The Time Detectives first travelled to the capital city of Belfast in Northern Ireland, heading to the Central Train Station to question the workers.

"So this is the station they traveled through from the Stena Line Ferry they took to Cardiff." Loki surmised. "First, we should try to see if they even made it to Wales." They approached the information desk. "Excuse us, but we're detectives on a missing persons case from 3 years prior. I'm Mr. Ouroboros, this is Mr. Paradox and Ms. Lushton, and this young girl lost her parents somewhere between here, Wales, and London, we believe." He explained in English.

"Oh, dear me! How can I help?" The information lady asked, concerned.

"First, do you have any names that would include the train driver, conductor-guard, or other employees that ride and come in contact with their passengers, specifically Monday, October 28th through Friday, November 1st of 2013? That's the time period the Madsens scheduled for their trip around this city."

"Grand, let me check." She searched her computer, scrolling through the data back three and a half years until she reached the month of November. "It looks like for 2013, the engineer and conductor working for our railway were Patrick O'Reilly and Colm Collins. I believe Mr. O'Reilly is retired, but Mr. Collins is still in charge of ticket inspection, so I'd ask him what he remembers."

"Thank you for your help! Go raibh míle maith agat!" Loki thanked the receptionist.

"Go ndéanaí mhaith duit. Ádh mór ort!" She replied, wishing them luck.

Røskva gave Loki an amazed look. "Wow, you speak Irish?"

"Yes, Thor and I used to drink with the Irish back when we were young. They were the only Midgardians that gave him any sort of challenge. Ehehehe, I never fared as well, but they also sport a lot of my favorite color! Speaking of drinking, as long as we're in Ireland-"

"Loki, we have an important mission to help a child in need!" Sylvie protested. "If you get yourself plastered again-"

"I've got two wonderful, trustworthy friends to help me sober up! Just a few drinks, and we continue the mission as planned!"

About half an hour and several drinks later, in a lively little pub, Loki and a row of locals were step dancing together on top of the table, singing an Irish drinking song, while Sylvie facepalmed and Røskva and Mobius clapped in amusement. Luckily, Grievance didn't pop out and frighten anyone, preoccupied with trying to tend to their liver as the alcohol ran its course. Loki quickly pulled Sylvie up with his telekinesis, pretending he had an invisible rope around her, to join him in his merry jig. Annoyed but unable to resist his charm, she shrugged and danced with her fiancé.

"Ehehe, iT sEeMs iIi've been bEsted by the Irrrish igen." Loki drunkenly muttered as his wonderful and trustworthy friends helped him to the door.

"Lokiii, wAitTt-aH! GOtta caRry the LovEly bride across the- the- theee doorway place~" Grievance reminded him.

"Oh yessss, thank you, Grievance." Loki began to climb into Sylvie's arms. "Not so fast, Sylvania Marie Lushton: you've got to, hiccup, carry me across the tHreShhh-Hold!"

"That's not my full name, that's for newlyweds, not engaged couples, and you've got it the wrong way around." She corrected him.

"Come on, let's all walk together." Mobius suggested, helping Loki back down on his feet as they exited the pub.

The detectives returned to the railway and purchased tickets. Loki slept off his 'fullness' while they waited for the next train to arrive. On board, they watched for the man checking tickets, and as he inspected theirs, Mobius spoke with him.

"Hi Mr. Collins, we're detectives on a missing persons case, and this girl's parents are suspected to have disappeared somewhere between here and on their way to London; could we ask you a few questions?"

"Grand, just let me crack on and finish my ticket inspection." When he finished, Mobius showed him the picture of the missing parents.

"This is Rasmus and Karina Madsen. Do these two look familiar to you at all? Anything odd about them or happen to them?"

"Sorry, nothing that I can recall." Collins responded while Sylvie entered his mind.

"That's okay, just take a deep breath, close your eyes, and see if you can remember."

"Found them." Sylvie pulled the memory out of his subconsciousness, and both saw the scene play.

"Wait, I remember now: it looks like they got on, rode to their destination, and got off without any problems." He opened his eyes. "That was amazing! Are you a trained hypnotic therapist or something?"

Mobius chuckled. "Just the therapist part for me. Thank you for your help."

After exiting the train, the Time Detectives repeated the process with the ferry captain, boarding the route to Wales, but they found that Røskva's parents made it safely by sea as well.

