Blooming Friendship and Relationship

It was near the end of September. There were a few events that transpired in a matter of days. The first was when Jean's powers underwent an astronomical surge. The first sign of it happened during the MVP awards ceremony when the redhead began to hear voices from everyone in the assembly.

Jean blew it off as if it were nothing, but unfortunately for her, it began to take its toll on her as the surges became more unstable and powerful by the day. It was then after the third day when it hit its limit. Downstairs of the Institute, in the lab, Xavier tried to help her, but it backfired. Pretty soon, the redhead was in the center as a vortex of debris, and various were reshaped and twisted violently through her telekinesis. If it wasn't for Rogue volunteering to use her own powers to stabilize and bring Jean to her senses, no one would know what would happen. However, she wasn't alone as the mutant goth remembered.

Flashback

As the other X-Men were clearing a pathway for Rogue and Danny, the ghost boy asks.

"Ready?"

"As ready as Ah'll evah beh." Rogue replies.

Danny picks up Rogue, bridal style, causing the goth girl to blush from the position she is in, despite that they were focused on helping their teammate. Soon, Danny turns himself and Rogue intangible, ready to get to Jean.

"How do you feel?" Danny asks in concern.

"A bit weird, but Ah'll beh fahne." Rogue said.

Then, thanks to the advantage, Danny and Rogue were able to make it pass the spiraling debris as if nothing was there. Despite that several objects passed through them harmlessly, Rogue was still a bit startled that they might get injured, but she was assured by Danny that they'll be okay. Once they got 3 feet away, Rogue tells Danny,

"This is where Ah get off."

Upon nodding, Danny negates his intangibility as they were in the center of the vortex. With a single toss, Rogue was flung towards Jean as she quickly took off her glove.

"Rogue! Do it now!" Professor Xavier commands.

Hanging on to a wire, Rogue touched Jean on her forehead. The goth girl cried out as her powers activated. The wire broke as Rogue was flung around in the vortex before she was launched. Luckily for her, Danny swooped in and caught her before she made even the slightest contact to the ground.

When Scott tried to reach out to Jean, the redhead's voice was heard through Rogue, begging him to help her. After some coaxing and encouragement, Jean was able to regain control of her powers as the vortex finally ceased. In addition to that, Rogue also blacked out as well. Dannny held on to Rogue as she collapsed before Jean began to awaken.

"Go! I'll stay with Rogue." Danny said to him.

Scott nodded before he ran to Jean, concerned about her well-being after the entire ordeal her body endured, while Danny looked after Rogue. The goth girl began to groan as she slowly woke up, to see Danny still holding as he had a worried look on his face.

"Rogue? Are you okay?" he asks in concern.

The goth was completely touched by Danny's genuine concern as she blushed once more when discovering that he was holding her. Also, Rogue admitted to Danny in secret that despite their differences, Rogue would help Jean as she knew that the redhead would do the same. However, she'll never forget these words from him

"I would risk my life for you, too. I can't imagine living without knowing you."

End of Flashback

If that wasn't enough, one of the new recruits named Tabitha Smith (Boom Boom) left the Institute. She felt out of place, due to all of the trouble she's been getting into. The final straw was when she and her own father were arrested for robbery, the blonde girl felt so terrible that she informed Professor Xavier that she would leave.

When she did, Tabitha went to the only place that was available as well as nearby: the Brotherhood boarding house, as Pietro, Lance, Fred, and Todd remember.

Second Flashback

Todd turned on the water faucet in the kitchen. However, only a few drops were able to seep out.

"Hey! What happened to the water, yo?!"

Lance replied as he entered the kitchen.

"The city just shut it off." he grabs the water bottle from the fridge. "Makes me thirsty just thinking about it."

Soon, there was a knock on the door as Lance went to the living room to see who it was at that time of the evening. Upon opening it, he sees Tabitha there with her rucksack, much to his surprise. In an instant, Tabitha sees the water bottle and thinks she is being offered.

