It was about five thirty in the evening when the Gilbert twins finally found themselves surrounded by their two best friends; Bonnie Bennett and Caroline Forbes, for their girls' night. They had originally agreed to meet in the school parking lot at the end of the day to leave together, but Emily and Elena had found out during class that Bonnie and Stefan were going to meet up with the Martin's during the last period of school, so they all decided to just meet up at the Gilbert house.

Even though the only small disruption into their girls' night was the Bennett witch meeting with Jonas, it still took a little bit longer than it should have before the teenage girls finally got together. It took so long because the warlock wouldn't come to an agreement with Bonnie and Stefan as Jonas didn't want to help defeat Klaus without Elijah. There was also the issue of Caroline Forbes as she didn't know what she wanted to bring for girls' night, so the human girl had to go to the Forbes house for about thirty minutes to help Caroline pack some of her things for tonight.

But now that they had everything situated, the four best friends all stood in the kitchen of the Gilbert house with happy smiles adoring their faces as soft pop music played in the background while Elena pulled out the pre-made snacks that they had in the cabinet which consisted of a big bag of potato chips and two packages of Chips Ahoy cookies.

The Forbes vampire instantly groaned when she saw the brown eyed Gilbert place the food into bowls before bringing them to the kitchen island. "I cannot eat anymore junk food," Caroline exclaimed as she shook her head. That was all Caroline has been eating since she had gotten home from school today as Caroline has been feeling heartbroken over her brief talk with Matt this morning, so she definitely couldn't handle anymore junk food right now. "We need real food," Caroline stated before she glanced at the three girls and asked, "so, Chinese food or pizza?"

Emily playfully rolled her green eyes at her blonde best friend as if that was even an actual question right now. "You're joking, right?" The human girl inquired with a raised eyebrow before she exclaimed with a smirk, "you know there is no competition to the delicious Peking Gourmet Inn."

The Gilbert vampire instantly shook her head at her twin sister as she leaned her body against the kitchen island. "I swear, that is all you and Jenna live on," Elena muttered in amusement. It felt like every time they would get takeout, in Elena's opinion, her twin sister and aunt would always pick the famous Chinese restaurant across town. Elena honestly didn't see the hype of the place as it tastes like every other Chinese food that she has ever tried.

Emily swiftly placed her hand over her heart in exaggeration as she stared across at her twin sister in shock. "Do not disrespect my love," the human girl exclaimed in false anger - which immediately caused the group of supernatural beings to break out into laughter. It was beginning to feel like old times for the four best friends. It felt like they were back in eighth grade for their weekly sleepover when there was no life-threatening issue taking over their lives.

It took a full solid three minutes of laughter ringing throughout the Gilbert kitchen before the group of friends finally calmed down and gave each other bright smiles in contentment of being together again like normal teenagers. The blonde vampire then uttered, once she wiped the happy tears away from her blue eyes, "I'll order the food."

However, though, when Caroline grabbed her grey tablet from the kitchen island and turned it on, she instantly froze when saw the background picture on the home screen. It was the reason for her current sadness and heartbreak; the one and only Matthew Donovan.

"Hey," the soft voice of the Bennett witch called out as she interrupted Caroline's inner pity party before she gently took the tablet from Caroline's hands. "I'll do it," Bonnie assured the blonde vampire before she squeezed Caroline's lower arm to show that she was here for Caroline while she deals with her feelings over her Matt problem.

Emily couldn't help but look at her blonde best friend with her green eyes filled with sorrow as Caroline had explained what happened with Matt this morning when they drove together to the Gilbert house. Emily could only imagine what Caroline was feeling right now. So being the protective and caring person she is, Emily walked around the kitchen island and pulled her blonde best friend into a side hug as they silently watched Elena grab two steel bottles of blood from her hiding spot and two sodas from the refrigerator.

"So, do you believe that Jonas is being sincere?" The Gilbert vampire asked Bonnie once she placed the two cans of soda in front of her twin sister and the Bennett witch before she placed the other bottle of blood in front of the Forbes vampire while she kept her own source of food.

