Barked

Chapter 16: An Unexpected Hero

Previously

The ghost boy tried to make a duplicate of himself as fast as he could to send in to save the baby and the female poodle.

"Don't worry, Mrs. Bev-..." He tried to fly to Pierre to save him but their surroundings were a bit more unstable than he thought.

The half ghost duplicate flew as quickly as he could while trying not to cause any more damage to the surrounding area. However, moving around the debris took a split second too long.

Sadly, Danny is too late as the rubble fell, deeply shocking everyone silent until one person screamed out their thoughts.

"NOOOO!..." Stella cried out as everything came crashing down.

Present Time

No one could tell what had happened through all the dust smoke and debris in the way.

Not to mention that the Guys-in-White did nothing to make the situation any better. While everyone else was trying to kept themselves safe from harm few some looking out for others, they were running off, denying any involvement.

A loud stone crumbling sound similar to an avalanche could be, causing everyone's blood to run cold.

Stella's thoughts of her son being buried under it was all she thought before the last time she saw him. Her son looked happy and oblivious, before she was unable to see him further.

"Pierre?!..." She said under her breath in a terrified gasp.

"It...it can't be..." Star whispered out, fearing the worst.

A moment's pause. That's when they heard a noise.

"Bark..."

"Baba..." Was heard.

Everyone, especially Stella froze upon hearing that.

They could hear a baby giggling, which of course made everyone's terror slowly dissappear, especially Stella's.

"P-Pierre?! My baby?!..." Stella let out in a quiet voice, as if afraid that she was just hearing things.

They soon saw that her son looked happy and oblivious before her, as Pierre was seen going through the rubble, unharmed, being held up as his onesie was in the mouth of the giant Cujo before he let him down gently. Fifi was on his head, barking happily.

"Cujo!..." Danny said in relief while Star looked more concerned over Pierre.

"They're okay!..." She said in relief, letting her breath out.

"Thank goodness. I almost had a heart attack when that the ceiling fell..." Tucker said, while Sam and Jazz collapsed onto their rears in joined relief.

"Same here..." Jazz said, relieved no harm befell the baby.

Stella gasped as she ran to her baby, who Cujo had just saved.

"He...saved them?!..." Stella questioned, before relief hit her.

"My babies!..." She shouted.

Without a care, she ran with her heels on to reach.

"Mama!..." Pierre went, reaching out for her.

Stella reached them and grabbed her son, hugging him and crying tears of relief.

"Oh, Pierre. Thank goodness! I was so afraid I lost you!..."Stella said as she began to hug and kiss her baby boy.

"Oh, you're safe now, my baby..."Stella said as she embraced her precious son, crying and not caring that her mascara was running right now.

Pierre, blissfully ignorant of the danger, just smiled and giggled...until he spat up a bit onto his mother's dress, most likely due to all the movement that he had to do.

"Bleh... "He let out, but his mother didn't care.

" Oh, Pierre... "She said, not even paying mind to the stain.

All that mattered to her was that her baby was safe.

" Pierre! Thank goodness!..."Star said, as she and the others checked on her thankfully unharmed baby brother who was still being hugged and kissed by her mother.

While Stella was hugging her son and peppering Pierre's face with kisses, Fifi dropped off Cujo's head and licked her face.

"Madame!..." Fifi barked.

Stella briefly stopped, and noticed that her pet no longer seemed to be hostile right now.

"Fifi? You're...not mad at me anymore?..." Stella asked before Fifi licked her face more, tickling her.

"I'll take that as a yes..." She said, before hugging her dog.

"I could never stay mad at you, Madame..." She said, meaning it.

Not that Stella understood, but she didn't need to since her loyal poodle was saying all she needed to with her actions.

Even though her words were undecipherable, Stella almost knew what she was saying. She clearly got the message and smiled.

"Oh, thank you Fifi..."Stella said in a grateful tone as she firmly yet lovingly cradled her baby boy close to her heart.

"Fifi, Cujo! Way to go! That was amazing!..."Star said as she petted her and Cujo happily.

"It sure was. I can see why they say dogs are loyal to the bone.."Danny praised, while gently scratching the female poodle behind the ears.

"Good girl, Fifi. You too, Cujo..." Jazz praised, seeing the giant dog a hero.

