A.N. — The Hero Billboard Chart, where this guy's ranking was revealed, happened earlier in November. But the start of the month was chock-full of heroes, so this longstanding pro had to wait till now. This also starts a stretch of characters (with a few exceptions) I felt were complex, complicated, and tough to write for.
324. Yoroi Musha
For being the Equipped Hero, Yoroi Musha wasn't equipped for was the public's opinion to turn so abruptly against his decades of selfless service. He knew, in his heart, he could still carry out the rigors of the job despite his advancing age. But was it worth putting up with the everyday aches and pains alongside the newfound derision from those he was supposed to be protecting?
Deciding the answer was 'no' was the hardest moment of his career.
Perhaps the vocation's practices had passed him by. But armor wasn't so easily shed, and Yoroi couldn't relax even in retirement.
