A.N. — This drabble's introspective direction was dictated by a reviewer (the always chatty NotBurgerKing), though the focus on a specific small aspect was my decision. This was originally going to be an examination of the licensing exam from the losing perspective. Just a friendly reminder that I do listen to requests. So if there's anything you want to see, comment.

225. Saiko Intelli

Drinking tea for pleasure was rare for Saiko. Given its effect on her IQ quirk, she viewed the beverage more as a support item than a warm cup of comfort. The times tea failed her, though, were when Saiko habitually turned to it for its original, intended, purpose.

Saiko loved stringing together intricate plans in her mind palace. But sometimes, all the variables grew too complex, the rush of tannins crashing. Saiko sought solace in a steaming cup to contemplate the one thing that often foiled her strategies: emotion. Empathy and high IQ were an equation Saiko just couldn't balance.
