"Where's the princess?!" Bowser demanded. "Is she safe? Is she comfortable? Does she have something to read?...Asking for a friend."

Olly tapped his hand against the throne. "Oh, she's right in front of you. Behold!" He held out his arm to the wall from whence Olly's throne was in front of.

Princess Peach, origami still, had been folded into a suncatcher. She rested inside the wall as a window, peaceful and silent. At least she wasn't hurt, for Mario was worried she would be.

"Wh-what?!" Olivia stuttered. "Why would you do that? She didn't do anything to you!"

"Silence!" Olly sat up. "When I said I was going to fold her castle, I meant her with it!"

"Wait all these cranes...You wouldn't!"

"I would, and I did. The thousand-crane wish is the only way to fully complete our Origami Kingdom."

"Your Origami Kingdom," Olivia corrected. "This isn't right, Olly! Why can't you see that? Why do you hate the Origami Craftsman so?"

"He dishonored me and all of origami kind!" He stood in his throne, his crown falling crooked. "He is a disgrace to our family, and you're too stubborn to see that."

"I'M too stubborn?! Olly, you're the one who's stubborn!"

"Shut up, Livi! I made my point, you don't need to keep fighting me!"

"Why'd you tell me to shut up? That was so mean!"

"You're blind, Livi."

"You're missing an eye, so I think you're MORE blind."

"Argh!" Olly floated up from his throne. "That's enough!" Thunder struck outside the window as Olly spoke. "You do not speak of my eye, you do not speak of these...criminals, and you certainly shall not speak of that Toad ever again!" Olly's eye began glowing again. "I'll be sure to beat Mario."

Mario shuddered.

"And I'll honor your paper by folding you into the very last crane!" A Magic Circle unlike all others Mario had seen appeared below the Origami King. "So say your prayers."

"Olly can make Magic Circles?!"

"What'd you expect? You expected the Origami Overlord to be as weak as you? Pfah!"

The Magic Circle held Olly's insignia in the center, it surrounded by the four Magic Circles of the Vellumentals. The Earth Magic Circle glew brighter and Olly began unfolding.

"That's not good, not good!" Bobby said.

The Olly Earth Vellumental had purple scales rather than Chikyū's yellow, but the shell remained green. Like Olivia's transformation, it wore his crown and angled eyes, but also sported his bangs as well.

"He likes his hair, I guess." Bowser shrugged.

Purple energy gathered around the king. "Let's see you try to survive this one!"

"Olly can fold into the Vellumentals?!" Olivia gasped. "And has practically infinite energy like Scissors?"

Olly let out a thunderous roar and charged Mario. Mario jumped over him as he skid to a stop. Mario hammered the tail.

"Grah!" He tucked himself into his shell and began spinning.

"What did you just do?!" Stephen exclaimed.

The Earth Vellumental Olly slammed against the ground, sending everyone flying.

"You didn't think I was ready for that? I learned everything about these creatures! Everything!"

"Well did you learn this?" Olivia had used Olly's Magic Circle to transform into the Ice Vellumental and froze Olly in his tracks. "Now Mario!" She kicked a Magic Circle over to Mario's feet.

After a hard, long fight against the four Vellumentals, they had finally worn Olly down. He knelt on the ground panting.

"Olly? Are you okay? Even using one Vellumental can be exhaust-"

"Shut it! I don't need your pity!"

Olivia flinched back. "Olly, I care about you. I just want to make sure you hadn't hurt yourself. I love you, and so does-"

"You think you can teach me about love? Was there love in the heart of that Toad?!" Olly coughed out a bit of blood as he rose from his knees. "No, there wasn't."

"Oh my gosh, Olly! You're going to kill yourself!"

"I will make you understand. You will all witness the true, raw power of origami!"

The glow started from his eye, but engulfed him entirely. He lifted from the ground, the entire castle shaking.

"You'll pay for these crimes! Pay!" Olly coughed out blood again and unfolded.

"What in the ever-living heck is he doing now?!" Bowser asked. "I've never seen power like this before, and I was possessed on multiple occasions!"

"H-he just keeps unfolding! What are we going to do?!"

The Toads all began sliding into a dark abyss as a circular platform appeared.

"Oh, OH!" Bowser responded. "I know what this is now."

Olly landed back down, still panting, larger than before.

