It was just another normal day at school for Lucy and her classmates. Mirajane aided Alzack in teaching, Taylor only interested in what's on her phone, Lucy admiring Natsu, and couples passing love notes to each other. All seemed well...except for one thing.
"Hey, have you heard anything from Lisanna?" Levy whispered to Lucy, but Lucy kept staring at Natsu. "Hey." She said as she shook Lucy and got her attention. "Did you hear anything from Lisanna?"
"No. She must still be home sick." Lucy said. Lisanna has been absent for a couple days and her friends are a bit worried. The bell rang and class has ended, but Levy and Lisanna wanted to know more about Lisanna's condition. "Excuse me, Mirajane. Can we ask you something?"
"Of course." Mirajane said.
"We were just wondering how Lisanna is doing. Is everything okay with her?" Levy asked.
"Yes. She's just home with a cold, but seems to be passed the worst of it." Mirajane said. "She should be back in school tomorrow. On top of that, our brother Elfman is watching over her."
"That's good to hear." Levy said.
"It's sweet you're concerned for her, but you really shouldn't worry too much." Mirajane said. "Elfman actually does that enough for all of us."
"Huh? What do you mean?" Lucy questioned.
"Elfman means well. He's a good man, but he can be a little overprotective sometimes." Mirajane claimed. "It's sweet that he cares so much, but he really shouldn't worry so much."
"Really? I don't think I've ever seen your brother like that before." Lucy said.
"Well, it doesn't matter. Lisanna will be fine, but since you are here, could you please do me a favor?" Mirajane asked. "Can one of you please stop by and deliver the homework and lessons she missed so Lisanna doesn't fall behind."
"I wish I could, but Gajeel and I are heading in the opposite direction." Levy said.
"I'll do it. I've got some time to spare." Lucy said as she took all that Lisanna needed. "I could even bring her some croissants and macaroons to help her feel better."
"That would be wonderful, Lucy." Mirajane said as she greatly appreciated Lucy helping her out.
...
Lucy
Once school ended, Lucy stopped by her bakery and grabbed some baked goods to deliver for Lisanna with the schoolwork. She made her way down through the streets towards Lisanna's home and it seemed like today was going to be a normal regular day.
"You think Lisanna will like all this stuff?" Lucy asked.
"I'm sure she will." Stella said from Lucy's purse. "Although, you could slip some down here. I could taste them for you to see how good they really are."
"Nice try." Lucy said as she saw what Stella was really aiming for. "I just hope Lisanna's doing okay. It must be hard being stuck home and not being able to do anything when you're sick."
"Mirajane said she was passed the worst of it, and that their brother has been taking care of her. I'm sure all is fine." Stella said. "On that note, I don't know much about Lisanna's brother. You never really mentioned him."
"Elfman? He's a good guy, and pretty big and strong." Lucy said. "He's only about a year younger than Mira, and is in college like she is. Although, I don't know what Mirajane was talking about with him being overprotective." Lucy thought everything was handled, but things aren't always how they seem to be. All of a sudden, she heard screaming and saw people running in the opposite direction of her. "Huh? What's going on?"
"Lucy! Watch out!" Stella warned. Lucy looked up and saw a car flying through the air and was about to crash down on her. She acted quickly as she jumped out of the way before the car could crashed down on her.
"Where did that come from?" Lucy questioned. That was when she could feel something from the ground like something large and heavy was moving in her direction. Lucy looked down the street and spotted some sort of monster. The monster had thick fur with a muscular body and wore pants. It also had horns and horn-like structure coming out of the shoulders. It also had white hair like a mane with a beard. Whatever it was, the beast unleashed a mighty and terrifying roar. "What is that thing?!"
"I don't know, but don't you think this would be a good time to run?!" Stella said. She certainly had a point as Lucy got up and started running. The monster chased after her and it was gaining on her. It was coming closer and closer until Lucy jumped to the side. She jumped into an alleyway to escape, but the monster kept going like it was looking for something.
"What was that? Who was that?" Lucy questioned.
"If you ask me, this has Black Knight written all over it." Stella pointed out. "We'll get answers if Celestria helps out." Lucy agreed to that.
"Stella, Twinkle!" Stella was pulled straight into the earrings and allowed Lucy to become Celestria. When she transformed, she jumped in the air and swung after the monster. The monster tore through the streets and was wrecking everything like it didn't have a care in the world.