"Okay, my opinion on poodles pretty much improved ten fold right now..."Sam said honestly as everyone kept praising the dogs for their rescue.

The only thing that'd make her respect poodles even more would be them biting Dash or Vlad next.

"I'm honestly more of a cat person, but I can appreciate and admire how awesome these two dogs are..." Jazz said, wishing he had any extra dried meat to give them as treats.

"You can say that again..." Tucker agreed.

They all kept praising the dogs, the positive attention.

"This is the kind of attention I'd enjoy more often..." Fifi said to Cujo.

"Rocks, don't it?..." He asked.

Pierre smiled as he tried to reached down to her and wanted to join in on showering Fifi with affection and hold her in his tiny arms, which his mother noticed.

"Oh, Pierre. Do you wanna thank Fifi too?..."Stella said as she moved her son lower to where the dog was

Pierre hugged Fifi, who responded by licking his face, making him giggle even more.

"ARF! ARF!..."Fifi yipped happily.

"Fifi! Goob Girr!..." Pierre said, as his face was repeatedly getting licked by Fifi.

"Aww, this is adorable! No way I'm not taking a picture of this!..." Star gushed.

The blonde teen then got her phone to take a picture of her baby brother and the poodle having such a wholesome moment.

As that went on, Stella could see the non-hostile look on Cujo's face. Suddenly, any thoughts of this green coated dog being a monster were lost.

"Maybe I have been wrong about this ghost dog..." Stella thought as she slowly but surely got closer to Cujo and tentatively patted him on the head.

"Thank you..."She said, meaning it.

Cujo took that soft tone relay from Stella as sign of friendship and he responded back with a giant lick on her face, while forgetting that he was still in his giant from.

"You're welcome..." Cujo went with a happy pant.

This act of friendship caught Stella off guard and hasn't yet noticed that Cujo's lick caused her makeup to run in the opposite direction, almost giving her some highlights in her hair.

"Uh...Ok? I suppose that's him saying we're good..." She said as she pulled out a mirror, and cosmetics and quickly fixed her make up.

"If this means that all is forgiven, than I'm all for it. Just give a woman some warning first next time, okay?..." She thought as she used her emergency beauty products from her purse.

Just then much to the surprise of the blonde woman, Cujo went from being a monstrous size dog and became a puppy, something that amused Pierre was he clapped excitedly.

"Cujo! Cujo! Cujo!..."Pierre said, giggling.

"Huh...Guess hearing that name so much made your little brother learn a new word, Star..." Danny discreetly told his girlfriend.

"It's still adorable..." Star said with a smile. "And hey, there's still worse things Pierre could learn to say...Colette's name comes to mind..." She added.

"Ah, good point..." Danny nodded.

"I rather Pierre say Cujo's name than that witch you unfortunately have to call a stepsister..." He added.

Meanwhile, Fifi on her part excitedly made her way to Cujo and they affectionately rubbed noses.

"Oh, Cujo. You were so brave..."Fifi barked, all while the ghost dog did the canine equivalent of a blush.

"I should be saying that to you, Beautiful. You don't even have powers, but you rushed in there to save your masters human pup. That takes guts, a lot of guts. It's really impressive..." Cujo barked, admiring her more than ever.

Fifi looked bashful upon hearing that.

"Thank you...I can say the same thing about you after you followed me into danger without a hint of hesitation and saved us both. You're the kind of dog that all canines should aspire to be..." She said as they began to nuzzle each other affectionately

"I was just lucky, I guess..." He said modestly, enjoying her affection.

"Yes, you are. And so am I for knowing you..." Fifi said as the two dogs smiled and cuddled together.

Stella witness this and noticed how close they seemed and how peaceful the ghost dog seemed to be compared to earlier.

"You know, now that I have a chance to get a better look this green dog, he doesn't nearly seem so frightening up close. If anything, he's quite tranquil...and I guess he's kinda cute...when he's small, that is..." Stella thought to herself as the two dogs continued to admire each other.

The monster she saw and the little dog she sees now felt like almost two different creatures, yet here they are, one and the same.

And the same could be said of her own dog, which didn't act like the Fifi she's used to.

"Fifi saved Pierre. I'm still surprised..." Stella admitted.

"Fifi is no scaredy cat, that's for sure, unlike that cowardly pooch Jean-Puke tried to set her up with..."Sam said.