"Ooh! Dying of thirst."

She entered the house while taking the bottle from Lance to drink from it. As she made her way to the stairs, Todd, Pietro, and Fred noticed as they heard her say

"I need a place to crash."

Tabitha asks Fred, who had a blank expression.

"Room's upstairs?"

When Fred nods, Tabitha strolls up the stairs as Pietro whispers

"Go stop her."

"You go stop her." Feed counters.

"Yeah! Don't she know; no chicks allowed in the Brotherhood house!" Todd said as he too watched Tabitha.

Then, they hear Tabitha's voice again.

"Hey! This one's locked."

The boys got worried as Fred said in fear

"Oh no..."

An explosion sound occurred as they covered their ears. Todd was the first to rush to get upstairs while the other boys followed him. They saw the lavish room while Tabitha looked around inside. What they knew was that this particular room belonged to Raven Darkholme or Mystique.

"Not bad..." Tabitha comments with impression. "I guess this will do."

As the Brotherhood boys stood there dumbfounded, Tabitha walked up to them as she said before slamming the door shut

"So, stay out of my room."

End of Flashback

School started as always for every student who attended Bayville High. For everyone else, it was the same old, same old...except for Danny.

Ever since his first tussle with the Brotherhood boys and the fact that they know he is half-ghost, they would send him dirty looks whenever they see him. However, they haven't spilled the beans to anyone on his secret, which was good news for him; and he had a feeling that they won't do so anytime soon. Nevertheless, Danny had to be on guard with them around, knowing they would start trouble for him whenever the opportunity arose.

In an area of the hallway, Jazz was departing from her locker to get to class. However, a familiar individual instantly saw her before secretly zipping towards her to block her pathway.

"Hey, cutie."

Jazz rolled her eyes before she said in annoyance.

"For the last time, my name is Jazz!" she glares at him. "And what do you want, Pietro?"

"What? A guy can't visit a cute girl?" the mutant speedster asked with a flirtatious look.

Nearby, the rest of the Brotherhood boys were once again snickering at their friend's flirting failure. In another area, Tabitha was snickering, too.

"So, have you changed your mind, yet?"

"Sorry, but I don't date creeps." Jazz said unamused before glaring harder at him. "Especially creeps who threaten my family."

Pietro's flirtatious look dropped in an instant, as did the Brotherhood boys when they heard that. Before the speedster knew it, Jazz got in his face before she said in a threatening tone.

"Listen to me, well. I know you know my little brother's secret, so if you cause trouble for him, you're gonna deal with me. Just because I'm human, I'll still kick you in the one spot where all guys feel it the most, got it?!"

Pietro was horror-stricken as it only took a minute for the other boys to realize what the human redhead meant as they groaned while putting their hands in front of their sensitive areas protectively.

As soon as Jazz was out of sight, Pietro relaxed. It didn't take long for him to smirk. Never before has a girl reject him due to every other girl falling head over heels to his charm. However, since her arrival to Bayville High, Jasmine Fenton has become a challenge to Quicksilver; a challenge he relished.

"She's hard to get, but cutie will wear down, eventually."

Another thought crossed his mind when Jazz threatened him, the speedster once again had a flirty look as he thought.

"She sure is hot when she's mad!"

Meanwhile, in another area of the campus halls, Star was in haste getting to her class. However, in her rush, she accidentally runs into another individual who was closing her own locker before going to class as well. As their respective belongings fell onto the floor, the blonde hears a feminine voice that was completely new to her.

"Like, could I be any more of a klutz?"

Looking up, Star sees a brunette girl who was unfamiliar to her, as did the individual.

"Sorry." the blonde apologizes.

"No. That was totally my fault."

As the two girls picked up their own belongings, as well as helping out one another, the brunette looked at her and said.

"Hey, I know you. You're, like, in chemistry with Mr. McCoy, right?"

"Yes." Star replied before she said while holding out her hand. "I'm Star."