"Time to lasso in this animal." Celestria said as she acted like a cowgirl and threw her whip around the beast. However, he jumped out of the way. "What? How did it do that when he wasn't even looking?" That was when the beast grabbed a hold of the whip and looked rather angry with Celestria. "Oh boy..." She said as she wasn't going to like this. The beast started spinning around with Celestria holding on for dear life. The monster gave her a good spin before it finally released and sent her flying through the air. Celestria was about to crash right into the ground, but Salamondra showed up at the last minute and was able to catch her.
"I've heard of Beauty and the Beast, but that was ridiculous." Salamondra claimed. "Besides, aren't I your little beastie?"
"Seriously?" Celestria said as she felt that joke was just bad. "I'll give you this. You can be a bit of a beast yourself." She claimed as she got back on her feet. "Did you know about that thing?"
"I just now saw on the news that something was tearing through Paris streets." Salamondra said. "So, what are we up against this time?"
"I don't know, but it's certainly strong." Celestria said. "Come on. We've got a beast to tame." She said as the two of them got moving after the monster. They moved through the rooftops of the buildings and saw it tearing through the streets and was sniffing the air.
"What's it doing?" Salamondra questioned.
"I think it's looking for something." Celestria said.
"I wonder if he can smell my Dragon Fire cooking." Salamondra said as he was ready to use it.
"No! Don't use it until we know more about what we're dealing with!" Celestria said. "We don't know if what we're facing is an etheriouized villain or an embodimonster. Let's wait." The two of them were being careful, but not careful enough. The monster turned right to them like it knew it was there.
"How does that thing know we're already here?!" Salamondra said as this didn't look good. It jumped right at them and tried attacking them, but they both jumped out of the way just in time as its fist smashed right through the roof.
"Whatever this thing is, it's incredible strong." Celestria said.
"Let's see if it can take this!" Salamondra said as he extended his staff and swung it as hard as he could against the monster, but it just bounced right off him with the vibrations traveling through Salamondra. The beast tried attacking him, but Celestria returned the favor. Celestria used her whip and pulled him out of there as the beast crashed through a building and into the ground. "He really is made out of some tough stuff." The beast turned back to them, but then it picked up on the scent of something again and it was just further down the street. That thing it was looking for was actually a person. A person who was trying to hide from it, but it found it.
"Salamondra! Look!" Celestria said as they saw who it was hiding. It was none other than Lisanna herself. When Lisanna felt she was spotted, she tried making a run for it with the beast running after her. "That's Lisanna Strauss."
"That thing is after her?" Salamondra questioned.
"Come on!" Celestria said as they knew they had to save her. Lisanna was running as fast as she could with the beast about to catch her. However, the monster somehow knew the heroes were coming as it turned to them and tried to attack them. It swung its fist at them, but they both were able to avoid his attack.
"Celestria! Salamondra!" Lisanna called out to them.
"Hang on! We've got you!" Celestria said as she swung over and grabbed a hold of her with them landing down on a roof. "Don't worry. We'll take you to safety then deal with that thing."
"No! I want to help! That thing is really after me!" Lisanna said.
"Why would it be after you? Do you know something?" Celestria asked.
"Yeah. That thing is actually my older brother: Elfman!" Lisanna said.
"What?! You're brother?!" Celestria said as she was surprised to hear that.
"Uh... Can we talk about this later?!" Salamondra said as the monster was coming at them again, but the two heroes got out of there with Lisanna being taken with them.
"What happened to your brother?" Celestria questioned.
"I'll explain, but we need to get somewhere far from him. Somehow he keeps finding me." Lisanna said. They just took Lisanna's word for it and got moving as fast as they could. The beast seemed greatly angry as it unleashed a mighty roar. This beast is greatly angry.
...
The Heroes
"I think we lost him." Salamondra said as they found a safe place for them to lay low. They practically had to go all the way to the other side of Paris to get some distance.
"It won't take him long to find us. It's me he's after, and my brother has always been quite determined and persistent." Lisanna said.
"Lisanna, what is going on?" Celestria asked. "What happened to your brother that got him etheriouized, and that he's after you."
"It's... It's practically my fault." Lisanna shamefully admitted. "I've been fighting off a cold the past couple days and my brother has been taking care of me. He means well, but I got a little annoyed with him." She said as she was telling the heroes everything that happened.
...