"You can say that again..." Star said. "That's Fifi. She is awesome in all the right ways..." She added.

Stella felt overjoyed hearing her daughter say that.

"She sure is..." Stella admitted before looking at Cujo and then at her beloved pet.

"Especially with all the expert dog training Fifi's gone through. Money well spent, if I do say so myself..."Stella said, since she did pay for the best dog training schools for Fifi.

"I somehow don't think they taught her that..." Star commented.

Hearing that caused Stella to turn her head to see her daughter.

"Then... where?..." She asked.

Star silently gestured to Cujo, who stared at her with a happy look on his face.

"Did... she learn from this dog ghost?..." She thought, before smiling slightly.

Before she could pet our new found ghostly canine hero on his head, the sound of a wall breaking down was heard.

It was the Guys in White who literally crashed the occasion, clearly too stupid to give up.

The had managed to kept themselves safe from that intense ordeal, came back to finally finish their self-assigned mission, much to the heroes dismay.

"Seriously?! These guys are as bad as cockroaches!..." Danny complained, irritated by their persistence.

"That's an insult to cockroaches. They're less intrusive and they at least have a purpose... gross as it is..." Sam said, arms crossed.

"She's right, you know. I'd say that they're more akin to mold that sneaks up on you when you least expect it..." Jazz said, as the two government agents tried to approach the ghosts again with violent intent.

"Now, time to take that punk Phantom and his stupid mutt in for questions and experiments! Lots and lots of painful experiments!..."Agent O said in anger.

Stella heard this and briefly stopped doting on her son. She then got angry and marched over to the so-called anti-ghost government agents.

"YOU...TWO...HORRIBLE MEN...ARE...NOT GOING TO TURN THE GHOSTS WHO SAVED MY SON'S LIFE INTO LAB RATS!..."She yelled.

The agents just glared at her, not intimidated at all.

"Step aside, civilian. This is a mater of national security...and we are with the government and have access to your tax records..."The agent said in a threatening tone.

Stella, however, was not intimidated at all.

"My family always pay our taxes on time, so I have nothing to worry about..."Stella said, arms crossed.

"Well...perhaps a mistake could happen...one that we may or may not prevent unless you step aside..."Agent K said, glaring at her.

"You're threatening a civilian now, are you? You two imbeciles clearly don't know who I am do you?..."Stella questioned while Star and Danny watched this from a distance.

"No and what does it matter?..."K questioned angrily, mentally questioning why this woman is treating these ghost freaks like they're the victims.

Barely did he know his question would soon be answered.

Stella was about to loudly berate the two stubborn government agents in front of her, when she was interrupted by a propeller sound that almost came out of nowhere.

Just then, a helicopter appeared and landed several yards away.

"Oh great, now what?..."Danny went as he quickly grabbed Cujo and the two became invisible.

Just then, Agent Alpha stepped out, looking quite angry.

"O! K!..." He shouted as the two shocked agents saluted him.

"Sir?! What are you doing here?! And why here of all places?..."O asked as Agent Alpha glared at them.

"I got a call from the country club's owner, who complained about, and I quote, "two incompetent men terrorizing this elite establishment and wanting to know where to send the bill for damages" and I took a wild guess that you two meatheads were the ones they were complaining about..." He said, looking like he'd blew a fuse.

A typical sight for O and K.

Both agents K and O gulped at getting caught red handed and were ratted out by someone without either of them noticing.

"O! K! Just what are you numbskulls doing?!..."Alpha yelled, looking like he was about to pop a blood vein from the stress and anger in his tone.

"We are just trying to do our jobs sir and capture ghosts, but this woman is getting in our way..."K said, pointing at Stella.

"They are trying to attack the ghost who saved my son's life and they just threatened me, a regular civilian. Is this how your agency works?!..." Stella asked, looking angry.

"How many times have I told you both not to get people in danger?!..." Alpha shouted, looking furious.

"Ma'am, I apologize for my men's STUPID actions but you must know that I did not authorize them to be here... or do ANY so called patrols. If I recall, they were SUPPOSED to be cleaning our agency's warehouse today but went AWOL!..." Alpha said, looking like steam was leaving his nose.

