It took Elena two very long and agonizing hours of talking with the Forbes women about the lead on Stefan before Elena, just as she promised, returned back to her twin sister. It was longer than the human girl hoped for but she knew it was worth it with what she had found out.
Elena knew her sister wouldn't see it that way, though - especially when she found Emily pacing the living room when she arrived at the Gilbert house.
The Radkova witch had tried to ask Elena about what she had found out from Caroline and the sheriff. However, Elena only told her that Damon would want to hear about it before the human girl pulled Emily out of the Gilbert house.
Emily was quite annoyed during the whole ride to the Salvatore boarding house. The Radkova witch didn't like the fact that she had waited over two hours for information and Emily had to wait even longer now. The only thing stopping Emily from snapping at her sister was Elena assuring her that it was a very promising lead.
The Radkova witch was practically bursting with impatience when her twin sister pulled Damon's blue Mustang in front of the Salvatore boarding house. Emily just wanted to know what Elena had found out already.
"Come on," the Gilbert girl murmured as she pulled the keys out of the ignition before Elena exited out of her boyfriend's vehicle.
"Don't gotta tell me twice," the Radkova witch muttered as she quickly walked side by side with Elena as they headed up the porch of the Salvatore boarding house.
Elena glanced over to her twin sister with a light chuckle before she pushed open the front door. "Dam!" The Gilbert girl called out to her boyfriend as she and Emily headed through the foyer.
"Come on, Damon!" The Radkova witch shouted out with annoyance throughout her voice towards the Salvatore vampire, "we need to talk!"
Thankfully for Emily's irritation, the Salvatore vampire quickly appeared after her shouting. "You rang," Damon murmured in a singing voice from his stance at the bottom of the staircase.
The Gilbert twins followed the Salvatore vampire's voice before they both had two very different reactions to Damon's arrival.
"Jesus Christ, Damon," the Radkova witch swore before she swiftly moved her gaze up to the ceiling as fast as she could when Emily found the vampire completely naked.
"You do know other people live in this house, right?" Emily snapped in annoyance. The last thing Emily wanted to see today was her sister's boyfriend's naked body.
Meanwhile, Elena squealed in surprise. "Damon!" The human girl yelped when she saw her very nude boyfriend. Elena quickly took off her olive green zip-up jacket before she wrapped it around Damon's waist. "What were you thinking?" The Gilbert girl tsked as she scolded her boyfriend.
Damon stared down at his girlfriend with a deep pout to his lips. "I thought you were coming right back," the Salvatore vampire mumbled as he wrapped his arms around Elena's waist and began to teasingly kiss on her neck.
The human Petrova doppelganger groaned at the feeling of Damon's lips on her before Elena forced herself out of her boyfriend's arms when she heard Emily's complaining at the display of affection.
"Not now," Elena whined to her boyfriend. The Gilbert girl had to take a few steps back from Damon to not fall for his kisses and nakedness.
"Go put on some clothes already!" The Radkova witch desperately begged as she glared over at Damon, who was barely wearing her sister's jacket around his waist.
The Salvatore vampire widely smirked over at his girlfriend's sister. "What? You don't like my body?" Damon taunted as he playfully shook his hips.
"Damon!" The Gilbert girl scolded her boyfriend. Elena placed her palm onto the vampire's chest before she begged, "please, go get dressed." Elena pressed a little pressure to push her boyfriend as she added, "I need to tell you something important."
Damon silently stared down at his girlfriend for a few seconds before he rolled his blue eyes. "Fine," the Salvatore vampire muttered in agreement. Damon leaned down and pecked the human girl's lips before he used his enhanced speed to go back upstairs to put on some clothes.
"Sorry about that," Elena sheepishly apologized to her twin sister as she turned around to face Emily with a deep blush to her tan cheeks.
"You guys can't keep it in your pants for a second, can you?" The Radkova witch teased her twin sister with a smirk before she headed into the living room. Emily figured it would take the Salvatore vampire at least a few minutes to get dressed.
"Emily!" The Gilbert girl exclaimed as she slapped the back of the witch's shoulder. "Shut up!" Elena begged in embarrassment.
Emily released an amused chuckle as she flopped down on the leather couch. "Oh, come on, Lena," the Radkova witch uttered in disgust, "it's kind of hard not to hear you guys." Emily pointed her green eyes to the black headset on the coffee table before she added, "thank God for headphones."
"La la la la," the human girl sang as she plugged her point fingers into her ears before she muttered with an ever deeper blush on her cheeks, "I can't hear you!"
The Radkova witch giggled at Elena's exaggeration before she raised her hands in the air in innocence. "Alright, alright," Emily muttered as she agreed to stop teasing her twin.
Elena's despair thankfully ended when she heard footsteps heading their way. "There you are!" The Gilbert girl exclaimed when she saw Damon sauntering his way into the living room. Elena was just glad to have a distraction from talking about her sex life with her twin sister.
"Here I am," the Salvatore vampire murmured with a smirk before he walked over to the table of alcohol and began to pour himself a drink.