"I don't know what to believe," Bonnie huffed out as she typed in the name of the Chinese restaurant into Caroline's tablet so they could order their food. The Bennett witch then released a small sigh a second later before she glanced up at her three silent friends and added about what she and Stefan had found out today during their meeting with the warlock, "I think he's at a loss. He's not sure who to trust."

The kitchen in the Gilbert house immediately grew silent after that as each and every girl knew a little something about not knowing who to trust - more specifically; the two Gilbert sisters. However, though, Elena only didn't know if she could trust Katherine about actually helping them while Emily's thing was that she was trying to trust the people, her family and friends, who have recently lied to her which caused the temporarily death of the original; Elijah. It was all still a work in progress, though, as they all try to figure out a way to defeat the hybrid.

"Well," the Forbes vampire awkwardly drawled out as she tried to get rid of the tense silence and go back to their previous happy and carefree mood. Caroline then grinned at the three girls once their attention was on her before she questioned, "what are we going to about this movie situation?" The blonde supernatural being glanced at each face around the kitchen before she swiftly perked up as she had the perfect idea, "what about The Notebook?"

The Gilbert vampire, Bennett witch, and the human doppelganger all immediately groaned in unison at the movie suggestion as that is always Caroline's choice every time they are together. "Care, I love you, but I cannot sit through that movie again," Emily exclaimed as she was the first one to speak to the confused Forbes vampire. The green eyed girl shook her head as she was not going to budge before she added to her argument, "we literally watched that movie four days ago."

Caroline gaped in shock as she moved her blue eyes around the kitchen island and saw that none of them wanted to watch The Notebook. Rude, Caroline thought as she didn't understand what was wrong with her classical movie choice. "Well," the Forbes vampire then swiftly exclaimed once she got over her shock and countered right back to her best friend, "I will not watch one of your horror movies, either." Caroline crossed her arms over her chest as she mumbled, "they give me the heebie jeebies."

The three other girls in the kitchen all immediately busted out in laughter at the blonde's excuse for not wanting to watch a scary movie. It was the worse excuse in the world seeing as Caroline was one of the creatures that are sometimes involved in the horror genre. "How on Earth can you be scared when we are va-" The Gilbert vampire began as she was the first one to gain her breathing, thanks to her supernatural abilities, while Emily and Bonnie couldn't stop laughing.

However, though, before Elena could finish her sentence, the human girl quickly shouted to stop her sister from talking once she noticed who was walking into the kitchen, "Jenna!" The brunette girl knew this was definitely not the right time for Jenna to find out the truth, so thankfully Elena got the message and gave Jenna a nervous smile.

The strawberry blonde cautiously glanced at each teenager in the kitchen in confusion and suspicion while she slowly pealed off her jacket as she knew they were up to something by their so-called innocent smiles. "Uh, what's going on in here?" Jenna curiously inquired.

The Gilbert vampire looked at her aunt with a tint of sadness in her brown eyes as she immediately remembered what Alaric had told her and Emily about not being able to be with Jenna anymore. It made Elena feel bad for Jenna as she knew how much her aunt likes the history teacher. However, Elena swiftly shook her head after a couple of seconds as she got rid of the memory of this morning as she knew Jenna hates pity before she silently walked up to her aunt and stated simply, "we're just having girls' night."

Jenna took a silent deep breath as she slowly nodded her head before she murmured, "oh." The strawberry blonde was glad that neither of her nieces had already found out about what happened with Ric. She just wanted some normal time without having to think about her messy relationship, so Jenna was pleased that Emily and Elena were in the dark about her problems with the history teacher.

The human girl walked around the kitchen island when the room grew silent, once again, before she stood in front of her aunt. Unlike her twin sister, Emily didn't have a problem showing Jenna compassion as she knew the strawberry blonde needed to talk out her feelings. That was the only way Emily knew how to feel better again, so she did just that as Emily gave Jenna a soft smile before she gently asked, "you doing okay, Jennie?"