"Sir, we were just simply trying to do our jobs and restore the GiW name of being anti-ghost unit by taking down two ghosts of the GiW's most wanted..." K insisted, trying to save face and hope that Agent Alpha would see things his and O's way.

"Yes, Danny Phantom and his stupid dog were causing destruction, panic and mayhem across this city and we were just doing our duties by stopping them!..." O said, just as hopeful as K.

"Yeah, dealing with and apprehending them ourselves to... try and redeem ourselves..." K said, trying to build a good case for the both of them being here.

"Why am I not surprised they're trying to pin the blame on me?..." Danny thought with an eyeroll.

Alpha looked angered, not moved by what they said.

"I did NOT authorize you two to do field work! Also, I didn't give permission for you two twits to do ANYTHING but cleaning the warehouse and you left your posts without permission!.." Alpha said, still furious and remaining focused on the real issue that his agents were trying to swipe under the rug.

It was then that Agent Alpha noticed a blonde woman clearing her throat and gaining their attention again.
One woman holding up her phone.

"Your agents reckless actions nearly cost me my son's life. Your men made a HUGE mistake!..." Stella said, looking furious.

Danny, who change back and returns to stand by Star and his friends and himself seem like he was here the entire time, saw Stella standing up to the leader of the GiW.

"What did I miss?..." Danny quietly asked.

"Not much..." Star quickly replied and noticed that a green dog was missing.

"Where is Cujo?..." Star whispered.

"With Fifi and don't worry, I hid them both far enough away that the GiW won't can't notice or find them but not too far away that we can't get to them..." Danny answered.

"So long as those jerks don't get there gloved hands anywhere near on any innocent animal I'm okay with that..."Sam said as she kept a watchful eye on agent O and K and wondering if she can threaten a lawsuit too if needed.

"I'm glad that Cujo and Fifi are safe and sound for now, but right now I'm more concerned about my mom's safety..." Star said, as she, Danny and the rest of their friends saw Stella berating the GiW.

"Just who are you, anyway?..."Alpha asked, wanting to know how powerful the people annoyed by O and K were.

As well as getting a gut feeling that this random woman might not be someone he or his agent should make light of.

"My name is Stella Bevier. Maiden name TRAVILLE! As in the New York Travilles. As in, the eldest daughter of Richard Traville!..."Stella said, glaring at them.

O and K didn't look intimidated, but Agent Alpha was sweating now.

"So your're some pampered rich lady from New York? Big deal..."K said, only to be punched by agent Alpha.

"QUIET, YOU IDIOTS! You have no idea what you are talking about! Richard Traville is one of the richest men in the country!..."He yelled at them.

"Richer than you two brutes will ever hope to be, anyway..."Stella said with her nose held high.

"Our apologies, Ma'am..." Alpha said, sounding surprisingly cordial.

Mostly because he didn't want to risk anymore backlash to his organization, especially from someone from such an influential family.

His agents still didn't seem to understand how much they have messed up yet, while the blonde lady glared at them and remained angry. So angered, that Stella may even be willing to do something drastic to set things right from her perspective.

"I should sue you all for not only threatening me, but endangering my children and their friends, as well as nearly hurting my own dog with their dangerous ghost hunting weapons..." Stella said as Alpha panicked.

"Not another lawsuit! We still haven't recovered from the last one!..."Alpha said with a single sweat drop slowly sliding down his forehead.

Even agent O and K looked panicked at what this might mean for them and their respective salaries.

Stella glared at them, thinking of how to best punish them. She remained emotionless until a small smirk appeared on her face as she just thought up of a much more satisfying outcome to this.

"However, I think a lawsuit is too good for these brutes...I have something else in mind..." Stella said, changing her speaking tone from angered to suspiciously calm.

Stella pulled out her phone and dialed a number.

"What is she doing?..." Danny asked as Star had an inkling feeling that she knew what was about to happen.

"Uh oh, She's pulling out her signature card. The one she uses when she REALLY wants to get her way..." Star said.

Danny wondered what that meant as they kept listening in.

"Hi Daddy, it's Stella..."Stella said on the phone, which she put on speaker.

"Oh, hi Sweet-Pea. How are you?..."Richard said.

"Not very good, Pierre and I have just been treated so rudely by some government agents from an organization called the Guys in White..."Stella complained.

