November has finally arrived and after an exhausting last two weeks dealing with the Cuban Crisis, you were just glad everything was back to normal. As normal as a black ops group that deals with biological things and has super soldiers in their ranks.

Thanks to the crisis, BW not only has an underground storage with enough supplies to last for an entire year but also a brand-new tank.

The best thing to happen was that the WBS was well received by the government, which not only lead to BW's reputation increasing but the federal funding increasing as well.

You already began to think of plans to create a factory near HQ to manufacture any future BW drugs that are developed and need to be in produced in mass, like the WBS, which the higher ups want to give the troops as fast as possible but until the factory is made, limited production in HQ is all that is available. Is for this reason you also decided to hold off telling the government about the Edefoxin, since it was obvious that they will want to mass production of this drug for the purpose of not just for the military but for everyone.

At the very least the new batch of catalysts is going to be ready soon and Indy will finally begin to translate the damn tablet.

With the high demand to produce WBS to all the US armed forces, it came to you the idea to build a factory that could MP not only WBS but any future products BW develops, two cases being the catalyst and Edefoxin, both things being a secret known to BW only.

You ordered Hayden to begin construction of the factory near Hartford for two major reasons. One, it would be close to HQ to safeguard it and the second being that once it opens, it would give the people of Hartford a chance of employment and said employment would increase their respect of BW.

And thus, construction of the factory began and according to Hayden and the head of the construction company, it will take 3 months to finish the factory barring any complications.

You starting to wonder what is wrong with BW when it comes to dealing with spooks. Well, that and you were now really tempted to order Marcus and the group to come up with an alcoholic beverage that gets Watchmen drunk after dealing with this fiasco.

Basically, you were worried that during the time BW was without a spook, moles could have entered the group without anybody noticing. So, you ordered Fury to inspect BW for any moles, you even decided to help him.

The problem arose that after the order was given, Fury disappeared, and nobody could find him. Alone, you decided to do his job and after two weeks of inspections, you found with full confidence that BW was not mole infested.

The thing that broke the camel's back was that Fury returned and somehow, due to his problem with getting lost; for two weeks he ended investigating and finding by accident the identities of all the KGB moles in the CIA and then proceeded to send the info the FBI so that they can capture them.

[Roll= KGB attempt suicide upon capture: 74 (you) vs. 83 (oppose)]

Sadly, while the identity of the hidden KGB operatives was uncovered, they all committed suicide before they could be captured by the FBI.

Either way, the damage was done. To say the higher ups, especially President Kennedy; were pissed at the CIA was an understatement and add to the humiliation that a relatively new agency was able to do what the CIA could not do for years in two weeks was just the icing on top of the cake.

[Roll= CIA attempts to find out who did this: 63 (you) vs. 11 (oppose)]

[Roll= KGB attempts to find out who ratted their operatives: 36 (you) vs. 38 (oppose)]

From what Fury was able to tell you, the CIA had no idea who did this to them, only knowing that someone gave the info to the FBI to use. But the KGB found out that the group responsible was simply known as Blackwatch but nothing else since your group's existence was still a secret. No doubt other moles in other groups passed what little info they had on the situation to Moscow.

Thus, the CIA lost a lot of their respect and their funding was slashed until they get their house back in order; while you and BW got congratulated by President Kennedy himself on a job well done, which came with a small increase for the budget, that came from the CIA's former budget. Not that the public knew any of this since even you knew that if the public found out that the CIA had moles in them for years and were found by the FBI, it would cause a disaster.

Though to be honest, the weirdest thing of all this was that the moment Joy was told what happened, she began to laugh. Not just a simple ha-ha laugh, but a full blown, banging on the table with the happiest face you and anybody in the group has ever seen her use; laugh.

You really need to one day try to understand how much Joy hated the CIA if she was so happy that they got humiliated like this. She even hugged Fury and thank him for what he did.

One thing is for sure, dealing with spooks was just weird for you.