The strawberry blonde woman let out a heavy sigh as her fear was right; her nieces did know. "I'm guessing you guys spoke to Ric," Jenna mumbled as she glanced between Emily and Elena while she anxiously rung her hands together. The strawberry blonde knew she shouldn't be surprised that Alaric told her nieces as he has a close relationship with everyone in the Gilbert family. But Jenna just wished that he didn't as she didn't want anyone worrying about her, especially the teenagers she is suppose to be worrying about - not the other way around.

"He feels terrible," Elena jumped in as she moved to stand beside her twin sister in front of their aunt as she gave Jenna a small smile. The Gilbert vampire knew that Alaric didn't really want to end things with Jenna. It just had to deal with the fact that the strawberry blonde is in the dark for most of everything in their lives. Elena knew it was partly hers and Emily's fault that their aunt is upset since it is their decision to tell Jenna the truth, so Elena just wanted to make Jenna feel better right now.

The strawberry blonde suspiciously glanced between her two nieces and at the two girls behind them as she couldn't help but feel like this was about her since they know about her problems with Ric instead of the teenagers's usual get-together. "Is this some kind of attempt to cheer me up?" Jenna inquired as she was starting to feel like she is being coddled by her nieces.

Emily exaggeratedly rolled her green eyes at her aunt before she carelessly waved her hand to show Jenna that they weren't actually trying to cheer her up - which, of course, was a lie as Emily hated to see Jenna like this. "Why would we want to do that?" The human girl wondered with false confusion before she exclaimed as she glanced at her twin sister and best friends with a small shrug, "we're just hanging out like old times."

Elena quickly nodded her head as she gave Jenna the brightest smile that she could offer to convince the strawberry blonde that they weren't up to no good. "Yeah, it's just us girls," the Gilbert vampire added to what her twin sister had said before she suggested nonchalantly, "and you know, we'll be here if you happen to want to talk, or..."

However when Elena got to the end of her statement, she trailed off as she didn't know what to say without making it seem like she was feeling pity for Jenna. But thankfully for the Gilbert vampire, Caroline swiftly jumped in a second later as she exclaimed with an eye roll to ease the older woman's anxiety about her problems with the history teacher, "because I am a winner when it comes to successful relationships."

Jenna gave the blonde teenager a small but thankful smile as she was already feeling better now that she knew she wasn't alone in this. It wasn't like Jenna could go to her nieces about this when Emily and Elena are in happy relationships - despite Jenna not liking Elena's boyfriend, so the strawberry blonde was glad she has someone that is dealing with relationship issues. "You, too?" Jenna inquired as she stared over at the blue eyed girl.

Caroline nodded her head before she let out a humorless chuckle as the memories from this morning with Matt began to replay in her head, once again, like it has been doing all day long. "You have no idea," the Forbes vampire murmured as she stared over at her best friend's aunt with another small smile.

"Okay then," Jenna sighed out as she decided to cave in and join the four teenagers for their girls' night now that she knew she wasn't going to be the only one in her pity party of relationship failures. The strawberry blonde then squeezed her nieces's shoulders as she walked around them to get to the refrigerator as Jenna is glad to have them in her corner to make her feel better.

"It's this whole Isobel thing," the older woman began to rant as she pulled the door to the refrigerator open and grabbed the wine bottle that she had stashed away last night after John's horrible visit. Jenna silently shook her head once she closed the refrigerator before she faced the four teenagers and murmured disappointingly, "he's hiding something from me."

Emily's green eyes immediately found her twin sister's brown ones, which were already looking at her, at Jenna's words as Emily felt a load of guilt pile onto her chest. The human girl knew that she and Elena just needed to say the word and Jenna would know everything. But Emily just didn't feel like it is safe right now for Jenna to know about the supernatural and Isobel, so the only thing they could do at the moment is push down the guilt and remember that they are protecting Jenna. It was really the only thing keeping Emily from spilling her guts to her aunt as she just wants Jenna to be happy - which happens to be with hers and Elena's biological mother's husband.

