the dragons of the nine realms." Hiccup clenched his fists. "The unimaginable pain they were in all because of your sick desire for revenge." Khelthrai opened his mouth to reply but Hiccup cut him off. "Don't even bother claiming it was for your people since we both know that it's a lie." Hiccup took a breath and looked down while clenching his fists. "You claim all of this is for the good of your own people but the only thing you desire is power to take revenge on those who you feel have wronged you, no matter how many innocents are forced to suffer just so you can get what you desire." Hiccup then looked back up at him and pointed at him. "IT'S SCUM LIKE YOU THAT MAKE ME SICK AND THIS ENDS NOW!" Khelthrai growled and charged at Hiccup with his dagger raised.

"NOT YET!"

Hiccup just slowly walked towards him before Khelthrai leapt at him swung his dagger down towards Hiccup who just pulled his prosthetic fist back and swung it forward towards Khelthrai stomach as the tip of his punch dagger blade came out of the knuckles. The blade stabbed Khelthrai right in the stomach and when the tip entered his skin the blade extended going right through his body killing Khelthrai instantly leaving his limp body hanging in midair with his arms falling to his sides. Hiccup pulled his punch dagger back into his fist and returned his prosthetic to its normal form while the body of Khelthrai fall to the ground, lifeless and left to the elements while Hiccup just looked at the body with disgust. The reason for this it was true what he said about those like Kelthrai making him sick but who could blame them since these kinds of foes care only for themselves and achieving their goals, no matter what is lost in order to achieve them. Sadly, it was then the adrenaline wore off and the effect of using his prosthetic to destroy the pod caught up to him and the last thing he heard was loud roars outside the tree before he passed out.

5 days later

Hiccups POV:

I groaned as I opened my eyes to see a large wooden ceiling looking back at me and I immediately sat up looking around at where I was since the last thing I remember was being in the dying tree with the dead body of Khelthrai. I looked around and found myself lying in a large bed with a nightfury with its wings spread out as the head boars, a brown fur mattress and blanket, Viking tapestries and shields with weapons behind them decorating the walls and at the foot of the bed, sitting on the end was a single raven staring at me. I took a few breaths to calm myself and looked down at my body to see if I had my gear on but found myself completely bare except for my pants but before I could do anything a voice said.

"Your gear is currently downstairs, waiting for you." I looked up and saw a familiar woman standing in the doorway and although she looked familiar, I couldn't place where I'd seen her before.

"Where am I?"

"You are in the house that was prepared for you here in Asgard." When she said this, I immediately recognized her as the Valkyrie who escorted me to Valhalla the first time, I was in Asgard before I groaned and fell back against the pillows. (AN: Chapter 98)

"Don't tell me I've died again."

"You haven't died, lord Odin simply asked that you be brought here to discuss the outcome of what has happened and give you a place to fully recover after all you suffered from the battle."

"How long has it been in Midgard since I got here?"

"Five days." I groaned and slapped my forehead before running my hand over my face.

"Blanca and Astrid are going to kill me when I get back." The Valkyrie just smiled.

"If you are ready, I shall bring you your gear and allow you to prepare before taking you to Valhalla where lord Odin and the other gods await your arrival." I sat up and nodded.

"Thankyou." With that said she nodded and made her way out while I lay back in the bed and asked myself. "How am I going to explain this to the girls." The Valkyrie returned with my gear. "Thanks." She just bowed.

"I will allow you some privacy to get dressed." I thanked her as she closed the door.

"Well no point in worrying about that now, I better get dressed and ready to meet lord Odin." With that said I got dressed and ready to head out.

10 minutes later

It's been ten minutes since I woke up and, in that time, I'd gotten dressed and ready before being led out into the city of Asgard and into the halls of Valhalla. This brings us to now with me in the halls of Valhalla, standing before to lord Odin and the other gods while multiple people including my ancestors were gathered around behind me. For the past minute nothing but silence had reigned in the halls with the only sound being the sound of the fires crackling in the fire pit while the boars roasted over it. It was then lord Odin finally broke the silence and said.

"Hiccup Haddock, do you have any idea what you have done by Khelthrai?" I shook my head.

"No lord Odin." He stood up from his seat and began walking towards me as I stood still in fear, but I stood my ground.

