Show business is probably the toughest business there is because not everyone plays fair. Robert Roomar and the music spoiled brat Z walked into the Allard Hotel to enjoy the nice restaurant they have to offer.
"Mr. Roomar, welcome to you and your son. I do hope that you both enjoy your time here." Aidan said as they walked by.
"Thanks, Aidan. I assume you saved a special table for us." Robert said. Aidan showed them directly to the table so the two could talk. "So, what do you have for me this time, Z?"
"Check it pops. It's a great beat. It's got to be since I actually liked someone else's work." Z said as he's casually admitted he plagiarize someone. He opened up his computer and played a melody to "his" latest song. However, Robert did notice something about it.
"It sounds too much like what you had before." Robert pointed out. Z checked it out with his other song and it did sound like something he had before.
"No wondered I liked it. I actually copied myself." Z laughed. "Still, aren't I suppose to go on soon? What are we going to do about that? I've got nothing. I can't find anything with any of those wannabees out there."
"Just leave it all to me." Robert said as he has a sneaky and conniving idea to help his son and to make himself more money.
...
Lucy
"That's right. We're offering all you musicians out there to submit to us your own personal song." Robert recorded a video and sent it out all over the web. Lucy showed it to Sting, Rogue, Lisanna, and Gajeel since they all performed in a band before. It could be a great opportunity for all of them. "The winning song will have great things in store for them."
"That sounds...awesome!" Gajeel said.
"You think we can really win?" Lisanna said.
"I know we can." Sting said.
"Sting's right. We've got to try and take the chance." Rogue said.
"I knew you guys would love this." Lucy said.
"And you can help out, Lucy." Sting believed. "I heard you're quite the writer. Maybe you and I can work on a winning song. You can do the lyrics and I can do the music."
"Me? I don't know, Sting. I've never written a song before." Lucy said. "What I've written before are just some small stories."
"It will be fine. It's just like writing a poem." Sting said. "Besides, even if we don't win, this could be a lot of fun." Lucy was glad to help them out, but she is a little nervous about working around Sting. Ever since they met, there appears to be a little something between them, but she doesn't get as nervous around him as she does with Natsu. Either way, the contest would be a lot of fun and could be a chance for all of them to be discovered.
"Let's do it! Time to rock!" Gajeel called as all of them were fully in this. Since they all decided to compete in this contest, each one of them gave it their best shot. With Sting and Lucy working together, they wrote a great song that they all loved. They even put in a great design for them to look like real rockers. They showed how serious they were about winning this contest and it looked like their chances were good.
...
Gajeel's Boat
They all performed on Gajeel's boat as they kept rehearsing the song. It seemed like it all went well. With the finishing of another rehearsal, Sting was really feeling it.
"This is awesome. The song, the melody, and the feeling itself is amazing." Sting said.
"You got that right. I don't think we've ever sounded so good." Rogue said. All of them loved it, but Lucy kept her focus on the phone, hoping to hear about a winner. It's been a few days now and there has been no announcement or anything. She was beginning to think the worst of this situation.
"Are you okay, Lucy?" Sting asked as he sat next to her.
"Shouldn't we have heard something by now?" Lucy questioned. "Maybe our song wasn't good enough."
"They probably received hundreds, maybe even a thousand entries. It's going to take some time for them to go through all of them." Sting said. "Just try to relax. Even if we don't win, we wrote a great song and this was a great time." Lucy was beginning to feel better. Sting certainly knows what to say to make her feel better.
"Uh... You guys might want to see this." Lisanna said as she was looking out the window. All of them took a look and couldn't believe what they were seeing and hearing. They saw live footage on a monitor that Z was performing their song and using a cheap imitation of their look. They were all appalled, astonished, and just simply shocked.
"What an amazing song, Z." Chapti said as he was reporting on it. "Where did you ever come up with that?"
"I'm just that good." Z claimed.
"What gives?! That's our song!" Gajeel said with anger.
"I don't believe this! They ripped us off and are claiming our song is there own!" Rogue said.
"There has to be an explanation for this." Lucy said.
"Maybe, but I think the situation speaks for itself, Lucy." Sting said.
"I'm going take that Z's bling and smashed it all against him." Gajeel said as he popped his knuckles.
"Calm down, everyone. We'll get to the bottom of this." Lucy said as she tried being the voice of reason. "Let's go talk to Mr. Roomar about this." Lucy's hoping for the best, but what they're all hoping for isn't going to be easy to get from a scheming guy that is only interested in making money.
...