Reward- BW empty of moles, all Russian operatives in the CIA found and committed suicide before gaining any info; BW's reputation increased to the US Government, CIA's reputation heavily decreased, KGB knows only about BW is it's name, CIA no knowledge about BW; 1,000 to federal income

You really did not know what to make of what just happened except for the fact that a saying you heard once somewhere fits in this scenario:

Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action.

This saying is the only explanation as to why the third time a catalyst was successfully created, a ceiling tile once again falls on the table where the stone was, causing it to go flying of it's container and strike Joy on her face.

Now, you had a comatose Joy in the infirmary and a damaged Laboratory since for some reason the activation of Joy's Bolts was larger and destructive then any of the previous Watchmen's Bolts. You felt it was luck nobody suffered any injuries during the situation.

Though the most interesting thing was that unlike any of the other Watchmen, Joy's body remained the same without any physical changes. Marcus and Brandon did not know if the reason she did not change physically was due to a condition of her own or that females exposed to the catalyst did not physically change.

You were now more than certain that there was a supernatural thing occurring and whatever it was it was maybe connected to the stones since just before the tile fell from the ceiling, the same feeling of chill was felt in the room.

So now, you not only had to deal with this supernatural presence but BW's 2IC was in a coma, crippling your military's capabilities. You had your hands full in the coming days.

Situation- Joy transformed into a Watchman, in a coma (same scenario as Fear in order to wake up applied here), bonuses and actions of Joy are unavailable until she wakes up; Fear still in coma (20 next turn); Laboratory damaged, action required to fix, -1 Learning action and Laboratory bonus unavailable until it's fixed.

Well, the first two weeks of November have gone by and the situation in BW is a mixture of good, bad and just plain ass weird.

Good that construction of the medical factory has begun without any problems.

Bad that the Laboratory suffered an accident and that Joy is in a coma after getting hit with a catalyst.

Weird that Fury somehow managed to rat out all the KGB moles in the CIA and humiliating them at the same time; and Joy transforming into a Watchmen due to what you and everyone in BW, at least those that are not scientist, is a ghost or something since this was the third time an accidental transformation has occurred.

You really hope that the rest of the month continues normally. Though you are starting to wonder what constitutes as normal in BW these days.

You kind of hoped Joy would be able to help him since she might as well know this procedures word by word but with her in a coma, you decided to take some time and help Fury with the teaching.

You will be honest, you at first though your soldiers were going to have trouble following the procedures since this stuff was mostly things that an agent must do, not army grunts. But thankfully your soldiers decided to prove you wrong and took in the classes like fish to water. They understood all the things you and Fury were teaching them, from standard procedures in getting evidence, handling witnesses to even exotic scenarios you presented them they managed to come up with either legitimate excuses and/or covers when explaining to local LEOs.

When you asked them how, some of them told you that they didn't want to get burned if an op went wrong, cause it's usually the grunts that get the blame; which you could not blame them for thinking since it was true. That and they did not want to disappoint Joy.

At the end, you and Fury were proud that BW's soldiers could handle this. Fury even made the comment that they could now be excellent field agents, at a novice level at least.

Without Joy, BW's military was less efficient. You needed to find someone to take her place while she was in her coma. Thus, you decided to search her office to see if she left anything behind in case of an emergency.

While searching through her office, you got lucky during the search when you found an index card taped to the bottom of the desk drawer. The card had the following written in Joy's handwriting.

In case of an emergency or my death, find this person. Complete trust.

Jack, XX-XXX-XXX

Realizing that Joy left this, you ordered Fury to look up the person with what looked like to be a service number.

You got back with an answer days later in the form of Jack Bauer, a decorated member of the Green Berets who served in the Korean War. According to Fury, Jack was originally assigned to the CIA working in Vietnam in their CIDG program, but he now had no current long-term assignment because of a recent failure over at Vietnam and the CIA's current disaster. Though Fury could not find anything regarding why Joy asked for him.