"You defeated an enemy of the nine realms, stopped a threat that would have destroyed Yggdrasill itself and with all of this you have done what so few mortals have done in the past." He placed his hands on my shoulder. "You have saved the nine realms not once but twice and have earned my eternal respect." He then let go of one shoulder and turned me to face the people turned to all those in the hall. "FROM NOW ON ANY MAN, WOMAN OR GOD WHO DISRESPECTS THIS YOUNG HERO WITHIN THESE HALLS WILL ANSWER TO ME!" There were murmurs of understanding. "AND NOW LET US ENJOY THE FEAST IN THIS YOUNG HEROES HONOR!" With that everyone cheered in agreement as I smiled.

3 hours later

It's been three hours since Lord Odin made the announcement about me earning his eternal respect and how nobody was to disrespect me in Valhalla. In that time, I'd been having a great time after I found out what happened to Volcanus and my winters wing dragon after I blacked out. I learnt that they and all the other realm dragons had been taken to Alfheim where the elves would be able to heal them properly after what the tree had done to them. I wanted to go see them immediately out of concern, but Lady Frigga was able to convince me to stay and enjoy myself a bit while they sent out a messenger to find out the condition of my dragons and the others.

Besides that, I'd been enjoying my time here eating the finest foods Valhalla had to offer, catching up with my ancestors, telling stories with the other souls of great warriors and getting some advice on how to handle Astrid from her ancestors. It was from these fine warriors that when it comes to the women of the Hofferson family all have one single weakness that calms them instantly and they believed it would work on Astrid. They claimed that if Astrid was angry when I get back rub her feet and she'd be calm enough to not take my head off with her axe or scratch my face off with her claws. I had the feeling I'd be rubbing her feet a lot in the future, and I had to remember to try it on Blanca since if it did work it'd help me avoid getting hit by her tail. A few minutes ago, we got word on how the dragons were doing and learnt they were all doing well so I could visit them and make sure they're alright.

This brings us to now with me being led through the forests of Alfheim by an elf to the gazebo where the god Freyr was waiting for me to discuss the condition of the dragons. It was then we broke through the forests to see the familiar white gazebo with Freyr sitting beneath it, silently looking out at the view. I walked up to the gazebo but before I could say anything Freyr turned to me and said.

"Hiccup, please sit down." I nodded and did as he told me before he sat across from me. "Hiccup, it seems that once again those of us in the nine realms owe you a great debt of gratitude for what you have done."

"I was just doing what I could to protect the realms and save my dragons." He nodded.

"And for that I am grateful as are my people."

"Speaking of my dragons, could you tell me how they're all doing?"

"They're all healing well and should be back to full strength in a matter of days." I nodded. "What about that dragon that Khelthrai had full control over." I rubbed my chin. "I think he called it a Floral Fury." Freyr smiled.

"That dragon has been fully healed and is now resting after we were forced to put it to sleep since it kept running around most likely trying to escape us and find you." I raised an eyebrow.

"Why would it be looking for me?" He looked at me with a smile.

"You saved it from a fate worse than death and for this it feels a great deal of gratitude towards you so it no doubt wants to thank you." I nodded before a thought occurred to me.

"Lord Fafner may I ask you something about the floral fury dragons?" He nodded.

"Let me guess, you want to know why it resembles a nightfury in form." I nodded. "Now to get that answer we must go back to when nightfuries were plentiful in Midgard." He looked crossed his arms and looked down. "This was many centuries ago before they were hunted to near extinction." I nodded with my curiosity growing. "It was also a time before any of the races were able to fully understand travelling through the different dimensions and as such whenever we'd travel to Midgard the portal, we create would remain open for a few minutes after." I raised an eyebrow wondering where this was going. "It was during these times that occasionally human or beast would enter these portals and end up in the realm which they lead to." It was then I was beginning to get an idea of what happened, but I continued to quietly listen. "Now most of these beings try to either find their way back or would perish, the nightfuries however were different to all of them though." I raised an eyebrow. "While the others perished or found their way back to Midgard the nightfuries would often adapt to their new surroundings and start lives in the dimensions they were brought to and over time start families." I nodded. "As the centuries went by the nightfuries evolved to better survive in their new dimensions eventually creating entirely new species native to the realms which they live in." My eyes widened since this was a major discovery in dragon evolution before I realized something.

"But how did the nightfuries survive and evolve while the other dragons perished?"

"Nightfuries are born with higher intelligence than other dragons and learnt how to adapt but along with this they were somehow unknowingly able to absorb the magic of the realms allowing some of them to survive and evolve further with each generation until they became what they are today." Hearing this my interest had reached new heights as did my curiosity so all I could say was that I wanted to learn all I could about the various species.

"What can you tell me about these different species?"

"I honestly can't tell you much about them all as I haven't really paid that much attention to them and rarely leave Alfheim but I can tell you what I know about the two native breeds that are native to Alfheim." This last part caught my attention.