The Studio
Lucy and the others made their way to the studio, but they could tell there not just going to be let in. There was a guard standing at the door. From how it looks, he wasn't going to let them through so easily, especially since they don't really have a connection inside.
"How are we going to get around security?" Rogue questioned.
"I already have an idea." Lucy said. Lucy's idea was working. She had Lisanna, Rogue, and Gajeel create some noise and tried disturbing the peace, or at least distract security at the door.
"Hey! All of you stop that!" The guard said as he tried to get them to go. That allowed Sting and Lucy to go right through the door and head right up to where Z and Roomar are at. They got right in the elevator and headed straight up.
"You ready?" Sting asked.
"Yeah. What they're doing isn't right." Lucy said. "By the way, what's with your guitar? Why did you bring it?"
"To show everyone who the real geniuses behind that song is." Sting said. Both of them seemed ready for this. Once they arrived on the right floor, they marched right into the studio right when Z finished his performance. Once they got there, they saw Robert standing in there with his son going over to him.
"Excuse me, Mr. Roomar. We need to talk to you." Lucy said.
"I know what this is about. If you want my son to give you an autograph, go and wait with the other fans." Robert said. "Of course, for the right price, I can cut you in right now."
"You better split some of that money with me." Z said.
"We're not here for an autograph." Lucy said.
"That's our song you guys just swiped." Sting said.
"I'm sorry. I don't know what you're talking about." Robert said as he was acting like he did nothing wrong.
"You know what we're talking about." Sting said. "You hosted a contest and we submitted a song, the same song that Z just performed."
"So what?" Z said.
"You stole our song!" Lucy said. "Those our lyrics, our music, and even our design. You just stole it and claim that it's your own."
"And we can prove it too." Sting said as he took the pick from his guitar and started playing a part of their song.
"That doesn't prove anything. For all I know, you learned how to do that after seeing my son perform." Robert said.
"You can't do this." Lucy said. "You promised that Sting and our friends would get something amazing."
"I said that we're looking for someone to submit a song, but I didn't say what we were going to do with it." Robert claimed. "Something amazing did happen. My son actually thinks your song is good enough to copy. Everyone is going to hear it."
"But they'll all think you wrote it yourselves." Sting said. "We should be the ones performing live. Lucy deserves credit too since she's the one who wrote those lyrics, and even the designs you cheaply copied."
"Are you kidding? Do you have any idea how long it took me to copy this stuff?" Z said as he was acting like he was the victim here.
"A lot less time than Lucy spent actually making all that stuff." Sting claimed.
"All we're asking is for you to live up to what you promised. Just let Sting and the rest of the band perform live on television." Lucy said. "It's the right thing to do and that's all we're asking."
"No way. Next thing I know, they're asking for the profit, a record deal, and everything else." Robert refused. All of this was enraging Lucy and Sting, and Lucy won't let it stand.
"If you won't tell the truth, I will." Lucy said as she marched right pass them to tell the truth, but Robert grabbed her by the arm and stopped her from doing anything.
"You really think that's a good idea?" Robert said. "Please. Everyone will think your the one taking credit for our work. I have the money, the power, and even the lawyers to do whatever I want. There's nothing you can do about it. If you try, I'll make sure you never even work in this town again. Your friends won't perform anything. Your life will be completely over." Sting was enraged by these people ripping them off, but threating Lucy like that brought his rage to it's max.
...
Black Wizard
"I can feel the rage of someone wrongly being schemed, as well as the echoes of lies and deception." Black Wizard used that rage as he took an etherious and gave it some dark power. "Fly, my evil etherious. Let's help him make his voice loud and clear!"
...
The Studio
The etherious flew all the way to the studio, reaching sting. It went into his guitar pick and connected Sting to him.
"Truthseeker, I'm Black Wizard. These people have wronged you, as well as threatened someone you care about. Well, I can help you expose the truth. Your powers will even help expose Celestria's and Salamondra's identities. That will make it easier to take their miraculous. Can I count on you when it comes to them?"
"Honestly, it doesn't matter to me. I'll get those miraculous, but I will bring this guy to justice." Sting accepted the power as he began to transform.
"It's my song now, so get use to it." Z said as he and his father feel there's nothing he can do. Suddenly, a bullet of light was shot at him and hit him. "Of course, it was yours and I just swiped it to make money for myself because I don't like putting effort into anything." All of them, even Z, was a little surprised that Z was so truthful like that.