Taking the chance, you send the request to have Jack come to BW for an interview for a potential assignment and depending on how it goes, reveal to Jack her current status.

Days later, Jack arrives at the base. Upon meeting him personally, which included the obvious surprise at seeing your stature and body, you led Jack to your office where you began to interview him.

An hour later, which throughout the entire interview Jack kept a respectful and stoic attitude; of asking him question regarding his service and some not deep personal ones, he questioned you why you asked for him. Instead of telling him, you ordered him to follow you. You led him to the infirmary where upon entering you saw him get surprised at seeing Joy in her coma and for the first time since meeting him drop his stoic personality and angrily demand what happened to her.

So, you told him the whole truth; About BW's existence, about the Watchmen and about Joy's transformation. Using your Bolts as a small demonstration served as a good to make Jack accept the story. You also gave him Joy's hidden card to show him how exactly you managed to find him.

After hearing your explanation, he asked what exactly you wanted him to do. You told him that with Joy in her coma, the position of BW's military head was open and until she wakes up, you wanted him to run it in her stead since she left that note saying to trust him. As for what he would do after she wakes up, that was up to him and Joy.

You will admit that you honestly forgot what November 30 was.

Day started out like normal, with the people in BW still reeling from celebrating Thanksgiving Day, during which you used BW's funds to finance a surprise party for the people that were left in the base, which they all thanked you for. Though the amount of turkeys that were eaten that day were probably higher than the norm due to the Watchmen's' larger appetites. Heck some of them were stuffed with Tacpur.

Nothing out of the ordinary happened until it came time for dinner that when you arrived at the conspicuously empty mess hall, before suddenly all the base personnel came out of hiding yelling 'Surprise!'. You were grateful that you had control of your Bolts otherwise you could have shot someone in shock. It's then when you realized something important.

You forgot it was your own birthday.

For the rest of the day, you celebrated with the rest of BW receiving gifts from each person. Marcus even made you and the rest of the Watchmen a very large cake made of Tacpur in addition to a normal cake for the normal people.

The only downside of the party was knowing that Joy and Fear were not there to celebrate it, both still in their comas.

After the party, you contemplated on the fact that you were now 39 years old and the things you managed to accomplish during this whole time were beyond what you could've expected. You just hope your luck continues and nothing bad happens.

Though a weird occurred the next day while checking your mail, you found a package from a law firm located in Switzerland of all places.

Inside the package were three things. One was a letter from the law firm stating that they were carrying out the instructions on the will of a recently deceased Boris Volgin from the Soviet Union, that the contents of the package were to be delivered to you in the event of his death. Said death according to the lawyers occurred during the first week of November of the current year, ruled as a suicide.

It took you a few moments to recall why the name Volgin sounded familiar, but it clicked. Volgin was the last name of that mad dog Yevgeny Borisovitch Volgin, who might as well be the living example of every single bad thing the propaganda boys say about the Soviets.

He was the reason you did not work with Soviets. You remember it quite clearly when you and others from the Allies were assigned to a local NKVD group, that Volgin oversaw. At first things were normal, but later you saw how Volgin and his group dealt with a group of 'deserters' and got into a fight with him, resulting in him getting scars on his face.

If it wasn't because of the war and the fact that there were multiple foreign soldiers in the area, you knew that the Soviets would have silenced you with Volgin taking pleasure in doing the deed. After that, you did not trust the Soviets anymore, especially Volgin. It did not help them when you found out that Volgin was directly involved in the Katyn massacre.

You decide to look at the personal note that was apparently written by Boris. You were just thankful that you knew Russian.

If you are reading this, then that sukin syn of my son has killed me. Normally I would never consider for a capitalist dog like you to have this, but better you than that son of mine, especially his reaction if he finds out where it went and who has it.

Udachi

After reading the note, you looked at the third thing, which that you apparently inherited; it was a microfilm. You had no idea why Boris sent you this or why he did not want his son to have it.
