A.N. — The previous three drabbles were stray relatives that couldn't fit elsewhere. Now it's time to round up the loose end UA students (those without birthdays, at any rate) still remaining. This is the last member of UA's support course left. As I'm not up-to-date with the Final War arc, I made this more speculative that plot-related.

294. Maina Furasu

Students in the support course were often alleged to have a screw loose. Maina decided to lampshade that by accessorizing with an invention.

Her signature headband was one of the first things she crafted after starting at UA. It had two types of screwdriver heads jutting out on either side, a visual clapback at her detractors.

She wasn't brave enough to confront the people she heard doing the badmouthing, but wearing her creation showed that she'd heard what was said and didn't care what they thought of her. Innovators like Maina had to blaze new trails to discovery despite opposition.