"Oh, is that so?..."Richard asked, but his tone didn't sound too happy now.

"Yes, even after Danny Phantom and his dog helped save Pierre's life just now, they insist on hunting them down and even threatened ME when I asked them not to!..."Stella said, smirking as her father grew angry now.

"WHAT?! SOMEONE DARED TO THREATENED YOU AND ALSO WANTED TO HURT MY GRANDSON'S PROTECTORS?! WHO ARE THEY?! I'LL MAKE THEM WISH THAT THEY NEVER MET US!..."Richard yelled on his end.

Danny and Star both blinked upon hearing that.

"Wow, Grandpa is really mad now..." Star said.

"I've never even heard him yell that loud before. I'm kind of glad that this is all happening over a phone call and not in person..." Danny commented, as Star's mother continued.

"Anyway Daddy...I wanted to know...can you please buy me the Guys in White agency and subject it to a complete hostile takeover? I feel that some changes need to be made..." Stella said as everyone's jaw dropped upon hearing this.

"Sure, Sweet-Pea. Just let me make a few phone calls..."Her father said before hanging up.

A few moments later, Agent Alpha got a phone call and then answered it.

"Hello, Agent Alpha of the Guys in White..."The leader said.

After a few moments of talking, the lead agent's jaw dropped when he heard what the rich man said.

"HOW MUCH?!..."He let out in astonishment that even his sunglasses nearly fell off his face.

Richard repeated and Alpha looked almost faint now.

"That's...A LOT of zeroes..."He whispered, before grinning and readjusted his sunglasses.

"Okay, it's all yours! Happy to do business with you...Boss..."Alpha said, looking eager before hanging up.

He then turned to Stella and smiled.

"Well, it looks like your the new owner of the guys in white. It's truly an honor to meet you in person, Madame Chairwoman..."He said as Alpha saluted towards Stella.

His two agents jaw dropped in complete shock at what just happened in the last few minutes, while Agent Alpha kept trying to kiss up to the new owner.

"Oh there's no need for such formalities, Mr. Alpha. We can decide those details later, while we call about some much needed improvements on how this agency should present itself in the public..." Stella said, speaking in a much more professional business tone.

"Whatever you say, Ma'am. Your word is law within the Guys-In-White..." Alpha spoke in a respectful manner.

"WHAT?! BOSS! We're an agency of the government?! How could you just sell to someone like her?!..."O said, but Alpha glared at them.

"Shut up, you idiots! Her father Richard Traville is a billionaire and has connections with some of the most powerful politicians out there, including the president!..."He yelled.

"WHAT?!..."O and K shouted as Stella smirked.

"My daddy is VERY well-connected, and his connections even reach several people within the white house too..."Stella said, still smirking as she looked at her nails.

"I didn't even know that grandpa had that kind of influence..." Star whispered to Danny, as they continued to watch.

"W-Well...even so...how can someone like him buy our entire agency so fast?! And why would the president allow such a thing?..."O asked.

"You idiots, don't you get it! Thanks to you idiots and your equally ignorant colleagues, we're the laughingstock of the entire government. We've hardly caught ANY ghosts since we've first opened and even the president sees us as a waste of money and prefers having Danny Phantom to do the job, since he's doing it for free!..."Alpha yelled.

"We have been on the verge of bankruptcy for a while now, so this is actually a godsend to us. So, don't do anything to upset our new owner!..."He yelled.

"We have?..." O asked, while he and K were shocked to hear this.

"Partially thanks to you two!..." Alpha growled.

Team Phantom heard this and suddenly realized why they have seen the GiW patrolling around here as much as they realistically should have in the last few years.

They couldn't afford to keep doing as often as before.

"Huh? That actually explains a lot..."Tucker said out loud, before Sam shushed him to remain quiet while they all continued watching all this unfold.

Stella smirked as O and K both got down on their knees and started begging Stella.

"P-Please...Mrs. Traville..."O said, groveling now.

"Madame Bevier. Traville is my maiden name..."Stella said, frowning.

"Right...Madame Bevier. We're sorry. Please don't fire us! Have mercy on us!..." O pleaded on his knees.

"We're in so much debt as it is and no one else will hire us! Please! Have pity!..."K begged her pathetically.

"Usually I love a man that begs...but that does not apply to you two..."She said, frowning.