"Uh, to play devil's advocate," the blonde vampire slowly began as she interrupted the tense silence after she noticed the saddened expressions on the twin sisters's faces before she stated, "maybe there is a great reason why he's not telling you." Caroline knew from what Emily had told her earlier tonight about what is going on with the strawberry blonde woman along with the fact that Caroline knew from her own experience with her mother that it wasn't a good idea for Jenna to find out the truth, so Caroline just tried to downplay the seriousness of Alaric's secrets. "Maybe he is just trying to protect you," Caroline added with a small shrug as she hoped that would ease Jenna's mind.

Jenna swiftly shook her head while she stared over at the blonde teenager with her brows furrowed as she completely disagreed with that theory. "That's not his call to make," the strawberry blonde exclaimed as she had this exact argument with Ric before she added in a low murmur, "I mean, I deserve the truth. Everyone does."

The Forbes vampire instantly moved her blue eyes down to her hands on the kitchen island as she was overcome by emotions from Jenna's statement. It made Caroline think back to why she wasn't currently with Matt right now as she is doing the same thing as Alaric is doing with Jenna. Caroline then let out a small sigh after a minute or so had passed before she looked back up at the strawberry blonde as she remembered that they were focusing on Jenna. "Sometimes it's harder than that," the Forbes vampire finally spoke again in a small mumble as she was getting wrapped in her own relationship drama again.

Jenna let out a small chuckle before she exclaimed as she didn't believe that for a second, "not if it's somebody you care about, it isn't." The older woman had always been taught that trust is the number one priority for a relationship to succeed ever since she was little, so Jenna just couldn't find it in herself to believe that Alaric is lying to her for some important reason.

The kitchen in the Gilbert house immediately grew tense with silence, once again, as everyone didn't know what to say. The teenagers all knew the meaning of Caroline's argument as it had to deal with vampires and the humans that are in the dark, but they couldn't exactly tell Jenna that. Instead, they all just sat there quietly as they tried to think of what they could say to the upset and confused strawberry blonde.

Finally, after about three long and awkward minutes had passed by, the Forbes vampire suddenly jumped up from her slumped over position against the kitchen island before she questioned no one in particular, "you know what we need?" Caroline then gave everyone in the room a bright smile as she remembered the event before she squealed, "dancing! There is a band at the Grill."

The Bennett witch gave Caroline a small smile as she nodded her head. "I'm in," Bonnie uttered as she agreed with her friend's plan. We all need to get our minds off of everything anyways,Bonnie thought as she knew the Gilbert sisters were stressed out and Caroline was dealing with her Matt problems along with the fact that Bonnie is still upset about not getting her powers back from Jonas.

The younger Gilbert twin and her aunt also nodded their heads in agreement once the excited Forbes vampire moved her blue eyes over to them before the Sommers woman and the Gilbert vampire uttered in unison, "in."

The three teenagers and the older woman then turned their gaze onto the girl that hadn't agreed yet which happened to be Emily Gilbert. The aforementioned human girl immediately rolled her green eyes when she saw that they were all waiting for her answer. "Of course I'm in too," Emily exclaimed which swiftly caused the Forbes vampire to squeal and three others to break out into laughter.

The human doppelganger couldn't help but join in with a chuckle as she watched her blonde best friend, who was talking quickly about how much fun they are going to have while Caroline began to push everyone out of the kitchen to leave for Mystic Grill. Yeah, they have a lot of worries right now with the sacrifice, Isobel, warlocks, and humans but Emily was glad that they were all taking a small break to relax and enjoy themselves. It was just what they all needed.

MYSTIC GRILL

Now the tables have turned,

Just a simple twist of fate.

Don't it make you feel small, in light of the world?