"One city down, two to go." Sylvie noted.

"Next stop, Wales!" Mobius announced, and to the other passengers' astonishment and concern, the group of four leapt from the side of the ferry while it sailed through the middle of the Irish Sea. Just before they reached the open water, Loki materialized Mobius's jet ski underneath them from his pocket dimensional storage, and they sped past the ferry, riding their top-of-the-model jet ski until they reached Cardiff. After some very brief sightseeing, they repeated their questioning process with the Welsh train conductor, finding similar results.

"So, it appears your parents' vacation plans went awry sometime during their stay in London." Loki summarized as their train reached their last destination. "Well, perhaps now I can find out why so many people think that I'm from this country while we're at it. Shall we?"

"Let's." Mobius agreed. They walked around the bustling city, taking in the sight of Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. Sylvie pointed out the different castles, recalling how they reminded her of home when she hid out nearby as a time variant, though Loki assured her that no palace on Earth would compare to their old home on Asgard, not even in the New Asgard of Norway! Unfortunately though, when they reached the correct underground railway, they also reached a dead end.

"I'm terribly sorry, but this railway has been driverless for over 8 years. There was no operator or guard on duty at the time."

"We understand, thank you." They left the station and returned above ground. "So, who do we ask now?" Røskva wondered.

"I suppose we'll have to figure that out." Loki answered. "Maybe ask the people at the hotel they stayed at? But we don't know which one, and they are so many of them…"

"I have an idea…" Grievance told them as he suddenly appeared from Loki's chest. "I could enhance the range of your mind-reading powers so you can search a whole group of people's minds for her parents at once."

"Grievance, I warned you about suddenly popping out like that!" Loki scolded.

"Is he on our side? He's got a good idea!" Røskva remarked. She turned to the Symbiote. "And I like your bright green eyes! Mister Loki, you've got some badass looking beasts!"

"Thank youuu." He turned his head to Loki. "If something happened to her parents, can we adopt this one?"

"Hey!" Loki glared at him. He took a deep breath. "You said you can enhance my powers… how?"

"Leave that to me: I will relay what I see straight to you." Grievance separated himself into thousands of little black blobs, planting a piece of himself onto every person around. He opened up their minds for viewing, sharing the images he saw with his host, and Loki's vision was suddenly flooded with a sea of unfamiliar memories. Concentrating to his fullest, Loki attempted to pick out the mental images of the Madsens, but the multitudinous task quickly overwhelmed him.

"There's too many minds, too many thoughts, I can't focus!"

"Then let me help." Sylvie took his hand, looking through the numerous thoughts with Loki to ease the mental burden.

"There they are!" The mischievous duo exclaimed together. They focused on the memory and watched it play back.

"Look, it's Thor, the superhero!" Someone in the audience cried out as the mighty Asgardian warrior fought off a Dark Elf and his forces of darkness.

"Thor, god of thunder!" Mrs. Madsen exclaimed. She turned to her husband. "Do you think Loki will come and fight too? You know how Røskva fancies him: she'd be so happy if we brought her a picture of him as a souvenir!"

"And what if he turns us into toads after? There's no telling with Loki." Mr. Madsen responded. "Watch out!" The couple ran from a car that was flung towards them. Their backs to the wall, they appeared to be trapped, until suddenly, they vanished into thin air. Loki and Sylvie opened their eyes.

"What did you see?" Mobius wondered.

"They were caught in the middle of Thor's battle with a Dark Elf, and as they ran for cover, they disappeared!" Loki relayed.

"Right, when he fought Malekith for the æther."

"Well that's pretty freaky!"

"I agree: as far as I know, most humans can't teleport, with the exception of sorcerers and witches." Sylvie said.

A look of realization hit Mobius's face. "They can during the convergence! Loki, what date did the Madsens' schedule say they'd leave London?"

"The morning of the 16th. Why?"

"The most recent convergence took place on the 15th! Røskva, your parents unwittingly hopped a portal to another realm, which means…"

"They could be anywhere…" Loki finished. "Well, I've got nothing left to try. Any ideas, Mobius?"

"Hm. Now that I think on it, there is one person who might be able to help us. Earth does have one convergence expert, and if we take her to the spot they disappeared, maybe she can track where in the nine realms they went."

"Who?"

"You've met her: Dr. Jane Foster, soon to be known as the Mighty Thor."