"Still, I am a woman that has grown to believe in second chances so...I won't fire you two..."Stella said.

"T-Thank you, Madame Bevier..."The two agents said in relief.

"However, there are gonna be some major changes here..."Stella said.

"For starters. Danny Phantom and his dog are off limits now. One, because he is a GOOD ghost and he clearly can do a better job that you both can..."Stella said.

"Understood, Madame..."Alpha said, answering for the two agents.

O and K were shocked and angry, but couldn't complain and they knew it. No matter how much they wanted to.

"If your little agency has to fight ghosts, then only go for the BAD ones, understood?..."Stella said.

"Understood, Madame..."Agent Alpha said to his new boss, answering for the two agents.

"Good...second, this entire agency is going to get a complete makeover. Starting with those tacky uniforms of yours. Too much white after Labor day is just...nauseating..."She said.

"Hey, we're the guys in white and-..."K was silent, as Agent Alpha sent him a glare.

"Understood, Madame. The uniforms will change..."He said.

"Good, I have a few ideas...I'm thinking of something chic...modern...and doesn't look too tacky to actually work in real life..." Stella said, and the two agents kept nodding and sucking up to her.

Danny and Star were stunned.

"Your mom is the new owner of the guys in white?!..." Danny said, still trying to process this sudden change to himself.

"I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. She once bought out an entire fashion line just to be able to get first bids on a new pair of shoes that she wanted..." Star said, and Danny sent her a look.

"It's kind of a long story that somehow ends with my Mom and Sam's Mom ending up wearing the same shoes at local events..." Star said, with Danny realizing that there was still a lot more to Star and her family than he original thought.

"What exactly IS considered normal for your family?..." Danny asked, knowing full well of the irony of him asking Star this question.

Before she could answer him, they heard a groaning noise. They turned around and saw that it was Jean Luc, who was regaining conciousness.

"Naarrr...Ce qui s'est passé?..." He muttered, as he grabbed his head. "My head...where am I? What is happening?..." He asked out loud.

He slowly got up and saw the two agents groveling at his wife's feet, now he even more thoroughly confused but even he realized he must have missed something big.

"What happened?..." Jean Luc asked, before he panicked. "AND WHERE IS MY SON?!..."He asked, looking around.

"Calm down, Jean Luc. Pierre is fine...thanks to Fifi and her friend..." Stella said, hoping he'll stop being hostile with Cujo.

She might as well hope Nevada will freeze over.

"Look, you should've seen the way they both gave kisses to lil Pierre. Give me just a moment and I'll show you..." She said, as she pulled out her phone and showed Jean the photos she took Pierre being kissed by both Fifi and Cujo.

Jean-Puke immediately went into a panicked shocked outburst that made him shriek out in a high pitch voice at the sight of Cujo.

"Relax, Jean Luc. It's just a photo, it won't jump out and hurt you. No need to so dramatic..." Stella said as she noticed Pierre beaming at the photo he shared with the two dogs, much to his father's disappointment.

"Of course one of the most revolting creatures of this haunted city is now the hero of the day and my son's savior. Has the world gone mad?!..." Jean Luc muttered to himself.

"Angered, yes. Deranged, not so much..." Star, overhearing this, snarked under her breath.

While Jean-Luc was busy sulking to himself, Stella went back to three GiW agents, who now work for her, to establish some new ground rules for HER new agency.

"Also, we should really start thinking of some new Acronym names for this agency. Since I fully intend on hiring more women into this agency's workforce..." Stella said.

K and O were utterly appalled by this subjection of hers.

"But we're the GUYS-in-White, emphasis on the guys. It's one thing to completely change of uniform, but it's thing to start-ahh!..."Alpha stopped K in his tracks with a swift elbow to his gut to shut him up.

"Understood, Madame. It's about time that this agency caught up with today's times..." Agent Alpha said, not finding this idea too problematic or unreasonable.

"Good. Because that's not the ONLY that'll change with this agency either..." Stella said, glaring slightly at the two agents who almost shrink under her gaze.

Agent O and K both had a gut feeling that they were in for massive new workload on their hand in the near future.

And not the kind they'd enjoy.

"Here's hoping that our paychecks might change for the better along with the agency..." K said, hoping that there will be some kind of silver lining within this takeover of their workplace.