"Damn," Emily instantly mumbled to herself once she, Elena, Jenna, Bonnie, and Caroline walked into the noisy Mystic Grill and heard the surprisingly good alternative rock band and saw the large crowd of mixed ages dancing all throughout the restaurant. Emily was pleasantly amazed at the turnout of the event that she had aimlessly heard about in the hallways at school today. This is the perfect place to have some fun, the human girl thought as her twin sister swiftly grabbed her hand and twirled her around before they began to dance to the upbeat song.

However, not everyone was having a good time as the legal guardian of the dancing twins saw the one person that she was trying to forget about for the night walk into the Grill; Alaric Saltzman. The strawberry blonde let out a heavy groan as she realized she could never run away from her problems. "I need a drink," Jenna told the group of teenagers as she knew what would help before she quickly turned around and made a beeline towards the bar.

Emily instantly stopped dancing with a frown when she saw Jenna walk away with slumped shoulders as she wanted Jenna to have a good time tonight. She didn't want her aunt to be alone, so Emily released Elena's hands and went to follow after Jenna. But before Emily could even take one step towards the bar, the Gilbert vampire quickly grabbed ahold of her arm. "I don't think so," Elena exclaimed before she assured her twin sister, "Jenna's a big girl. She can handle herself." The Gilbert vampire then held out her hand with a small smile before she ordered, "now come dance and relax for once."

A deep frown was still glued onto Emily's face for another minute or so as she glanced between her grinning sister and upset aunt before Emily finally released a loud sigh. "I'm the one that is suppose to be always right," the human girl mumbled stubbornly with a pout before she slipped her hand into Elena's which caused her to be immediately pulled into the crowd of dancing people.

Emily knew Elena was right, though. She can't protect everyone from everything. So instead of being there for her aunt while she spoke to Ric, Emily danced in the crowd of people with her twin sister as they got lost into the music and acted like normal teenagers for once.

The Gilbert sisters danced their hearts out for about four minutes before they both came to a stop with heavy breaths once the long song came to an end. Emily then stared across at Elena with a soft smile as she couldn't remember the last time that they had just danced for the hell of it. Probably before our parents died, Emily thought as they definitely haven't had this much fun in a long time.

"Come on," the Gilbert vampire exclaimed with a chuckle after a moment of content silence had settled between them before she locked her arm with Emily's and pulled her towards their best friends; Caroline and Bonnie, where they immediately noticed a familiar face walking towards their small group.

"Hey, Matt!" The Forbes vampire greeted the human teenager with a happy grin as she couldn't help but get excited with finally seeing the blonde that she has been thinking about nonstop all day long - despite the current circumstances that they are under right now with Matt not exactly talking to her.

But sadly for Caroline, she didn't get the response that she hoped and wanted as Matt, once again, completely ignored her presence like he did this morning. The blonde human teenager only gave Caroline a side glance before he continued to walk through the packed out Mystic Grill and went to greet a blonde girl that they go to school with.

"Things just got real awkward," the Bennett witch mumbled after a moment of intense silence had settled between the four quiet teenagers in the loud Mystic Grill as they all watched as the Donovan teenager ignored the Forbes vampire.

Once Emily was shook out of the disbelief of Matt's behavior, the human Petrova doppelganger swiftly released her arm from her twin's and walked over to her saddened best friend. "Hey," Emily softly uttered as she placed her hand onto the blonde vampire's upper arm before she whispered, "it'll be okay."

Caroline finally moved her eyes off of Matt when she heard the human girl's voice before she stared into the calm green eyes of her best friend. "Will it?" The Forbes vampire desperately questioned out of exhaustion. Caroline felt like she couldn't do anything right when it comes to Matt. She just didn't know how she was suppose to make everything go back to the way they used to be when they were happy together.

"Well," Bonnie exclaimed as she bumped her hip into the blonde vampire's to get her attention before she gave Caroline a pointed look and stated to hopefully help her best friend understand what she needed to do, "he did say the ball's in your court."

