The Radkova witch sighed in relief when she finally pulled in front of the Salvatore boarding house. The traffic from Richmond to Mystic Falls had been horrible. Emily was extremely happy when she pulled Damon's blue Mustang in front of the boarding house. Emily shut off the muscle car before she released a loud groan when she could finally stand up on the concrete slab in the driveway of the Salvatore boarding house and she could finally stretch out her limbs.

Emily twisted her body and shook out her arms and legs until she didn't feel so sore before the Radkova witch headed up the porch of the Salvatore boarding house. The blonde teenager headed through the foyer before she quickly paused when she painfully found her deceased sister's doppelganger, Katherine. It just felt weird to see her sister's face when she wasn't actually here anymore. That is what Katherine probably feels every time she sees me, Emily thought to herself as she was in the same boat as Katherine with their dead sisters.

Emily soon furrowed her brows in confusion, though, as she watched as Katherine hurriedly paced the hallway between the foyer and the living room. The Radkova witch was honestly surprised that she was still alive. Emily would have thought Klaus would have killed Katherine already from the stories that Elijah had told her about their past together.

"Uh, Katherine?" The Radkova witch slowly called out to the Petrova vampire when Katherine continued to pace back and forth while she mumbled under her breath. "You doing okay?" Emily worriedly inquired as she could tell something was up with her sister's doppelganger. Katherine wasn't exactly someone that would show such emotion, so that worried the Radkova witch.

Katherine swiftly turned around when she heard a familiar voice before she sighed in relief when she saw Emily standing in front of her. The Petrova vampire used her enhanced speed before she pulled her sister's doppelganger into a tight hug.

Emily furrowed her brows in puzzlement as she embraced the Petrova vampire right back - but, of course, not as tightly as Katherine was holding her. The Radkova witch continued to hold Katherine in her arms before she slowly pulled away after a minute or so and worriedly inquired, "what's going on? Did something happen?"

Katherine released a heavy sigh as she stared down at her sister's doppelganger. "I have to tell you something," the Petrova vampire mumbled before she gently linked her cold fingers through Emily's warmer ones. Katherine silently pulled the blonde teenager into the living room and sat Emily down onto the leather loveseat without ever releasing Emily's hand.

"You're scaring me," the Radkova witch nervously mumbled as she looked across at Katherine when she hadn't even uttered a single word in the past three minutes. It didn't help that the Petrova vampire was only rubbing her thumb across Emily's palm as that didn't exactly scream Katherine's regular personality.

The Petrova vampire, once again, released a heavy sigh as she tried to prepared herself for the bad news that she was about to deliver to her sister's doppelganger. Katherine knew she should be ready by now since she was the one that volunteered to do this instead of Damon but she knew it was still gonna pain her to see Emily hurt from the news.

Katherine gave the blonde teenager's hand a light squeeze before she uttered, "alright, so, first things first, Damon is better and completely healed now." The Petrova vampire thought it would be best to start with giving Emily the good news first before she had to tell Emily the news that would most likely crush her.

Emily's green eyes instantly widened in surprise and in happiness. The Radkova witch was so happy that Stefan's lead had actually panned out and he had found the cure from Damon's werewolf bite. Emily quickly stood up from the couch as she released Katherine's hand before she excitedly exclaimed, "I need to see him!"

However, before Emily could even fully turn around and go see the eldest Salvatore, Katherine swiftly grabbed ahold of the blonde teenager's hand and kept Emily in her place. The Petrova vampire gave Emily's hand another light squeeze before Katherine mumbled as she shook her head, "that's not all that happened."

The Radkova witch furrowed her brows as she and Katherine slowly sank back onto the leather couch. Emily was definitely worried now. She knew something bad must of happened as that bad feeling started creeping up her chest like it always did when something horrible was coming. Emily took a deep breath before she anxiously asked her sister's doppelganger, "what happened?"

"A few hours ago, Stefan showed at Alaric's apartment - that's where Klaus has been keeping me all this time," the Petrova vampire recalled the events to Emily, "he came and asked Klaus if he knew what the cure for a werewolf bite was." Katherine released a humorless chuckle before she muttered, "as if this couldn't get anymore worse, the cure for the bite is Klaus' blood."

Emily didn't like where this whole story was leading. Nothing Katherine was telling her, sounded like there was a happy ending at all and it worried Emily even more when she knew it had to deal with her boyfriend. "Katherine..." The Radkova witch anxiously and slowly mumbled before she asked, "where's Stefan?"

The Petrova vampire slowly shook her head with a heavy sigh. "I'm so sorry, Emmie," Katherine quietly apologized before she further explained and told Emily the bad news that she had been dreading, "the only way Klaus would ever give up his blood and cure Damon of his werewolf bite was if Stefan gave his freedom to Klaus."

Emily's green eyes immediately widened in shock when she realized what her doppelganger's sister was telling her. "I have to stop him!" The Radkova witch exclaimed as she quickly stood up from the leather couch and rushed out of the living room.

There was no way that Emily was just going to let Klaus steal another person from her life. It was bad enough that he killed her twin sister and made her aunt turn into a vampire. Emily couldn't let Klaus take her boyfriend away from her too. Emily had to do something. The first two times when it came to Elena and Jenna, she didn't have a choice but she wasn't just going to fold over this time around.

