Emily has already been at the potluck at the Lockwood mansion, which Emily found out was to show the town's unity from Jenna, for two hours now. The Radkova witch had been there for that long and she still hadn't gotten the chance to find Bonnie and talk about her necklace yet.

The Radkova witch was originally just going to drop off the chili and be on her way but Ms. Lockwood ended up pulling Emily into a long conversation with some local public figure. Emily honestly couldn't be bothered to know who she was talking and what the conversation was about when she had a frozen but destructive necklace in her black knitted tote bag.

Thankfully, Emily didn't have to do much of the talking. The Radkova witch was saved when Jenna and Alaric quickly joined the conversation. It gave Emily just enough time to sneak away.

Of course, that wouldn't be the end of Emily's duties as the darling child of Mystic Falls. The Radkova witch got pulled into several other conversations by multiple members of the founding families.

Emily talked about the humid weather with Mrs. Laundry. Emily then talked about the educational system within the local high school with Mr. Yang and talked recipes with Mrs. Kline.

The Radkova witch was currently in the middle of talking to Mrs. Fitter about her new granddaughter before Emily was finally saved by the Forbes vampire.

Emily felt so relieved and happy when she spotted the blonde heading her way. The Radkova witch honestly felt so drained from having all these random conversations when she had more important things to deal with.

"Hello, Mrs. Fitter," the Forbes vampire kindly greeted the elder woman as she moved to stand next to Emily. "I apologize for interrupting," Caroline murmured as she shot Mrs. Fitter a small smile before she stated, "but my mother has been looking for you."

"Oh!" Mrs. Fitter gasped as she placed her palm against her lips in surprise. "What does she need?" The elder woman inquired.

Caroline furrowed her brows as if she was thinking for a moment. "I think she said it has something to do with the library funds," the Forbes vampire informed Mrs. Fitter as the lie easily slipped from her mouth.

Mrs. Fitter's deep brown eyes widened before a sense of excitement took over her body. "Oh, that's excellent news!" The elder woman exclaimed. "Where's that lovely mother of yours, anyway?" Mrs. Fitter asked the blonde teenager.

Caroline pointed her thumb behind her as she told Mrs. Fitter, "she's in the ballroom."

"Thank you, dear," Mrs. Fitter murmured as she reached over and patted Caroline's lower arm before she turned attention over to the Gilbert girl. "I'm sorry to cut this talk short," the elder woman apologized with a frown before she stated, "but I really should speak with the sheriff."

Emily quickly waved her hand to brush off the apology before she shot Mrs. Fitter a kind smile. "It's perfectly fine," the Radkova witch assured the elder woman. "We can always catch up later," Emily mentioned.

Mrs. Fitter released a sigh of relief as she placed her palm over heart. "Thank you," the elder woman murmured as she smiled across at the brunette teenager. "I'll have to hold you to that, though," Mrs. Fitter exclaimed as she pointed her index finger at Emily with a wide grin.

"Yes, ma'am," Emily murmured in agreement as she shot the elder woman a polite smile.

"Well, I should be going," Mrs. Fitter uttered. The elder woman looked at the two teenage girls with a bright smile stretched across her face. "Have a nice day, girls," Mrs. Fitter exclaimed before she waved her hand as a farewell.

The Radkova witch and the Forbes vampire watched Mrs. Fitter with polite smiles displayed across their lips until the elder woman made it into the ballroom.

Emily immediately dropped her forehead down onto Caroline's shoulder as soon as she didn't have to continue with her façade any longer. "Thank God you came!" The Radkova witch whined.

The Forbes vampire giggled as she softly patted Emily's back. "Glad I could help," Caroline teased before she stated with amusement all throughout her voice, "besides, Elena said you probably needed saving from some old lady."

Emily quickly pulled her head off of the blonde vampire's shoulder before she tightly grasped Caroline's right hand. "Please get me out of here," the Radkova witch desperately begged, "before someone else tries to talk to me."

Caroline let out another giggle before she nodded her head. "You got it," the Forbes vampire exclaimed before she wrapped her left arm around Emily's waist. Caroline quickly began leading the Radkova witch out of the Lockwood mansion and towards the backyard.

"Keep your head down," the Forbes vampire advised after she noticed how many elders were glancing over to them as they walked. "These people are like vultures for you," Caroline joked.

"Oh, God," the Radkova witch groaned before she quickly moved her green eyes down instead of staring straight ahead. Emily kept her gaze down to her heels as she silently prayed that she didn't end up falling flat on her face while she simultaneously prayed that no one tried to pull her into another boring conversation.

