So, it turned out, I had accidentally uploaded the same chapter twice, I'll make this an extra long chapter to make up for it, so this chapter follows on from the previous one, with some Robyn and Ruby friendship.
Indi: Thank you for the review, glad you thought it was a rollercoaster of chapters.
Laura: Thank you for the review, you'll see if Iain wakes up soon.
The Secret Life Of Casualty.
Chapter 505.
Iain's friends such as Jacob, David, Charlie and Cal had each spent time with their unconcious friend.
"Come on, Iain, Ruby needs you to wake, " Said Cal.
Robyn meanwhile was at home, keeping Ruby company. She made her a cup of coffee. "Iain, will be fine, Ruby, he's a fighter. "
Ruby put her head in her hands, she was exhausted.
"Why don't we take Sophia and Iain to the park" Robyn suggested. "Charlotte loves it. "
Ruby agreed and after a shower, she was ready, the kids were in their double pram and Charlotte was in her mum's arms. Ruby opened the door and pushed the pram down the path as she locked up, as her and Robyn walked to the park.
Robyn put Charlotte in the swing and heard her daughter laughing as she pushed her.
Ruby sat on the bench, the twins in their pram, both asleep.
Ruby pulled her phone out of her bag, it was ringing and Zoe was flashing up on her screen. Half of her didn't want to answer as she was scared. Had Iain taken a turn for the worst?
"Answer it, " Said Robyn, taking Charlotte out of the swing.
Ruby shook her head.
"I'll answer it, " Said Robyn, taking Ruby's phone out of her hand.
"Ruby, it's Zoe" Said Zoe as the call was answered.
"It's Robyn, Dr. Hanna" Robyn replied. Ruby looked at Robyn. "Thank you, Dr. Hanna"
Robyn handed Ruby her phone. "What did Zoe want?" Ruby asked.
"Zoe's going to take Iain off his ventilator" Robyn told her, a small smile came to her face. They legged it to the hospital, and out of breath, headed up to Iain's side room, Robyn waited outside with the babies.
Zoe turned to Ruby. "I'm going to remove the ventilator to see if Iain breathes on his own"
Ruby nodded, sitting down in the chair and taking his hand. She was anxious but hopeful that he would wake up. Zoe slowly unscrewed the tube and moved it away, before putting her stethoscope in and checking his chest.
"Come on, Iain" She said.
Ruby looked out of the window, at Robyn who was giving Sophia a bottle. Ruby had an idea, she walked out of the room, for a few moments, took Sophia out of Robyn's arms and walked back in to the room. She gently placed Sophia on Iain's chest. Sophia gurgled.
"Carefully, Sophia, Daddy's sore" Iain whispered.
Ruby's eyes lit up. "Iain" She said as she hugged him.
"Careful Ruby" Iain said.
Zoe spoke then. "We'll keep you in for observation, but all being well, you can go home soon. "
"Thanks Zoe" Iain hated hospital beds and wanted to get home to Ruby and the kids as soon as he could.
Ruby poured him a glass of water and helped him get it to his lips. "My own personal nurse ." He joked.
Ruby slapped him. "Hey" He said.
Robyn come in. "Nice to have you back Iain. " She smiled.
Iain nodded.
"Why don't I take the kids back to mine?" She suggested, wanting to give the husband and wife some time alone.
"Iain and Ruby both nodded. "Thanks," Said Ruby. "I'll see you in the morning. "
"Robyn nodded, smiled and left the room, heading to the lifts as with three small children, it would be difficult to get them down the stairs. She pressed the lift button and waited, before the doors opened. She pushed the pram in to the lift and pressed the button.
"Babysitting?" Charlie joked as he seen her push the pram and trying to keep hold of Charlotte.
Robyn nodded. "Yep, "
Robyn decided to walk home as her small car only contained Charlotte's car seat and she didn't have the twins.
She finally saw her house and unlocked the door, pushing the pram inside and locking the door.
Walking up the stairs, she put Charlotte in bed, and read her a story, before heading back down the stairs, she needed to decide what to do with the twins, most of Charlotte's baby stuff was in storage. She decided to keep them in the pram for the night.