"I'm, like, Kitty Pryde. Nice to meet you." Kitty replies while shaking Star's hand.

It was then that Kitty asked

"You're, like, from Amity Park, right?"

"How did you know?" Star asked in surprise.

"Cause I have a few friends from there as well." Kitty replies as if it was no big deal.

Star was caught off-guard. The blonde didn't anticipate that this girl, who is her classmate, would have friends who were from the same city as she was.

Then, the warning bell started to ring, much to the girls' worry, as Kitty said

"I, like, better get to class. I'll see you in chemistry class soon!"

Star was just stunned for a minute before she realized that she needed to get to her own class and fast. As she ran, the blonde girl thought to herself.

"Who are you, Kitty?"

Meanwhile, Jack and Maddie were in the FFAV pursuing the Box Ghost who was screaming in terror, trying to evade his pursuers. Apparently, the Fenton couple were going to do grocery shopping when they spotted the annoying specter causing trouble. When they fired a shot at him, the Box Ghost recognized the Fentons before he decided to book it, with them in hot pursuit.

The Box Ghost turned around as he flew backward before bellowing

"YOU'LL NEVER RESTRAIN THE BOX GHOST IN THE CONFINES OF...!"

However, he didn't finish his monologue as Maddie blasts him with the Fenton Bazooka.

"OW! THE...PAIN...!"

Jack stopped the vehicle before he activates the Fenton Thermos and sucked in the ghost as it bellowed once more.

"THE BOX GHOST WILL HAVE HIS REVENGE YEEEEEET!"

Once the cap was sealed, Maddie wiped her forehead with her arm and asks.

"How does Danny tolerate this ghost?"

"I don't know, honey." Jack replies. "But thankfully no one was hurt, nothing was damaged."

Maddie looks back to see that her husband was correct. None of their equipment was damaged. However, before Jack could maneuver the vehicle to get to a convenient store nearby, several people ran towards them as one of them said

"Excuse me! Do you two have a minute?"

Jack and Maddie glance at one another before they step out of the FFAV. When they did, they were instantly bombarded with questions and positive comments from the crowd.

"That was awesome!"

"Are you partners with that ghost kid?"

"Where did you get all that cool tech?"

"Nice job catching that ghost!"

"Could we get an autograph?"

The Fentons saw that they were going to be a bit late, judging by this crowd, respecting their efforts. However, no one realized someone was watching ominously and invisibly.

On one of the rooftops of a nearby building, Vlad Plasmius was watching with a sinister grin on his face.

"So, my fat old friend, you and Maddie managed to gain respect from people here in this city. Well, enjoy it while it lasts, because Maddie will soon be mine." he whispers to himself.

Despite that Vlad had a sinister intent, he was jealous deep down; jealous of Jack gaining actual respect as a ghost hunter here in Bayville than he did in Amity Park. In addition to that, Maddie was right beside him as she too gained respect as well. Vlad silently flew away while more and more people continued to bombard the Fentons with compliments, questions, and autograph requests.

Back at Bayville High, it was lunchtime. In the cafeteria, Danny was with Sam and Tucker at the table where most of the X-Men were located. However, Jean was absent due to being at a table where Duncan and his friends were located. Rogue was still in line to get her lunch as Risty was right behind her.

Earlier, she had quite a bickering with Paulina in the hallways as the mutant goth girl remembered.

Flashback

Rogue was leaving her locker to the cafeteria as she passed Paulina's locker. However, in one glance, she accidentally took a look at the interior to see a shrine inside; one that was dedicated to Danny Phantom. It even had the words on a piece of paper "Paulina and Danny Phantom." Rogue looked a bit sick as she saw the Latina girl place pictures of Danny in his X-Men uniform that she somehow managed to obtain.

"Now that is very disturbing." she said.

Paulina heard Rogue's words as she slammed her locker shut.

"What did you say?!" she demands.

"Ya heard meh. Ah said that your shrahne is very disturbing!" Rogue said in response.