Flashback
Since Lisanna was sick, she's been at home and trying to recover. While Mirajane was aiding Alzack with classes, Elfman was the one looking over her.
"Here comes your soup." Elfman said as he came walking in with some soup for Lisanna and placed it right on her lap. "I made it myself."
"Thanks, Elfman. That's sweet, but you didn't have to go through all that trouble." Lisanna said.
"Don't be silly. A real man takes care of his sister when she isn't feeling well." Elfman said.
"But I'm feeling much better." Lisanna said.
"Because I've been taking care of you." Elfman boasted. "Let me fluff that pillow for you while I'm here." He said as he grabbed Lisanna's pillow and started fluffing it. Lisanna loves that brother cares so much for her, but he's been a little overbearing for the past couple days.
"Elfman, don't you think you might be overdoing things." Lisanna said. "You check on me like every hour, fluff my pillow, give me medicine, and you even tried to feed me. You practically do everything for me because you think I'm too sick to handle things myself."
"Because you are sick." Elfman said.
"It's just a cold. It's not something so bad that I have to go to the hospital." Lisanna claimed.
"Hospital?! You need to go to the hospital?!" Elfman said as he was starting to panic.
"No! Nothing like that!" Lisanna said as she tried to assure him. She loves her brother, but he can be so annoying and overreacts a lot.
"Lisanna, you are my little sister. When it comes to my sisters, I'm like a beast." Elfman said. "I'm not going to let anything happen to you or Mirajane. By the way, how are you feeling emotionally? No pesky etherious has come in and try messing with your head."
"No... Nothing like that..." Lisanna said with annoyance.
"You and Mirajane were etheriouized before, but I wasn't. Probably because this guy knows I'm a real man. A real man won't get etheriouized." Elfman said.
"That doesn't even make any sense." Lisanna said. She couldn't take much more of this, but she didn't want to hurt Elfman's feelings. So, she just tried having the soup he made for her. However, she had one slurp of it and nearly burned her tongue. "That's burning hot!"
"Yeah. A real man soup. The hot will chase all those nasty germs away and you'll be better a lot faster." Elfman claimed as he felt like he did a great thing, but Lisanna was just annoyed. She didn't even try holding back her groan. "What's wrong now?"
"All of this! Elfman, you're completely overreacting!" Lisanna said. "I'm just about over my cold, but you keep babying me! You treat me like I'm a little girl who can't take care of herself! You mean well, but this is all getting ridiculous! Not to mention you keep saying "manly" when I'm a girl! Sometimes manly isn't a good thing for some people!"
"You... You don't like what I'm doing?" Elfman said as he started to feel bad. "I'm sorry, Lisanna." He looked over to her dresser and grabbed a framed photo that was of him with his two sisters. "It's just that a real man takes care of his family, but I can see I'm not really needed or wanted. I was just trying to be a good big brother. A good big brother pleases their sister, but you're clearly upset. I'll... I'll leave you alone." All Elfman wanted was to please and take care of Lisanna, but he's starting to think he did a lousy job of that.
"Elfman..." Lisanna said as she felt bad now for snapping at Elfman when he was only trying to help. "Elfman, hold on a minute." She got out of bed and went after him, but Elfman went into his room and locked the door to have him think about his actions. "Elfman, I didn't mean things like that. I just got annoyed. Elfman, please open the door." She tried to talk to him, but Elfman wasn't responding. He just wants to be a great brother, but what Lisanna says has him doubting his abilities need to be brother. It has him feel like he failed and wants to be even stronger to be a better brother.
...
Black Knight
"A brother who just wants to have the strength and ability needed to take care of his family... Well, I can give you even greater strength." Black Knight claimed as he could feel Elfman's sadness. He helped Elfman with a wish as he took an etherious into his hands and filled it with dark power. "Fly, my evil etherious. Give this brother what he wants!"
...
Lisanna
"Elfman, are you actually ignoring me now." Lisanna said. That was when she noticed the etherious as it slipped in through the door. "Elfman! Elfman, get out of there! I'm sorry!" Lisanna called as she tried to get him to open up. The etherious made it's way to Elfman and went into the framed photo in his hands with it connecting him to Black Knight.
"Beast, I'm Black Knight. I'm giving you great strength, strength of a beast. With it, you'll protect your sisters however you like. Nothing can ever harm them and you'll be able to get them whatever they like."
"I could?" Elfman said.
