A.N. — In an unfortunate turn of events, a family emergency delayed the posting time of this chapter by a few hours. I was close to missing the day entirely if things had gone another way. This drabble starts off a pair, and is connected to yesterday's via familial relationships.

292. Chizuo

He wanted to believe the best about all of his family members, but Chizuo could no longer brush aside Kotaro Shimura's behavior.

Chizuo was always willing to share sweets and stories with his grandkids, but anything hero-themed was off the table. He knew the youngsters would be over the moon to learn about their heroic lineage, but the biggest act of goodwill Chizuo could perform was not telling them what he knew and thus sparing them their father's ire. His son-in-law might be a hero's child, but Chizuo saw no traces of nobility left in the man.