Paulina glared at Rogue before she said.

"What do you know about my ghost boy?!"

Rogue was close to losing her lunch as she realized that Danny was right in Paulina's obsession with his ghost half in more ways than one.

"Your ghost boy? Last Ah saw, heh had no ring on his finger and Ah heard nothin' from him about having a girlfriend." Rogue counters with an annoyed look.

Paulina turned her back as she held her books close to her chest with a lovestruck smile and said.

"He's so mine! I'm so destined to be married to him."

Rogue rolled her eyes before she said

"Oh please! Having an imaginary relationship doesn't count to having a real one."

What Rogue recently said struck a nerve in Paulina and hard.

"What the heck is that supposed to mean?!" Paulina demands with a glare.

"Ah mean that you're not really in a relationship with him. Save yourself the embarrassment and get out of that imaginary relationship of yours." Rogue replied in annoyance.

As Rogue walked away, Paulina shouts at her.

"It's not imaginary!"

"Whatevah, bimbo."

Paulina growled in anger as she stood there, glaring at Rogue.

End of Flashback

As Rogue was sitting down, barely touching her food, Risty spoke up, finally getting her attention.

"Earth to Rogue!"

"Huh? Wha?"

Risty lets out an exasperated sigh before she said.

"Rogue, you've been acting strange lately."

"It's nothin'. Don't worry about it." Rogue said.

However, Rogue didn't realize that Risty caught her stealing a glance at Danny before she smirked and said.

"He is a fine fellow, isn't he?"

Rogue was confused as she asked.

"Who are ya talkin' about?"

"I'm referring to Danny over there." she gestures with her head. "He is quite cute."

"Risty, don't go there." Rogue warns. "Besahdes, heh probably sees meh as a friend anyway."

"Come now, luv. Isn't it obvious that he may be into you in time?" Risty asks. "After all, I have noticed that you enjoy his company."

"Stop rahght there!" Rogue warns once more.

Meanwhile, at a different table, Star was in her own thoughts. After her first encounter with Kitty at the beginning of the school day, she felt that it was a start for her to make a new friend, in the blonde's opinion. Soon, Valerie joins her, especially since they were well away from the table of the A-Listers, and the presence of other students concealed their location.

"Hey girl." Valerie greets as she takes a seat.

"Hey." Star greets back.

"So, what's new with you?"

"Same old, same old." Star replies. "Except that I may have made a new friend from my chemistry class."

Valerie rose an eyebrow as she asked.

"Really?"

"Yeah." Star replied. "She goes by the name of Kitty Pryde."

It took Valerie a minute before she said

"Wait. Is she a brunette with that valley girl kind of talk?"

"How did you know?" Star asks in curiosity.

"I have her in my math class." Valerie replies. "I will admit that she seems pretty nice."

"Well, since I plan on inviting her to go shopping over the weekend, you should come too." Star offers.

"Well, I do have the weekend off from working at the Gut Bomb," Valerie comments while glancing upward. "So yeah, I'll come along."

Star smiled when Valerie accepted the offer.

Lunch time was nearing its end as Danny was in the hallway, going to his locker. However, he begins to hear commotion at a distance. Before he knew it, Danny saw Duncan and his friends bullying a different student; one whom he recognized as Nathan the boy whined

"Valerie?! Please come rescue me! Why won't you say yes?!"

All the while, Danny thought to himself in annoyance.

"Geez! Seems like the more things change, the more they stay the same!"

When the locker door was opened, Danny approached the group as he said.

"Hey! Don't you pea-brained jerks have something better to do other than being knuckleheads?"

The jocks stopped what they were doing as they all faced Danny menacingly while dropping Nathan, giving the nerd the opportunity to flee. The ghost boy realized his mistake as he thought

"Real smooth, Fenton!"

A dark-skinned jock, who was a foot taller than Danny walked up to him as he said.

"You've got quite a mouth on you, kid!"