"There you are!" Elena exclaimed when she spotted her twin sister heading her way. The human girl quickly stood up from the bench, where she and Bonnie had been sitting in the backyard. "Did you get lost?" Elena teasingly asked her twin sister.

The Radkova witch immediately looked to Elena with a glare to her green eyes. "Don't ask," Emily muttered.

Emily ignored the sounds of Caroline and Elena giggling at her as she walked past her twin sister and headed straight to her fellow witch. "Did you find anything useful in your grimoire?" Emily asked as she took a seat beside Bonnie on the bench.

"I think so," Bonnie mumbled as she flipped through her book of magic. "I found an identification spell at my house that might be able to tell us what magic affected the necklace," the Bennett witch stated.

"Let's give it a try," Emily uttered as she brought her black tote bag onto her lap. The Radkova witch dug inside before she pulled out her vervain necklace that was encased in a tiny block of ice. Emily hid the cube between her palms before she looked over to Elena and Caroline.

"Make sure no one is watching," the Radkova witch requested.

Emily did her own scan around the backyard to make sure no one looking in the direction before she lifted up her right hand from on top of the cube of ice. The Radkova witch thought about the heat of a fire before her fingertips were instantly lit up by small flames.

Emily placed her fingers back onto the cube before she began melting the ice around the necklace. The Radkova witch quickly moved the necklace away from her thighs as water began to pour down the sides of the silver piece of jewelry.

"Let me see," Bonnie murmured before she accepted the necklace out of the Radkova witch's hand. "This might take a while," Bonnie stated as she warned the brunette girl.

"It's okay," Emily quickly assured the Bennett witch as she shot Bonnie a small and comforting smile. "I'll be right here if you need anything," the Radkova witch murmured as she patted Bonnie's knee.

The Bennett witch smiled back at her fellow witch as a silent praise before Bonnie moved her gaze back down to her grimoire. Bonnie placed the silver necklace down onto a page before she began performing the identification spell.

While the Bennett witch was focused on finding the truth of Emily's necklace, the Forbes vampire turned to Emily before she inquired, "so, who's going to be your pick for a rebound?"

"Caroline!" The human Petrova doppelganger exclaimed in shock before Elena glared her brown eyes over at the Forbes vampire.

"What?" Caroline asked as she innocently raised her palms up in the air. "It's a honest question!" The Forbes vampire exclaimed as she defended herself. "Emily's single now," Caroline reminded the human girl before she stated, "she needs to have some fun!"

"She doesn't have to anything right now," Elena muttered before she quickly moved her brown gaze over to her twin sister. "You don't have to do anything you don't want to," the Gilbert girl softly murmured before she squeezed Emily's hand with a comforting smile.

"She shouldn't have to sit around and be sad because Stefan is a major asshole!" The Forbes vampire exclaimed. "There are people lining up just to have chance with her," Caroline stated as she waved her hands around in the backyard.

The Forbes vampire moved her blue eyes over to Emily as she snapped her fingers together. "Hey!" Caroline exclaimed before she suggested, "you can even give Tyler a chance."

The Radkova witch chuckled before she shook her head. "Let's not go there," Emily muttered.

While Emily loved the Lockwood werewolf greatly, she just couldn't see him in that way, even if she tried. Tyler would always be her best friend. Nothing more, nothing less.

"I appreciate you trying to look after me," Emily murmured as she shot the Forbes vampire a small smile before she shook her head. "My life is just too crazy for some rebound," Emily stated with a light chuckle.

"Besides," Emily began with a deep frown displayed across her face. "I still love Stefan," the Radkova witch murmured before she defended the Salvatore vampire, "he's just trying to protect me from Klaus. While I wish Stefan would have came home, I understand what he's doing."

Emily was, of course, very hurt by how the Salvatore vampire was trying to keep her safe, but she acknowledged and accepted it. Hell, Emily had tried to keep her loved ones safe in some very dangerous ways during the beginning of all of this supernatural mess.

"Well, he's still an asshole," the Forbes vampire grumbled as she crossed her arms over her pink dress. Caroline rolled her blue eyes as she mumbled, "I can't believe I'm saying this, but Damon is now the only Salvatore I'll tolerate."

"Hey!" Elena exclaimed as she looked over to the Forbes vampire in shock. "What's that supposed to mean?" The human girl gasped.

The Radkova witch couldn't help but chuckle in amusement. "Lena, come on," Emily exclaimed as she shot her twin sister a teasing grin. "You know Damon used to be a real jackass before you guys got together," Emily stated.

"Well, he still is," Caroline uttered with a chuckle before she stated, "he's just easier to be around now."