"There are two species in this realm?" He nodded.

"The Floral Fury and a species we have named the Stealth Fury." I raised an eyebrow at the names. "The one who discovered them wasn't that great at names." I nodded. "Now here's what I know about the two species." With that said he began telling me everything he knew about the two nightfury sub species.

1 hour later

It's been an hour since I began discussing the nightfury subspecies of Alfheim and from what he told me they were a species that preferred to avoid contact with others since they were rarely seen by the elves. From the few encounters that have happened the elves know that the Floral Fury is herbivore that feeds on various plants and to defend itself it launches some type of tree sap and flower pollen at foes trapping them. The Stealth Fury on the other hand has a paralyzing mist blast similar to the flightmare that lasts for a short while and also has a camouflage ability similar to Changewings but they can also modify their scales composition and feeds mostly on amphibians. They honestly didn't have too much on these dragons but that made my job of figuring out more about them more fun for me.

Now we were looking down into the giant cove where all the dragons were being cared for by the elven healers and I had to say, every one of the giants looked impressive in their own ways. I stared down at Volcanus and my winters wings who were both lying unconscious on the ground while they were being tended to by the elves. As I stared down at them I couldn't help but feel as if this was all my fault since I wasn't fast enough to save them from being put in such bad condition. It was then I felt a hand being placed on my shoulder and turned to see Freyr looking down at me with a frown as he said.

"You can't blame yourself for what has happened Hiccup, Khelthrai and his followers are responsible for this and they paid the price for it."

"What's happened to Khelthrai's followers?"

"They were captured by the Valkyries who came to collect you and have been imprisoned in the most barren parts of Hel in a valley we call 'The valley of eternal mists'." I raised an eyebrow since I'd never heard of this place in any of the legends I'd been told or read about. "It's no surprise that you haven't heard of it as we prefer to keep that section of Hel a secret."

"What is this valley exactly?"

"It's a prison for beings and souls that have committed only the most horrific of crimes." I saw him clench his fist. "For their crimes they are thrown into this fog filled valley from which there is no escape, forcing them to wonder through the fog and slowly lose their sanity for the rest of eternity." I nodded and looked back into the cove.

"A fitting fate for those who would abuse the power of Yggdrasill and the power of the dragons." He nodded before a smile formed on his face.

"It appears someone wants to greet you but is a little nervous." I raised an eyebrow before he gestured behind us and I turned to see a dragon that I didn't recognize but it seemed familiar somehow and then it hit me.

"Is that-"

"Yes, that is the floral fury you saved without the corruption of that dark elf magic altering its form and personality." I nodded as the dragon hesitated to come near me, so I just smiled and slowly walked towards it.

"Don't worry I'm not going to hurt you." It just crooned and looked down.

"I believe our friend here is ashamed about attacking you a few days ago." I nodded and slowly walked forward.

"You were being controlled and used by Khelthrai and his dark magic so don't feel bad." The floral fury looked up at me with it's bright green eyes before slowly walking up to me and then bowing making me raise an eyebrow but I got over it and slowly kneeled down as I began petting its head. "Don't worry, Khelthrai will never hurt you or any dragon again." It just crooned and leaned into my touch and body as I smiled.

"I think it likes you." I smiled.

"I think you're right." I then examined it. "But it's a girl not an it."

The floral fury just crooned and nuzzled into my chest giving me the chance to examine what she looked like and I had to admit she was definitely different to a normal night fury. She had the body structure of a regular night fury except her body was slenderer and petite in a way showing that she was a female. Along with this she has light forest green scales that have a spotted pattern with different colors making them look like spots of sunlight passing through bushes or white petals blowing in the wind. Then there's her tailfins that were made like Toothless' similar, but they looked like a heart-shaped petal of a flower and her ear flaps looks like curvy leaves. I was brought out of my thoughts when she nuzzled my chest again as I chuckled before I stood up.

"I'd love to stay but I better get back to Asgard and let you all continue to heal the alpha class dragons." He nodded.

"I'll escort you to the gate to Asgard."

"Thankyou." He then began leading me away before a croon came from behind me and I turned to see the floral fury hesitating, but I could tell it wanted to follow us but, it was nervous, so I smiled. "Are you coming girl?" She crooned and tilted her head making me chuckle and gestured for her to follow me before she let out a short roar of joy and ran to catch up to us before keeping its pace with us and walked next to me as I smiled at her and continued to the gate.