However, before the Radkova witch could fully make it through the foyer and to the front door of the Salvatore boarding house, Katherine used her enhanced speed to move in front of the blonde teenager. The Petrova vampire tightly grasped ahold of Emily's shoulders to keep her in place. Once Katherine knew Emily was going to go running off, the Petrova vampire released the blonde teenager with a heavy sigh. "I know you want to help him but you can't," Katherine murmured before she told her sister's doppelganger, "if Klaus finds out that you are still alive, he will kill Stefan and everyone else you love."

The Radkova witch's shoulders slowly deflated when she realized that Katherine was right. If she was to even show her face to Klaus, it would mean every person she had ever cared about would be killed in every horrible way imaginable. Emily couldn't be the reason for everyone dying just because she wanted to be selfish right now.

That didn't mean it didn't hurt, though, as Emily felt a trail of warm tears sliding down her cheeks and down to her neck. Emily couldn't control herself when loud sobs started to rack through her body when Emily realized that she had lost Stefan to Klaus and from the fact that she didn't even know when she would ever see him again.

Emily was so wrapped into worrying about her boyfriend and what Klaus would make Stefan do that the Radkova witch didn't realize that her emotions were getting the better of her until Emily heard something break from behind. The Radkova witch flinched at the noise before she turned around and noticed that there was broken picture frame that used to be on the wall in the foyer.

Katherine released a small and amused chuckle when she realized what had caused the broken frame. "Well, would you look at that?" The Petrova vampire inquired with a smirk playing on her lips. Katherine waited until the blonde teenager had faced her before the Petrova vampire teased, "it looks like you really are little witch, huh?"

Emily released her own chuckle, despite the warm tears continuously falling down her face, before she mumbled, "yeah. Yeah, I am."

However, before either of the doppelgangers could say anything more, the eldest Salvatore vampire came slowly walking down the staircase as he loudly muttered in annoyance, "what the hell are doing down here, Katherine? Did you trip and fall over your huge ass ego?"

Damon quickly paused at the end of the stairs, though, when he noticed that the Petrova vampire wasn't alone. "Hey, there, princess," the blue eyed vampire greeted Emily with a soft smile.

The Radkova witch almost immediately ran into Damon's arms before she released a loud sob when she felt Damon's arms wrap tightly around her body like a protective net. Emily cried into the eldest Salvatore's chest for quite a few different reasons. She was extremely happy that Damon was all heeled up but she was also sad for what that meant for Stefan. She didn't even know if she would ever get to see her boyfriend again when Stefan is with Klaus, who thought she was still dead. It was a lot to take in at such a short amount of time when Katherine had just barely laid it out for her.

However, Emily knew that she needed to appreciate the little things when things were always going on in their crazy lives, so Emily decided to focus on the positive part and the fact that Damon was cured from his werewolf bite. "I'm happy you're okay," Emily mumbled against the eldest Salvatore vampire's chest.

Damon released a small chuckle as he gently ran his fingers through the young witch's blonde hair. "Me too, princess," the Salvatore vampire mumbled against Emily's temple. The duo stood their in a comfortable silence for a calm minute or so before Damon quietly whispered, "I'm sorry."

The Radkova witch released a shaky deep breath as she understood Damon's unspoken words - I'm sorry about Stefan. The blonde teenager tightened her grip around Damon's waist before she mumbled, "we'll get him back." Emily knew it was going to be hard when Klaus thought she was dead and gone but Emily wasn't just going to fold over because of some stupid hybrid. Emily knew it may take some time but she wasn't going to give up on her boyfriend like Stefan didn't give up on her.

"It's getting a little too mushy in here," the Petrova vampire muttered after a few minutes of watching Emily and Damon embrace and comfort each other. Katherine waited until the witch and the vampire turned to face her before Katherine inquired, "who could use a drink right now?"

Damon chuckled as he tossed his arm lazily over the Radkova witch's shoulder before he muttered, "seeing as I've been ill for days because of a stupid ass werewolf bite that could have killed me at any second, I think I could use one."

"I definitely could," Emily mumbled as she jumped into the conversation. "Dead sister? Check. Emotionless period? Check. Missing boyfriend? Check," the Radkova witch listed off on three of her fingers before Emily uttered, "I could really use a drink... Or ten."

The Petrova vampire released an amused chuckle as she walked up to the vampire and witch duo before she wrapped her arms around Emily's waist and began pulling her towards the living room. "Don't worry," Katherine assured her sister's doppelganger, "I'll make sure you get good and drunk tonight."

"Let the fun begin," the Salvatore vampire muttered as he clapped his hands together while he followed after the two Petrova doppelgangers into the living room.

The Radkova witch chuckled as she glanced back at her boyfriend's brother before they shared amused smiles while Katherine went to go pour bourbon into three crystal glasses.

Emily was in no shape or form okay with everything that was going on with her boyfriend currently being stuck with the feared hybrid and the fact that she had so much to live up to as the Protector of the Innocence.

However, Emily did feel a sense of calmness at the moment being surrounded by bourbon and loud rock music with her boyfriend's brother and her sister's doppelganger. Unlike most people, Emily did feel her calmness and most relaxed whenever she was around Damon and Katherine. She knew that she could always count on them. They may have had their ups and downs in the past but Emily always felt protected and safe around the two vampires. In Emily's opinion, this was the perfect way to end a worried-filled day.