"At least I have better character."

It was then that Duncan stepped forward and told his buddy

"Hold it!"

He takes a minute to look at Danny really hard before he said.

"I know you; you're one of the new geeks who hang out with Jean!"

"Yeah..." Danny said, completely unimpressed. "But personally, I don't know what she sees in you anyway."

Duncan scoffed before he said

"Oh, please. It ain't my fault that Jean's a clueless bimbo!" Duncan had a leering look. "Besides, there's only one reason I'd go out with a babe like her."

Danny knew Duncan's subtle reason. In fact, he has heard talk of how guys like him would go out with someone like his friend, Jean Grey, or anyone similar. Once they have gotten what they truly desire, they just dump the girl without a second thought. The ghost boy felt the anger rising in him as demanded.

"And what reason do you believe that I won't tell her the truth about you?!"

Duncan scoffed once more before he responded in a superior tone.

"Yeah, right! Who do you think she'll believe; me or you?"

In an instant, someone very familiar caught Danny's sight as he took a slight glance at someone approaching before he smirked.

"Well then, why don't we ask Jean and see who she'll truly believe?"

Duncan saw the smirk and had a bad feeling in his gut, especially since Danny was suddenly calm. The jock backed down before he said.

"Come.on, guys. We got better things to do than this."

Jean walked past the jocks while giving Duncan a few pleasantries, as Danny saw it. However, right when the mutant redhead was about to greet Danny, she saw the dirty look on his face directed at Duncan's back.

"Danny? Is something wrong?" she asks.

It was then that Danny asked her a question of his own

"Jean, how do you tolerate spending time with that jerk?"

Jean took an offense as she said.

"I beg your pardon."

"You know, for a telepath, you're completely oblivious to Duncan's true colors." Danny said, being subtly blunt.

"What is that supposed to mean?!" Jean demands.

Danny couldn't delay the inevitable any longer as he said to her.

"Look, Duncan is not what you think he is. Can't you realize that he's just using you?! If you want to know the truth, look into my memories of my recent encounter with him."

However, Danny adds one little detail.

"Be warned, what you're about to see will not be pretty."

Jean thought it over. At first, she wanted to believe Danny, but given the current circumstances, she wanted to call him out on his accusations. And so, Jean did a surface scan of Danny's mind. What she saw next, it made her freeze in shock; Jean discovered that Danny was telling her the truth. The ghost boy noticed her eyes beginning to shed tears.

"Jean...?"

Instead of saying something in response, Jean ran away, much to Danny's guilt as he thought to himself in anger.

"Nice move, Fenton!"

School ended for the day. All of the students were getting to their respective lockers. With Danny, he was closing his locker door and was about to head for the exit when he heard a southern feminine voice calling to him.

"Danny!"

The ghost boy turns around to see Rogue running to catch up to him.

"Hey."

"Hey, yaself." she greets.

As the two began walking in the same direction, Danny and Rogue were unaware that a pair of lavender eyes were staring at them; eyes that belonged to a certain "human" goth girl before she growled in rage and then punched a locker, leaving a dent. As she walked away, one could imagine the steam emitting from the top of her head.

"So," Danny hesitantly begins. "Any plans for the weekend?"

"Ah don't know." Rogue replied. "Ah mean, no one has evah asked meh."

Danny was a little nervous, something that Rogue instantly noticed.

"Is somethin' wrong?"

"Well, I was thinking..." he looks behind him and his left and right. "assuming that the ghosts don't decide to ruin things..."

As Danny scratched the back of his head, completely nervous, Rogue let out a silent gasp as she thought.

"Is he gonna...?"

However, Danny and Rogue hear a familiar voice shouting at a distance

"I said we're through!"

The two teens glance at one another before they run to see the source; it was Jean glaring at a stunned Duncan, and they were both surrounded by a group of students. By the looks of it, the redhead was very angry as she was telling him off. They also noticed Scott, smirking at Duncan's expense. It was then that Jean took deep breaths before walking towards Scott. However, she noticed Danny as she said to him through her telepathy.