1 week later

It's been a week since I woke up and, in that time, I'd been enjoying my time in Asgard with the gods, my ancestors, a few of the greatest heroes in the halls of Valhalla. It was mostly enjoying a meal in the halls of Valhalla, telling tales of past battles and enjoying a good brawl on the battle fields of Asgard. I enjoyed these brawls since it gave me a lot of practice against some of the greatest warriors ever born into the Viking civilization, so I was able to pick up some new moves from them. Sadly, I rarely got any peace in the halls of Valhalla since everybody heard about the battles I'd partaken in since my last visit to Asgard and wanted to know all about them. Thanks to my illusion spider, showing them what happened was easy and while it did provide a little entertainment during the feasts it also got me a lot of admiration from those in the hall. This admiration resulted in me becoming a celebrity in Valhalla and according to my grandfather, some of the men had been wondering if I was a demigod or would become a god in the future.

Then there's the floral fury who I'd given the name Flora, she'd rarely ever left my side during my time in Asgard and when she did it was because I was going to enjoy a good brawl or sparring session. Besides that, she'd remain at my side during mealtimes and when I went to bed she'd sleep at the foot of my bed, watching over me in a protective stance if she heard even the smallest sound. Speaking of dragons, I'd made it a personal mission to visit the alpha class dragons in Alfheim at least once a day and spend an hour with them to see how well they were all doing and study the other realm dragons besides Volcanus and my winters wings.

Yesterday when I visited them though they were all awake and lord Fafnir had me walk into the middle of the cove where they could all see me. When I was in the center they all stood up and looked to me before much to my surprise they all bowed in submission shocking me so bad I couldn't move until Fafnir walked up and patted me on the back and told me how they all know that they owe their lives and freedom to me. It was because of this they were bowing to show their gratitude and a way to show that they were submitting to me so in other words I'd unintentionally just got seven new alpha class dragons. Along with this, this was the first time I took a moment to examine them and I had to say these weren't so much as dragons as they are forces of nature.

From Asgard there is the 'Bifröst wing dragon' and to describe this dragon its shape is a mix between a large blue whale with a humpback whale with the scales and upper half of the skull of a crocodile. Its wings have the colour of the rainbow bridge henceforth it's the rest of its body has a scale colour that looks like it's made from a mixture of stars and colours. (AN: Picture a nebula) It was from Fafnir that I learned that despite their size they're actually gentle and can eat supernovas as their food source. For defence they can breathe out multiple colour rainbow Fireballs that turn whatever they strike into nothing but ash.

From Alfheim there's the eclipse eye dragon which had a giant long serpent like body, covered in black scales with a sprinkling of white scales giving it the look of a night sky and it had four legs, one pair of wings, two mouths one on top of the other, (AN: If you want a better description he kind of looks similar to Slifer the Sky Dragon but they're not exactly identical other than having two mouth.) The reason it was named the eclipse eye dragon is its eyes literally looks like an eclipse, just a big black pupil with flares around the black circle. As for defences, this dragon can breathe two different kinds of fires from each of his different mouths. The lower one is used to breathe out a light fire blast that looks like a pure white beam of other mouth is more dangerous though as if it opens that one it will breathe out what the elves call 'The Flames of Darkness' which will consume and burn your soul leaving no chances of you to survive to go to Asgard. If these two types of attacks were to ever combined and strike the surface of the planet it will coat the entire world in a after shock wave of white fire mixed with black vaporizing all life over the planet leaving nothing but a Barren Wasteland world with no form of life and for this reason it was one of the most feared dragons in the nine realms.

From Niðavellir there's the 'stone shell dragon' and this dragon is constantly trapped within an armour of stone metal and gemstones mixed with its scales and lives on a diet of Rock and dirt to fuel its volcanic stomach. They say this dragons body temperature is so hot all forms of stone and metal melt forming it's hard shell around its body and if you look closely at its scales you could make the mistake of thinking that its entire body is made of stone and metal gold and jewels. It's able to breathe out lava balls big as mountains or just a river of lava from its mouth but they mostly spend time to themselves, eating whatever they can and are lazy once they've had their fill. It's said they can end up sleeping for eons unless disturbed, then goes on a hunger spree, eating almost any mountain it sees.

The dragon of vanaheim is named the soul guardian and like the 'Bifröst wing dragon' it's a gentle giant that prefers to avoid combat when it is not needed. This dragon has white and golden scales with copper brown eyes with a bit of yellow mixed with it, a long white beard growing out of its chin and the job of this species is to take care of the souls in Vanaheim such as innocent little spirits of kids who were giving a place in Vanaheim instead of Helheim. It mostly looks like an average dragon with one pair of wings, walks on all fours but it has golden antler like horns, wings that look like the wings of an eagle, golden Claws and a silver like blade end on its tail. Those of this species mostly protect the souls of innocent children that died in the conflict of battle, died horribly from a jealous person whether it a man or woman who burns down their house or any kind of horrible death that a child had to endure this Dragon will come to their aid and keep them safe in the heavens.

