Erin groaned a little as she looked up to see that David had already finished getting dressed while she was still lazing about in bed. "Darling, would you please go pull the car around while I get ready?" she asked as she raked her fingers through her hair, smiling a little at the little knots her fingers encountered.

"I think that I can do that, stellina," he growled as he came over to her side and leaned down, kissing her passionately before tugging her to her feet, allowing the sheet to fall back on the bed as she wrapped her legs around his body, letting him hold her up as he guided her over to the wall, the kiss deepening as she pressed herself against the wall in order to hold herself up as his hands roamed up and down her torso, paying close attention to her breasts, since he knew that that drove her wild. "Um, maybe this was the wrong decision to make."

"Perhaps. Jessica is waiting for us back home. Go, before I ask you to finish this, and my back aches for weeks." She gave him one more kiss, nipping his lower lip before pushing him gently away and planting her feet firmly on the floor. "Though as soon as the girls are asleep, we will finish this. I promise."

He chuckled as he raked his eyes up and down her body. "That is a sweet promise that I cannot wait to fulfill." Giving her a quick wink, he went over to the door and slipped out of it, leaving her alone so that she could get dressed. This had been a whirlwind decision, with the cigar convention in town and all, and Jessica had kindly agreed to watch the girls while they attended. As such, she didn't have fresh clothes to change into, instead, pouring herself into the outfit she had worn to the office the previous day, shoving her panties into her purse, as she didn't feel like wearing those a second day. Knowing that there was no hope for her hair, she pulled her comb out of her purse and tried to tame it as best she could before heading out of the room and down to the lobby to turn in her key.

Once she was done with that, Erin stepped outside and paused, fluffing up her hair as she licked her lips, the sunlight much too bright for her liking. "I should have brought my sunglasses in," she muttered as she looked around for David's car. Feeling eyes on her, she glanced over to see that Penelope and Doctor Reid were staring at her in shock, looking at her like she had grown a second head. A warm wave of embarrassment washed over her, and she fought not to react as she sashayed down the stairs and along the walk until she had reached David's Cadillac.

"Good morning. I didn't know that you two were interested in cigars."

"We're here for the sci-fi convention," Penelope squeaked out, desperately looking anywhere but at Erin. "Um, I think that we should get back to that? Unless you want to join us?"

She laughed as she shook her head. "I don't think that you'd have fun with me tagging along. Besides, we have to relieve Jess, since she's watching the girls for us. Enjoy your day!" She waggled her fingers at them before slipping into the passenger seat and putting on her sunglasses as David started to drive home. They had just pulled into the driveway when both their phones began to ring loudly, and she frowned as she pulled hers out of her purse. "Why is the Director calling on a Saturday?" she murmured as she answered. "Hello?"

"Erin. There's an incident going down at the Colonial Liberty Bank, and we've been called in, since it's a hostage situation."

From the sounds of David's voice, he was talking to Aaron, and she knew that it truly was a serious situation. "We've just arrived home, Ron. Can you give us twenty to change, at least?"

"Be as quick as you can. We do not want this to devolve into a more serious situation than it already has. One officer has been shot and killed, while one of the unsubs was also wounded by return fire. It's a powder keg ready to go off, and while I know that Dave and Aaron are extremely good negotiators, I still need everyone on their A-game. I will call for updates in the hour, and text you with directions while you two get ready."

"Thank you," she replied breathlessly as she stepped out of the car and hurried into the house. From the way that Jessica greeted her at the door, she knew that news had already reached her about what was going on, and she gave Erin a concerned look. "Please, tell me that you can take care of the children?"

"That was the plan already. Beth has Jack, so we don't have to worry about him, but I was thinking I'd take the girls, at least, to my parents' house for the day. Of course, if the older ones want to come along, they're welcome, too. I just want to keep little eyes away from the news."

Erin nodded absently as she made her way through the house and up to her bedroom, Jessica following at her heels. "I don't have much time, I need to get into a different outfit. Jess…"

"I know, but I also know that you're going to be strong, and lead, because that's what you're so good at." Before Erin could protest, the woman had tugged her into a tight hug, and she sighed a little as she relaxed in the embrace, refusing to allow herself to cry in that moment. That would be for when everything was over and she could be alone with her husband. "Now, I'm going to get Catherine up, and we'll meet you downstairs so that you can give love and kisses to them before you head back out."

Again, she nodded and stepped into the master bedroom, surprised to find David hot at her heels, having never heard him come up behind her. Still, it was nice to have his presence there as they stripped off the previous evening's clothes and changed into fresh things. Knowing that she would be out in the field, she decided to dress down a little, opting for jeans and a dark colored blouse that would sit will under a vest, since she knew that that would be part of her outfit once they arrived on scene. "I did not want this to be the start of our Saturday together, Erin."

"That's the thing about unsubs, they don't really care that we have a weekend off. But I have faith that you'll be able to talk these people down early enough where we can relax for the rest of the weekend before heading back into work on Monday."

He nodded as he closed his arms around her waist, burying his nose in her hair and breathing in deeply as he rocked her back and forth a little. "I love your faith in us, Erin. Now, are you ready to head back out?"

"Yes. I'm not going to take anything other than my service weapon, license, and phone. There's too much chaos on a scene like that to take more." He nodded before kissing her cheek and then they were heading back downstairs. True to her word, Jessica had Catherine and Elise ready for them in the kitchen, and she hugged and kissed her girls in turn, reminding them to be good for Aunt Jessica, since they had to go out and work a case. It was so hard to let them go and head back into the garage, but David finally managed to peel her away from them and then they were headed back out, trying to find her inner core of steel, knowing that she would need that in spades that day.