"I may not have liked what I saw, but I'm thankful you told me the truth."

As Jean took Scott with her, Rogue had a smirk as she said.

"Well, it's about tahme she dumped that jerk."

"Yeah. She is way better off without him." Danny comments.

It was then that Duncan glared at Danny as the ghost boy instantly saw it. The jock whispered only one word as Danny read his lips despite being at a far distance.

"Dead meat!"

Danny rolled his eyes as he thought to himself.

"Oh great! I've just been marked for either revenge or death."

Now, Danny had to deal with not one but two jocks. He knew that sooner or later, Duncan would come for him when the opportunity arises. For now, he had to push that aside since he still had Dash to watch out for as well.

Meanwhile, with Kitty, she was aboutnto head for the exit of the campus before she heard a familiar voice calling out to her.

"Hey, Kitty! Wait up!"

Turning around, she sees Star running up to her before she slows to a stop.

"Hey, Star." Kitty greets. "Like, what's going on?"

Star took a second to catch her breath before she asked.

"Since the weekend is coming up, want to hang out at the mall if you're not too busy?"

Kitty was surprised as she said.

"Sure. I just need to, like, get my homework finished in time. Plus, I can totally give you a tour over there."

Star smiled at Kitty's response. In her perspective, it was the start of a new friendship with someone who was truly genuine.

A few hours have passed. After the X-Men completed their training session, each one of them secluded themselves to their respective rooms. In one particular room, a certain team leader was staring at the ceiling.

Scott was silent the entire time. Ever since Jean recently broke up with Duncan, she unloaded everything she had discovered about him; how he was using and ridiculing her. That was after Jean did a surface scan of the jock's mind before the breakup, and what she saw was worse than what she saw through Danny's memories of his most recent encounter.

Scott's hatred for Duncan reached a new level. He may have tolerated him but didn't like him because he knew what the blonde's true nature was. Now, Jean is suffering from it.

Without a word, Scott got off his bed and left the room. He walked into the hallway before he saw Jean's roommate.

"Jazz, how is she?" he asks in concern.

"Not too good." Jazz replied. "After her recent blowout with that jerk, she's hurting pretty bad."

Scott sighed at Jazz's response.

"There's got to be something I can do to help her." Scott whispers.

Jazz heard him as she smiled before reaching into her pocket.

"You're in luck, Scott."

As Scott looked at Jazz, he saw her pull out two tickets

"I got two tickets to the Essenger concert with Cryoshell being the guest band."

"Where did you get those?" Scott asked in curiosity.

"I won them in a radio contest."

Jazz hands the tickets to Scott as she said.

"Perhaps these will help you two out."

"Thanks, Jazz." Scott said in gratitude.

"Don't thank just me." Jazz said. "It was Danny's idea." she sees Scott's confused look. "I was going to give those to him so he could go with Rogue or Sam, whoever he chooses, but given the current situation, he felt that you could use these more than him."

Scott nodded in understanding as he made a mental note to thank Danny later. However, Jazz spoke once more

"Word of advice: take her out as a means of a distraction and cheer her up. You don't want to portray yourself as a rebound guy."

Scott smiled as he said.

"Duly noted and appreciated. Again, thanks, Jazz."

"No prob."

Scott walked off to Jazz and Jean's room. He noticed the door a crack open and heard sobbing as well. Once he entered, Scott saw Jean drying her eyes that were still red from all the crying she did as she sat up on her bed.

"Hey. How are you doing?" Scott gently asked.

"Like a total idiot." Jean sadly said as she wiped away more tears. "I can't believe I didn't that he was using me the entire time."

Scott sat next to her as he assured to her.

"Hey, it'll be okay. Duncan's not worth beating yourself over what he did the entire time."

