C1 NewWorld
Maple smiled sadly as she petted Syroup on the original guild base, the time she had spent in the game had already amounted to nearly 3 years of her life, and yet, everything eventually came to an end.
She could hardly hold back her tears, so many funny things had happened in her first real MMORPG, and she had invested herself so much that sometimes she found herself trying to use skills in real life.
The game she enjoyed the most was not New World Online, instead, in the year 21XX she invested 3 years of her life in Yggdrasil, the hit of the moment. Was in there where she would come to know her archnemesis, an Overlord leading one of the greatest guilds across Yggdrasil, it was at this last moment of solitude that she wanted to call her archnemesis Momonga once again, he was someone so smart, such a good leader, Maple couldn't help but want to be such an incredible guild leader as he was, in fact, Maple, and contrary at what her efforts to conquer Nazarik may have hint, she was a true fan of Momonga and Ainz Ooal Gown as a guild.
The truth is that Maple Tree was a small fish in a great sea, yet a fat fish to that, the guild had done a very good job at keeping up in the leaderboard of the game even though some guilds like Ainz Ooal Gown had more than 50 players in them, but at the end the numbers would always end up overwhelming Maple Tree. However, Maple was having some second thoughts on that idea, for starters: How would she talk to her archnemesis? She hadn't talked to Momongo outside roleplaying or through forums, Was she just sending him a message saying that she wanted to spend the last moments of the world with him? Wouldn't that be practically a love confession?! Maple knew that all the members of Ainz Ooal Gown were busy and hard-working people (also some old ojisans), but she didn't know how to talk to him under those circumstances... Maybe just go along the common sense and just send him a polite and friendly message? What did common sense even mean to begin with?
As her finger circled over the send a message button, Maple suddenly panicked as she realized there was only one minute left on the server.
Chaos, her head was spinning, she didn't know what to write, nor if what she was writing was good or bad, when the clock marked 10 seconds to go Maple pressed the button in panic.
«This time, I will destroy Nazarick»
Maple instantly regretted this declaration of war. She couldn't destroy the great tomb of Nazarick in the last ten seconds of the game! Panicked and not knowing that she didn't have time, Maple took her shield and followed by her turtle, she left her guild base.
At that moment the counter to the end reached 00:00:00, but it kept moving.
The outside was not the forest she remembered being the exterior of her guild base, no, this was a new world.
Great Tomb of Nazarick
Momonga was panicking, he had just received one single message that sent him into the deeps of desperation, Maple just declared she would destroy Nazarick.
There were only 10 seconds left until the closure of the servers, yet, if there was someone who could destroy Nazarick in ten seconds it was without a doubt the Atrocity Maple, and if she was prepared right at the entrance of Nazarick with most of Nazarick's defenses down this was no joke.
Maple was Momonga's worst nightmare, she had so many tricks that it was impossible to give her a different class than "Immortal tank that kills everything in 3 miles radium" If the shity devs had not nerfed everything that made Maple so lethal and unkillable, she would have been, without a shadow of a doubt, even harder to beat than the eater of worlds, then again, while the world boss had been defeated, once Maple started to roll no one could ever stop her. There were so many things wrong with Maple as an entity, if Momonga seemed like the final boss of the game, Maple was the final boss of the game.
Momonga still had nightmares of when she appeared as seven immortal Atrocities during the last world event.
The summons Momonga could cast healed her when they died, the poison and paralysis damage from her AOE skills could eradicate an army, plus her shield despite being nerfed could consume any spell, ability, item, or player with a limit of ten per day, all of that without talking about her min-maxed vitality that combined with some unknown passive abilities ensured she wouldn't take damage no matter what. The guild had thrown several world items to counter Maple and on one occasion they managed to reduce her Hp to zero… or rather to 1, because, surprise surprise, she also had a skill that allowed her to resist any fatal attack with 1 hp. All of that without counting the multiple abilities and transformations that gave an immortal tank massive amounts of damage and AOE.
Even her big problem, agility was gone when she started flying through the air like a mecha… or with a giant turtle… or when she ran on 6 legs like an atrocity… Even when she was riding with her partner who min-maxed the speed.
Momonga was genuinely trembling at Maple's threat, without his teammates, he estimated that, without preparation, he along with the floor guardians had a 50% chance of winning, all assuming she didn't have some new rare ability.
Momonga suddenly felt like a bucket of cold water fell on his head calming down his sudden panic attack, like somehow his emotions were suddenly suppressed.
"Momonga-sama, is something wrong?"
Momonga's jaw dropped as Albedo, the NPC he just modified suddenly spoke to him…
Autor Note.
Hello! Little fanfic idea I have, I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to develop it and I also want to make it clear that I'm not an expert in Overlordo or Bofuri, I don't promise any constant updates as I'm a bit busy with my main story and the school, I still hope you like where this is going, and I appreciate any feedback.
Autor of the future here, I know this history has some shity chapters and some pretty bad writing so I tried to fix a bit the worst flaws of the chapters (caused by not planning the story before starting it but well, I didn't expect the story to do well) but overall it hadn't changed a lot and I'm yet not planning to fix some of the next chapter, real-life things you see.
Sincerly.
"Kisses!"