Elena playfully rolled her brown eyes at her twin sister and best friend. "Oh, whatever," the human girl mumbled before she quickly joined in with the laughter.

The witch, the vampire, and the human doppelganger laughed together for a few minutes before they were soon interrupted when Bonnie called, "uh, guys... I think something's happening."

Emily quickly sobered up before she looked over to her fellow witch. The Gilbert girl followed Bonnie's gaze down to the Bennett grimoire before Emily's green eyes immediately widened in surprise. There between the book and Bonnie's hand was the vervain necklace floating in the air.

"What did you do?" The Forbes vampire gasped.

Bonnie slowly shook her head. "I'm not doing this," the Bennett witch mumbled as she kept her brown eyes locked onto the necklace. "It's like the thing has its own magic," Bonnie uttered.

"What do you mean?" Elena asked in confusion.

"It means that this necklace isn't an ordinary necklace," Emily mumbled as she pointed to the floating piece of jewelry.

The Radkova witch quickly looked over her shoulder when she heard a loud chuckle behind her. It reminded Emily that they weren't alone. Emily could see at least twenty people just walking around them. This was definitely not the right place to be practicing magic.

"We need to take this somewhere more private if we're ever going to find out what's going on," the Radkova witch advised as she turned back to her twin sister and best friends.

"Yeah," the Bennett witch agreed, "that's probably for the best."

Emily took another glance around them to make sure no one was focusing on their group before the Radkova witch moved the coldness through her body until it reached her fingertips. Emily shot a layer of ice around the necklace before it dropped down onto the Bennett grimoire.

The Radkova witch picked up the block of ice from the book before she quickly shoved it back into her black tote bag. The ice was the only way Emily knew for sure that the witch on the other end wouldn't be able to use their magic on the necklace. The last thing Emily needed was for her necklace to blast some sort of energy in a crowded area with innocent humans around.

"I'm not sure how long this will take," the Radkova witch murmured as she stood up from the bench and looked over to Elena and Caroline. "Can you guys make sure no one comes looking for us?" Emily requested.

"I'll make sure none of the elderly come looking for you," the Forbes vampire joked as she shot Emily a playful grin.

Elena lightly chuckled at the Forbes vampire before she shot her twin sister an assuring smile. "We'll take care of it," the human girl vowed.

"Thanks," the Radkova witch murmured as she playfully rolled her green eyes at Caroline and gave Elena's wrist a short squeeze when she walked past them.

"We'll find you guys when we finish," Emily promised before she grasped the Bennett witch's free hand. The Radkova witch turned around from Caroline and Elena before she began to pull Bonnie into the Lockwood mansion.

"Where are we going?" Bonnie curiously inquired as she tried to keep up with the Gilbert girl's fast footsteps as they walked through the foyer of the mayor's house.

"Tyler's room should be clear for us to use," Emily called out to the Bennett witch as she quickly led them up the staircase.

Thankfully, Ms. Lockwood was too busy with one of her guests or an important task. The brunette woman was always so picky with people going upstairs during one of her parties at the mansion. Emily couldn't count how many times she and Tyler got in trouble from trying to sneak upstairs during a founding families' party.

The Radkova witch slowed down her walking once she and Bonnie made it to the second floor. It was clear of anyone, so they didn't exactly have to rush.

Emily led the Bennett witch down to the end of the hallway to Tyler's bedroom. The Radkova witch released Bonnie's hand before she carefully opened the bedroom door.

Emily let out a sigh of relief when she saw that the room was completely empty. The Gilbert girl hadn't seen much of Tyler at the party, so she was glad to know Tyler wasn't in here hiding out.

"Come on," Emily murmured as she opened the door all the way. The Radkova witch waited for Bonnie to enter the room and quickly followed before Emily locked the door behind them.

"Hey, did you happen to find anything in your grimoire?" Bonnie wondered as she plopped down on top of Tyler's king sized bed.

"I actually did," Emily stated as she pulled her Radkova grimoire out of her black tote bag before she placed it down onto Tyler's navy blue comforter.

"I contacted Maria to see if she knew anything about the necklace," Emily began as she pulled out the cube of ice that was wrapped around the aforementioned piece of jewelry before she tossed it onto the bed.

"It was a long shot," Emily sighed before she stated as she jumped on top of the blue comforter, "but I thought it might help us understand what kind of magic was causing all this stuff."

"Did she recognize it?" Bonnie inquired.

