The Secret Life Of Casualty
Chapter 494
Ruby and Iain looked at each other. "What the hell?" Iain repeated, louder this time.
"I don't know, " Ruby replied, "I want to check on them to see if they were ok and they weren't in their cots. "
"We'll find them." Iain put an arm around Ruby, holding her close. "Don't worry. "
"How?" Ruby asked.
"We call the police. " Iain said, getting his phone and calling 999.
It didn't take long for the police to arrive, at the Dean household. There were two officers, a male and a female.
Iain answered the door as soon as he seen the police car pull up.
"Thank you for coming, " Said Iain.
"This is PC Laura Willams and I'm PC Tony Armstrong. " Tony introduced himself and his work partner. "Whats the problem?"
"Our twins our missing " Said Ruby.
"When did you notice they were missing?" Asked Laura, a blonde.
"I haven't heard them crying so I went to check their cots and noticed they were empty. " Tears slipped down Ruby's cheek as she spoke.
"How old are they?" Laura asked.
"Three months" Ruby answered.
"Was there anyone in the house before the twins went missing?" Laura asked, taking notes of what she was being told.
Iain nodded. "Our colleague, Jessica Harrison. "
"Please find them, " Ruby said.
"We will try our best. " Laura nodded and offered a small smile, as Iain took Ruby's hand. "Do you have a recent picture of them?"
Ruby nodded and walked over to the shelf where a photo framed picture of both twins was. She took it out and handed it over to the police officer.
When the police left, Ruby headed up the stairs and picked up the blue and pink teddy that Robyn had brought the twins after they were born. Iain felt helpless, he'd never been in the situation before, he didn't know what to do. He just hoped Laura and Tony could bring the twins home safely.
