Chapter 570
Ruby's POV.
It was with a heavy heart I had decided to leave Holby behind, after amputating the woman's arm, I had realised if she could cope with loosing an arm, I could be there for baby Harmony.
"Jan?" I asked, walking in to the rec room.
"What is it, Ruby?" She asked.
"I'm leaving" I told her, hating the fact she would be a paramedic down for now but Fenisha could replace me.
"What?" Jan replied shocked.
"I need to be there for Harmony." I told her.
"I'll miss you, love" Jan wasn't known for showing her emotions, but she suddenly pulled me in to a hug.
"I'll miss you to Jan" I said as she released the hug.
"Right then, " Jan said, just as Lev walked in.
"What's going on?" He asked.
"Lev, I'm leaving" I told him.
"Why?" He asked.
"I need to be there for Harmony" I repeated what I'd told Jan.
Lev nodded, wished me luck and later once I'd packed, offered to drive me to the airport.
At the end of my shift, I went home to the small Farmead flat I'd rented once I'd moved out of Alicia's and later Robyn's house.
"Ready?" Lev asked, waiting on the pavement, in his car.
"I guess"
He takes the bags off me and puts them in the boot.
"Stay safe Ruby" He tells me gruffly.
I nodded, hugged him, and wished him luck with Luka's cancer fight.
Taking a deep breath, I walked in, Lavender and Hugo are waiting for me at the airport, baby Harmony in her pram.
"Hi, baby" I replied, lifting her up and tickling her tummy.
It would be tough being away from Holby and my friends but for this little girl whose now in my arms, it would be worth it.