Then there's the dragon of Niflheim that I called 'The Blizzard wisp that possesses a slim, upright body structure with scales that are a unique crystalline blue. Its head has a tiara-like crown of small horns that like its wings, limbs and tail is covered in ice its summoned creating a thin armour of sorts, protecting it and also adding more ferocity to its appearance while the parts that aren't covered are a dirty grey. For its attacking capabilities it has a thin, lance-like tail is highly flexible and can jab at enemies and also launch icicles from the frozen tip along with its wings having the same ability and a freezing wind blast that can instantly freeze all in its path. Along with all this it an also blend into snow, can swim through snow, hibernate when completely frozen, incredibly fast on ice, has the ability to compress its skeleton and lives on a diet of frozen meats. (AN: Google Velkhana if you can't picture it.)

From Hel there's a dragon called 'The Black Death' and that name is fitting for this dragon considering its appearance and its capabilities when it comes to attacking and defending. This dragon has a long, slender body with several unique physical features that make it all the more intimidating and like something out of a nightmare. Its body is covered in silver scales, which are obscured by the fleshy red veil that covers most of its body making it look as if it was covered in muscles. It also possesses a double lower jaw, each with a row of extremely long, sharp fangs like those of a deep-sea fish so it has one mean bite. Along with this it also has two bright yellow spots at the sides of its head and two small red eyes while its toes and wingtips are adorned with sickle-shaped claws allowing it to hook onto things. To top it all off it's able to blast out a strange green fire, blast of bacteria mixed with virus so even if someone was able to dodge the flames the virus would get them. (AN: Google vaal hazak if you can't picture it.)

Finally, there's the Midgard Quaken is a colossal semi-aquatic dragon covered in a rocky hide formed from centuries of living below the surface. It has turtle-like characteristics, bearing a mountainous shell on its back that it can retreat under while walking on all fours, as well as a beaked mouth.Fire, smoke, and lava constantly radiate from the creature's shell, making it more look like a walking volcano than a typical dragon so chances are it would be a good way to fool some enemies. Along with all this, unlike the other dragons who release a powerful blast from their breath this dragon has a high frequency sonic blast, that cannot be heard by human ears, but can be heard by dragons and certain animals. Just because the humans can't hear it though, doesn't mean it's not powerful though as it can turn rocks into rubble and if it's angered it can turn any rock into sand. Along with this blast this dragon is really sensitive to sound, to the point that it can hear a mouse sneeze from across two islands but due to how sensitive its hearing is it has special ear parts that will make it deaf through covering. Along with all this it can graft most minerals onto its body like armour, and prefers to hibernate in large rocky areas, where there is a large amount of rocky terrain since it feeds on rocks of any kind. (AN: Google Zorah Magdarosif you can't picture it.)

Other than that, the only other interesting thing that's happened is I paid a visit to Niðavellir after getting an invite from the dwarves who wanted to thank me for what I'd done. While I was there, I met the dwarf sons of Ivaldi who made my fold up ship and the dwarf brothers Brokkr and Eitri who made my axe as thanks for stopping the frost giants. When I was there, they each claimed they wanted to properly thank me for what I'd done and offered to upgrade my axe and ship. I gladly handed both items over to their respective creators before I went off exploring the mines and forges the realm had to pass the time.

When I got my axe back it looked slightly different in form like how the Haddock family crest was now engraved in the middle, there was a leather strap at the end of the handle and the blades were shining light blue. When I took the axe by its handle and felt the power flowing within it and into my body and I knew it was more powerful than before, but I was told I'd need to find the new abilities out myself. My ship looked the same as it did when I first got it, but I could tell that there was something different about it and I'd need to find out for myself when I got back to Midgard.

Along with this Brokkr and Eitri gave me a shovel while the sons of Ivaldi gave me a pickaxe claiming that they may look normal, but they are powerful and will make mining resources a lot easier for me. I wasn't sure what they were capable of but I knew it would be helpful and to describe the shovel, its head was pure gold with a spiral shape going up the neck and a single blue jewel at the base with two gold rings on the handle above it, the handle was smooth wood while the top grip was gold with blue gems on the sides and two on each side of the neck. The pickaxe on the other hand had a smooth wooden handle with a dwarf iron pick that was rigid instead of curves and was connected to the handle by a gold wrapping holder in the middle above a dwarf iron pole that had a gold ring at the bottom and at the bottom of the handle was a dwarf iron grip with gold ring around the top. (AN: Pictures will be on my pinterest page soon.)