"Worst-case scenario is if we'll be assigned cubicles and dealing with paperwork that'll seem endless before the weekends..." O said, praying that he and K won't end up with worse jobs than the ones they already have.

"If I wanted a desk job, I'd have become an insurance agent..." K muttered.

They'd soon learn there's a worse scenario.

"There is also the matter of the damage to the club. Eleanor happens to be a good friend of mine and I don't think it's fair that her building had to suffer or that she has to pay for all of it..."Stella said with some edge in her voice.

"No worries, Madame chairwoman...just send the bill to us, these fools' paychecks will cover it..." Alpha said.

"WHAT?! Boss, no! We are already swimming in debt as it is!..." K pleaded, clasping hands together as if praying.

"Please! I have child support payments to keep up!..." O begged, unable to afford another debt.

"Shut up and stop groveling! You two had this coming and you are the reasons this place is trashed. Be thankful I don't have you fired or arrested..." Alpha reminded.

"But it was the ghost punk and his dog who-..."

"No excuses and pay ! Don't test my patience when it's already dried up!..." Alpha yelled.

"Yes sir..." They went in defeated unison.

But Stella wasn't satisfied with it.

"I also think that first thing is first, these two should clean up this mess you two made and and apologize to everyone now..." Stella said.

"You two heard Madame chairwoman, clean this place up!..." Alpha ordered as he tossed a broom and mop at his disgraced agents.

"Also, make it quick. Be finished before morning. Double time..." Stella said, clapping her hands together as an order.

The agents glared at her and refused to move, hoping it'd make her change her mind.

"I said double time..."She repeated, hands on her hips.

The two agents flinched and immediately began cleaning like their lives depended on it.

Team Phantom witness this and smiled, feeling a sense of relief.

"Karma..." Danny said while smirking.

"You can say that again..." Star said, pleased that they got what they deserve.

All but one person was okay with this.

It was at this point that Jean-Luc finally paid attention to what his current wife was doing and what it was about. To say the he was deeply disappointed, wouldn't say much considering what's already happened from his perspective.

Jean-Luc didn't like what he heard.

"A Government Agency? Really, Stella? This is such a waste of perfectly good money and resources on something so trivial and beneath people like us to be concerned with..." Jean Luc said, not at all interested in government affairs that don't directly involve his business.

"Daddy is the one who bought it for me as a gift, and it was a good investment. I fully intend to make the most of it and make it better than when Daddy first bought for me an entire club and make those stupid men regret making an enemy out of me..." Stella said, excited for what she has planned for the GiW agency.

"Even so, what good could owning a failing ghost hunting agency will do? It does not seem like a practical investment..." He argued.

"Oh, this is more about safety and preparing something for the future. You never know when having a ghost hunting agency will come in handy, especially with the existence of ghosts slowly being more of reality these days..." Stella said, believing it was a good idea even without profits.

"She's done it, so get over it..." Star said with a mocking tone.

Jean-Luc looked to Stella, expecting her to reprimand her, but nothing.

"Unbelievable..." He muttered, hating that nothing has gone his way today.

A little later

After Jean-Puke left to do some damage control on his business relationships with his so called friends, everyone else was happier

Stella sighed, shaking her head at Jean-Luc for not supporting her investment in the ghost hunting agency...and wishing people would learn to tolerate her husband.

"If I didn't agree with keeping Fifi happy, I'd have let her know by now..." She said, choosing to walk away and keep her precious Pierre and Fifi in her arms.

"Mama..."Pierre babbled happily, still oblivious to what happened.

Fifi looked back and stare at the direction where Cujo vanished.

"Cujo..." The poodle thought, wondering where the ghost dog went.

However, for now, she's reunited with Madame and Madame's pup.

"Fifi...Cujo...Guud doowgs..." Pierre said happily, while patting Fifi on her back.

Fifi looked at him and then smiled, glad madame's youngest pup liked Cujo.

She smiled more, feeling content for the first time in a while.

"Thank Cujo. For not only being my hero again, but for saving the ones that are so very dear to me..." The poodle thought, very thankful for what Cujo had done for her.

But it would be lie to say that she doesn't miss the green ghost dog right now.

With nearly everything being settled, Star and Danny breathed out a sigh of relief. Until they both felt as if they've just forgotten something.

