The Secret Life Of Casualty.

Chapter 382

Sam felt sick as she took in the sight of the upturned ambulance. Bile come up in her throat and she could hear the terrified screams of her injured colleagues, she couldn't just stand there and wait for emergency services. She rushed forward and pried open the doors; the stretcher Alicia has been lying on was lopsided on the floor and ruby had hit her head. She didn't know what colleagues to go to first. She went to Alicia. She pulled the trolley up and wheeled it out. Leaving the other ambulance crew to attend to the fragile doctor.

What she didn't know was while attending to Ruby, flames had begun to take over the ambulance.

"Ruby, your going to be fine" She told the new parademic, getting her kit.

"Sam!" Iain shouted, rushing forward but he felt a restraining pair of arms around him.

Ruby began to smell a strange smell. Shaking Sam's arm, Sam only had enough time to pull open the doors and let Ruby out as flames overtook the ambulance, rendering her ex doctor slowly unconscious but she was not scared.

Once fire fighters had finally arrived, and it was safe to go in, Iain rushes towards the ambulance and carried Sam's body out. Her face was full of smoke and ash. He lay her on a trolley before pulling a blanket over her

with Alicia in surgery, Ruby in cubicles for her minor injury's, mostly to her face, Iain knew it was up to him to tell the team.

"Everyone. I have some news. Sam unfortunately never survived the accident "

Robyn cried. Dylan went quiet in respect for his ex. Ruby felt bad because Sam wouldn't have died if she hadn't gone in the ambulance. Her body was taken to the chapel of rest where colleagues paid their respects to her. Next come the hard task of tracking down her parents. Iain wasn't looking forward to that.