"Okay, I'm glad we finally got the greetings out of the way," Emily sarcastically uttered before she turned to her twin sister. "What did you find out?" The Radkova witch impatiently asked.
"I'm getting there," Elena uttered as she playfully glared her brown eyes over at her twin sister. The Gilbert girl pulled out a folded piece of paper from the back pocket of her jeans. "I got a promising lead on Stefan," Elena informed her boyfriend.
Damon rolled his blue eyes before he swiftly downed his whole glass of bourbon that he just poured. "I'm sure you did," the Salvatore vampire muttered before he quickly filled his glass back up with the amber liquor.
The Radkova witch ignored what Damon had said as she anxiously asked her twin sister, "what did they say? What did they find?" Emily was tired of waiting. Emily just wanted to know what was happening with her boyfriend already.
"Caroline and the sheriff zeroed the location to Memphis," Elena informed her twin sister and her boyfriend as she unfolded the piece of paper. The Gilbert girl passed the paper of an article over to Emily as she recalled what the Forbes women told her, "the news is calling it an animal attack. Of course they can't explain why the body parts were ripped off."
Elena lightly shrugged her shoulders before she commented, "I figured that it could be Klaus doing that stuff to the bodies."
The Salvatore vampire immediately used his enhanced speed to swipe the paper from Emily's hands. "Ripping you say," Damon muttered as he quickly read over the article.
Damon absolutely didn't like the word 'ripping' when it came to a vampire attack because Damon knew what it meant and it wasn't good for anyone involved.
"Hey!" Emily yelped when she realized that the Salvatore vampire had taken the paper from her hands when she was trying to read it. "Asshole," the Radkova witch muttered as she glared over at Damon.
"Yeah," Elena murmured as she responded to her boyfriend. The Gilbert girl took a seat on the couch beside her twin sister before Elena stated, "the sheriff said there was no way any animal could have done that when the bodies were found inside of a house and not in the woods."
The Salvatore vampire carelessly shrugged his shoulders before he muttered, "it could have been a mountain lion."
"Damon," the Radkova witch warned the vampire with a glare. This was no joking matter, so Emily definitely didn't want to hear Damon's jokes right now. "This is a lead we can actually look into!" Emily insisted.
"Yeah or it could be nothing," Damon muttered.
"It's worth looking into, though!" The Radkova witch argued. "We haven't found anything since they left Mystic Falls," Emily mentioned before she stated, "we got to start somewhere."
"She's right, Dam," the Gilbert girl told her boyfriend as she turned her gaze over to Damon. "We shouldn't ignore this," Elena stated as she shook her head.
The Salvatore vampire rolled his blue eyes in annoyance. "It's probably pointless, anyway," Damon muttered as he scrunched up the article before he carelessly tossed it onto the coffee table.
"If you aren't going to look into it, then I will," the Radkova witch exclaimed as she stood up from the couch before Emily grabbed the scrunched up piece of paper. "I don't know about you," Emily mumbled as she tried to smooth out the article before she stated, "but I'm not going to give up on Stefan."
"I'm not giving up," Damon argued before he stated as he poured himself another glass of bourbon, "I'm being practical."
"Whatever helps you sleep at night," Emily muttered as she rolled her green eyes in annoyance at the Salvatore vampire. "You can sit back and do nothing but I won't," Emily exclaimed before she swiftly turned around to walk out of the living room.
Emily absolutely refused to do nothing when they finally had a lead on Stefan's whereabouts. The Radkova witch didn't understand why Damon wasn't taking this serious. It annoyed Emily to no end but she wasn't going to sit back and do nothing like Damon was doing.
"I don't think so," the Salvatore vampire grumbled before Damon used his enhanced speed to stop Emily from leaving the room. "You aren't going anywhere," Damon exclaimed as he glared his blue eyes down at the Radkova witch while he tightly held onto Emily's wrist.
"Damon!" The Gilbert girl scolded her boyfriend as Elena quickly headed over to the vampire and witch duo. "Don't be so rough," Elena muttered as she forcefully pulled Damon's fingers off of her twin sister's wrist.
Elena may love her boyfriend while all of her soul but she wasn't going to sit back and let Damon treat her twin sister so poorly. The human girl would always defend her other half that is Emily over anyone else in this world.
"Then stop her from going on a suicide mission!" Damon ordered his girlfriend while he glared his blue eyes at the Radkova witch. "If Klaus even has an inkling that you're alive, he will kill you," the Salvatore vampire warned Emily before he glanced over to Elena and added, "the both of you."
"Look into the lead, then!" The Radkova witch argued as she glared right back at the Salvatore vampire. Emily heaved out a heavy sigh before she desperately begged with tears in her green eyes, "please, Damon."
"It's not like I'm asking you to sell your soul to the devil," Emily muttered. "If it's really only an animal attack, then we move forward," the Radkova witch stated with a shrug of her shoulders. "But if there is a chance this could be Stefan, then we owe it to him to check it out," Emily told the Salvatore vampire as she tried to convince Damon to look into this lead.