"Origami Sumo? Really?" Olivia said.

"I don't see you trying anything!" Olly shot back.

"Well yeah?" Bowser started, marching towards Olly. "Well, I'm not afraid of you! I've seen worse, actually! You might have puffed out your chest and got all weird lookin' but you're still just as weak as ever! You and your bad haircut are going down!"

"Um, while that was a very...intimidating speech," Olivia said, "you're way too tiny to fight Olly now."

"I'll set him on fire!"

"I admire your optimism, King Bowser. Honestly, I do. Unfortunately, I'm strong enough to fold reality, and you're not origami. You'll do nothing to me here in this backwards reality."

"Olly's right. It strengthened him, so it can strengthen you too! Let me fold you!"

"That's not what I meant!" Olly interrupted.

Bowser began glowing yellow and floated from the ground.

"Woah, WOAH! Hey, what are you doing?!"

"I'm lending you some origami power! Hold still! You're moving around too much!"

Bowser was folded quickly, landing on the ground on the opposite end of Olly. His eyes glew yellow for a quick moment before fading away.

"Grahaha! I can get used to this!"

"Pfah, you're still as flat as ever." Olly pushed Bowser, the Koopa king stumbling a bit.

"Hey wait, how are you so strong still?!"

"I'm origami, remember? This is origami power, not your own!" Olly began pushing him closer to the edge.

A ring of Magic Circles appeared around them, near where Mario stood.

"Ha! You need help from your little flat friends to beat me! I should have known you were weak, King Bowser!"

Mario went to the one behind Bowser and began slamming his fists on the floor, shaking the ground enough to give Bowser a small advantage.

"H-hey! That's not fair! I'm not playing dirty, so why can you?!"

"Because," Mario started, going behind Bowser again, "you're cheating anyways!"

"You think I'm cheating? Why, I'm offended! I played fair to this moment, so I guess it's time to turn the tables!"

A group of origami shurikens appeared, charging towards Mario from both sides. He jumped over two and hammered the other two on his way back down.

"Argh! Even when I play on unfair grounds you still manage to get under my skin!"

The last one was enough to knock Olly close enough to the edge Bowser could push him over on his own.

"I won't lose to you! To me, Folded Soldier!"

An origami Thwomp materialized above Mario, slowly rising higher.

"Mario, we need to do this quick!" Olivia warned.

Mario began desperately slamming the ground behind Bowser as the Thwomp rose higher still. It suddenly popped into confetti and Mario's arms returned to normal.

"It's over King Olly!" Bowser taunted. "I have the high ground!"

"Pardon?"

"Long live the king!" He called as he shoved Olly over the edge.

"Curse you!" Olly screamed as he fell to the abyss below. There was a bright purple glow from under the platform.

Bowser celebrated with a roar. "Grahaha! Take that!"

Olivia peered over the edge. "Poor Olly, he chose to hate flat folk until the very end." She faced Mario, defeated. "I guess this is it, huh? How do we get out of here?"

"Wait, what is that?" Bowser said, peering over the edge. Of course, no one paid any attention to him, but they would all find out soon enough what Bowser was talking about.

A giant hand arose from the abyss and slapped Bowser off the platform. The penetrating sound startled Mario and Olivia, who looked to see what happened.

"He actually beat me!" Bowser cried as he fell into the darkness below.

"Enough of this!" Olly yelled, his voice shaking the entire arena and causing Mario to lose his balance and fall over.

Olly pulled himself up, larger than Mario had ever seen. Olly had somehow found a way to fold himself giant. Mario noticed Olly had the thousand-fold arms as well, and thought that may be the cause of his size.

"What the-?!" Olivia gasped. "Olly? How in the world did you do that? You can use the thousand-fold arms? That explains the Magic Circles everywhere, honestly..."

"I tried and tried to be nice about this! I tried to play fair!"

"Olly, what's come over you? You're not acting like yourself! You haven't been for a while!"

Olly was still panting hard, clearly running out of energy to use from his desperate attempts. "Shut it! I do not want to hear another sound from you!" Olly raised his fist over Mario. "I'll crush you flatter than you can be!"

"This is a good time for that special technique now, Olivia." Olivia told herself in a whisper. "Stop your madness, Olly!" She glew yellow, the floor under them doing so as well.