"You're a disgrace to musicians when nothing of you is original." All of them looked and shocked to see Sting in his new form. He wore a white open vest with white pants and boots. Even his arms were as white as a blinding light. He had gold lining around the edges of his vest with them running down his pants. He also had a gold mask going around his eyes and around a white glowing spot that was acting like a third eye. His guitar pick was also turned into a pendent with an eye on it that hung around his neck.
"Sting?" Lucy questioned.
"Robert Roomar, you were the one that caused all of this." Truthseeker claimed. "If the truth is going to come out from anyone, it's going to be you." Seeing that a supervillain is attacking them, Roomar and his son ran off. Sting was about to chase after Robert, but Lucy stood in the way.
"Sting, don't do this." Lucy said.
"It's okay, Lucy." Truthseeker said. "I'll use the powers that Black Wizard gave me to expose the truth and justice will be served against this creep."
"Don't do this, Sting." Lucy pleaded. "This is revenge, not justice. This isn't the right way to handle this."
"Maybe, but he'll pay for threating you like that." Truthseeker claimed. "The truth is Lucy that I haven't stopped thinking about you since the day we met. You're something special, Lucy. I won't let anyone talk to you like that." Lucy was stunned that he said that, but wonders if it's Truthseeker talking or the real Sting. Once he ran passed her, Lucy snapped out of it and ran to the bathroom so she could transform.
"That sounded like a declare of feelings." Stella said.
"You think? Weird coming from a villain, but I wonder if that is how Sting really feels. This guy is all about the truth." Lucy said.
"Think about it later. We need to get to work now." Stella said. Agreeing with Stella, they had to get to work.
"Stella, Twinkle!" Stella was pulled in the earrings with Lucy transforming into Celestria. One thing that is true is that she needs to stop Truthseeker and save Sting.
...
The Roof
Robert ran all the way to the top of the building to find cover, but all he really did was find himself trapped. Truthseeker tracked him down and had him cornered.
"It's time to tell the truth, Robert." Sting said. He was about to use his powers right on him. Sting fired a shot from his third eye, but Celestria arrived just in time and blocked the shot with her whip.
"About time you showed up." Robert said.
"Listen to me, Sting." Celestria said as she tried to reason with him. "Don't let Black Wizard manipulate you. He's evil and is only using you. This isn't the way to get the truth out of someone."
"You're not going to get in my way, Celestria, but I do wonder what secrets you're hiding." Truthseeker said.
"What are you doing? Don't talk to him. Fight him!" Robert said as he pushed Lucy towards Truthseeker. Truthseeker went on the attack as he tried attacking her directly, but Celestria blocked and evaded all of his attacks. "No! Not like that! Fight back!"
"You're not helping!" Celestria called. "I'm trying to make sure I don't fall under his power. There are somethings I need to keep secret." Truthseeker tried using his powers again as he tried shooting at her with his third eye, but Celestria kept moving around and avoided each shot. As for Robert, he felt cornered and trapped until he saw a window washer platform he can use to escape. He went straight for it and started heading down.
"Make sure you get that villain good, Celestria!" Robert called as he made his escape.
"Hey! You're not going anywhere!" Truthseeker called as he tried to go after him, but Celestria wouldn't let him. Robert might be a jerk, but Celestria has to protect him. That's why she used her whip and got it around Truthseeker. She tossed him back and had him crash into a vent. "You're going to need to do better than..." Truthseeker pulled himself together, but saw Celestria was gone. He hurried over to the edge of the roof and saw that Robert was gone as well.
"Do not let Celestria escape." Black Wizard told him. "If you can get her with your powers, you'll learn her identity. Then, there will be nowhere that's safe for her."
"Trust me, Black Wizard. I'll get you your miraculous, but I have my own score to settle." Truthseeker said as he jumped off the building and tried to hunt Robert down. Celestria remained at the top of a billboard, but she wasn't going to let Truthseeker escape so easily.
...
Natsu
Natsu was just in his room and was practicing the piano while Igneel was watching television. None of them were aware of what was going on until Igneel spotted Truthseeker running by the window.
"Natsu, I think you're needed." Igneel said.
"Huh?" Natsu questioned. When he turned around, he saw Celestria running by as she was chasing after Truthseeker. "Celestria?"
"I thought it was going to be an easy day, but I guess not." Igneel complained.
"It can't be helped. Igneel, Fire Up!" Natsu had Igneel pulled into the ring and allowed Natsu to become Salamondra. Once he transformed, he hurried after the other two. Celestria tried to keep up with Truthseeker, but she soon lost sight of him.
"Where did he go?" Celestria questioned as she didn't see him anywhere.