"Surprisingly, yes," Emily uttered with a light chuckle. "I was on the fence at first because I thought Maria would have noticed the necklace the last time we talked to her at your house," Emily stated before she recalled, "but Maria said she hadn't been paying attention at the time."

The Radkova witch shrugged her shoulders before she muttered, "that's understandable, though. We were dealing with bringing Lena back, so none of us had time to really focus on a necklace back then."

Bonnie nodded her head in agreement. "Yeah, that's true," the Bennett witch murmured.

"Anyway, Maria says this necklace belonged to the very first Radkova witch back in the tenth century," Emily stated as she picked up the aforementioned piece of jewelry and began to unmelt the ice with the flames on her fingertips.

"The story is that the first witch, the original witch, stole it from her because of this red ruby," Emily murmured as she ghosted the pad of her thumb over the stone. "Maria says the original witch found out the truth, that the ruby held great power for whoever had it," Emily recalled.

Bonnie immediately furrowed her brows in confusion. "How come we haven't felt the power, then?" The Bennett witch asked.

"The power can't be felt by others anymore," Emily stated as she shook her head. "The original witch made sure of that," the Gilbert girl mumbled before she uttered, "the original witch broke the connection between the necklace and the Radkova coven when she shattered the ruby. The original witch put it back together with her blood, so she would be the only one to use its power."

"What kind of power are we talking about?" Bonnie inquired.

Emily furrowed her brows together as she mumbled, "Maria wasn't sure." The Gilbert girl shook her head as recalled Maria's words, "she said there were stories that it was a way to contact the original witch after she broke the connection between the Radkova coven."

"Does that mean we should contact the original witch?" Bonnie questioned before she explained, "I mean, maybe she knows why the necklace is reacting this way."

"Maria did advise me not to try to contact the original witch," Emily admitted. "She said the original witch is nothing but pure evil," the Gilbert girl recalled.

Emily looked down to the silver piece of jewelry with a frown. "Honestly, Maria said I should lose this all together," the Gilbert girl mentioned, "but she also said I should at least find out what other witch is channeling this necklace."

Emily moved her green eyes over to the Bennett witch as she uttered, "Maria says it could be someone trying to warn me or it could be someone dangerous coming for me."

"Well, that's just great," Bonnie sarcastically muttered. Bonnie shook her head as she added, "if it's not one thing, it's another."

Emily released a small chuckle. "Never a dull moment when it comes to us, huh?" The Gilbert girl joked.

"Never," Bonnie murmured with a smirk.

The Radkova and Bennett witches shared a series of chuckles together as they laughed over how seriously messed up and crazy their lives were.

Bonnie was the first one to sober up as she opened up her family grimoire. "So, what are we supposed to be looking for to find this witch using your necklace?" Bonnie inquired.

"We need to look into channeling spells," Emily advised as she opened up her grimoire as well, "see if we can find something like a reversal spell." The Radkova witch began flipping through her book of magic as she commented, "that way, we can find out where the channeling is coming from."

Emily looked up from her grimoire and over at the Bennett witch before she muttered, "I know it won't give us the complete answer we want but maybe it'll make it easier to find where the witch is, so we can see what they want."

Bonnie nodded her head in understanding. "We gotta start somewhere," the Bennett witch murmured as shot Emily a small smile before she moved her gaze back down to her grimoire.

The Radkova and the Bennett witches silently began their search through their respected grimoires. It was quiet in the Lockwood bedroom as Emily and Bonnie worked together to find the solution to their necklace problem.

It was about eight minutes later when Emily found a whole section in the Radkova grimoire dedicated to channeling.

The Gilbert girl pulled the book of magic closer towards her face as she quickly began to scan through the words to see if it would help them in someway. Emily flipped through multiple pages before she stopped when she found an exact photograph of her necklace.

It was supposedly a witch's talisman, at least that was what it used to be for the Radkova coven before the original witch stole it.

Even though the necklace or talisman didn't hold the power of the Radkova coven anymore, there was still a way for Emily to use it in her favor since she has the blood of a Radkova witch.

"I might have something," Emily announced as she turned the grimoire sideways to show Bonnie the spell she had found.

"I'll have to pull the ruby out," Emily stated. "Since the necklace originally belonged to a Radkova witch, if I can raise the temperature up enough with ice, it should show me where the magic is coming from," the Gilbert girl explained what she had read about the spell.

"It's worth a shot," the Bennett witch muttered as she lightly shrugged her shoulders before she added, "I'm coming up empty on my side." Bonnie closed her grimoire and set it aside on the bed before she asked, "what do we need for the spell?"

Emily briefly glanced down to the spell before she murmured, "it seems like I just need a map. If I do it right, the water from the ice should point us in the location of the witch using the necklace."