"Yes, but you will have to do something for me. All I want are Celestria's and Salamondra's miraculous." Black Knight said.
"Elfman, please. Don't listen to him." Lisanna said, but it was too late. Elfman agreed to it and he turned into Beast. Lisanna knew it wasn't safe for her anymore and she had to run out of there. Beast smashed right through the walls and unleashed a mighty roar. As soon as he noticed Lisanna was gone, the hunt was on.
End of Flashback
...
"That's what soon brought me here." Lisanna said as she finished explaining the situation.
"Lisanna, it's understandable why you got annoyed, but Elfman was just trying to be a good big brother. It's obvious he cares about you very much." Celestria said.
"I know. Just please save him." Lisanna said.
"Do you know where the object holding the etherious is?" Celestria asked.
"It's in a framed photo of me and my siblings. I did spot it in the pocket of his pants." Lisanna answered.
"Incoming!" Salamondra warned. All of them looked and saw Beast coming right at them from out of the sky. He was about to crash down on them, but they all got out of there with Celestria grabbing Lianna and he ended up crashing into the building. "How did he find us so fast? Don't tell me his brain got stronger."
"I do have to admit; for someone so big, he seems light on his feet." Celestria complained. Beast let out another mighty roar and turned to where Lisanna was. When he saw her, he went straight at both girls, but Salamondra extended his staff and tripped Beast up before he could reach them and caused him to crash into streets. Both heroes moved fast with Lisanna and tried to keep some distance.
"I don't think it matters how far you go. He'll keep coming after us." Lisanna said.
"He already is!" Salamondra said as he saw Beast get back up and was coming at them again. "Dragon Fire!" He smashed his hand and used his power to tear the road apart. When that happened, he fell through and was stuck. "That will hold him, but not for long. Now would probably be a great time for one of your plans, my little star." Salamondra said.
"He's incredibly strong and quick. He really is a beast." Celestria said as she tried to weigh their options.
"Celestria, please. You've got to try and do something." Lisanna said. "If you can't, I just might have to."
"No. It's too dangerous." Celestria said.
"He's my brother. I've got to try and do something to help him." Lisanna claimed. Celestria understood, but she can't have Lisanna risk herself. She needs to pull something out now.
"Open the Celestial Gate!" Celestria called on her powers and she ended up getting a bottle of perfume. "Virgo perfume?"
"I don't know if you need that. You always smell nice." Salamondra flirted, but Celestria just pushed him aside.
"Perfume..." Celestria mumbled as she tried to figure this one out. "Of course!" She said as it all came to her. "He's not incredible smart. He must have an incredible sense of smell. He's anticipating out movements by using scent to pickup our location and is interpreting our attacks. That's also how he keeps finding Lisanna and us."
"So the perfume is going to mask our scent? That doesn't seem like enough." Salamondra said.
"It's not. The perfume isn't for us, it's for him." Celestria claimed, but they still didn't get it. There wasn't much time to explain as they could hear Beast climbing out. "You'll get it soon. Salamondra, just keep him busy for now."
"That I can do, but I don't have much time left. You better move fast." Salamondra said as he extended his staff and jumped down. He dived down right on the road and was ready to rumble with Beast, but Beast didn't seem much interested.
"Remember our deal, Beast." Black Knight warned him. "If you want to keep your powers to protect your sister, you must bring me the miraculous." Beast understood since a real man keeps his word. That's why he attacked Salamondra while Salamondra jumped away.
"I won't be able to get close enough to use the perfume on him AND get the photo. Lisanna, do you really want to help your brother?" Celestria asked.
"Of course." Lisanna said.
"Good. I'm going to need a little help." Celestria said as she pulled out whip and used it to grab a teal hairclip with a series of feathers on it. "Lisanna Strauss, this is the miraculous of the harpy, which grants you power of the tempest. You will use it for the greater good."
"Really?!" Lisanna said as she almost couldn't believe it. "Thank you." She said as she took it. That was right when the kwami came from the miraculous and she met Breeze. "Wow! You're so cute!"
"So are you! I'm Breeze. What's your name?"
"It's Lisanna."
"Once the mission is over, you must return the miraculous." Celestria said. "Are you ready to return the favor for all the times your brother took care of you?" Lisanna was as she placed the hairclip on with it turning into a regular blue one with one feather one it.
"You just need to say "Breeze, Blow"." Breeze told her.