"Looking for me?" Salamondra said when he caught up to her.
"No, but I'm glad you showed up." Celestria said. "We've got a situation. Black Wizard turned a boy named Sting into a villain and he's after Robert Roomar."
"Why him?" Salamondra asked.
"Well, let's just say that I don't like the idea of protecting him, but we can't let him be attacked." Celestria said. She may not like it, but a hero has to do what a hero has to do. "We've got to be careful with this one, Salamondra. If we get hit by his attack, we'll be force to tell the truth."
"Does that mean you'll finally say how you really feel about me?" Salamondra teased.
"I don't need a supervillain to do that, but it will mean that Black Wizard could learn our secret identities." Celestria warned. "Come on. I'll explain more on the way." Celestria took off with Salamondra following. Despite how they have to save an awful person, they still need to save an innocent person from Black Wizard's control, but they have to do it before Black Wizard learns who they really are.
...
Robert
Robert was trying to keep a low profile as he kept himself hidden. Some people will do anything to avoid admitting the truth. Robert made sure no one was around, but his phone did go off and saw it was Aiden.
"Aiden! Perfect!" Robert answered. "I need the mayor's help, who also happens to be an old friend."
"I'm well aware of what's going on, Robert. I'm here to help you." Aiden said. "Head back to the television studio. That villain will never think you went back there. I'll meet you there to help you out." Robert just did what he was told as he ended the call and hurried off.
...
City Hall
What Robert didn't know was that Aiden was force to say all that stuff. Truthseeker went to the Mayor Allard instead of Robert since he knew the mayor could help in his trap.
"Excellent work, Mayor Allard." Truthseeker congratulated. He'll have Robert right where he wanted him. Meanwhile, Celestria and Salamondra were right outside City Hall.
"What makes you think Truthseeker will come here if it's Robert he's after?" Salamondra asked.
"He might want to go to Mayor Allard for protection." Celestria theorized. "They have been friends for a long time." They thought he would come, but they saw Truthseeker run out of the building. They ducked down so he wouldn't see them. Truthseeker jumped right over them and headed back to the studio, but they weren't going to lose him that easily.
...
The Studio
Robert was able to make it to the studio without any problems. When he got there, he jumped straight into the elevator and headed up. Robert took a sign of relief as he believed he was safe.
"Looks like I lost that dumb villain. Did he really think he could get me?" Robert taunted.
"I did." Truthseeker said when the elevator opened up and he was standing right there. He grabbed a hold of Robert and threw him to the ground.
"Forget it, pal. You're not going to get me to admit the truth about anything." Robert defied.
"You really don't get it, do you?" Truthseeker said. "My powers will allow you to speak the truth about anything. I'm sure I'm not the only one you ripped off. I'm sure Lucy isn't the only one you threatened. all those dirty and rotten secrets you have will be revealed for everyone to see." Robert didn't like the sound of that. He's a rotten business man. Of course he has some secrets he doesn't want to get out. "I'll end up ruining your life like you threatened to do to Lucy. However, I might be lenient under one condition."
"What condition?" Robert questioned.
"You tell the truth that you ripped me and my friends off." Truthseeker said. "You do that one all on your own, no use of my powers. If you do that, every rotten secret you do have will remain a secret. It's your choice, Roomar. Man up and admit to one thing you did or have everything exposed." Robert didn't like any of that, but he figured one secret is better than having every skeleton in his closet exposed. A little while later, Celestria and Salamondra made it back to the building and soon found the right studio they were in. "Listen up, everyone. I've got a big truth bomb that's about to go down and Robert Roomar here is the one who is going to share it." He showed Roomar tied to a chair and it seemed like he was about to reveal the truth. Celestria readied herself to jump in.
"Wait." Salamondra said as he actually stopped her. "Maybe we should let this happen. The truth about what Roomar did to Sting and his friends will finally be known."
"We can't let that happen, Salamondra." Celestria explained. "Truthseeker has justice confused with revenge. Roomar should willingly admit the truth. Otherwise, he might never learn and could just easily do this to someone else."
"I suppose when you put it like that, you have a point." Salamondra agreed. Now that they were on board, they busted through the door just before Truthseeker could get Roomar to admit the truth. When they busted through, Celestria tossed her whip and lassoed Roomar. She pulled him over and got him over to their side.
"It's about time you showed up!" Robert complained.
"No! The truth must be shared!" Truthseeker shouted.
"You're right, but this isn't the way to do that." Celestria said. "I'm sorry, but we have to stop you. Open the Celestial Gate!" Celestria used her powers and ended up getting a screwdriver with the Libra sign on it. "A Libra screwdriver? How is this suppose to help."