Mario saw Olly cover his eye before having to as well. When he uncovered them, there was a giant Magic Circle under him. It bore the thousand-fold arms Magic Circle in the center, the outer ring holding four diamond-shaped Magic Circles with Olivia as the image instead of the Vellumentals like Mario was expecting.

"Another Magic Circle? Pfah! What are you going to do, slap my wrists with those feeble arms of yours?! This Magic Circle is nothing compared to me! Nothing!" Olly slammed his hands onto the arena.

"Mario, look out!"

Mario jumped as Olly swiped his hands under Mario. Mario landed back onto the center as the Magic Circle began slowing and came to a stop. The Magic Circle had been scrambled up, much to Mario's shock.

"Mario, remember that Ring Scramble minigame from Shy Guys Finish Last?"

Mario nodded.

"This is just like that! We need to fix it before Olly decides to kill us! Yay!"

"Shut it! I won't tell you again!" Olly held out his open palm above Mario. "Farewell forever, Mario!"

He slammed his hand down, Mario turning sideways to slip between his fingers before being crushed. Olly removed his hand and waved it off in the air.

"Why you-" He growled.

Mario placed his hands onto the ring nearest to him and rushed in a circle to turn the platform.

"Hey! That's not fair!"

Mario, as he stopped to grab another ring, saw Olly fold one of his hands into purple hammers.

"What?! You can do that with the thousand-fold arms?!" Olivia exclaimed.

"Dodge this, peasant!"

He slammed one of them onto the ground, Mario rolling out of the way. He smacked Mario with the second one, sending Mario flying towards the ledge.

"Waaaaa!" Mario clawed at the edge. "Olivia!"

Olivia came over and helped him up. "We've got this, Mario!"

Mario was able to dodge other attacks as he repaired the Magic Circle. It began glowing again once fixed.

"Wahoo!" Mario jumped and pumped his fist.

"Grr! I'll make this Magic Circle as useless as scrap paper!"

He slammed both of his hands onto Mario's hands, Mario fighting to push Olly away. He jumped free, pushing the Origami King back a bit, who responded back with trying to shoot some paper planes at him. Mario jumped on them to get an extra in-air boost, and jumped on Olly's hammer hands as he attempted to crush Mario.

"You're finished!"

He folded his hands into two swords and tried to slice Mario with them. Mario recognized his movements from his battle with Scissors and jumped over them. He pulled out his hammer, spun in a circle, and slammed it onto Olly's hands; stunning Olly long enough for Mario to return to the Magic Circle's center.

"Now it's your turn!" Olivia said.

Mario used the thousand-fold arms to punch Olly's face a few times before Olivia stopped him. Every hit caused Olly to scooch further and further off the edge.

"Olly, I hope you're ready for this!" Olivia unfolded above Mario.

"Livi..." Olly muttered, rubbing his face with one of his hands.

Olivia had folded herself into a giant hammer, the colors matching her entire pallet, her crown atop the head of the hammer. Mario could see the fear and shock in Olly's glowing eye. Mario grabbed onto the handle of the Olivia hammer and slammed Olly in the face with it. He did one more hit before Olly spoke again.

"Look into my eyes, Olivia! Do you really think I'm a bad guy?!" Olly shut his eye, bracing himself for another attack.

Mario stopped, the hammer inches from the Origami Overlord's face. If Mario's grasp were to slip, it was over.

Olivia was visibly upset, but her gaze still gentle. "I don't, Olly. I really don't."

Olly opened his eye, the purple glow a little more faint than before. A gentle yet scared gasp escaped his lips when he saw her. So close to death...

"But if you're not, then why are you acting like one?"

Olly felt his arms growing weaker as those words pierced his heart. "Olivia...Livi-"

"Don't-a try anything," Mario threatened, his face invisible behind Olivia's towering form. "Or else."

"Look at everything you've done," Olivia said. "I mean, look at yourself! Using the Vellumentals like that was dangerous enough, and now you got so desperate that you would rather die than stop your madness."

Olly examined the area. She was right; he had folded reality itself just so he could beat Mario.

A fight he knew he couldn't win.

"The Origami Craftsman was right. If this is how you will forever be, then he shouldn't have used the Fold of Life on you, brother."