"Breeze, Blow!" Breeze was pulled into the miraculous and it activated. A teal mask appeared Lisanna's eyes. She was given a teal kimono with the skirt reaching her knees and the sleeves being extra wide with feather-like patterns. She was also given a pair of green heeled boots. Her weapon ended up being a tesse. A new hero was formed.
"Ladies! Any time now!" Salamondra called as he was short on time as he tried staying out of Beast's reach. Luckily, Celestria helped her out as she used her whip and pulled him back to the girls.
"Salamondra, allow me to introduce... Uh..." Celestria said, not sure what the new heroes name should be.
"Harpis. It sounds nicer than Harpy."
"I knew you would have a way." Salamondra said. There was no time for formal introductions as they heard Beast roar.
"Salamondra, get this right in Beast's nose!" Celestria said as she tossed the perfume bottle in the air. Salamondra used his staff like a bat and smashed it to send it flying towards Beast. The perfume ended up spilling all over Beast's nose. That caused his sense of smell to get messed up. The stench was hard for him to handle. "Without his sense of smell, he can't react to attacks he can't see. Harpis, get into position."
"I got it!" Harpis said as she moved further down the road. The other two heroes kept Beast's sight on them and not her. Without his sense of smell, he won't be able to tell he's being attacked by her. "Twister!" Harpis called on her power and threw her tesse fan. The fan was flying through the air and began circling around beast. It started to generate a wind that was growing stronger and stronger. A twister was forming right around beast and it was becoming so powerful that it lifted Beast right off the ground with him having no way of getting out. The wind was also able to blow the photo right out of his pants. "There it is!" Celestria stepped in with that as she jumped for the photo. She grabbed it and smashed it against the ground with the etherious flying out.
"No more evildoing for you, little etherious." Celestria activated her whip to purify it. "Time to de-evillize!" She threw the whip and was able to catch it. "Gotcha! Bye-Bye, little guy." She said once she freed it from purifying it. "Miraculous Starlight!" She tossed the perfume bottle into the air and the magic stars fixed all the buildings and everything else Beast smashed. As for Beast himself, he was placed back on the ground and turned back into Elfman.
"What? Where am I?" Elfman questioned.
"Pound it!" All three heroes celebrated.
"Well, I need to get going. Might I say Harpis that you really BLOW me away." Salamondra said before he took off so he could change back.
"What happened? Where's Lisanna?" Elfman said as he was starting to get nervous.
"It's okay." Harpis said as she assured Elfman. "She's safe." She was glad she was able to help her brother this time with Celestria glad she was able to help these siblings.
...
Black Knight
"Never send a beast to do a man's job." Black Knight complained as he figured raw power wouldn't have been enough, but he has plenty of other villains. "No beast or man will be able to protect you from me, Celestria. You'll meet your end one of these days."
...
The Strauss House
After getting the miraculous back from Lisanna and the threat now over, Lucy was able to continue on with what she originally did. She got all the schoolwork for Lisanna right to her.
"Thanks for bringing me this, Lucy." Lisanna said. "I hope you didn't run into any trouble on your way over here."
"Well, there actually was this large beast out on the streets." Lucy claimed.
"Yeah... I'm sorry about that. That was actually my brother." Lisanna claimed.
"What?! That was your brother?!" Lucy acted like she didn't really know. As the two of them were talking, Lisanna took a look towards her door and saw Elfman checking on her, but it seemed like he felt a little ashamed about how he acted. Not wanting to bother her again, he just tried to leave them alone.
"Elfman, wait." Lisanna said. "It's okay. You can come inside."
"Uh... That's okay. I just wanted to make sure you were okay, but it looks like you are." Elfman said.
"Well, I actually could use something to drink. Maybe Lucy could too. Do you think you could get us a couple drinks?" Lisanna asked. "After all, I do love having a brother that does care so much for me and Mira. It is one of the things I love about you, Elfman" She claimed with Elfman happy to hear that.
"Sure. You want water or juice?" Elfman asked.
"Some juice sounds nice. Maybe tomorrow, we could go out to eat or something with Mirajne" Lisanna answered with Elfman heeding her request.
"You are lucky to have a brother that cares about you so much." Lucy said.
"It might get a little annoying, and he goes a little overboard, but Elfman's a great brother. I don't think I would have it any other way." Lisanna claimed as she loves her brother. Only now that her sister is a part-time hero, she'll be able to return the favor.