"A map," the Bennett witch mumbled as she slowly stood up from Tyler's bed. Bonnie turned to the Gilbert girl as she asked, "you wouldn't happen to know if Tyler has a map around here, would you?"

Emily softly chuckled. "Yeah, there should be one in the desk drawer," the Radkova witch stated as she pointed over to the wooden desk in the corner of the room.

Bonnie rose her right eyebrow in surprise. "Tyler owns a map?" The Bennett witch inquired.

Emily carelessly waved her hand. "It was back when Tyler's dad used to make him go hunting all the time," the Radkova witch explained. "Ty kept them especially when he began searching for werewolf packs to help him," Emily added.

"That makes sense," Bonnie murmured in understanding. "Give me a sec," the Bennett witch told Emily before she headed over to the desk to look for a map.

The Radkova witch made sure Bonnie was looking in the right place before she turned her attention back onto her grimoire. Emily released a long and deep sigh as she stared down at the spell.

Emily could only hope that the spell worked out in their favor. They had already tried one spell, which had ended in a failure. The Radkova witch didn't like not knowing what was going on, so Emily really hoped this spell would give them a clue about this other witch.

The Gilbert girl was too curious not to get the answer she wanted. The fact that some witch was using their magic with her necklace made Emily want to know what the witch wanted, especially when the piece of jewelry originally belonged to her coven.

"Got it!" The Bennett witch exclaimed after a few minutes of searching through Tyler's thing. "I found a couple of them," Bonnie uttered as she quickly walked back over to the bed to join her fellow witch. "I wasn't sure how wide of a search you wanted," Bonnie commented.

Emily accepted the stack of maps from the Bennett witch's hand. "We have no way of knowing if this witch is here in Mystic Falls or all the way in New York," the Radkova witch mentioned as she flipped through the maps. "I figured a U.S. map would give us a good start," Emily stated.

"Here we go," Emily murmured when she found the map she was looking for. The Radkova witch tossed the stack down on the ground before she quickly spread the U.S. map on top of Tyler's bed.

Emily picked up the silver necklace before she placed it on the center of her palm. The Radkova witch focused her green eyes onto the red ruby to start the spell to remove the stone from the necklace.

"Veni ad me. Red sicut sanguis..." the Radkova witch slowly pronounced as she began to chant the incantation of the spell. [Come to me. Red as blood...]

However, Emily didn't even get the chance to uttered the spell thoroughly before an electric charge shot out of the necklace and zapped Emily's palm.

"Shit!" The Radkova witch yelped before she quickly tossed the necklace down onto the bed to break the electric pain. Emily released a heavy sigh as she shook out her hand to get rid of the numbness in her hand.

"Emily!" The Bennett witch suddenly yelled, "I need help!"

The Radkova witch quickly followed Bonnie's voice before Emily's green eyes widened when she saw the Bennett grimoire was on fire. "Oh, crap," Emily mumbled before she swiftly lit up her hands with a smoke-like vapor.

The Radkova witch placed her palms on top of the grimoire and on top of the burning flames. Emily absorbed the heat and suffocated the book with the coldness from her palms until she couldn't feel the flames any longer.

Emily slowly pulled her hands away before she let out a sigh of relief when she saw that the grimoire was unburnt and safe. "Well, this isn't a good sign," Emily huffed as she stared down at the contents on Tyler's bed with a frown.

"No kidding," Bonne mumbled.

The Radkova witch swiftly moved her green eyes over to her best friend at the sound of Bonnie's voice. "Are you okay?" Emily worriedly asked as she did a quick scan over the Bennett witch's body, "did you get burned?"

"No, no. I'm fine," Bonnie promised as she shook her head. The Bennett witch looked down at her grimoire before she mumbled, "luckily, I wasn't holding it."

The Radkova witch silently squeezed Bonnie's hand as she was glad that her best friend didn't get hurt from the attack. Emily would hate if something were to happen to the Bennett witch when this was because of her and her necklace.

"Someone is definitely trying to stop us from finding out what they are doing," Emily mumbled as she turned her gaze over to the talisman necklace with a deep frown embedded on her face.

It was quite obvious that the witch was doing something they didn't want anyone else to know about. Another fact, Emily definitely knew now that the witch wasn't trying to warn her about any sort of danger. They were the one bringing out the danger.

What ever that is happening on the other end of the talisman necklace, Emily just knew it wasn't anything good. The Radkova witch had this bad feeling in the bottom of her stomach that told her that danger was heading straight here to Mystic Falls and is coming for her.