A deep frown immediately rose onto Caroline's face as she stare at the Bennett witch before she swiftly mumbled while she shook her head, "yeah, but I can't do anything about it." The Forbes vampire felt like every time that she tries to make it work with Matt, he just always walks away from her or he just completely ignores her like he just did.

Bonnie rose an amused eyebrow at the Forbes vampire before she interrogated, "why not?" The Bennett witch didn't even bother waiting for another excuse from her best friend as she was tired of Caroline chickening out before she quickly added, "all you do is talk about how much you care about him."

Caroline moved her saddened blue eyes away from the smiling Matt, once again, before she looked over to Bonnie and exclaimed tiredly, "yeah, but I am still keeping so many secrets." It was like every time Caroline even thought about trying to get Matt to understand that she wants him, it just causes more piled up lies and secrets that she can't exactly tell him about without telling him about the supernatural world.

The group of four best friends all went silent after the blonde vampire's statement as the three other girls knew that Caroline is right. "Alaric is in the same boat with Jenna," the Gilbert vampire exclaimed after a moment had passed before she told Caroline, "and maybe that's our mistake. We're trying to protect the people that we love by keeping them out of it, but in the end, we're hurting them anyway."

Emily nodded her head in agreement with her twin sister. It was the hard truth about what they are doing with the people they love; for the Gilberts and Alaric it's Jenna and for Caroline it's Matt. "I know you feel scared right now, Care," the human girl began as she rubbed her best friend's shoulder, "but that boy loves you more than anything in this world. You just need to show him that you are invested into the relationship." Emily then gave Caroline a bright smile as she squeezed the vampire's arm before she exclaimed truthfully as she knows what it is like to feel so in love with someone, "the only way for Matt to know that you're here for the long haul is to put your heart on the line and show him how you feel."

The Forbes vampire stared into her best friend's confident green eyes for a couple of seconds as she absorbed the advice of the human girl before Caroline finally nodded her head while she hurriedly began to pull off her grey jacket as she knew exactly what she needed to do to get Matt's attention.

"Uh, what are you doing?" The Gilbert vampire inquired in confusion before she glanced between Bonnie and Emily to see if they knew what was going on. However, Elena didn't get the answer she wanted from her fellow vampire as Caroline only tossed her jacket at her without a single word. "Where are you going?" The brown eyed vampire confusingly questioned, once again, as she watched Caroline walk away before she glanced at the two girls beside her and asked them, "what is she doing?"

Emily grinned proudly as she watched her best friend walk towards the band on the front stage. The human girl then briefly turned her body to look at Elena and shot her twin sister a large smirk before she explained to the clueless vampire about what Caroline was about to do, "she's going to get her man."

"Hey, everybody," the Forbes vampire nervously uttered into the microphone once she took a step onto the stage. "Let's hear it for the band!" Caroline shouted before everyone began to cheer as she tried to gain the courage to speak from her heart in front of the whole town of Mystic Falls.

"This isn't going to end well," the newly arrived strawberry blonde woman mumbled once she stepped into line beside her oldest niece while she watched as the young teenager, who was having relationship problems like she is, jump onto the stage with some sort of plan.

Emily squeezed her aunt's arm like she did with her blonde best friend with a small smile before she wondered softly, "how are you doing?" The human Petrova doppelganger knew Jenna couldn't be doing good since she left Alaric at the bar and is now back hanging around teenagers.

The tipsy strawberry blonde woman only shrugged her shoulders as she didn't feel like talking about Alaric anymore before she swiftly handed her oldest niece a shot of tequila. "Drink with me," Jenna ordered before she bumped her shot glass with Emily's as she didn't give her niece an option.

Emily silently nodded her head as she knew that Jenna just needed to drink and ignore her feelings for a while. It was just something that she needed to do right now to help her heal. Emily would never turn down alcohol, anyways, so the human girl mumbled, "to girls' night," before she swiftly downed the tequila with her aunt.