Shortly after that I got the chance test out my axe's new abilities on the battlefield and I was not disappointed with what it could do now along with its original abilities. To begin with when I swung it from the side with nothing in the range of the attack a flying slash of pure lightning flies out of it, electrocuting or cutting up anyone in its path until it either hits an obstacle like a boulder or reaches the limit of fifteen feet. Along with this if I throw it so it rapidly spins and flies around like it could originally do, it now releases bolts of lightning that go everywhere knocking out or killing any it strikes and doing serious damage to the places it strikes. The final ability I've discovered is when I strike lightning pores into me and II feel as if my strength is increased tenfold with the blow and after striking someone with it I found out it was more than just a feeling.

Along with this I'd been able to train the subspecies of the nightfury that is native to Asgard named the 'electro fury' due to its ability to absorb lightning and then infuse it into its plasma blasts giving them more power. As for how I met this dragon, I was out in one of the many fields in the realm of Asgard with nobody around besides Flora who was lounging on a rock while I practiced with my axe. While I was practicing I kept trying out my new lightning slash which is what drew the electro fury to me since they are attracted to lightning. When it first saw me, it was hesitant to even approach me until I took notice of it and saw how it was looking at my axe with interest as lightning went around it.

I pulled my axe back into my prosthetic making it back up until I channeled a blue crystal electrifying my arm drawing the electro fury's attention to it allowing me to slowly hold out my hand and gently coax it towards me. It hesitated until Flora hopped up next to me and let out a few growls that I assume was her telling the electro fury that I was friendly since it slowly walked up to me to examine my prosthetic. She sniffed it a few times and I let a few small bolts come off and onto the electro fury who seemed to not only absorb the small sparks into its body but actually seemed to enjoy it. Seeing this I kept it up and increased the amount making the dragon croon in pleasure and actually lean into my prosthetic while I was able to examine it a bit and discovered the electro fury to be female.

After that training her was a piece of cake and I was able to get a full examination of her physical form and I had to say she definitely had the form of a nightfury but she was different in many ways. She has rich colored scales with purple and blue stripe like markings all over her body and I noticed these stripes glow at the presence of lightning. She also has a unique pattern on her wings that are in the shape of lightning bolts, a little spike sticking out of each of her ear flaps and a jagged triangular shape at the edge of her wings and tail fin. After I got a full look at her I gave her the name Electra and like Flora, she rarely ever left my side after I trained her but unlike Flora, she wasn't afraid to show her aggressive side as if she thought someone was the threat she'd let out a growl and let lightning run over her body.

Besides that, things have been calm for me, but I did miss those I love back on Midgard such as my wives, dragons, animals, friends and family. I did however know I shouldn't be looking forward to going home too much as Blanca and Astrid are more than likely going to kill me for making them worry so much. Now after a week of enjoying my time here in Asgard, all the alpha class dragons have been healed and I'd been called before the gods for some reason. This brings us to now with me standing before the Norse gods including Hel, daughter of Loki and ruler of the realm of the dead which is also named Hel. Odin sat in his throne as he raised his hand silencing all forms of conversation in the hall before he said.

"Hiccup Haddock, once again we owe you our thanks for not only defeating an enemy of the nine realms alone but also saving the nine realms." There were cheers from behind me, but Odin raised his hand once more silencing them all again. "For your great deeds you shall be awarded these gifts from us." Loki stepped up surprising me.

"Hiccup, when you were young you used cause quite a few problems for your village and you still caused trouble through a few good pranks using some of your gifts and I have to admit, those pranks were rather amusing." He then chuckled. "Especially that one when you used your illusion spider to trick your father into covering the inside of his hut in dragon poo and that time you put sonic granite in his pants so when he had gas he sent his brother flying." Everyone laughed at this while I just smiled at the memories before Loki reached behind him and pulled out a palm sized black leather bag with Toothless stitched onto the side. "In this bag I have placed a few items that shall come in handy when in battle and a few pranks but what items this bag holds and what they do is something you shall have to find out yourself." I smiled.

"That makes thing all the more fun for me." He smiled as I put the bag in my coat where my spiderpack took it but before he could reply Hel spoke.

"Father, please return to your seat as we have much work to get back to in our own realms." She then turned to me and smiled. "It is rare for me to leave my own realm, but I decided to come here to thank you for saving my domain by offering some additions to your forces." I raised an eyebrow.