"This is Stefan, your brother, we're talking about," Elena jumped in as she reminded her boyfriend. "We can't just give up," the human girl mumbled.
Damon glanced between the Gilbert twins and the desperation in their gazes before Damon rolled his blue eyes. "Fine," the Salvatore vampire muttered before he snatched the article from Emily's hand.
"Yes!" The Radkova witch excitedly cheered as a wide smile quickly spread across her face. Emily clapped her hands before she curiously asked the Salvatore vampire, "so, when are we heading to Memphis?"
Damon barked out a loud and amused chuckle before he shook his head. "Oh, no," Damon murmured. "I said I would check it out," the Salvatore vampire reminded the witch before he stated, "I didn't say anything about you."
"Damon! Come on!" Emily whined in irritation as she threw her hands in the air. "I want to go, too!" The Radkova witch exclaimed like a toddler. Emily would admit that it wasn't her best look but this was Stefan they were talking about. Emily needed to go to Memphis to follow this lead for herself.
"I don't think so," Damon muttered as he shook his point finger at the Radkova witch.
"I wasn't joking around when I said Klaus will kill you if he sees you or Elena," the Salvatore vampire warned the Radkova witch. Damon raised his left eyebrow at Emily as he asked her, "do you really want to put Elena in danger?"
Damon knew his question was a low blow especially for Emily and how protective she could be for her loved ones. However, Damon knew he had to say it for the sake of the Gilbert twins and their safety.
The Salvatore vampire didn't want either of the sisters to be anywhere near Klaus or Stefan after reading that Memphis article. Damon knew his brother was the reason behind the body ripping and he didn't want Emily or Elena to have to see Stefan's brutal nature.
Emily immediately frowned at the Salvatore vampire's question. "No, I don't," the Radkova witch mumbled.
Emily, of course, wanted to follow this lead but Emily refused to put her twin sister in anymore danger than she already had in this last year. The Radkova witch definitely didn't want Elena anywhere near the hybrid, anyway. Emily felt extremely protective over her twin sister when Klaus is involved since he killed her the last time he was in Mystic Falls.
"Hey, we can go shopping," Elena suggested as she shot her twin sister a small smile. "You know school starts back up in a few weeks," the Gilbert girl reminded Emily as she hoped her suggestion could help keep her sister's mind off of the Memphis lead.
Elena, of course, would love to be involve in finding Stefan but she knew it was too dangerous for herself and Emily. They were both supposed to be dead right now, so Elena knew it wouldn't do anybody any good for Klaus to see them while they are trying to find Stefan.
"I guess," Emily huffed.
The Radkova witch wasn't thrilled about this plan at all. Emily loved shopping but she would rather be out there looking for her boyfriend. However, the thought of putting Elena into danger made Emily agree rather than fight Damon on this plan of theirs.
"Now that Princess is happy," Damon sarcastically uttered before he stated, "I guess I'll go find Alaric and Jenna." The Salvatore vampire folded the article and slipped it into his leather jacket pocket before he muttered, "Jenna's friend, Andie, should be able to give me an exact location of the attack."
Emily pointed her finger at the Salvatore vampire as she ordered him, "you better call if you find anything."
Damon rolled his blue eyes at the Radkova witch. "Yeah, yeah, yeah," the Salvatore vampire muttered as he carelessly waved his hand at his girlfriend's sister.
"Be nice," Elena told the Salvatore vampire as she walked up to him. The human girl wrapped her arms around Damon's neck before she softly pecked his lips. "Be careful," Elena begged her boyfriend.
Damon kissed the Gilbert girl's lips a few more times before he stared into Elena's brown eyes. "Love you," the Salvatore vampire whispered to his girlfriend.
Elena smiled softly up at her boyfriend before she murmured back, "I love you, too."
Damon pecked the human girl's lips once more before he walked around her. "Have fun shopping," the Salvatore vampire tauntingly told Emily as he glanced over at her with a wide smirk before he headed out of the boarding house.
"Asshole," the Radkova witch muttered while she glared at the now closed front door as if she was glaring directly at Damon.
"Hey, relax," Elena instructed her twin sister as she softly grasped ahold of Emily's hand to focus on her. "Everything will be okay," the human girl promised as she brought Emily into a tight embrace before Elena swore, "we will bring Stefan home."
"I hope so," Emily mumbled as she loosely wrapped her arms around her twin sister's waist.
The Radkova witch was, once again, frustrated for the millionth time today for being pushed on the sideline when it came to being involved in finding Stefan.
However, Emily wasn't going to give up just because Damon wasn't allowing her to go with him to Memphis. There was other ways for her to be involved without putting Elena in danger and the Radkova witch was going to do it.
There was no way that Emily was just going to let the older Salvatore vampire handle this lead when he rarely tells her anything, anyway. Emily was not going to sit back and watch. The Gilbert girl refused to let anyone stop her until Stefan was back in her arms again.