"So there's this guy," the Forbes vampire nervously began as she placed both of her hands around the microphone before she tried to find Matt in the audience, "and, uh, he told me to tell him how I feel about him." Caroline let out a small chuckle as she mumbled, "like it's so easy." The blonde vampire then took a deep breath to calm her nerves before she continued which made her even more anxious as she spoke in a fast and erratic voice, "um, you know, just cause I talk a lot doesn't mean I always know what I'm actually talking about. Ah, like now, I'm feeling loopy and I don't really know how to express myself."

However, before the Forbes vampire could even get the courage to tell Matt how she feels, the lead singer of the band walked up to her to take the microphone away from her. "I can sing," Caroline quickly uttered so the man wouldn't ruin her chances to express her feelings. The blonde vampire then hurriedly nodded her head as she anxiously uttered, "yeah! Yeah. You know what, I'm going to sing."

Back in the audience, the Gilbert vampire looked over to her aunt, sister, and best friend in shock once she heard what Caroline was about to do. "Sing?" Elena gaped in disbelief as she had never even heard the blonde vampire sing in her entire life.

Emily shot her family and the Bennett witch a bright grin before she told them, "just wait and watch the magic happen." The human girl was the only one in their group that knew about Caroline's heavenly voice. It's Caroline's secret talent that she thought wasn't that good - which Emily completely disagreed with. "Go Caroline!" The brunette girl shouted through the silent audience once she turned back around and noticed the anxious expression on Caroline's face to help give the blonde vampire the confidence that she needed.

Caroline gave her best friend a small smile as she nodded her head before she closed her blue eyes and began to sing the familiar song by The Bangles as she prayed Matt would finally understand how she truly feels about him with the lyrics of the song, "close your eyes, give me your hand, darling. Do you feel my heart beating?"

"She's good!" Jenna yelled over the sound of the blonde teenager's soft but sweet voice as she glanced over towards her oldest niece with a pleased smile. The strawberry blonde woman couldn't help but be completely surprised by the young girl's singing voice. It was definitely different from anything she has ever heard before.

Emily bumped her hip into her aunt's with a smirk before she told Jenna and the two girls beside her with a proud smile adoring her face, "I told you so." The human girl was so proud of Caroline right now that she felt like a mom. "That's my best friend!" Emily couldn't help but shout as she cheered for the blonde vampire. The human girl then grabbed her aunt's hand and twirled her around as she wanted Jenna to feel better about her current problem with Ric while Elena and Bonnie also did the same thing as they began to dance as well.

However while she and Jenna moved to the soft music, Emily noticed a familiar pair of blue eyes looking in their direction when the strawberry blonde twirled her around. The human girl then instantly nodded her head towards the stage and mouthed to the blonde teenager, "go." Emily knew Matt just needed a little nudge and she was not just going to let Caroline put her heart on the line with zero reward - even though she already knew Matt felt the exact same way.

The Donovan teenager gave the brunette girl a small but thankful smile as he knew without a single doubt that Caroline was serious about them since Emily was encouraging him to speak to the girl of his dreams. Matt then took a deep breath to calm his nerves before he swiftly walked towards the stage with complete determination to express his feelings to Caroline.

The Forbes vampire instantly froze in her spot once she finished singing, opened her blue eyes, and saw the human teenager rushing towards her. "Matt...I..." Caroline began to try to explain how she feels but before she could even say anything else, the Donovan teenager surprised her as he swiftly placed his warm lips onto her cold ones for a passionate kiss.

"Woo!" The human girl instantly cheered with her aunt once they had stopped dancing and saw Caroline and Matt embrace each other. Emily was happy that her friends were finally together and that they finally expressed how they really feel for one another. They both deserve to be happy, Emily thought. Caroline especially does with all the stuff that she deals with while being a vampire and trying to keep her vampire-hating mother and the clueless Donovan safe from the dangers of the supernatural world. That is all Emily has ever wanted for her family and friends; for them to just be happy. So the human Petrova doppelganger was glad that at least something good was coming out of their girls' night.