Olly's arms began shaking, the gentle rattling of his folds breaking through the tense silence. The shuddering moved to the rest of him, tears streaming down his face as it did. Olivia gave her brother a concerned look, sharing a glance with Mario. She became herself once more, Mario giving her a nod.

"But...I-I want to be alive. I-I love being alive!"

"Then why are you wasting it ruining other people's lives? Don't you see? You're doing this wrong! If you really cared for me, you would've stopped when I told you the first time."

"I-I didn't mean t-to...! I-I was trying to protect you, Livi!" Olly wiped the water from his eye and looked at his palm.

"Are you helping or making things worse, brother?"

Olly rested his face in his hands. "I-I don't know anym-more..." His breaths became short and quick as he closed his fingers around the blocky form of his head.

"Olly? Are you okay?" Olivia asked. "You need to breathe."

"I-I was so sc-scared," Olly stuttered through tears of regret. "I-I thought I w-would help everyone b-by getting rid of th-the Toads..."

Olivia's eyes widened. "You were scared? Why? Of what?"

Olly peeked through his fingers, the purple glow now hardly visible. "H-him. I'm sc-scared of him..And all the Toads look j-just l-like..."

"Oh, Olly...He feels so bad about all of this." She gave her brother a gentle smile, hoping he would be comforted by her love.

"He f-feels bad?! You said it y-yourself! H-he regrets e-even making m-me!"

Her happiness changed to a frown. "Olly, he blames this all on himself. He's mad at himself for using it rather than folding you. He even regrets writing on you..." She placed her hand on Olly's chest and leaned her head closer to him. "Olly, I'm sorry you're scared. Being scared is no fun; I know, but turning your fear into anger and taking it out on others is not a good way to deal with it either!"

Olly looked at his unstable hands, turning his gaze to his younger twin. "Livi...?"

She looked up at her giant brother, her smile turning to confusion. "Yes? What is it?"

"I-I'm going to get s-soggy..." He wiped at his eyes, still not ending the water's flow. "Wh-what is this? Why do I-I have water c-coming from my eye...?"

Olivia became shocked, which lead to calm laughter. "Oh, Olly! Those are tears! You're crying." She removed her hand from his chest and placed it onto his palm. "You're crying because you're hurt." She flew closer to her brother, signaling for him to move closer. He complied and Olivia wrapped her arms around him to the best of her ability.

"Wh-what are you doing...?" Olly gently cupped his hands around her.

"I'm giving you a hug," she responded. "I'm comforting your pain."

Mario came over and embraced him as well.

"I-I...thank you..." The glow in Olly's eye diminished as he fully embraced his sister.

"I love you!" Olivia exclaimed happily.

"I-I...don't feel well..."

Olivia looked up a her brother. "Hm? Are you alright?"

Olly rested his palm on his forehead. "I'm all warm...I can feel my power leaving me..." Olly leaned onto the edge of the floating platform, holding onto the ledge with his his left hand while carefully lowering Olivia onto the platform with the other.

"Olly? Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, I just-" Olly's hand slipped, tossing him off balance. The fortune tellers all around unfolded, their blank paper falling into the abyss below.

"Olly!" Olivia called, her and Mario rushing to the ledge. "Brother!"

Olly clawed at the the arena as it began to slowly tilt. He pulled himself up just enough so Olivia could see his smiling face. "Hey, I'm alright, see? You have no need to fear."

"Olly...What'll happen if you fall?"

"I'll be alright." Olivia sadly looked at his shuddering arms. He used his left hand to gently move her head back towards his face again. "I promise."

"Olly," she started, "your face looks more pale than before." She tilted her head slightly, her curls bobbing. "Are you sure you're alright?"

"Yeah, yeah...I feel faint..."

"Olly...the platform is tilting too far!"

Olivia was right. With Olly's diminishing energy, he was leaning against the elevated surface to keep himself from falling.

The fate Bowser had suffered.

The platform was still tilting slowly, leaving Mario and Olivia to keep backing closer to the opposite end to prevent from sliding off.

"Oh dear-" Olly started right as his hand slipped off. His grip loosened as he attempted to reach for the arena again. His arms were exhausted, and he couldn't keep hold.

He tumbled down, Olivia's cry echoing after him.

Tears gracefully floated upwards in the darkness. He tried to call for his sister, to say anything, but the abyss muted all sound.

All feeling...