"Are we forgetting something?..." Danny asked.

"More like someone..." Star said, cringing.

Our favorite heroic couple had noticed that Cujo somehow slipped right pass them yet again, but decide to continue their search for him at a later time. Since most of the dangers surrounding the green ghost dog were already taken case of. So Danny and Star decided to call it a day for now.

"You sure he is gonna be okay?..." Star asked.

"Eh, the the morons in white are no longer gonna hunt him and I think we will be okay for a little bit...not to mention I am pretty tired right now. We will go find him later or something..." Danny suggested.

"Fine...besides, after all that action, I wouldn't be surprised if Cujo needed to rest too..." Star said.

"Here is hoping..." Danny said, just grateful that things seem to finally be settling down a bit.

Elsewhere

In Paris

Vlad was now in his suite, in bed, and in a foul mood.

After that painful and humiliating encounter at the beach, he was rushed to the hospital to treat his wounds and just got back to the suite, but he was still seething form the unpleasant humiliation he experienced. All thanks to his wife's ignorance and believing in a long debunked myth.

"I can't believe she made dogs PEE on me to treat a jellyfish sting! It's bad enough she doesn't even look like Maddie but its clear she doesn't have much of her BRAIN either!..."He thought in anger after he finished showing that gross stuff off.

Now he was dressed and went to the room, where his wife was waiting for him.

Once she saw him, she ran to him and clung on tight.

"Oh, Vladdy baby. You're up!..." Alicia went, squeezing him.

"Yes, I'm up..." He said as Alicia slowly let him go.

"Is it too late to find the Behemoth and let it digest me?..." He thought.

As he stepped back, he felt a powerful sense of pain in his lower back.

"ACK!..." He went, reaching for it, only for his arms to hurt upon moving.

Alicia noticed this and was worried.

"You okay, Love Muffin?..."She asked, sounding concerned.

"Oh, it's...nothing for you to concern yourself with, Darling. Just...a sore back..." Vlad said, while Alicia panicked.

"Oh, poor baby. No worries, Nurse Alicia will make you feel better..." Alicia said in a loving way.

"I don't like the sound of that!..." Vlad thought, nervous at what she'll do.

Before he could ask, Alicia pushed him onto the couch and turned him until he was on his back.

"What are you-..."

He was cut off when Alicia pressed both hands into his back.

"No worries, Sweetie Pie. I will make them nasty knots go away..." Alicia said as she continued with her massage.

However, her so called massage was no better than clumsy punches and slaps.

"Oooh! OOF!...AHHH! ALICIA!...AHH!. Pleas-...AHHHHHH!.." Vlad yelped in pain as his wife continued her treatment, not realizing she was hurting him and causing more harm than good.

"Just a few more minutes of this and the power of love will heal you..." She said, as she continued her massage.

5 (PAINFUL) minutes later

Vlad laid on the couch, his bones and back sore from his wife's "treatment".

"There, all done..."Alicia said cheerfully, unaware of the pain she inflicted on her beloved husband.

Vlad, feeling even worse, was hissing and groaning in pain right now.

"My...bones...I think some of my internal organs are either loose or juiced..."He thought, gasping in pain.

"Is that better, Sugar pants?..." Alicia asked, wondering if he still hurts.

Due to the love potion still being under effect, Vlad didn't want to make her feel bad, so he downplayed the soreness and smiled at her.

"Never better, Darling..." He said in an unnaturally cheery way.

That was a mistake, as Alicia sent him a flirty look now.

"Good, cause I was waiting to get my hands on you for hours. Now pucker up, Honey Lips! We got tons romance to get back to enjoyin'...And I know how..." Alicia said in a sing song way as she puckered up and kissed him.

"WHY ME?! WHAT DID I EVER DO TO DESERVE THIS?!..."Vlad thought in pure mystery as Alicia proceeded to make out with him again, complete with tongue.

"My Vladdy..." Alicia went in enjoyment, as she pushed him back on the couch and began expressing her love again.

"I should have let those jellyfish things sting me to death!.."He thought in misery as Alicia's hand started to run through his hair as she kept doing more amorous things while he kept kissing her back and encouraging her.

All the while, he was being reminded that his honeymoon is nowhere near over yet.

Not by a long shot.