As soon as Scott placed his arm around Jean, the redhead leaned on him without any hesitation. For the first time, she smiled, knowing that Scott would always be there for her. The redhead also realized that Scott was the comforting type and always will be, unlike Duncan.

It was then that Scott spoke up.

"I think I know what will cheer you up."

Jean looks at Scott in curiosity as he pulls out two tickets to a concert.

"Where did you get those?" she asks.

"A few friends of ours did me a favor." Scott replied with a shrug. "What do you we go together? This way, you'll be able to enjoy yourself and forget about what happened with Duncan."

Jean was touched by Scott's offer. Originally, she did have plans with Duncan for the weekend, but now that she broke up with him, her weekend was entirely free. Besides, it was a lot better than brooding in solitude.

"I'd like that." Jean said with a smile.

For Scott, it was a first step for him. Sure, he and Jean were friends since they were children, but now it would evolve into something more. However, he was going to take it slow to ensure that things go in the right direction.

The next day, it was still time for the morning before school started.

In an area, Danny was on his way to his locker. However, he nearly trips on someone's foot that was intentionally stuck out in front of him. Turning around, he was going to apologize to the person until he saw the last person he wanted to see.

"You're dogmeat, kid." Duncan grimaced.

As two of Duncan's friends got behind Danny and restrained by his arms, the blonde jock himself rolled up his sleeves until they all heard a new voice.

"Hey! Hands off Fen-toenail! I got unfinished business with him!"

Duncan turns around to see Dash behind as he says

"Take a number! I'm busy!"

Dash pushed him while saying.

"You take a number, stupid-head!"

"What did you call me, loser?!" Duncan angrily demands.

"Loser?!" Dash shouts. "Why I oughta...!"

The two jocks begin fighting one another as they wrestled to the ground. In an instant, a crowd of students gathered while chanting "fight" as they watched the brawl. However, no one noticed that Danny took this as an opportunity to escape. While Duncan's buddies were distracted, he turned his arms intangible to slip out of their grip unnoticed. After backing away to a safe distance, Danny books it while the jocks continue fighting.

Then, Duncan and Dash stop fighting as the older jock said

"Hold on! This is getting us nowhere!"

"Yeah! Why are we wailing on each other we can just wail on Fenton?" Dash asks in a subtle agreement.

"You know, you're right." Duncan said as he got up.

As the jocks decided to focus their ire on Danny, Dash said with malice.

"Alright, Fentonowski! Prepare to...!"

They see that Danny was gone as Duncan's friends finally notice as one of them asked

"How did he do that?!"

"He's gone!" Dash shouts.

"You let him go, you loser!" Duncan shouts while pushing Dash.

"Me?! You're the one who got in my way, you stupid genius!" Dash retorted with a puch to Duncan's face.

"Why you...!"

The two resumed fighting as Dash and Duncan tackled one another. Suddenly, the jocks didn't realize that the other students ran away before an adult voice booming!

"What's going here?!"

They stop fighting, seeing one of the teachers, or rather, the coach.

"Wait! Uh...?" Duncan paused

"We can explain!" Dash said.

"You're coming with me to the principal's office right now."

In the office, the two jocks were waiting for Principal Kelly as Duncan glared at Dash.

"This is all your fault!"

"Hey! If you want to blame someone, blame Fenton!" Dash countered. "He's the one who started it!"

Duncan mulled it over for a moment before he said.

"You know, for once, you get no argument from me."

"I'll wail on him, one day..." Dash says.

"And I'll wail on him the next day." Duncan said in agreement.

Suddenly, Principal Kelly arrived as he saw the two jocks who were waiting for him before glating at them.

"You two have some explaining to do." he says.

The two jocks gulped in fear as they knew that now they were in trouble.

Meanwhile, Danny makes it to his locker as he grabs his textbooks needed for his first period class.

"Man, talk about a close call." he whispers to himself. "Now I got two jocks on my back."

Danny sighs before he comments to himself.

"Just another day at school, I guess."

Danny closes his locker door before making a run for it to get to class.