"Additions to my forces?"

"You can summon a total of one hundred and fifty soldiers from your prosthetics ability, but these ones are only good on the land and you have no forces for naval battles other than your tidal class dragons and your own ship." I nodded. "It's for this reason I give you this." She reached behind her back and pulled out a brown leather bag. "In this bag is my gift to you, with instructions of how to use it but do so only when you return to Midgard." I nodded.

"Thank you, lady Hel." As I put the bag in my coat, lord Fafnir stepped forward holding an open wooden chest with red velvet lining the inside with nine indents each holding a glowing palm sized orb of various colors and on closer incapacitation I saw each had something.

"Hiccup, the alpha class dragons have each made full recoveries and have been placed inside palm sized orbs so when you return to your island you may release them." I smiled as he closed the chest and handed it to before lord Odin spoke to me for the first time since this meeting started while I put the chest away.

"Your island will need special conditions to house all nine realm dragons and for that I had this constructed." He opened up his hand before one of his ravens flew down and swiped what was in it and flew over to me, dropping the item into my hands to reveal a multicolored island piece. "That new piece contains a special place for you to keep your alpha species Hiccup so I trust you to keep them all in check as they are not beasts that should be let loose together on any realms or they'd destroy them with their combined power." I smiled and bowed.

"Thank you for this new island piece and putting your trust in me concerning the dragons lord Odin." He just nodded as Mímir, god of knowledge then stepped forward.

"Hiccup, after you arrived, I knew immediately you would want to know about the floral fury you saved along with the other night fury sub species and the alpha class dragons you rescued." I nodded as he reached into his robes and pulled out a brown leather bag. "That is why I built these for you." He tossed me the bag and unlike the last ones I was able to look inside and found it to be full of dragon eye lenses. "On those lenses you shall find all that is known about the alpha dragons and the various forms that the nightfuries have evolved into." I smiled at this and put the bag away.

"Thank you lord Mímir." He just gave me a smile as Lord Odin spoke once more.

"Hiccup, we know you desire to find the remaining night fury sub species but before you do, you need to return home and rest a bit and spend some time with your loved ones." He held out his hands and once again, one of his ravens brought the items within them to me to reveal a palm sized stone wheel and a palm sized. "The orb shall be able to be activated after ten weeks and once that time has passed return to the place where you did battle with Khelthrai and it is there the gift it holds from all the gods here and the spirits who rule that land shall be released and once it has the disc shall open." I nodded. "Once it has you shall be able to travel to each realm once and see if you are able to find the fury species native to that realm but be careful as I do not need to remind you of the dangers some realms have." I nodded.

"Thank you lord Odin but what shall happen to this gift once I have been to all the realms?" He smiled.

"You shall see but for now as a final gift we present you with this." This time a Valkyrie walked forward holding a pillow with a familiar crown and dagger on it. "The crown and dagger of Khelthrai, we present them both to you as trophies of your victory against the dark elves." I smiled and nodded as I took them, putting them away before Lord Odin stood up. " And it is with these gifts we bid you goodbye and wish you luck on facing the ferocious beasts you call your wives who are awaiting your return in Midgard."

I gulped while everyone chuckled before there was a bright flash blinding me and when I opened my eyes I found myself back on my island, in the middle of the forest. It was then I heard a confused roar behind me and turned to see Flora and Electra looking around scared and confused wondering what just happened as I smiled at them. I walked up to them and gently placed a hand on each of their heads catching their attention as I said.

"Don't worry girls, this is my island and your new home." They each crooned. "I think you girls are going to like it here with all the facilities and friendly locals who I know will love you both." They crooned in fear and leaned into my chest. "Don't worry girls, I'm here for you but for now we better let everyone know I'm back and about you girls being our islands new residence." They each just crooned as I lead them away.

Nightfall

I was lying in bed with both Astrid and Blanca at my sides, cuddling into my shoulders and all of us wearing no shred of clothing after our earlier nights activities in which the girls showed me how happy they are to see me again. Of course, earlier they weren't so kind as they wanted to know what happened, why I didn't call them through my wedding ring, where had I been and where did the two new dragons come from. As soon as the questions stopped flying, I found myself pinned to the ground by Toothless who proceeded to cover me in slobber as I laughed. After the girls were able to pry him off me, I told them it was better explained in the great hall in front of everyone so I wouldn't have to repeat myself. Before that though I felt it better that I set up my new island piece and took off to the nightfury statue to set it up and see what this new piece would be.

