In spite of recent events, Hinata slept better that night than she had in a very long time. Perhaps it was because she had happily reassured Naruto that she had always admired him, and he knew it now. He would always know. Perhaps it was because Naruto laid beside her that night by a campfire that only they shared. Or perhaps, it was because of the dream she had.

Hinata dreamed of her and Naruto sitting by the fire again, just as they had before. The moon still shined above, and the fire still crackled while glowing on their faces. Only now, Naruto had his arm around her, and she had nuzzled her head into his neck. They stayed like this for what seemed like an eternity. No, seriously, it was one of those dreams that seemed to never end. She couldn't even tell she was dreaming, even after Naruto switched up the mood.

He looked down at her and kissed the top of her head. It was innocent and sweet. But Hinata wanted more. She looked up at him and willed herself to not look away from his cerulean eyes. There was something different in them that she couldn't quite describe. She could only identify it as desire.

Naruto used his hand to tilt her chin closer to his. He leaned in and said, barely above a whisper, "Is this what you want, Hinata?"

She wasted no time in answering him. "Yes, Naruto. I want this. I want you. I want... all of you." Her cheeks were on fire but she didn't dare look away. She didn't stutter or break eye contact with him. It was his move now. "Then you will have me. All of me. Forever." Naruto leaned in further, and then, just before their lips met...

She woke up. Of course, right at the perfect moment. She had dreamed of Naruto before, in all different ways. There were times where she would wake up with a pounding heart and a soaking pair of underwear. Other times she would simply dream about talking to him. However, this one particular dream was different because it felt so real. Unfortunately, a loud crack from the campfire had woken her up.

She sat up, blinked a couple times, and looked around. It was still pretty dark, maybe only an hour or so before sunrise. She looked over at Naruto, still fast asleep.

He looked rough. His hair was messy and dirty. The jacket he normally wore had been torn to shreds, and what he was still wearing wasn't in much better condition. She looked at his chiseled chest through his tattered mesh shirt. Even after all the war efforts had taken its toll on him, he still looked perfect to her. She knew she was staring, but she didn't stop herself. Naruto was still asleep after all. What he didn't know wouldn't hurt.

She laid back down and hoped she would somehow fall back into her dream, although she knew it was unlikely. Before dozing off again, she scooted closer to Naruto and leaned her head against his shoulder. This was as close as she could get to her dream for now. She closed her eyes and let sleep take over.

Naruto's eyes opened as the sun barely crept over the horizon. It was very early morning, still barely dark. He noticed Hinata's head had been leaning against him, and he sat up slowly as to not wake her. He looked over at the fire and saw that it had been reduced to embers and ashes. He looked back down at Hinata as she continued sleeping peacefully. He wished he could stay up here forever with her, but he knew that just wasn't an option. The other Shinobi would be awake soon, and they'd ask questions if Naruto and Hinata were caught walking back together. He didn't really care what they thought, but he decided it would be best if they were back before then.

"Hinata, it's time to wake up." He whispered softly in her ear. Her twitched as she woke up for the second time. She sat up and looked over to him.

"Oh, I didn't realize we had fallen asleep." She lied.

"Yeah, you fell asleep first. Ya know, if I was that boring, you could've just said so." He teased.

"Naruto, last night was anything but boring. I can't wait for us to go camping again back at home." She said while smiling at him. "We should stay up late more often." She blushed as she said this. That statement could be taken more than one way. Honestly, she would have meant it in whatever way he chose.

"Definitely. But for now we should probably get heading back before everyone else wakes up. It's our free day and our friends will probably be wondering where we are." He offered her his hand to help her up. She took it, and they were on their feet.

Hinata sighed. "I guess."

Naruto laughed as they both began walking back to the giant tree. "You don't sound too thrilled about that."

Hinata looked away as she said, "Honestly... I'd rather spend my free day with you. This was fun." Hinata praised herself for her boldness, and for not having stuttered once since she woke up.

It was Naruto's turn to blush. "R-Really? You'd spend your whole free day with me?"

'I would spend an eternity with you,' Hinata thought.

"I mean, only if you wanted to..."

"Of course I would, Hinata." He said smiling at her.

They both fell into silence as they continued walking towards the campsite. They both secretly wanted to turn back around and walk back up to the hill, but they both knew that wasn't an option. They approached the campsite unseen as everyone was still asleep. They turned to each other as they came to a stop.

Hinata spoke first. "Um, I guess I'll see you again sometime today? If not, I understand. We'll probably both be busy.

"Uh, yeah but, we can still have our own free day once we're home if you want! I mean, you did promise me another camping trip."

"Oh, did I now? Strange, I can't seem to remember the 'promise' part..." She said with her eyebrow raised, a smile creeping on her face.

"You sound like you've changed your mind" Naruto said, knowing it wasn't true.

"No!" She exclaimed. "We're going camping again, whether you want to or not." She teased.

Naruto laughed loudly. He liked this side of Hinata. She was shy, yes, but she could also be fun and playful. "Promise me?"

She looked at him with confidence in her eyes. "We're going camping again, Naruto. I promise."

"Good, I'll hold you to that!"

Hinata giggled and smiled at him while meeting his gaze again. He stared back, mesmerized by her powerful but gentle eyes. They were truly beautiful, as was the rest of her.

Naruto forced himself to look away and walk back into his tent. When he was sure she had walked away, he let out a breath he had been subconsciously holding in. He looked over and saw Sasuke still sleeping as he quietly climbed back into his own bed. He knew he couldn't fall back asleep, but he didn't know what else to do while waiting for the day to start. He laid there quietly, thinking about Hinata and the night they had secretly shared together. He truly couldn't wait until they got home, for he was hopeful that there would be more nights like this to come.

As Hinata quietly snuck back into her tent, she sat down on her bed and immediately began replaying the night in her head. Naruto tackling her, offering to stay up late with her, confessing her admiration to him again, camping with him, sleeping next to him... everything that had happened was on rewind in her mind. Her heart was nearly beating out of her chest, and she had to tell herself to calm down. After all, this wasn't the end. She had promised him another camping date. Well, she didn't call it a date, but she could still imagine. Hinata laid back down for the third time and thought about Naruto, hoping he was thinking about her too.

Little did she know, Naruto was thinking about her. He was never good at reading peoples' feelings, especially from girls, but as he laid there, he tried to understand exactly what Hinata's intentions were. Did she have feelings for him? Could she really be the one that loved him for so long? He couldn't say for sure that he had feelings for her either, but he was really starting to think that he did. He still needed to come to terms with himself and learn what it really meant to love someone.

He could tell he liked her, but just how much?

As far as Hinata's feelings went, he knew only time would tell for sure, but he was eager to find out. Naruto secretly hoped he would come to learn that Hinata was in fact the "secret admirer" Sasuke had mentioned.

If only he could see her dreams...