"I'll buy you some time to figure it out." Salamondra said.
"Remember, don't get hit by Truthseeker's third eye or you might have your identity revealed." Celestria reminded. Salamondra got it and went on the attack. He twirled his staff around and tried to strike Truthseeker with it, but Truthseeker stayed out of the way. He tired firing shots from his eyes, but Salamondra blocked each shot.
"I'll get the truth eventually, even if that truth isn't the one I really want." Truthseeker claimed and kept fighting. While they were fighting, Celestria tried to figure out how she can use the screwdriver. It was rather difficult for one blabbing reason.
"What are you waiting for? Get in there." Robert demanded. "Just use your magic and fix everything. Is it even magic at all or are you really just some fraud?" Robert wouldn't stop blabbing and she couldn't take it. She actually kicked him out of the studio.
"You need to learn to shut up." Celestria said and slammed the door right in his face. Now that she can think clearly, she soon spotted the lights and such that were above Salamondra and Truthseeker. That gave her an idea as to how she can use the screwdriver. "Salamondra, try and keep him there!"
"I'll try." Salamondra said before he got kicked back. Celestria jumped above him and spotted got to work. She tried loosening all the screws and whatever else she could. She tried moving as fast as she could while Salamondra tried to fight off Truthseeker. With a few more screws undone, the whole thing was beginning to come apart.
"Salamondra, move!" Celestria called as she jumped away and he followed. As for Truthseeker, he looked up and saw the lights and whole thing fall apart and came down right on top of him. When it settled, Truthseeker was pinned down by the debris. "Burn his pendent."
"Dragon Fire!" Salamondra used his powers and burned Truthseeker's pendent to ashes with the etherious flying out.
"No more evildoing for you, little etherious." Celestria activated the whip and began to purify it. "Time to de-evillize!" She tossed the whip and was able to catch it. "Gotcha! Bye-Bye, little guy! Miraculous Starlight!" After purifying the etherious, she tossed the screwdriver up and unleashed the magic stars that fixed up everything in the building. Truthseeker also turned back to Sting with Celestria helping him up.
"What happened to me?" Sting said.
"I'll tell you what happened!" Robert said as he somehow managed to get back in the studio. "You turned into a villain and harassed me, but you failed. Ha! You thought you could get me to tell the truth? That I used that contest to help my talentless get a good song and completely ripped off you and your little girlfriend? Not a chance! Celestria and Salamondra came to MY rescue! After this, I'm gonna have them as my personal bodyguards! They'll be working for me to make sure you don't ruin anything for me!" Robert took pleasure thinking he was the wrong, but he was so wrong.
"Anything else you like to say in front of the camera...for all of Paris to hear?" Celestria said as she pointed to Salamondra working the camera. Now the truth was exposed and everyone was quickly turning against Robert. He couldn't believe this actually happened to him.
"I...now have suddenly come down with some guilt and would like to invite this young man and his band to perform live at this studio." Robert said to save his own skin.
"Usually we save the good guy from the bad guy, but I'm not sure about this one." Salamondra said.
"Sadly, he's just this greedy and mean." Celestria said, but it looked liked it all really did work out in the end.
...
Black Wizard
"The truth always has a way of coming out, Celestria. That includes your identity." Black Wizard said. "I'll learn your identity soon. When I do, there will be nowhere you can hide!"
...
The Studio
Robert was keeping his word now. Sting and the others were invited to come to the studio and now have a chance to perform their song live on national television. However, there was one thing Lucy wanted to talk to Sting about.
"Sting, do you have a second?" Lucy asked.
"For you, always. What's up?" Sting said before going on the stage.
"I wanted to talk to you about something you said to me earlier when you were Truthseeker." Lucy said.
"Oh... Honestly, I don't remember what happened to me when that happened." Sting said. Lucy was a little disappointed, but figured he wouldn't. "I hope it wasn't rude, was it?"
"No. Nothing like that." Lucy said.
"Good because I would never." Sting said. "If I'm being honest, Lucy, I haven't stopped thinking about you since the day we met. You're something special." That was exactly what Sting said earlier as Truthseeker. That proves it was the real Sting who said that. Lucy couldn't believe it and felt her heart flyaway. "I've got to go." Sting went on stage and performed with his friends, but Lucy couldn't believe it. Her heart couldn't stop beating like a drum from hearing that. Sting really likes Lucy, but the truth is that this could cause some problems down the road.