This piece was different to the others I'd used in the past since it sunk right below the centre of the islands model which was the volcano I was currently on. After it sunk back down, I felt the ground shake below my feet as steam rose from the volcano and I ran to see what was happening and saw stairs pop out of the wall as lava pulled in from the wall to make way for more steps. I made my way down these steps until I came to a path at the bottom of them with a wall of magma on the left side and lava rock on the right side. I made my way down this path until it came to a dead end with a single pedestal that had an indent of my stone of good fortune on it showing my stone of good fortune was the key.

I placed my prosthetic hand on it and pressed my stone of good fortune into it before having it rotate until my hand pushed into the pedestal. As soon as it did though I could pull my prosthetic out and turned to the lava and saw a large wooden arch, rise up from the edge of the magma and behind it was a wall of magma that slowly parted to reveal a pathway with walls and a roof of lava. I made my way down the pathway until I came to a giant empty chamber that was cylindrical in shape with multiple pillars supporting the roof that was shaped like half a ball with Toothless painted in the centre of it. In the middle of the room was a giant tree in the centre of it and when I walked up to it, I found the trunk to be open with a pedestal in the centre of it. In the centre of the pedestal was the symbol of Yggdrasil and around it was the symbols of each of the nine realms engraved into the metal.

I had the feeling that my realm alpha class dragons were needed here so I pulled the chest and opened it but before I could do anything the orbs glowed brightly as did each of the symbols of the realms that glowed the same colour as the orbs. The orbs flew out of the chest as the symbols opened before the orbs flew out of the chest and into the openings in the pedestal. The closed up before the entire opening in the tree closed up cutting me off from the pedestal as the entire room shook as the cracks in the tree glowed brightly. The walls also began to slowly sink down while the ceiling began to glow brightly completely blinding me to the point that I had to cover my eyes. After a few moments I heard multiple roars that I recognised as the roars of the alphas and when I opened my eyes it was like I was in a completely different room. To begin with in between each pair of pillars was now an entrance to different environments that I knew to be that of the nine realms where each of the dragons came from. In each of these places were the dragons themselves who were all looking around their new domains before all looked to me and bowing while I sighed and said.

"Better check this place out before I leave to let everyone know what's happened to me."

Following that I checked out the various environment that each of my new alpha class dragons inhabited and found them to each be in a cavern that has the same environment as the realms the inhabitants came from. These caverns were huge to the point that the dragons could live comfortably and actually walk around a bit in these areas plus there is an exit at the back that leads out into the surface so they'd be able to leave when they need to. After that I reunited with the girls and Toothless who was examining the two new furies and we all took off to meet with the people of Berk. The arrival was my parents yelling at me for disappearing on them, people pelting me with questions and the usual stuff that I get when I come back from a trip. After they all learnt I'd saved the nine realms again my father immediately ordered a feast be held in my honour to celebrate my victory and return from Asgard.

The party lasted so long it went on into the night so I didn't get the chance to check out the gifts I was given or their capabilities and when I got home the girls gave me enough time to bring out a pedestal and place Khelthrai's crown and dagger on it before calling me to bed. As I lay there staring at the ceiling though I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something going on that I should know about but couldn't see. I sighed knowing it was probably just me being paranoid and besides that I had a lot of work ahead of me tomorrow, testing out all my new gifts from the gods and figuring out their capabilities. With this in mind I drifted off to sleep with my worries just drifting off with my conscious.

The tree grown by Khelthrai

A black cloaked figure made his way out of a snow filled blizzard surrounding the crater where Hiccup fought Khelthrai and walked over to the edge. The figure stood on the edge of the large crater that held the tree and looked down into it before the figure nodded and slid down the slope and into the crater. They made their way over to the tree and nodded before breaking off one of the branches and examining it in his hands while nodding. They then held it out before there was a bright glow and the branch was encased in a crystal ball as a smile formed beneath the figures hood as he said.

"I am one step closer to bringing you back my master and then you shall be able to take your revenge on the mortal who destroyed you." The figure then made his way out of the crater and disappeared into the raging blizzard.

AN: And that brings an end to my 200th chapter which I hope you all enjoyed it and I have good news, I am back from vacation so hopefully I'll be able to get my schedule back to normal soon. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and will remember to review kindly as I put a lot of work into this chapter with the help of my online pals. Red dragon who helped come up with the realm dragons and Rogue Deity who gave me the idea for multiple sub species of night fury from each realm. I know some of you don't like the cliffhanger concerning the gifts and the cloaked figure but the cloaked figure leads up to another big adventure and the gifts will be added next chapter as it's late here and I need to get to bed but first onto the questions.
